We plan to develop a mobile app for online booking and create an easy, convenient way for our customers. We started searching and interacting with many service providers or companies, but xicom meets our needs. Our goal is to create a user-friendly interface for online booking.

Initially when we started the business then we started with a website for online booking or for bookings we preferred phone call booking but due to the advancement in technology and customer needs we plan to switch to mobile apps like ola uber. We interact with the xicom through our mutual reference of our family friend. We were very impressed with the roadmap and strategy offered by the xicom. This one is the primary deciding factor.

When we started it was a 4 months deadline to complete the project. We basically plan to develop a user-friendly mobile app by which user can easily book their ride and easy to pay online also. The project manager took this very professionally and handle all the needs and did this project before the deadlines.

There was a team of 4 people including the project manager. We were highly impressed with the on-time response and delivery of the project. Hassle-free process and a good understanding of our requirements.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

When we launch the app in the market initially there is no such response but the feedback comes from the limited audience it was good. As time passes the customer base increases and it converted into good revenue also.

We basically only need a few things including our basic requirement understanding and xicom did it very well. Initially, there was some issue in the communications but with the passive of time there was fit communication between the team and they delivered it before the deadlines.

Usually, we were in hurry to launch the app because already very spend most of our time with the website so we were in hurry to launch our app also. The deadlines and the UI of the app is the major concern of our team, xicom did both aspects beautifully.

Not really in our case it was a smooth experience.

The team had a Project Manager and a set of 2 developers and 2 testers. Not to mention designers and business analysts were also involved during the initial process.

The project is still under development but for now we have started with the registration of the users in order to analyze customer response and feedback.

The Project Manager was excellent and well organized.

We are almost at the competion stage at which point it will be up to us to market it and drive growth. The simplification that the applications have achieved in client test applications is extremely promising.

A single point of contact and he is extremely effective. Especially in the rare instances of an outage outside normal working hours so the support part is great as well

Ease in dealing with them and their honesty in transactions.

The app is still in the infant stage and hasn't been fully launched yet. However, all requirements have been fulfilled by Xicom.

Workflow was flawless and Xicom was extremely easy to work with. There were no issues.

Rishi and his team worked around the clock to make this app become a reality. They were personal and respectful.

Not really, as with any company there is always "sales" involved in seeking further business and additional projects. Xicom is eager to work continuously and make things better than before.

The first app is for our sales reps to use. It helps them track appointments, submit daily sales reports, submit prospecting leads, track mileage, track hours worked, block time off, and more. They are also developing an app for our service providers/operations department to use that allows them to automate the creation/sending over of work orders, results of service visits, photos of ads posted, pulling data back into our database based on their form submissions, etc.

The sales app is 99% complete and working great! They've helped with any bugs or adjustments we've needed. The service provider app is coming along nicely!

They were able to take my project specs and coordinate everything on their end with close precision so that very few tweaks were needed.

Xicom Technologies fixed and completed the plugin in a week. Another company took months and it still didn't work correctly.

Communicating with a language difference can be challenging, but Xicom Technologies is the best partner I've encountered.

They delivered on time, which is difficult to find. They stuck to their bid price on almost every project, and had a good reason for the single exception.

We hired Xicom to upgrade one of our former site's live interactive chat room features. Competitor companies that launched years after we did were gaining ground and we needed to stay ahead by offering more of what our market segment demanded. PHP and Flash were the primary technologies used for these upgrades.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to stabilize our website to allow for further growth and to add features that would stave off losses to competitors.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We selected this vendor from Elance (now called Upwork) due to their listed development specialties matching our needs and customer feedback. When we contacted Xicom, they assured us of their qualifications, support, and committment to the project.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

The project was an ongoing development that lasted several years. Xicom started out by taking a year to debug large components of our site. We were told it would take 3 months.

The new site launched and had bugs of its own, and from that point on we would spend the remainder of our business relationship ironing out bugs while simultaneously launching new features.

We used third party software called Springloops to detail tasks, create mockups, and iron out questions before production and launching each upgrade.

What was the team composition?

The project consisted of a project manager and two or more developers at any given time. The original line-up had Chitvan at the helm as the project manager.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The project launch was a disaster that caused a 30% decline in traffic that we ultimately were unable to regain in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

Other malfunctions such as 25% of users being unable to register an account on our site for months due to a bulk mailing issue, and Xicom's inability to upgrade Flash components of our chat rooms left us cutting business ties as the only viable financial option.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

In the first year of re-development of our site under Chitvan as Project Manager, communication was effective, and although the launch was delayed by 9 months, we had high hopes for our partnership. Once management changed, communication and production qualify dropped.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They were great at marketing themselves to potential customers and had the audacity to request we give them 5-star ratings for each sub-project completed on Elance. Being that they were our sole developers, the requests were a form of coercion than a reflection of reality.

Are there any areas where they can improve?

They could adhere to the basics of honesty, integrity, and high quality standards when dealing with clients.
