We are a cosmetic surgery centre that help people get the body of their dreams with personalised treatments and and safe, state-of-the-art procedures.

For what projects/services did your company hire Wow Effect Communications?

We contracted Wow Effect Communications to help design our website and also launch our brand in 2016.

What were your goals for this project?

The goals were to create awareness for our brand and the services we render, and also to generate leads that would in turn increase our revenue.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We sourced for top agencies online and the most qualified were invited to bid. Wow Effect’s pitch was excellent and it resonated with what we needed to achieve. They got the deal.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

The project was in two parts; Website development and Branding. Wow Effect developed the website from scratch by gathering information on the purpose and goals of Body Art, as would be projected by the website with the target audience in mind. Content writing was also handled by their agency as well as the designing and page layouts. After testing and launching, Wow Effect handled the maintenance and regular updating of the website for a period of time. For the Branding part of the project, Wow Effect created a unique identity for Body Arts through design, content, ads, and positive promotion of the company’s image to the public.

What was the team composition?

The team who worked on the project comprised of a website developer, a graphic artist, a copywriter, a digital analyst and an editor.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Our main objectives were to create awareness about our new company and to get customers. Within the first 3 months, they were able to generate enough customers to keep our surgeons occupied. They were especially effective in generating business for our botox offering.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

From the moment we signed Wow Effect up, a well detailed project timeline was developed. For each step of the project, there was a stated period with dates. Also, provision was made for when every development would be sent to us for review and approval before they would proceed to the next step. The arrangement was very effective and prevented waste of time.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I found their attention to detail, their adherence to agreements, and timely delivery very impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There may be, but with our project, they did a perfect job and exceeded our expectations.

My company imports specific brands in the timepiece department for retail online. We are the main brand distributor for Nigeria and are involved in selling and improving brand awareness. I am a support officer for the company trying to understand trends and optimize sales.

What challenge were you trying to address with Wow Effect Communications?

Nigeria is a very diverse market, where you have a much bigger desire for mass-marketed wristwatches instead of name brands. We wanted to try to become the go-to brand for wristwatches in Nigeria and needed to reposition our brand to do so.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Their services to us fall into two main categories. The first of those was developing our website and then providing social media optimization, where they try to push our active presence on Instagram and Facebook. Second, they provide physical branding services such as visual banners and effects for our in-store operations to help draw in more sales there as well.

On the social media side, they helped with both creating content and managing PPC and sponsorship management as well. We initially targeted a broad range of audiences with those campaigns, but as time went on and we were able to measure the responses from specific groups, they helped us narrow down our targets to a smaller set of demographics.

What is the team composition?

I worked with four different members of their team, including a project manager who is also the head of their company.

How did you come to work with Wow Effect Communications?

They were referred to me by a friend who had worked with them before. I trusted his experiences and it really paid off.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started around April 2018 and we are continuing to work together.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When we launched the website and promoted it on all of our social media platforms, we saw an immediate boost in the level of engagement from our audience. Since then, we have seen very steady growth over time, which we are very happy with. They operate like a partner rather than a service provider, often going above and beyond to deliver solutions for any kind of problem we might have.

How did Wow Effect Communications perform from a project management standpoint?

The biggest compliment I can give them is on their responsiveness. Their whole team is incredibly quick to address matters, complaints, or issues of any kind. We have incredible peace of mind around all of our marketing efforts because we know that no matter what problem or question arises, it is going to be solved.

For the most part, we communicate by email, phone, and WhatsApp conversations. When there is any communication outside of email, however, there is always a follow-up email from them identifying exactly what we’ve discussed so that we are always on the same page.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their level of responsiveness to us at all times made it clear that they were incredibly committed to our success. We haven’t been overwhelmed at any point throughout the project because they are always there for us. They have been totally on point no matter what challenge we were facing.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We would like to see a little bit of improvement in the output of their graphics for the content that they create for us. The graphics they do are good, but we think there could be a little bit of improvement if they were able to hire another designer to help with those.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My only advice is not to wait to get started. The best time to improve your image is always now.

I’m the Manager at Nordica Fertility Center. We have been in business for 17 years, with over 3,000 babies having been born through the help of our clinic.

We needed a digital agency to take over our campaigns and website design efforts.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Wow Effect Communications designed our website and they continue to manage it. Their team handles all our campaigns on Facebook, Google, and other social media platforms. They also handle advertising efforts for our events and the registration pages for those who wish to attend.

I work with 3 people from their team.

They were recommended to us by one of our agencies. We gave them a 3-month trial and we saw a massive improvement, so we extended the contract.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them in March 2014 and our relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve gained many clients as a result of their marketing campaigns. We currently have 40%–45% of the market share, but our hope and projection is to achieve 60% this year and 90% next year, all with the support of their team.

We have a good working relationship. They’re very responsive, answering us quickly. We communicate through GitHub, phone, email, and chat, all depending on what we’re working on and need to accomplish.

They’re very good at doing what we ask them to do. The content and digital campaigns they’ve created have helped us greatly.

No, there’s nothing to improve.
