I have worked with Irene since 2017.  She has created and revamped my Website over the years.  She is very professional and honest to deal with.  She works remotely from Arizona and can handle work throughout the country.  She does in-person work as well when she is in the area.   I have received a multitude of compliments on my website from the inception of Irene creating it for us.

We’re sorry this project did not meet expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity to provide additional context.

This project involved an existing website with substantial legacy content, media, and specific requirements regarding how that content needed to be maintained and presented. As we worked through the site, we discovered significant technical and performance issues, including numerous images that were extremely large in both file size and dimensions. These affected site performance and made development within WordPress and Divi considerably more time-consuming.

We recommended resizing, compressing, and properly optimizing the images, along with additional performance cleanup. We also recommended approaches that would have allowed portions of the website to be rebuilt more efficiently. However, the client had strict requirements for retaining certain existing content, images, and layouts. Meeting those requirements while also achieving the requested design and performance goals required significantly more manual development than anticipated and could not reasonably be accomplished within the original budget.

We acknowledge that we underestimated the scope when initially quoting the project. Had the full extent of the legacy website issues and required manual work been apparent at the beginning, the project would have been scoped and priced differently.

We also respectfully disagree that our work consisted only of installing a theme and navigation. Considerable time was spent evaluating, rebuilding, troubleshooting, and attempting to accommodate the client’s requirements within the agreed budget.

We understand the client's frustration regarding the timeline and acknowledge that the technical and scope issues should have been identified sooner. However, continuing indefinitely while absorbing development hours substantially beyond the original agreement was not sustainable.

Rather than compromise the quality of the work or continue under unrealistic constraints, we made the difficult decision to discontinue development and properly transition the website back to the client so another developer can continue the project.
