**The Review** — Jan 19, 2023

**Feedback Summary**: The client has received positive feedback on the product, and it is ready to launch. The team from WorkingMouse is well-coordinated, organized, and brings a structured approach to creating digital solutions. The client has enjoyed their collaboration and looks forward to their continued engagement.
"“It’s a privilege to work with the team from WorkingMouse.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m an operations manager for a healthcare survey platform; we specialize in patient and doctor feedback for the Australian healthcare industry.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with WorkingMouse?

We currently deliver a range of patient-reported experience measure products to the Australian healthcare market, but we had a gap in what we were providing. We hired WorkingMouse because we needed a digital solution.

We were looking for a digital platform that could deliver patient experience surveys to a range of markets and have the data collected displayed in live interactive dashboards for healthcare organizations. We wanted the data to be used meaningfully to support continuous quality improvement.

An example of this would be after surgery, we could collect feedback from a patient, and in real-time, the practice manager or operations team could look at the anonymous feedback to understand where the gaps were in their service delivery. We were looking to build a product that could capture the consumer's voice and communicate that voice to healthcare organizations.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

When we initially approached WorkingMouse, our brief was quite broad. The product was built from scratch, and we did a scoping workshop to start, where we went through what we had envisioned the product to be and what our needs were. We collaborated on a board with WorkingMouse that pulled all of that information together. At the end of the workshop, we had a quote and a time frame.

The time frame and quote were a little bit more than we had the capacity for, so we changed the scope and came up with something that would work within our time frame. A week later, we started the formal scoping phase and were able to turn the product around in a month.

Our team at CFEP can act as administrators and support our client’s healthcare organizations in-house. Administrators can go into the backend, set up clients, select the appropriate question set, and then work with clients to allocate organization names, uses, and coordinate sites and users.

The product supports multi-leveled organizations, and different departments in a hospital can run various surveys. These surveys can then be compared between departments. The product is just as suited for one general practice as for larger organizations.

It works the same way for corporate organizations with offices in many different places. The head office can access an aggregated dashboard with data from each site and filter it so they can look at their sites individually. Key technologies on the client side of the product included HTML5, CSS3, React, and MobX. On the server-side, the stack included PostgreSQL, C#, and ASP.NET.

WorkingMouse is offering technical support services for our organization, and the product is hosted on AWS. Moving forward, if there are any upgrades to the product we want to make, we make a ticket with them, and they’ll give us a quote. We will then proceed together to make the upgrade.

What is the team composition?

We work with David (Chief Growth Officer), Dean (Product Designer), Thomas (DevOps Developer), Benjamin and John (Software Developers), Eban (Director), and a project manager.

How did you come to work with WorkingMouse?

A while back, we were looking for a developer to audit our existing tech stack, and WorkingMouse was one of the candidates we interviewed. We didn’t proceed with them at the time, but we continued interacting with David. We appreciated the ongoing connection and eventually started working with them on this product. We chose them because they were a high-performing team, passionate, and our values aligned.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in November 2022, and the product was completed a month later. The engagement is ongoing because of the support services and upgrades we’re continuously working on.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The product is going live very soon, and we’ve had excellent feedback so far. The product empowers organizations to work closely with their different branches or departments. It is an excellent solution for those who are looking for real-time data and to interact with the dashboard.

The product is data-driven, which is the most important thing for quality improvement. Organizations that use the product will not only have an excellent experience of receiving and understanding the data, they will also be empowered to apply it meaningfully.

How did WorkingMouse perform from a project management standpoint?

We use GitLab for a ticketing system, and through this shared platform, we can work directly with developers, the UX designer, and the project manager. The support is transparent, and each team member from WorkingMouse is accountable for their part. The solution was delivered on time, and we communicate in person, over the phone, and using email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re great collaborators and have an effective approach to working together. We feel like the experience has been a true co-creation where a team of professionals has gathered together and brought experience and value to the conversation. They have a very structured approach, but are flexible and listen to us.

It’s a privilege to work with the team from WorkingMouse. They are open, adaptive, and have shared an authentic journey with our company as we create solutions. The team is consultative, open, innovative, and a pleasure to work with.

They’re a well-coordinated team who are well-integrated and overall lovely people. We have wonderful synergy and can’t speak highly enough about their work. We feel the value for money has been excellent. WorkingMouse is a key member of our team that enables us digitally, and we look forward to our continued engagement.

**The Review** — Apr 7, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: The client was delighted with WorkingMouse's exceptional work, which transformed the technology they applied to their business. They also met deadlines and handled good communication through Jira. Overall, the team was impressed by the powerful and innovative platform they created.
"''The process was great, and the deliverables were exceptional.''"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the AHS program manager at Hitachi Construction Machinery, a machinery manufacturing company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with WorkingMouse?

