I’m head of engineering for Geo. We’re a job management software company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Yomicepa?

We needed iOS and Android developers to update old mobile apps.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Yomicepa collaborated with our internal team for backend and web development and updates. They redeveloped the mobile apps, using Objective-C for iOS and Java for Android. Their team also updated our code to address bugs and updated features to increase the functionality of the apps, provided maintenance of them, and worked on a new product.

In the end, they gave us updated documentation for our internal use.

We worked with two people; an iOS developer and an Android developer.

How did you come to work with Yomicepa?

They were referred to us by a mutual contact. We chose them because we were impressed with the quality of their developers, and they offered cheaper pricing.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $161,000 AUD (approximately $121,000 USD) with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from December 2018–April 2021.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They succeeded at finishing tasks within each two-week sprint and the quality testing we performed. We’re happy with their work and would hire them again.

How did Yomicepa perform from a project management standpoint?

They did well with project and account management. Their team joined our standups, and we used Slack, emails, messaging, and Jira for daily communication and progress monitoring.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They had high-quality team members that were highly flexible, worked on the old and new products, and were open to learning new technology for our projects.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.

Engage with them as part of your team rather than a vendor.

After series of interviews with other vendors, decided to go with Yomicepa due to their flexibility, ability to listen, and to understand and adjust ther plan

We outsourced the UX design because they didn't have that solution at the time. I hear they have added it since then
