Saad Iqbal and his team at WPExperts have been a tremendous help to me over the years. I have outsourced several PHP and WP projects to them. They have helped me customize themes and upgrade securities on my client sites, as well as improve functionality and load speeds. They are communicative, professional, responsive, timely, kind, friendly, honest and respectful. I have appreciated getting to know the team and growing a very trusted relationship with them. I can't think of anyone else I would ever want to outsource this work to. I know my projects and clients are always in good hands with them.

I pretty much know what I am after before I ever approach WPExperts. I have already created the designs and worked with clients on their goals for their websites. There are many things I can do with WordPress, but I am limited as a designer and often need back-end developers who can take a theme and customize elements of it to help my clients reach their goals. I provide the approved designs to WPExperts, explain what we are trying to accomplish, then they provide an estimate, which I get approved. They create tests of the work in a staging environment so that I can provide feedback before anything goes live. Then, they work with me on launching those elements to the live site so that I can manage expectations and test the final versions once they go live.

I generally work with Saad or Doaa. They have both been amazing to work with.

We use a platform called Codeable for our communication and credentials vault. Payments are made in an escrow account in Codeable and funds are fully delivered after the project is complete. Everyone is protected, and the projects are professionally managed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Saad truly cares about every project and positive outcomes for each client. I have grown to appreciate him, not only as a professional, but also on a personal level. He's one of the world's most wonderful human beings.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They are perfect in my eyes. I am very pleased.

We found them through a referral of one of our employees and ultimately decided to move forward due to their ability to really understand the scope of our project so quickly.

They developed a very custom WooCommerce plugin based on our design spec and absolutely nailed it. Not only did they complete it much faster than originally expected, but they followed our processes within Github so we could follow along with development.

There were a few people on the core team that worked with us on the implementation questions and a few developers writing the actual code.

We're not only able to meet our deadline for launch of the new product, but with confidence.

We worked together within Slack and Github. They were extremely responsive, even on the weekends.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Direct access to the team. Their level of depth in understanding the scope of the project was impressive. It's very hard to find that, so we'll definitely be working together for a very long time!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

It would have been great to follow along on a per task level, but totally understandable it wasn't quite that way outside of every commit hitting our github.

I’m a director at a technology education company. We offer education programs for engineers and working professionals to improve their skills and increase their career possibilities.

We wanted to go online as part of our growth strategy, so we needed help with web development. We had a WordPress website, and we wanted to make it an end-to-end learning platform. We needed to integrate the site with our backend LMS, which was a white-labeled SaaS platform where we’d upload the lessons, tests, and quizzes.

What was the scope of their involvement?

WPExperts seamlessly integrated the front and backend of our site. Later, we found there was one more piece that we didn’t anticipate initially. It has to do with the e-commerce portion, for when the customer buys a particular course. They’re currently working on that phase of the project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They seamlessly integrated the two systems, and their output has exceeded our expectations. We haven’t officially launched yet, but we’re working towards that. We expect this will help us to scale and grow.

How did WPExperts perform from a project management standpoint?

The timeline took 4–6 weeks longer than what we’d originally planned, but they’ve articulated the requirements well and shown us demos on a frequent basis. We pass the feedback on to them, and they take it to their development team. In general, working remotely has gone smoothly.

We communicate via the Codeable platform, and we use Google Meet on other occasions. We work in different time zones, but they’ve responded on time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They can easily understand complex requirements. In terms of hand-holding, they’re also very good.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could do better with the QA testing. There were some bugs that we would’ve expected them to catch. When we addressed them with strong comments, they took it in a positive manner and ensured us that all the issues would be fixed.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I strongly recommend working with them. I’ve already recommended them to a couple of other companies.

I’m the founder and former CEO of a language learning website. It was recently donated to a university, so I’m no longer running it.

I used WPExperts to build the website from scratch on WordPress, and I continued working with them through the entire time my company existed.

What was the scope of their involvement?

WPExperts were in charge of the design, rollout, and troubleshooting solutions for the site. I came up with its general design and gave the team a blueprint, and they worked to bring it to life. They were also responsible for updating the website throughout its life cycle while working with me on rolling out new features. 

They did everything in terms of coming up with the actual design and making everything flow well from a UX perspective. We also worked with them through the branding process.

What is the team composition?

We worked with at least six people over the course of our relationship with WPExperts. I had a direct line to their main managers and founder. I also spoke with other people in their team, including project managers, programmers, and designers, depending on what was going on with the site.