We needed help transforming a critical application for mapping and delivering those maps to autonomous trucks.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

My first goal for WorkingMouse was to draft a prototype to understand the technical capabilities and transform a tool from a monolithic, old architecture to a modern one that would help us change the instrument and adapt microservices architecture and eventually deliver the device to the customer.

We first went through understanding the user journey to determine the pain points and understand the customer's voice. We brought some internal customers to deliver their experience and experience with the tool. They discovered the pain points through those interviews and provided good analytics that helped the team understand the direction.

After that, they did the user story mapping; it was beneficial to understand whether the transformation is achievable within the timeline and budget. User story mapping was an excellent exercise to get a clear picture. Working as a team with them was very beneficial. The result was portrayed in the final delivery, which was the prototype with a clear vision.

What is the team composition?

I worked with around five people from their team, including a squad leader, developers, and UX designers.

How did you come to work with WorkingMouse?

I found them in a Google search — I wanted someone who was nearby. We went with them because we were interested in companies that operate in the agile methodology and processes, and they stood out because they were based in Brisbane.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $400,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from September 2021–April 2022.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The first goal was to develop the mine maps faster and deliver faster because production is king — they successfully delivered and exceeded my expectations.

The first month was a bit bumpy, so we had to continuously do some back-and-forth communication to remove this ambiguity. The project velocity went back to normal by February, and we’ve noticed great improvements in the release, the speed, and the number of features.

Also, I can say that it was a great exercise for our company to work with them because we showcased a successful transformation from software that reflected the 1990s technology framework to becoming a completely brand new software. I like to call it a jawbreaker because everyone was amazed by what we had; the process was great, and the deliverables were exceptional.

How did WorkingMouse perform from a project management standpoint?

They meet deadlines, and we used Jira for communication, which was good enough.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Them being in Brisbane makes them stand out. We’re also impressed by the platform — it’s very powerful and innovative.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could communicate better and ensure that their account managers report better. They also need to understand that they work for the customer on a project; I’m very disappointed with the squad leader and the project manager regarding communication.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Ensure you have a clear vision that's well communicated within your organization. Also, make sure there’s a strategic focus and discipline.

IT Project Coordinator, Master Electricians Australia
- Industry: Utilities

- Client size: 11-50 Employees
- Review Type: Phone Interview
- Verified

**The Review** — Mar 10, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: WorkingMouse has been meeting the client's requirements for user feedback, timeline management, and ROI. Their constant communication to solve the process' needs is key to solid project management. The team also praises their commitment to the success of their tasks through their proactiveness and integrity.
""I can’t think of anything that has been a problem for us — they've made many improvements, and we haven’t had any issues.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the IT project coordinator for Master Electricians Australia. We are a membership-based organization providing services to electricians across the country.

We base our services on four pillars; advocacy, technical advice, employment and workplace relations to our members, and safety.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with WorkingMouse?

We needed someone who could develop a platform for us.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

WorkingMouse has developed multiple products for us. One of the platforms we did was a web-based app; it's a portal to view and log into our different systems easily. We set up a single sign-on with several SaaS providers that we use, and users could log in using one set of credentials and access all of the services that Master Electricians offers.

The second build we did with them was a safety platform where members can subscribe to our service, access the system, and use curated safety content as a template to develop their safety system within their business.

In terms of the process, we provide some workflows for some of the systems, and WorkingMouse works around the whole UI/UX and creates mock-ups and wireframes to workshop with us around how we think it might work better for our users — that's their area of expertise, so they do most of that work.

What is the team composition?

In every building process, we've had similar models. We work with two people in the scoping stage, including a senior developer and a senior design person. In the build phase, we have a small team of 2–3 developers, a project manager, and other ad hoc resources according to the process' needs.

How did you come to work with WorkingMouse?

We went to the market and did a closed RFP; we selected a couple of local companies that had done some work in the area. Someone gave us a glowing review of WorkingMouse, so we put them on the shortlist.

We chose them because their model was robust, and we thought that their integrity in terms of sticking to it was good. We also liked their use of Codebots to develop code automatically to make the development process quicker, easier, and cheaper.

How much have you invested in them?

We've spent $300,000–$500,000 AUD (approximately $219,000–$365,000 USD) with them so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

I think it began in October 2019, and it is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They've met our user feedback, timeline management, and money objectives. User feedback is our principal metric, and it has been excellent. The other one is platform utilization, and we've had an increase in the number of members subscribing to our service since we launched the system.

