The objective of the project was to plan, launch, and optimize a comprehensive Google Ads program to drive customer acquisition, increase revenue, and improve return on ad spend (ROAS) for the brand’s direct-to-consumer e-commerce business.

The work included campaign strategy development, account setup, creative development, ongoing optimization, and performance reporting across Google’s advertising ecosystem.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project did not demonstrate meaningful progress or success. Key performance metrics declined during the engagement period.

Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) dropped significantly, while cost per acquisition increased and overall conversion rates declined. Despite continued ad spend, the campaigns generated less revenue than prior performance benchmarks.

In addition to the poor performance outcomes, communication throughout the project was inconsistent and unresponsive. Requests for updates and explanations regarding declining results were not adequately addressed. Billing also continued after explicit instructions were given to pause campaign activity.

Overall, the project failed to deliver the expected improvements in advertising performance and raised concerns regarding both campaign management and operational accountability.

Project management was poor throughout the engagement. Deliverables were often delayed or lacked clarity, and communication was inconsistent. Requests for updates or explanations regarding campaign performance were not addressed in a timely or satisfactory manner.

Responsiveness to our needs was limited, particularly when performance concerns were raised. In some cases, instructions provided by our team were not acted on promptly, including requests to pause activity and billing. Overall, the level of project oversight and responsiveness did not meet expectations.

Nothing. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Yoru Marketing could have done differently?

One key area for improvement would have been assigning a more consistent and experienced team to the account. Multiple people were rotated onto the project, which created confusion, reduced continuity, and made communication more difficult.

In addition, the team members assigned to the account appeared to be relatively junior and lacked the experience required to manage a performance-driven DTC advertising program effectively. Greater senior oversight and clearer accountability would likely have improved both communication and campaign performance.

I'm very sorry to hear about your experience with us. Upon checking, up until the very last minute of us working together, you had nothing but good things to say about the results we were achieving. While there were ups and downs overall, as there are in general on Google ads, the issue of a low ROI was never brought up in any conversations we had. There was significant changes in our results , from being break even we went to doing $30k-50k a month in revenue and being profitable.

The ability to deliver more than what they have promised has been impressive. We were told that we would be profitable in 3 months but it happened in the first month itself. we were so happy .

Specific measureables are hard to quantifity as the project was an ongoing one but they successfully managed our google ads channel and campaigns to consistently bring in above a 2.0 ROAS on all adspend.

Management was great and would respond very quickly to and ideas or concerns I did have. Projects never lagged behind and they were happy to accomidate me on any extra ideas that may have been out of the scope of our original agreement.

We were following Shri Kanese's methods on running a business on Google Ads since before he formed Yoru Marketing. Hence, we were excited to let him monitor our campaigns and see how our business could grow.

We had a kick-off meeting to discuss our goals and objectives. From there, Yoru marketing delivered mock-ups and wireframes for our site. After a few iterations, their team designed and developed a great proposal for us.

A project manager named Danielle was our main point of contact throughout the process. Shri was also there working behind the scenes.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After launching the ads, we saw a 70% in traffic, and our sales doubled month over month. Ads spent was lower and proper strategies were imposed.

We had daily stand-ups with their project manager, Shri will also write us a weekly report that will let us know the weekly progress and results. We used slack to communicate.

They have a lot of experience in Google Adwords. Their team was also patient enough to impose the strategies at the right campaign and at the right time. Also, they were willing to give us extra tips that were beyond the scope that we paid for.

We had some communication issues in the beginning because we were in different time zones. But as we raised this issue to their team, we were immediately provided a solution that quickly solved the issue.
