Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the COO and Co-Founder of Xayn AG which develops an App for News and Discovery while keeping users privacy with them.

For what projects/services did your company hire Wunderdog, and what were your goals?

Our AI team was not staffed enough for the upcoming challenges in the team and in the company. It is hard to find experienced Rust Engineers in the market, so we we're in touch with Wunderdog if they can help us out as we collaborated well in the past. Fortunately also this time they we're able to offer us Lucas who was a great addition to the team and helped us fill the bottleneck.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Wunderdog offered us the right person at the right time and we are happy to had Lucas in the team and help us moving the product forward.

Lucas joined the AI team directly and implemented features and functionalities right after he got onboarded. He was very integrated in the team and also reviewed the Pull requests and therefore the code of the other team members. During Sprint Plannings and Refinements he contributed well to the details of the implementation and supported also others with his knowledge.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

There was one person that worked for us in this project and in this year. We had previous experience some years ago with one other person from the vendor's team.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We we're able to get the AI up and running faster due to the help of the person from Wunderdog and therefore the product earlier to the market.

The project management was mainly on our own side, but we had regular status meetings and aligned on all details of the collaboration regularly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

It's amazing how they have such a well-fitting solution for our needs that we couldn't find ourselves on the market.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing that comes to my mind right now.

We needed an experienced developer to cover our CTO during a parental leave.

We looked for the most suitable individual candidate (in terms of lead developer skill set) and he happened to work for the chosen vendor.

Ongoing platform development with Ruby on Rails.

A single consultant as the interim CTO.

There were no predefined deliverables, but we managed to continue the platform development as planned.

We used only our internal processes & communication tools.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was impressed by the way they arranged regular meetings. It is with a delivery manager who would ask continuous feedback about the project.