How did WorkingMouse perform from a project management standpoint?

They've been very good with project management processes. We have a great relationship with them, and they don’t hesitate to contact us when they have questions, have any issues, or want clarification. Everyone is aware of where we are at and what is going on.

We use Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence for communication and project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I like how they stick to their model and don’t deviate from that. It is a model that has proven to work for them, which is how they do it. I also like their integrity in cutting expenses throughout the projects rather than just doing what we asked.

In addition to that, they challenge us to think of other ways to solve the problem, which is great because it enables us to have better products. Working Mouse also does a great job helping us to continue delivering improvements with their customer success program.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything that has been a problem for us — they've made many improvements, and we haven’t had any issues.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have an open partnership. Don't go in with preconceived ideas so they can tease out other methods and challenges to get better outcomes.

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there?

I’m the CEO of Moreton Island Adventures. We operate a vehicle and passenger ferry to and from the island. We also have an island store and offer accommodation packages to our guests.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with WorkingMouse?

We couldn't find a booking platform that worked efficiently for our business, so we needed WorkingMouse to develop a custom platform for us.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

WorkingMouse developed our custom booking platform from the ground up, mostly relying on Codebots as they implemented coding solutions. They made the backend customizable, so our team could apply modifications as needed. Upon creating our booking platform, their team offered maintenance and further development services to refine our product before its go-live.

What is the team composition?

I worked with Matt (CEO), Alice (Customer Success Consultant), and more than 10 developers.

How did you come to work with WorkingMouse?

We met WorkingMouse through an acquaintance. We hired them because we immediately felt that they could address our technical needs.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $210,000–$250,000 AUD (approximately $153,000–$182,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

The development project ran from June 2017–September 2018.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our conversion rates went from 60%–95% upon launching our new platform — a significant increase that highly leveraged and revolutionized our business. WorkingMouse had rigorous scoping and coding processes that resulted in an efficient product, which saved us time and money.

How did WorkingMouse perform from a project management perspective?

WorkingMouse communicated seamlessly with our team and managed the project responsibly via Confluence and Jira. We could always rely on their team to test the efficacy of each solution and address our ticket requests in quick turnaround times.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We watched their team grow and change over the years, but their dedication to producing the best results and improving their existing processes remained.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We encountered minor issues at the beginning of the engagement, but WorkingMouse cooperated well with our team to address those.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be as prompt and dedicated as their team if you want to secure the results you need within your desired time frames.

**The Review** — Jul 8, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: Internal and external stakeholders had nothing but good comments about the app. They specifically liked its easy-to-use dashboard and simplistic design and functions. WorkingMouse worked in a collaborative manner and always prioritized the client's needs. They were patient and knowledgeable, too.
""Throughout this project, I felt like an important member of the WorkingMouse development team."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I was the CEO and product owner of a high touch / low cost wellness solution based in Sydney, Australia.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire WorkingMouse, and what were your goals?

We wanted to develop an app with web access as well to provide an intuitive platform for end consumers to build mental agility and resilience via content that is automatically curated to them.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had an existing relationship with Working Mouse.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We held numerous scope meetings to identify ways in how we can address specific customer feedback points and barriers that we had identified. The app had to be made easier to use, simpler onboarding, upgraded visuals that are more on palate with our brand and deliver behavioural insights to clients via a series of dashboards to achieve an MVP.
Working Mouse designed a script of wireframes so we could experience the journey through a user's eyes and steer design decisions as needed. That was later followed with a prototype so we could see the new design and colour palate. Once the final design, costs and scope was agreed the project was delivered using an agile scrum process through Jira.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Working Mouse's CGO was our main relationship contact and support person. From there, the team included: a squad lead, two designers, an app developer and a customer service officer.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The product is only now being rolled out to market so it is too early to comment on outcomes. However, we took our existing clients and pilot program stakeholders through both the prototype and the new app once it was released to production and the feedback was very positive. Clients loved the simplicity and function of the new app, in particular the new dashboards. Previously we had to manually provide clients engagement data, where as now clients could access a whole host of engagement and user input data insights themselves instantly and in real time, and with the ability to export their own reports.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The CGO was my primary contact person and his knowledge and patience was relied heavily on as our team were not of a technological background. He was often the translation bridge between some of the development team members and our company, particularly when design decisions needed to be made and further explanation or guidance was needed in order to make those decisions.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Throughout this project, I felt like an important member of the WorkingMouse development team. The end product that was produced, whilst it was not everything we initially scoped, for the amount of money and time invested the end product was a great outcome and a vast improvement on the previous app version. It also addressed the prioritised customer feedback points which were the main objective.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

At times it was a bit challenging to maintain full clarity across all components of the project. Communications via the Squad Lead could be improved as on several occasions we were not properly informed in advance of changes or a deadline that needed to be adjusted. From a verbal perspective, listening to the customer's feedback and not speaking over them would better enable the squad lead to understand the challenge being faced at the time.

