Solo60 is a network of exclusive micro-gyms and therapy spaces for people and professionals to book solo, with friends or to train and treat clients from 60 minutes. 100% yours, 100% commitment free. We hired YJCollective to craft our new website and produce the second version of our booking app, as the previous agency had done a poor job developing our buggy MVP app. 

YJCollective quickly assigned a senior product consultant as a fractional CPO to assess our product, gather ideas and feedback and elaborate a new strategy. After that, they formed an elastic squad of two product designers and three developers on a flexible contract basis.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• YJCollective delivered a responsive website that follows our branding and helped us with the content 
• YJCollective, through developing our new mobile app, helped us attract more users and, moreover, provide a much better experience, which has increased our user retention, and lifetime value per account

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

YJCollective implemented a lean agile methodology that fits our small team very well. We have regular discovery calls, planning and review sessions so we can provide constant feedback and share our ideas. YJCollective emphasises putting the user at the centre. Therefore, they conducted research and collected input throughout the project. 

In terms of time, the delivery was 3 months later than initially planned. However, this was not their fault, as the project was highly complex. Throughout the process, YJCollective discovered more tech debts and dependencies left by the previous agency.

Are there any areas for improvement or something YJCollective could have done differently?

YJCollective could have maybe done more inspections at the start of the project. However, they tried their best to transition the codebase and work alongside the previous agency, which was unreliable. In retrospect, YJCollective allocated more time and human power to ensure the app would be delivered in the best way possible under all circumstances.
