I’m the CEO and founder of Browned 2 Perfection Agency, and we’re a creative marketing and event company. We focus on digital content strategy, influencer marketing, brand campaigns, and experiential marketing.

What challenge were you trying to address with Your Project Board?

We needed someone to consult us on how to structure our business from client intake, to personal brand projects.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They’re a virtual assistant company so Ayanna (Owner & Founder) started off as our executive assistant — but her role is much more than that, as she also helps us with the operations of our business. They basically handle my day-to-day, email correspondence, appointment scheduling, and because I have a personal brand, they also orchestrate how people can reach me by creating assets for clients — such as video editing.

Apart from that, they also conduct interviews for new staff when we onboard talent and help us draft up contracts and proposals for both clients and employees. Your Project Board essentially organizes my business using different software such as QuickBooks, HoneyBook, and Google Suite.

Moreover, they also train our team in certain areas and create strategies and promotional assets for various purposes. I recently launched a book which they strategized to make sure it gets sold at Barnes & Noble.

What is the team composition?

Ayanna is my executive assistant and operations manager, and I also work with Jayne (Lead Graphic Designer).

How did you come to work with Your Project Board?

They were recommended to me by someone on Twitter, so I checked out their website and filled out the brief form.

How much have you invested with them?

We spend at least $1,200–$1,500 USD a month

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership started in July 2020. As long as it makes sense for the business, I want to continue working with them, as they’re a really important part of our journey.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since partnering with Your Project Board, we’ve gained six staff members, multiplied our revenue within the first six months of working with them, and we’ve achieved our first six-figure revenue year.

I’ve also had compliments from clients who aren’t used to independent marketing entities being this organized and efficient. The team is just pleasant to work with and they reflect our core values as a company really well.

How did Your Project Board perform from a project management standpoint?

I’m usually the one that’s not on schedule and on budget, so they excel from a project management perspective. We communicate through Zoom, Google Meet, Slack, email, and text messages.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re very impressed with their personable approach. They provide a human factor to the project, and I feel like I’m working with someone who is similar to how I work. They bring a perfect balance of professionalism and personability.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I want them to promote and market themselves more, so more people could know how wonderful they are. I’m really happy with them and I want to see their company grow.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would say come with the idea you want, but also keep in mind that it’s okay if you don’t know every single detail of it — Your Project Board can help you figure it out. I would also suggest being ready to do the work because they can set the systems in place, but you still have to put the time and effort into the partnership.

I'm the owner of Creative Flame Media. We are a marketing agency that works with B2B and technology companies.

What challenge were you trying to address with Your Project Board?

We were looking to bring on an administrative assistant. My co-owner and I found ourselves in the weeds a lot and we wanted to free up our time to perform more tasks that drive revenue for the company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They performed typical administrative assistant work. They answered and re-directed phone calls, took notes at our board meetings, handled inbound emails and routed them to the corporate team members, as well as market research to promote sales and business development activities. We also hired them on for project management for one of our projects. They oversaw client meetings, internal meetings, followed up on action items, and ensured different team members stayed in pace with their goals.

We've worked with seven of their team members, which included an administrative assistant and a project manager.

We learned about their services from a word-of-mouth referral, and they contacted my attorney.

We've invested less than $10,000.

Our work spanned from July – December 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

As an agency, time really is money, since we work with billable hours. To be able to hand off some of the research, client calls, or back-and-forth emails to Your Project Board and have them manage it effectively and efficiently allowed our internal team to do more for the company. 

How did Your Project Board perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated over the phone, video chats, and emails. We gave them access to Asana, but we didn't end up using it that often.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were really professional and felt like an extension of our staff. Even though they were remote, it didn't feel like they were distant.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Setting up a bi-weekly or monthly call just to check-in was really useful. Having those meetings and being proactive helped us to assign them tasks, so we wouldn't forget to give them work.

I am the CEO of a technology and marketing company based in the metro Atlanta area. We serve clients of all sizes from startups to Fortune 100 companies.

For what projects/services did your company hire Your Project Board?

We were looking to get proactive with marketing our company in social media channels because we had no presence there. Plus, we were also looking for executive assistant tasks to be taken care of.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to increase our company’s visibility in the social media space and offload some tasks from the leadership team to executive assistants.

Quite frankly, we selected Your Project Board based on referrals from several of their clients.

After a couple of discovery meetings and an evaluation of our current marketing efforts, Your Project Board provided us with a plan that fit within our framework and budget.

We work closely with the social media marketing manager as well as the principal of the company.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since we were starting from ground zero, we didn’t have a baseline to compare. However, we have been experiencing continual growth and increased engagement in our social media channels. As a bonus, we also have been fortunate to have acquired a new customer from our social media efforts.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Your Project Board effectively communicates with us in various methods based on what was being communicated. Everything is extremely organized and effective.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

What is most impressive about Your Project Board is that they deliver results beyond what is expected. They also find ways to also streamline and improve our current business processes.

Are there any areas for improvement?

If anything, it would be nice if they were available to us 24/7 but we know that’s not possible as they have other clients to service as well.
