They began by sharing sample profiles for approval by the hiring managers from our side before conducting in-depth recorded video interviews that helped us greatly in assessing both technical capabilities and cultural fit. I’m the director of operations at Smash Commerce, an e-commerce company. We manufacture our own home and kitchen goods and sell them on Amazon and other e-commerce websites.

We needed a recruiter that could help us recruit candidates to fill positions that emerged in our company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We first used Whitecollars to fill customer service positions. Then, we used them again to hire someone to fill the CFO position. From, we’ve used them to fill IT, supply chain assistant, and head of business development positions. 

During our first engagement, Mohamed (Consulting Manager) helped me fill customer service positions. He presented me with candidates and helped me screen them all based on our directions and needs. We did initial interviews and then used Monday to jot notes on the candidates; we then rated them based on our criteria. It took us about 2–3 weeks to complete the recruitment process.

At present, their current recruitment process starts by reaching out to candidates through LinkedIn. I tell them my requirements, such as our preferred candidate location, language knowledge, and amount of experience. Whitecollars also help us write job descriptions. We haven’t hired anybody else since March 2021, but we use them every time we need to fill a position. Even our CEO goes straight to them when we need to hire someone.

Whitecollars has successfully found candidates for our open positions. The new hires also integrate well into our company. The team’s process is thorough, and we have such a great relationship with them. They follow through with everything that I want and nail every requirement we say.

Their project management is excellent. We provide them with the software we use internally, and our teams collaborate there. They use that tool to manage candidates through interview rounds.

Whitecollars pays attention to detail, especially when it comes to the things we don’t want in a candidate. They also tell us whether or not a candidate is good for the position, so they truly know what we’re looking for — they don’t waste our time.

Be highly specific in what you’re looking for in a candidate. Don’t be vague. Hiring the wrong person costs much more than hiring a recruiter who can interview people. Given that, take as much time as you need to pick the right candidate — give Whitecollars enough time to find somebody for you.