Engineering Manager, APTUS Construction Systems
- Industry: Other industries

- Review Type: Phone Interview

**The Review** — Mar 24, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: WorkingMouse's deliverable has made the in-house team's work extremely efficient and it will soon be available for all customers. The team has excellent project management skills and does a great job of working out exactly what the client wants. They take the time to understand the client's product.
""They’re proactively trying to work out what they can do better and then putting that into place."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the engineering manager for APTUS Construction Systems. We make couplers for the concrete industry.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with WorkingMouse?

We engaged them for the preliminary design of our couplers.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They’re developing software into a streamlined web app that will provide a preliminary design of our couplers so we can get it ready for the market. The team has taken care of all the wireframing and we receive structural drawings from them for the building. Based on how we do things, they proposed the look and feel of the software, so we didn’t have to provide them with anything.

The software allows us to enter all of the geometry of the columns in the building and then that runs through our engineering script to come up with the design that uses our products. Then, the output we get from our software is a detailed column by column breakup of the entire building and a fully-priced option using our products.

We have a support agreement with them as well where they take care of any bugs and make any other improvements. Over the last 12 months, they’ve complete about six production releases.

What is the team composition?

We work with a scrum master, an account manager, a graphic designer, one main coder, and about three other coders.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began the scope in December 2019 and the relationship is still ongoing. We had the first production release around March 2020 and there has been a continuous improvement over the last 12 months.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our in-house team has seen major improvements in the efficiency of putting together quotes. We’ve just gotten to the point where we have our first external customer that has been using the web app. Soon, all customers will be able to start using the web app and doing their own quotes.

How did WorkingMouse perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re absolutely excellent at project management in terms of plotting out the scope and hitting targets and deadlines. They do an extremely great job of working out exactly what we want into development tickets and iterations. Then, we have a meeting where they demonstrate the software showing the tickets completed.

What did you find most impressive about them?

One of the best parts about working with WorkingMouse so far is that they take time to understand our product, how we use it, and our existing processes. The quality of the personnel and the personal relationships I have with everyone on the team is great. They’re very approachable and are easy to work with right across from the account managers to the project managers. I also really love that they ask how they can improve. They’re proactively trying to work out what they can do better and then putting that into place.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It gets a little complex with have multiple people supporting us because there are a lot of moving parts. I would really like to just have one supportive person.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be extremely engaged in the scoping process and be proactive on the user acceptance testing as the product develops, making sure it is doing what you want it to do. Get into beta testing heavily while you still have the product team fully engaged and working on your project. The first time around, I wasn’t really aware of the importance of testing and there were things I wasn’t happy with that could have been avoided if I had just tested.

**Feedback Summary**: The completed solution received widespread positive feedback, with 100% of users finding the application easy to use. WorkingMouse managed both in-person and remote interactions professionally and smoothly, providing regular updates about the workflow and its progress.
"“It’s had 100% satisfaction—everyone said that it was a very easy application to use.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

Sales Payment Solutions makes it easier for companies to do business with each other by providing a new payment option for customers. I’m the founder of the company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with WorkingMouse?

I had the opportunity to bring on a substantial client, which required building a software solution on a short timeframe. In the longer term, that solution would enable me to grow the business.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

The initial process started with scoping my requirements and understanding the timeframe. The software itself was basic in terms of usability and functionality, relative to WorkingMouse’s other projects. One of our requirements was to incorporate five different pricing models. The client wouldn’t be able to see those, but, depending on what they were selecting, they would be directed to the right pricing model.

Another key requirement was setting up an efficient internal process. Once an application got to a certain stage, I could automatically redirect it to a third-party provider on the backend, without adding another layer of processing on my side.
The previous version was a web-based portal. They developed the new one as a Software-as-a-Service solution, which will enable me to white-label it in the future quite easily.

What is the team composition?

I was in contact with a project manager and the head of development. I also worked with a layout and functionality designer, and with a developer.

How did you come to work with WorkingMouse?

I was talking to one of their investors about a different matter and mentioned that I was considering building an app. That person put me in touch with them and I was impressed with their capabilities and previous work. They were able to complete the project in three weeks, compared to the five-to-nine-month estimate I was given by other providers.

How much have you invested with them?

