Wisdmlabs facilitated a seamless migration from Uscreen to WooCommerce, successfully transitioning 450 active subscribers and 1,000 one-time purchase customers. They managed the setup of new invoicing in Stripe for all current subscribers, ensuring the only action required from members was resetting their passwords. Additionally, they collaborated with us to customize and brand all default emails sent to customers through WooCommerce.

Members are successfully logging in and accessing all their content without any issues. Nearly all recurring subscriptions are being billed accurately and processed successfully, with only a few defaulting to previous payment settings.

Plugin updates have been performed in a regular and consistent fashion. Prior issues with some subscriptions not processing properly have been addressed. Google "Core Web Vitals" page speed scores have been improved from failing to passing grades.

The LMS is almost ready to launch and was only delayed to changes in scope requirements from my company but the WisdmLabs guys met and exceeded most of our expectations.

We started with email communications and they invited me to their Basecamp account. They were also courteous enough to agree on communicating through ClickUp (my team's preferred Task and Project Management tool). Timelines were flexible due to the scope changes from our end as the Client.

They kept on providing my team and me with great service even when we went a different direction when we opted to NOT use their eLumine Theme.

Most of the challenges we encountered were NOT specific to WisdmLabs as an agency but more on the tools being used. E.g. WordPress and others.

It was a hassle-free pleasure working with WisdmLabs. They were thorough, professional, insightful, and timely. Additionally, their project costs were very reasonable, and they were flexible with mid-stream changes in project scope. They are at the top of my "call" list when I need custom plugin work performed. I'm truly impressed with their deliverables and their customer service.

They contributed their insights to our own project definition to create a better overall outcome. We provided the project requirements and they offered multiple options to accomplish the goal. By using the Basecamp platform, everyone stayed in-the-know and up-to-date throughout the project.

It was a straightforward, thorough, and well-defined project. It was not a "nickel and dime" experience-- everything was straightforward and priced affordably/reasonably. We felt like it was a team effort and never an "us versus them" environment. The WisdmLabs team seamlessly integrated with our work flow and became an extension of our own production efforts, rather than just "being a vendor".

I wouldn't change a thing. They have a good chemistry and a very efficient process.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

This was the worst experience I've had working with a web development company. I've had some shocking experiences with developers. Literally, everything they did broke, and then they just stopped communicating when it was the most important time for us. Just left us in the cold and utterly hopeless at what they do.

Timelines are non-existent. They never keep to them they always say I will have that done in 24 hours and you might get it in two weeks. I'm still waiting almost a month now for an update on the new build. The whole thing is just a joke. I am taking

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their ability to make the most simple of tasks that I could complete in about a minute claimed it takes 20 minutes and tried to charge accordingly. I ended up doing the entire project for them in about two hours. They shouldn't even be in charge of a toaster.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Literally sack everybody who is involved in any of my projects and have a long hard look at the type of people you hire and the claims you make.

As an organization, one of WisdmLabs’ core values is "Relationships above everything else". We are pained to see this review from Dr.Shaw. 

Dr.Shaw came to us in July 2021 and initially signed us on for a 25 hour block for a project in Aug 2021. He liked the work we did for him. Post that, he bought a further block of 250 hours in Nov 2021 for a store rebuild.

When we started to work with him, we understood that he was a busy individual. He consistently missed scheduled calls, used inappropriate language, did not communicate well (he would not reply to the person who wrote to him, but someone else), and reply after months to our messages. But we worked around all that, to ensure he could continue running his business; at the cost of our own developers’ time. He even refused to use BaseCamp.

He gave us his requirements for the store revamp after making us wait for 8 months.  While waiting for details on the store revamp, we worked on other small requirements. His store was also extremely customized and not built according to WordPress coding standards, which made any work on it very time consuming.

As a client, Dr.Shaw is unsure of what he needs, and does not have the time to tell us about what he is sure he needs. And for what we did build, he did not test it. He came back to us after months, reporting bugs or requesting further changes to the original build.
Despite all the chaos, we have tried our best to serve Dr.Shaw; and that should speak of our will to live up to our core value "Relationships above everything else".

We produce a large number of educational videos. Managing them in our online learning platform is challenging. We hired Wisdmlabs to develop custom software to streamline and automate much of our video management processes.

We found Wisdmlabs after an extensive online search. We did a small project last year. This, plus our overall impression of the people in the company contributed towards deciding to work with Wisdmlabs in a larger project.

The main components of the project are Wordpress and Learndash. We also build on prior work done inhouse where code was written in Ruby. The project is broken into small steps, with limited deliverables. We continue to the next step once deliverables of the previous steps are tested and cleared.

Around four people, including programming and management staff.

So far the project is progressing well. We are about to start using the current version of the custom software in production.

Communication between Wisdmlabs and me is very good. They keep me up-to-date, and provide information on progress, obstacles, and solutions. Also important is that they provide a current balance of my account.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their attention to detail is commendable. They spent a lot of time upfront to understand what I need, devise a plan, but are flexible enough to adjust as needed. The deliverable code usually works on the first try.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I would appreciate a shared code repository on a service like Github, so I can track code, keep track of history (revisions), and also use its tools for bug reports and general project management. I think that since we are working on code, Github is probably a better tool than Basecamp.

