Our company is Mr. B’s Air Duct Cleaning and we clean residential and small commercial buildings in the middle Tennessee area.

What challenge were you trying to address with Zellus?

We’re a small, independent organization but I had been spending an excess of $100,000 a year for TV ads. While we got exposed to 750,000 people, it didn’t mean that all of them would be calling us. What I wanted was to get the same level of exposure but to have more customers call in, so I turned to Zellus.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Zellus has handled all of my advertising and marketing. They’ve created Facebook ads and have designed our website to make it look more professional and attractive to customers. I’ve done a lot of the writing as well, since I’m in complete control of the website. Their team has generated a lot of the content around those ads but everything has come through me first for corrections and adjustments. 

Since we’ve started getting more responses through different tchannels, we’ve begun to do a lot of work through Google with the team’s supervision. We’ve also touched a bit on Yelp. 

What is the team composition?

Craig (Owner) does most of the management and billing-related tasks, but I talk directly with Carl (Creative Director) who he does a lot of the computer-related stuff along with his staff. 

How did you come to work with Zellus?

I’ve been in business for over 22 years and have spoken to several providers over the internet. I’ve hired different marketing agencies as well but I’ve been dissatisfied because what they said they would do didn’t come through. 

A friend of mine who finally referred me to Zellus. I met with them and decided to give them a six-month trial. From day one, they delivered exactly what they promised they would and continued to do a better job. I was not disappointed so I continued the partnership. 

How much have you invested with them?

I’m spending close to $50,000 a year.

What is the status of this engagement?

I’ve been with Zellus since April 2019 and our partnership is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The team has accomplished their goal of moving us up in terms of our category and listings. Even Carl has achieved his personal goal of putting us in a position where we no longer needed to spend on TV ads.

From all of the reports they’ve given, it’s clear that Zellus has helped our company move up considerably. Carl has better pinpointed the cities that are important to my business. Our situation last year was really bad, but our partnership with Zellus has allowed us to maintain, if not exceed, our current standing.

How did Zellus perform from a project management standpoint?

Our process begins with me and Carl discussing our ideas. Once we form a good plan, he takes on it and executes it. We get together occasionally since he is located 90 miles away. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

One thing that sets Zellus apart is that they do exactly what they tell us they’d do. There’s never been an instance of underdelivery, which means an awful lot to a small, independent business like ours.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There isn’t any. I have a lot of trust and faith in them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Allow Zellus to do what they do; don’t try to hold them back. Take into consideration everything that they suggest because they will help your customer volume.

Our website always stays at the top of Google searches and our Google Ads have been consistently getting getting stronger with a lower cost per click than when we started.

We receive monthly reports from Zellus and check-ins to see if there are any additional opportunities to help in our marketing efforts. They have always been available to help with any questions, regardless if it falls in line with the services they provide for us. They have also always had quick turnaround times on responses and new projects.

Zellus is great to work with because you are speaking directly to the people managing your account (no customer service). Because of this, they have always been free to come by our office to troubleshoot or meet to discuss new projects. We have been thoroughly impressed.