The approximate cost of the project was AU$20,000 [$15,000 USD]. Given that the project was relatively simple, I was given a good price.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with them in December 2016. The project was completed in January 2017, and they actually delivered a week ahead.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’ve used customer feedback to gauge the success of the project. It’s had 100% satisfaction—everyone said that it was a very easy application to use. The third-party providers I’ve used have mentioned the positive feedback they’ve received, which again, has been 100% satisfaction.

How did WorkingMouse perform from a project management standpoint?

I’ve worked with similar businesses to WorkingMouse before and they’re the best I’ve dealt with. Most of our interactions were done in-person and the rest through phone and email. I was given access to their project management platform, where I could see regular updates on the progress of the work.

I didn’t expected the project to go as well as it did, especially that the app would be tested and delivered a week before I needed it. My client was surprised by their performance.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They brought in their internal stakeholders during the scoping phase, which was unlike the other companies I’d dealt with. Previously, I would deal with a salesperson. Their process gave me a lot of trust and confidence in them as a business, as well as in their capabilities. They wanted to get it right the first time, which was comforting for me, given that there were time constraints and costs to consider. I knew that they were going to produce what I wanted the first time.

The initial process was enjoyable and educational. Based on their input and experience, I was able to come up with a far better product than what I was expecting. I also appreciated the transparency around the development process—they kept me informed about possible challenges.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Based on my experience with other web development companies, they’re 50% above everyone else. They’ve delivered what I wanted and more. Everyone can improve, but I couldn’t ask for more from them, given my expectations.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I recommend listening to their advice and engaging in their process. They’re a trustworthy team.

**Feedback Summary**: WorkingMouse’s transparent and clear workflow made them incredibly easy to work with. If they couldn’t solve a problem, they were honest about the limitations. Although the final product was quite delayed, the team didn’t charge for the extra time.
"“I appreciated their attitude. WorkingMouse was able to resolve any unexpected issues while remaining positive.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a project manager for a communications, engagement, and training consultancy. One of my responsibilities is to manage an internal startup—an online evaluation tool for stakeholders and engagement professionals that allows them to evaluate their work with community members.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with WorkingMouse?
We went through an initial development phase and knew what the product needed to look like; we just needed someone with the expertise to code it.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?
WorkingMouse translated our aesthetic and functionality requirements into a product we could take to market. We had in-depth phone conversations, agreed to a collaboration, and started a two-day scoping workshop to define what we wanted to do at a granular level.
They used a proprietary platform called Codebots for some of the work, which made the process quite fast. We divided the overall project into one-week sprints, each focusing on a particular product component. WorkingMouse put everything together and presented the latest version at the end of each week. They did a bit of design work, too, but a previous developer had completed most of it already.
What is the team composition?
We had a case manager and a project lead who had a team of developers. We spoke weekly with the entire team, but we mainly communicated with the project lead.
How did you come to work with WorkingMouse?
My managing director and another member of our team met a WorkingMouse employee at a networking event. We were impressed with them and looked at the whitepaper description on their website. We liked that their approach was to organize scoping workshops and divide projects into sprints. The cost of the MVP was also made clear, which was important. We contacted WorkingMouse and ultimately went with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with WorkingMouse in August 2017, and we went live in February 2018.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve only been live for two weeks, so I don’t have any metrics. Some clients are currently testing the MVP.
How did WorkingMouse perform from a project management standpoint?
We used an Atlassian product for task tracking. Our different locations made in-person meetings difficult, but I did visit them for a two-day scoping session. Whenever I was in town, I organized meetings, but we mainly communicated by sharing screens and collaborating remotely.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I appreciated their attitude. WorkingMouse was able to resolve any unexpected issues while remaining positive.
I’m not an expert in coding, but WorkingMouse is capable of dealing with non-technical clients. They’re able to translate domain-specific information for people with basic knowledge. We had some unprecedented issues, but the team was happy to solve them. If unable to, they were honest and told us what could be done within our existing scope.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They went over the deadline, but we had a fixed-price contract, so it didn’t cost us extra. We’d promised clients that the platform would be ready before it was, but our original timeline was quite tight, so we were happy when they finished.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
I’d highly recommend them because of their transparent process. Everything is clear, upfront, and well-documented, which is important.

