WhizzBridge took our old platform and underlying databases and migrated everything into a new system. They modernized the entire platform, giving it a fresh, updated look and feel, and significantly improved the user experience—especially the shopping experience for our users. The work included rebuilding the platform, fixing legacy issues, and making it easier for both our staff and users to interact with the system.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Most of our orders are now going through the new platform, which is exactly what we wanted to see. Internally, it has made our staff’s work much easier, especially since tasks that previously required backend changes can now be handled directly on the front end. Additionally, we’ve received strong positive feedback from users who find the platform easier to use and visually much better than before.

At the start of the project, we were meeting a couple of times each week to go through requirements, issues, and feedback. Then weekly scrums after implementation, with frequent communication via email and Slack. They provided quick responses and typically resolved issues within about a week.

What stood out to me was their ability to take something we considered outdated—what I described as a “dinosaur”—and truly bring it into the 21st century. They didn’t just rebuild it; they improved the overall experience for both our staff and our users, while also being very responsive and collaborative throughout the process.

There weren’t any specific areas for improvement that stood out to me. We expected some issues during the transition, which is normal with any new system, and most of those were tied to the old platform rather than WhizzBridge’s work. Overall, they were responsive in addressing anything that came up.

Whizzbridge migrated our existing employee timesheet and HR system from a microsoft access server hosted environment to an online environment available through a website portal. They completed all SQL programming for the timesheet database to successfully record daily staff time spent on our projects according to our existing timesheet codes. They also completed the creation of our complex reports required for daily and monthly reporting to financial and project management teams to ensure successful completion of our detailing projects.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The timesheet system, along with the reporting interfaces and the employee HR system was built successfully and launched on time. Everything produced by Whizzbridge was in accordance with the scope of work outlined at the start of the project and they did a fabulous job. I was very impressed with their speed and quality of work, they delivered on their commitments and I have no reservations about recommending them for your technology development project.

Their project management is very good. Both Shafqat and Wasim were always available for discussion on the project, they kept me well informed on progress of the team and delivered as promised.

We asked WhizzBridge to help us with the first phase of a system overhaul for our entire stack. We asked them to review our application, pipeline and current stack, then to research solutions and make several recommendations for a stack of software to help us with ETL, data lake/warehouse and a semantic layer to feed an application layer. We also asked for a rough implementation plan of the top recommended solution.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• In addition to regular status meetings and reports over this short engagement, WB delivered an inventory of our current data sources, a detailed presentation on the six recommended options, and a short implementation plan. We measured success by comparing the recommendations against our own prior and concurrent research, by looking into each proposed technology and assessing it for fit against our goals.

Project management was timely and effective, we were never waiting on the team for deliverables or clarifications. We were also able to be very open and honest with the team about our goals, budget and availability.

The WB team really took the time to understand both where we're at and where we want to go. It isn't easy to put yourself into the mind of a totally different company with its own weird unique past, and this team did a great job of climbing into our heads.

They took the time to review all of our interfaces, our database structure, etc., and did many careful re-reads of our original RFP, asking insightful questions along the way to figure out what we wanted. They stayed on meetings as long as it took to get into the details from us, or to explain their thought process and recommendations. Simply put, they GOT IT.

The appearance and delivery of the deliverables may not have been as polished as we were expecting, but ultimately the content is all that matters and that was solid.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After launching the new site our GT Metrix performance score improved to 91%, and LCP (Largest Contentful Paint) reduced to 852ms. The overall website experience improved massively. Organic monthly traffic improved as well.

The WB team was very organized throughout the project. They updated on progress regularly and informed well in time if there were any changes in the action plan. We mainly communicated through slack, email & Trello.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was happy with the transparency I had throughout the project. My customer success manager assured me that all products delivered were up to standard.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I cannot say anything in particular maybe they can add Asana to their project management/communication tools since my team is very familiar with it. Frankly, Trello was also easy to learn.