I found them on Codeable, which is a WordPress freelance website that’s similar to Fiverr. I created the project there, and then different programmers and coders made bids for it. That was how I found WPExperts.

We invested around $25,000 over the course of the website’s life.

We worked with WPExperts from July 2014–January 2015.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The website ran smoothly, and I was extremely pleased with how it looked from a design perspective. It went through several iterations over its life cycle, so the first version we had for a few years looked and functioned differently from the last version. Throughout the process, the WPExperts team was always there to tailor things to my liking and create designs in the exact way that I wanted. 

I didn’t come from a coding or design background, so it was hard to create the site by myself and articulate what I wanted. However, they were adaptable to new changes, and they were always responsive whenever I wanted something to work differently or whenever there was an issue on the site.

How did WPExperts perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management style was good and the process was solid. We already stopped working on the site, but I could always work with them through Codeable. I could always create projects on the platform, and sometimes I’d send messages through it. For the most part, however, I had all of them on call via Skype. They were very accommodating throughout the entire time. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their responsiveness was impressive. On any website, there will always be some moments when you’re not sure of what’s going on. WPExperts was always available and responsive — even in the middle of the night. I’d just send them a message asking for help on something, and they’d respond. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. Everything was par for the course of the business. There never was anything that I considered negligent or poorly done. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They have to have a clear vision of what they want. Providing the most minuscule detail of what your website is going to be and how it will function is going to help the WPExperts team to bring it to life. Be as detail-oriented as possible, especially at the beginning of the project, and make sure you’re guiding WPExperts through it properly.

Some documentation was a little vague, but overall the deliverables were clearly explained.

Whenever we need new features added to the site, they create the functionality for it. They’ve also done work on our NetSuite, where we maintain our product listings. The team also helps us with Pardot system, too.

Recently, they helped us create 3-D versions of our products that we can use in marketing materials and promotions.

Whenever our site has issues, they help us restore it, even on weekends. Everyone’s fully satisfied with their work. They complete everything quite fast and we usually don’t have to request additional changes because their code experts are pretty spot on.

We use Skype to keep in touch as needed. We talk early in the morning because they’re 12 hours ahead. We’re constantly talking about new projects on a daily basis.

As one example, we recently completed the launch of a custom resume builder. The user steps through various screens to input the resume content. What was the scope of their involvement?

We use WP Engine as our private server and web testing solution, exclusively used for WordPress sites. The team does custom themes, custom plugin development, troubleshooting, updating, and more.

I use them exclusively for all my web development projects. The WPExperts team uses the Genesis theme framework platform for WordPress to make child themes and it works better than traditional WordPress Themes. Typically, I arrange their tasks into smaller pieces just to make them easier to manage. 

We have five projects in progress and a few projects already closed days ago. Our web development projects never stop because there are always updates as things evolve.

Someone introduced us to Codeable, a freelancing type of platform exclusively for WordPress developers. When we were first getting started, we assigned different projects to a bunch of providers on the platform. However, over time, we realized that WPExperts seem to be a better choice. There was just less hassle with them and they weren’t picky. They were also not counting every little thing and trying to add everything to our bill.

They always get their job done, according to the specifications and goals we’ve set out. They’ve completed every single task without fail, no matter what I throw at them. I have thrown some oddballs at them over the years, but they always overcome it. They even meet all our deadlines and even come above them. 

They have done everything well despite developing for a wide array of different things. Moreover, WPExperts is willing to do things they’ve never done before. They are capable of researching, figuring out, and accomplishing things without any issues — especially some groundbreaking stuff that no one else has had out there. I’m totally happy with them, and I’ve always given them a perfect rating. I will continue to work with them as long as they continue to provide the current level of service that they offer.

How did WPExperts perform from a project management standpoint?

I communicate with WPExperts through email, Skype, phone, and more. They have excellent communication and they’re more than willing to adjust. Sometimes, I’m the one who holds them up with my lack of communication. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication skills, expertise, and their ability to handle any tasks well have been impressive. They are problem-solvers and get solutions quickly. WPExperts really focuses on customer service and getting their job done. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Sometimes, because they are foreigners, the only thing I will nitpick at — and it’s a minor thing — are misspellings of things such as menu buttons or descriptions of a plugin. However, it's just quick little correction requests which are understandable because they're based in another country — it’s not even worth mentioning. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Describe the project and deliverables well and with as much detail as possible. Perhaps, you can also provide visual aids such as screen captures of your notes — it will probably help. That way, you can ensure that everybody’s on the same page in the very beginning.