### Hitachi CMA Map Authoring Tool
A mapping tool to create the pathways for Hitachi’s autonomous dumping trucks.
Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia engaged WorkingMouse with the aim of re-designing the interface of their existing Map Authoring Tool — an essential element of their Autonomous Haulage System.
The initial goal was to draft a prototype to understand the technical capabilities and transform the existing tool from a monolithic, old architecture to a modern one that would help us change the instrument and adapt to a microservices architecture and eventually deliver the device to the customer.
User journey mapping was performed to determine the pain points and understand the customer’s voice. Internal customers were interviewed to uncover their experiences and insights. Analytics from these sessions helped the team understand the path forward.
WorkingMouse proposed the development of a cloud application to replace the existing C# and C++ desktop applications. The platform would provide a way for users to import, edit and export map data files that aid in keeping the Autonomous Operation Zones up to date with the ever-changing mine site environment.
User story mapping was an excellent exercise to get a clear picture and determine whether the transformation was achievable within the timeline and budget. The result was portrayed in the scope delivery, which was the prototype with a clear vision.
The Solution
During development, WorkingMouse has relied on Hitachi’s algorithm expertise for calculating complex paths and ensuring feature parody with the existing system. Working together with Hitachi developers to build and deliver the Proof of Concept in April 2022, allowed the project to progress past the initial milestone and work towards the release of the MVP.

### MEA ME Hub Web Application
A centralised Hub for organisations to track safety practices
ME Hub is a safety platform where MEA members can access the system and use curated safety content as a template to develop their own safety system within their business.
The aim was to design a middleware platform that would make it easier for their users to access SWMS (Safe Work Method Statement) and other resources they have across three platforms (WordPress, Integrum and Memnet).
The much-anticipated hub will eventually replace all three of these platforms and make it possible for MEA to administrate the member’s area in a more intuitive way.
WorkingMouses’ goal was to find the most valuable part of the MEA system to build for an MVP.
As such, WorkingMouse focused on delivering a clean portal interface that will shortcut users to the asset they require. It will reduce the time they must spend on these external applications. The hub served as a foundation for future work.
The Solution
We have devised a solution that involves customising our existing forms’ behaviour so that it can viably replace Integrum. MEA Admins can create forms and templates which are then allocated to members.
Members themselves not only benefit from improved UX, but they also gain additional functionality in regards to their profiles. Workers and managers can now populate their profiles with licences and competencies.
These details are used in the skills matrix to connect specialists together. All new functionality is supported by notifications which keep users up-to-date on activities and tasks within the application.

### Aptus Design System
WorkingMouse scoped out a solution which merged the existing 3 part process (comprising of 3 very large Excel spreadsheets and offline communication with an engineer) into a seamless design experience. In order for the business to scale, Aptus had to create a scalable solution that could be used by not only other stakeholders within the business but also by external organisations.

### Moreton Island Adventures Booking Platform
MIA’s business operations, especially those relating to the MICAT (the ferry service), were being managed using outdated and outgrown technologies that were impacting MIA’s ability to operate efficiently. The problem statement was centred around how WorkingMouse could improve the efficiency and user experience of the booking process through a web application. At the core of the project, we wanted to create a product that would encourage self service rather than the old manual process of picking up the phone and calling the MIA staff.

### Kindred Property Group
The Customer Property Portal (CPP) we developed captured enquiries from all property platforms, recorded them in Kindred’s CRM and sent each customer an email/SMS response within 25 seconds with a unique link on the status of their enquiry. Kindred could control the status of the query via a separate user group and send back a response.
Overwhelmingly 87% of users engaged with their CPP link to see the status of their enquiry and its details. This validated the initial assumption and unlocked the team to continue further scoping of the system.
The most prominent benefit was the integration of WebSockets that allows the Kindred team to respond with realtime chat, document upload and other features like timed reminders. From March 2020 to August 2020, over 15,000 responses to enquiries have now been sent with a reply rate of 100%.

### TickerCardiology Web Platform
CardioNexus provides end to end diagnostic cardiac services. The TickerCardiology application was built to allow their team, as well as other Cardiologists in Australia access to instant review and reporting of diagnostic cardiology studies.
The new application provides a portal for doctors and cardiac scientists from different cardiology clinics to view their patients and studies which require reporting. The portal is focused on two key cardiology studies, being Echo studies and Holter studies. Confirmed reports can then be sent to the referring doctor via secure messaging.
Beyond the primary use of the application, there is a significant amount of configuration available for administrators and super administrators. This is critical for approving and restricting access to different stakeholders.
By adding additional features like secure messaging, it’s meant a better product for current users. Rather than users previously having three or four processes to distribute reports back to their referring doctors, they are now able to do it with one click within the ticker application.