We run international conferences for the Automotive engineering community. Our conferences are most loved by the level of the high level content within the presentations, the great line up of exhibitors showcasing their latest technologies and we kept the audience size just right to provide meaningful networking opportunities. I am the Systems/IT manager, responsible for the IT hardware we use in-house and the ones we use to run our conferences. I also evaluate, deploy and manage systems that can make everyone's work-life easier and more productive.

Over 5 years, AutoSens have become a very successful event. People would attend from all over the world to keep to date with the technologies, learn new things, share experiences and meet potential clients. How do we keep this success going after COVID? The challenge of pivoting to deliver it online brought us to work with WisdmLabs.

We are in the process of developing not only a website, but a full conference management tool that allows us to not only reproduce some of the aspects of a conference but to also add features that are quite unique and advantageous of an online event.

How did you select WisdmLabs and what were the deciding factors?

When looking for a developer specialized in LearnDash, we came across WisdmLabs. The effort to really understand or challenges and reassure us that what we needed to be developed was possible within the smallest of the time frames, it was an excellent first impression.

Our business manager was extremely knowledgeable, it was very refreshing to not have the sales approach at that point. We needed guidance and reassurance. And that is what we had.

We are developing in WordPress. There is a very complex suite of features being integrated and some developed from scratch. We wanted our website to be build with a community feature as its core. So we used BuddyBoss template and plugin and built from there.

We also have a multi-faceted WooCommerce in place, selling in multi-currency and with a complex VAT system. We also use WooCommerce to manage the user access via their membership and subscription tools. We use LearnDash to deliver our newly launched online training program. That in conjunction with BuddyBoss still provides the very important community core. T

he next biggest challenge is to be able to offer real-time analytics. Our sponsors can benefit from leads nurturing and have a more meaningful networking experience whilst online. We can offer the most appropriate and relevant content to our audience based on their behaviour.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Everyone that experiences our conference website is always very impressed with what they see. Throughout the whole 2020 year, we all have attended dozen online events so to be named as the best tool some of them used it was just what we aimed for. We are the best in-person event to that community, so working hard to replicate that online was amazing.

The new website is amazingly fast, despite the complexity of the setup. It looks modern. The user journey is very streamlined adding immensely to the user experience. Based on this success, we are planning to launch online conference management as a new product to other companies that like us had suffered the impact of this pandemic.

And that is only possible because of the results of working with many talented people and developers but most important, the results of working with WisdmLabs team.

We are using basecamp to manage our current projects. It is a great tool that I personally got to love. You can easily manage everything from within that dashboard.

I can share my input on a daily basis as an active participant in the project. I can schedule tasks on the go, remove the nonrelevant ones as the project evolves. No huge email chains. It is all right there in the correct places and tabs.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

How knowledgeable everyone is and how much serious the job is taken. Nothing is too hard. All is done the correct way, no dirty coding, no messing up with the website structure. Everything is done as it should.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

All that should have been done differently is from our side really, to be very clear of what needs to be done from the beginning so we won't need too many changes after the work is done. But I learned that pretty quickly so we got that adjusted.

I work for a nonprofit that seeks to inspire wonder in science among the general public. We have a festival every year and ongoing education programs throughout the year. I’m the multimedia production coordinator within the education department, most closely focused on a scholars program.

What challenge were you trying to address with WisdmLabs?

They were hired to develop the online platform that our company would use to facilitate the scholars program. We were hoping to expose children with exceptional talent in mathematics to content not normally taught in secondary schools. This is in hopes that they consider applying their skills to make an impact on world mysteries and challenges.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed the entire platform from scratch in order for us to launch the program. I joined after the site had launched, but they’ve been pivotal in helping me address bug fixes and solving problems within the platform on an ongoing basis. They’ve also further developed the site, accomodating additional customizations desired by our organization. 

The final platform was built in WordPress but allows for plug-ins to accommodate both synchronous and asynchronous learning. The platform itself is closed, so we’re able to create and assign accounts to participants. They delivered chat and watchlist features, which their team recommended after conducting research in the area. 

Recently, we relaunched another public website with their help as well. That platform offers a registration portal and the ability for prospective participants to explore courses with limited access.

We’ve been working with them since March 2018, when the scholars program launched.

When the public site crashed due to a mistake on our end, they responded to our email within an hour to immediately get the site back up and running. They’re located in India, so I was very impressed with the response time. 

The new platform has been complimented by users who have experience with the older platform. They’ve praised the site for its nice look and feel. 

How did WisdmLabs perform from a project management standpoint?

The project manager is especially responsive and accommodating to our schedule and time zone. When we request to meet with them on a specific day, they’re almost always able to make that work.

We can always count on them to deliver according to our deadlines. Our teams have organized a system of communication urgency through email subject lines. If we need something addressed immediately, they truly do handle it as quickly as possible. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re knowledgeable WordPress developers with a strong understanding of trends in the space. We rely on them to inform us about what others are doing and recommend plug-ins that may be helpful.

With their help, we found a plug-in to facilitate our chat feature. We’re pleased with their ability to scout new plug-ins for features on an ad hoc basis.

When I run QA on their work, there are sometimes small errors that I’m surprised they didn’t catch themselves. However, this happens with many development projects. That’s why its important to have many eyes on a product before it goes live. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Their strong suit is their development skills. The time difference does affect how quickly some changes can be implemented. However, they will react immediately to urgent requests. They’ve scaled their team to accommodate us as well.