We had an existing platform that was already in production for several year. It was missing a web-interface that enables our team to configure frequently changing settings. WhizzBridge helped us to create such an interface after taking our requirements during the discovery phase.

We liked WhizzBridge's honest offer and solution. They did not try to create something bigger as we need at this point. Instead they suggested a simple, straight forward solution that works and can be extended into something bigger going forward.

We started with the discovery phase during which we showed WhizzBridge our existing platform and explained how it currently works. We also provided the database schema and some documentation about this platform. From there we defined our requirements and goal for the project at hand. The technology included Laravel, PHP, MariaDB, NGinx, and according libraries.

We were mainly in contact with the project manager and the technical developers directly. That way the communciation was easy and fast during each sprint.

The feedback from our team that is using the provided solution is satisfied and happy to start using it. The provided features and functions are working help our Product Team to be more independent going forward.

Their agile project management style had the right mix between planning, fixed goal, and flexibility reaching those goals. The communication was easy and uncomplicated. We used email, online-meetings, and an issue-tracker to communicate.

The flexibility, friendly communication, price, support, and deliverables are incredible.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Some features like the Password Reset did not work when we first installed it on our test environment but it was addressed and fixed fast.

Whizzbridge team took over the codebase from my previous vendor, identified the issues and shortcomings of previous code, and worked in a very timely manner to reuse previous code and add new code where required, to deliver the new app within committed timelines.

I had a tight deadline for a tradeshow that I needed to launch new version. They met the deadline with clean and functional code with 3,5 months time

Weekly meetings with the team to first discuss the existing code and then discussions on functionality of the code. Additionally developed a new UI for the App, including many new navigational features

The weekly meetings were always productive. They were responsive to changes that came up mid-project and still kept on pace.

I just wish I would have found them sooner

We had many issues with Salesforce Apex classes that had not been fixed and were referencing an object that would be deprecated. A previous developer promised to fix this, but did not. As such, many classes were broken and we did not know. Whizzbridge was able to assign a resource and get us help quickly and effectively.

We met with them and others. However, there was something about the Whizzbridge people that just felt "right". They were honest, humble, polite and helpful. We love them.

We scoped out what we needed, they went through and gave us a scope of work and estimates, and began. We then moved to a T&M model of help with them which has been great. We plan to continue working with them in the future as an additional resource.

3 people - the original Project manager/salesperson, a lead developer to scope out the project, and an actual developer. We only paid for hours from the actual developer who worked on the issue (not the other two people).

We were quoted an hourly rate and they stuck with that and worked within the timeframe we expected.

We wanted to deploy an updated UI and new capabilities in our online platform.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I've worked with WhizzBridge for a few years - but only for developer staff augmentation. The big thing that was different with this project was that we included their UI Designers and a System Architect. A huge selling point for me was having additional resources from a company I know and trust. It made the transition points between Design, Technical Architecture, and Development much smoother and easier.

We have a React/Ruby-on-Rails/SQL stack. The project started with a series of discovery conversations on the new functionality and a UI analysis. The WhizzBridge team then built a detailed scope and started their design work.

We had a series of design conversations where they presented a series of prototypes - the team was excellent about delivering on time and incorporating feedback. Once we had a final design, the UI Team handed it over to the Technical Architect, who then broke everything into a series of trackable tasks.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

They delivered on-time and on-spec. We've been getting great feedback on the new UI, and we are seeing higher engagement from our customers, which I attribute directly to the new UI and feature set.

The team is super communicative, responsive, and transparent. I had live access to the design files, and we had short stand-ups that the team was always well prepared for.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

High-quality work done by solid professionals. They also make staffing and finding resources easy. It wasn't on this project, but about a year ago, one of the developers we were using to augment the team unfortunately fell ill and needed to leave the project. Our Account Manager didn't miss a beat and had candidates lined up before we knew that the developer had to leave the project - they solved what could have been a big problem before I knew it was a problem.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not really - when issues or problems come up (as they will in any project - especially substantial UI projects like this one), they have been outstanding about working through them - again, these guys are super communicative and responsive.