### SuzzanneStays Accommodation Portal
The core components of SuzanneStays is creating an initial interest for holidaying - achieved through the build a holiday wizard. The booking wizard stages users through the process of selecting their holiday dates, configuring the room setup and paying for the holiday. Users can then see their upcoming trips and are reminded through emails.
SuzanneStays is predicated on two sides of the market coming together; people looking for accessible accomodation and people able to provide that accomodation. To tailor to two sides of the market, we created two portals. This second portal stages property owners through the process of taking their current property, assessing whether any changes are required to make it accessible, facilitating those changes and finally, listing their property on SuzanneStays.
Knowing the product owners as well as the problem SuzanneStays seeks to address, we are delighted to see the result of the entire team’s hard work coming to fruition. We will be with them at every stage of the journey.

### Your Health Plus
An App that Helps Build and Maintain Wellness.
The YourHealth+ is a cross-platform IOS, Android mobile and Web Desktop App that connects business employees with healthcare professionals to help provide them with better care on their wellbeing journeys.
YourHealth+ Web and Mobile Apps Features and Functionality
The system allows clinicians to gain insights, assign relevant content to their patients and permit site admins to adjust content to match their business style.
The tool enables users to check their mental/physical health journey and track towards a more favourable result. This is through a cross-platform IOS and Android App. The App is privately deployed for the Allied health service and users are privately invited to the App.
Users are supported along their journey by being connected to a healthcare professional. The Allied health clinician is able to see their patient’s user journey’s daily moods and engagement through the Web App.
The solution is deployed on a per-site basis with each site having its own database and admin users. This keeps the end-user data separate and also enable each allied health organisation to input their own custom content.
The key features included are:

Multi-instance Site setup and deployment to Amazon Web Services. This gives each Allied health organisation security in their user data and the ability to deploy their own custom content.
React Native Hybrid Application IOS and Android App for End Users.
#C & React Deskstop Web App for Clinicians and Administrators.

### UniLodge Resident Services App
With a large wish list of requirements, a lengthy scope process was required to unpack and understand both the problems to be resolved and the opportunities that were on offer. Following an 8 week process, a holistic solution driving value for both UniLodge corporate users as well as residents was agreed upon.
For management users, a Corporate Portal was created allowing administrators to add new properties and property managers to the App, collect feedback data, logs and analytics from each properties’ resident activity.
For property managers, a Property Management Portal was developed to create, post and manage property events, social communications and event bookings. Integration with UniLodge’s website and Facebook account was also undertaken.
For residents, the UniLodge team wanted to offer the ability to access information via a dedicated app so a mobile Student App was built in IOS and Android. Presented information was leveraged from the property management portal and residents were able to view, book and manage their events.

### Department of Defence Procurement Platform
The Department of Defence is one the largest Government agencies in Australia. WorkingMouse helped improve visibility across their procurement spending by consolidating a number of disparate systems into a centralised application.

How might we improve transparency across procurement?
To facilitate NMP purchasing, Defence has established, or through Shared Services have acquired, a number of systems. These specific ‘systems’ are utilised by individual Directorates and accessed by staff within the Directorates to record and manage their workloads. The primary issue is that these systems are disparate which means there is no centralised reporting or management. The original problem statement was to improve visibility of procurements and workflow processes for Defence staff and ultimately greater reporting capability for all Defence Services.

Delivering a Successful Proof of Concept
The initial operating capability (IOC) was designed to assess the business case and whether Defence would derive enough benefit from consolidating the disparate systems.
By using Codebots , the Business analyst was able to take the Codebot formatted design specification and run it through the bot. In less than 1 hour all the necessary code for the 3rd project type was generated and ready to test. The IOC date was easily met.

Multiple Web Applications Simplifying Workflows
The scope of the project expanded to also include material procurement tracking. As a result, all procurement performed by the Department of Defence has been migrated and consolidated into a single cloud application built by WorkingMouse.
The Defence sponsor for the procurement migration project received the CASG commercial centre of expertise award for procurement innovation. Our engagement with the Department of Defence began in mid-2016 and is still continuing.

### MyLeap Learning Portal
Creating real behavioural change with learning and development
MyLeap is a learning and development platform focused on cultivating real behavioural change. MyLeap recognises that a business transformation isn’t just about technology. There must be a strong focus on the people that drive the change.
How do we drive real behavioural change?
The current market does not have a tool that drives behavioural change. Learning management systems are based on consuming content and answering questions. Learning is performed and lost without having any real impact on the organisation. The problem statement was addressed during a two week scope, with six weeks of development required to solve the initial problem.
Assess and upskill
MyLeap adopted a fixed time, variable scope approach to the project. This meant prioritising the backlog in order to meet a hard deadline. The application needed to be up and running in six weeks to be showcased during a number of keynote presentations. WorkingMouse delivered the project on time and on budget. After the success of the first engagement, MyLeap returned for further development with WorkingMouse. This second engagement focused on optimising the existing system for beta users.
The MyLeap Learning Portal
From an organisational perspective, HR have an overview of how employees are interacting with their learning focus. This brings a level of visibility across an organisation and how they are investing in their staff. It also maps out a staff members learning journey should there be an opportunity for a promotion.

### NSW Police Legacy Migration
We approached Police NSW's legacy problem by migrating the 7 databases into a central entity diagram using the firecracker migration pathway. In doing so we were able to simplify the 7 different systems down to 1 new modern web based application. The application created is now a modern .Net Core (C#) server side with a React client side. The application is in line with Police NSW’s modern IT skill set making it easier to run and support. They are now able to host in their on premise environment securely. In addition to the migration the project team were able to add on several useful behaviours and functionality. The team added the following: 1. Active Directory integration for auto login 2. API to internal Oracle DB to automatically input the new daily data saving a significant amount of time. 3. Customer Reports. 4. CRUD behaviour for all entities 5. Restful JSON API Overall, the team were happy that the new system met all technical requirements from the IT side but also covered all of the original functionality from the old system.

### Gevity Web & Mobile Application
Gevity centralises data from fitness and medical devices; manages tailored health plans; tracks your progress; and provides a new level of insight and control of your health. Gevity is the parent application, with a number of different versions available based on the area of health.
The Gevity health monitoring app empowers people with the knowledge, tools, and technology to enjoy healthier, longer lives.
Gevity centralises data from fitness and medical devices; manages tailored health plans; tracks your progress; and provides a new level of insight and control of your health. These features are achieved through fast loading, easy to use dashboards, tables, and notification feeds.
If desired, Gevity shares your health data to nominated clinicians, caregivers, and family members. This enables better disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring.

### Daltrey Biometric Security
Daltrey currently has 3 encompassing components — a web application, the native Android app and the Dot Matching Engine. These three components work together to allow the administration of users and consumption of user identities by third parties. All users are given customised onboarding that matches their risk level, security requirements and brand.
The creation of DaltreyID meant users could securely store their information without digging around for forgotten passwords or PINs. Those with a DaltreyID represent all the digital assets with just a fingerprint, face, voice or iris. They can then can turn off any access point of an authentication gate themselves without the inconvenience of cards, computers or passwords.
WorkingMouse has subsequently helped Daltrey onboard their own development team to continue building the product and growing the company internally.

### Sentire’s Geolocation Technology
Race safely with Sentire’s geolocation technology
Sentire is a comprehensive motor racing intelligence, lighting and control system. Installed and controlling 18 tracks in New Zealand, Australia and the Northern Hemisphere.
Sentire was developed using an Agile approach because it was recognised early on that there was tremendous opportunity to make learnings along the way that would improve the experience of using the app for its users.
Sentire had a very specific budget to build their MVP. To achieve this, we set a fix development time and varied the scope to ensure we achieve every must-have requirement.
Sentire is a multi-platform application for Android and web. The app provides detailed driving statistics for drivers and race track crew members. These are being used to improve driver’s safety and their experience when racing. The app uses a parent-child configuration, multiple plugins, mobile app, track web portal, web socket server, and external API pushing events into the system.
“The feature that delivers the most value for our users is GPS and geofencing so that we can delineate safe areas”
— Peter Dodds, Senior Developer, Sentire

### Transport & Main Roads Legacy Migration
Excel migration to a modern web application for a Government system
In 2019, the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) commenced a proof of concept with WorkingMouse to determine the value associated with their unique migration methods in conjunction with the Codebots technology.
In 2019, the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) commenced a proof of concept with WorkingMouse to determine the value associated with their unique migration methods in conjunction with the Codebots technology.
TMR’s goal is to progress their digital transformation by modernising an accreditation scheme from an offline Excel system to a cloud-based, full-stack application with OpenAPI specification documentation.
In order to align with the Department’s expertise, WorkingMouse delivered the application using a Spring server-side and Angular client-side.
WorkingMouse created a modern, microservice-ready application deployed into AWS cloud. The initial proof of concept was delivered in 4 weeks with a further 8 weeks planned to have it ready for production. The application has a CRUD User Interface, data migration capabilities, advanced governance controls, and full API documentation.
The project was part of the Department’s broader digital transformation strategy with a view to connecting to both upstream and downstream systems, allowing for reporting and ease of dissemination of information.
As the application was modelled, the Department now has an extensible solution that can grow with their requirements, for example to support other managed accreditation schemes. Business operations change so it’s crucial that the technology that supports them can change too.
