I am the senior manager of a leading healthcare startup spread across 12 countries.

For what projects/services did your company hire Webomaze, and what were your goals?

We wanted to redesign our website from the ground up. The old site was missing several core features that were important to our business. With time, managing our resources was getting increasingly difficult with it. Thus, we hired Webomaze to re-develop the website while adding the missing features like 2FA, social media login, etc. and integrating several third-party tools and services we used regularly. The end goal was to increase our traffic and the number of conversions we were getting

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

After talking with several agencies, we finalized Webomaze as they had a strong portfolio, sizable team, and sound industry experience.

Initially, their team took the time to understand our target audience and their demographics. Post that, they created a fresh design for the site. It was instantly approved by our management and thus they started developing the website. Their team not only integrated 3rd-party services we used but also helped us improve the overall performance of the website. The new design is aesthetically pleasing and the site works like a charm!

Our main point of contact was a project manager. He drove the project proactively and kept us updated with the latest developments. Apart from him, we also had a chance to work with their technical head who was developing the website.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Certainly. The website’s performance improved by 45% in terms of speed and overall user experience. Due to that, our traffic has increased by a whooping 18% and users spend more time on our pages than they used to before. Because they have also integrated our CRM and ERP directly to the site, we are able to work much more efficiently now. Overall, the new website is really how we wanted it to be and are very happy with the end result.

The project was managed through Zoho Projects. We added our changes there and they used to take care of it. We communicated mostly through emails.. Occasionally though, we used to have conference calls via Zoom.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are very detail-oriented and skilled. Their team proactively involved themselves in the project and provided valuable suggestions that added great value to the project. They are honest, passionate, transparent, and took the time to understand our business. We also had a chance to speak with their founder a couple of times during the project. This demonstrated their dedication and made us feel important. We’re happy with them and will continue working with them in future.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Overall experience was satisfactory. Although there were a few inconsistencies here and there in scheduling meetings and sending reports - but nothing significant enough. I understand that’s part of the process. They were always ready to go above and beyond whenever needed - and that’s more than enough for us.

What challenge were you trying to address with Webomaze?

We were looking to do some SEO, website upgrades, and UX/UI changes. We focused primarily on SEO work.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, we tried to do an upgrade on the Magento platform. Our site is a cross between a solution-based and e-commerce-based website. We thought we would be able to do the upgrade and once it was done, make some changes to improve the site. However, it was going to break some parts of the site, so we put a pause on it.

For now, Webomaze has provided some UX designs and feedback. Primarily, they’ve done SEO work. First, we gave them our requirements and the keywords that we generally target, as well as the kind of customers we were trying to attract. Once we provided the groundwork, they went on and did the actual research to see how those keywords performed and whether we should target any additional ones.

We've also provided them some general content for blogs, and they’ve written the copy for the blogs based on what we provided.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

There’s been some improvement on certain keywords in terms of our Google ranking. It’s hard to quantify if that has resulted in actual sales or not, but at least from an SEO perspective, we’re starting to rank better and we have more searches and clicks coming through the site. From that standpoint, we’ve improved in visibility and exposure.

How did Webomaze perform from a project management standpoint?

In general, their communication and output in SEO work have been quite good. We meet with our main point of contact every couple of weeks, and they provide a report on the SEO work. If we have any feedback or changes, we give it to them, and in between that fortnight, they send us updates.

We communicate mostly via email. Once a fortnight, we do a Zoom meeting. The reports and updates come through Google Sheets or Google Docs.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication is clear; especially in regards to our main point of contact for the SEO work. He seems to have a strong understanding of how it works and what needs to be done.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Now that there’s a built-in pace, I think the work progress could be a little quicker in general. Also, since we’re working with an offshore team, the language skills in the blog aren’t necessarily at the required standard. We have a bit of back-and-forth in terms of correcting spelling and grammar.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Brief them clearly and keep regular communication. Also, make sure they have a clear understanding of your business.

It takes time to grow a digital presence, but after six months, we’re slowly progressing to where we want to be. We’re pretty satisfied with Webomaze's services right now. I have no complaints. They’ve been wonderful.

We’ve been pushing our repair business in the keywords and we’ve seen an increase in repairs coming in. This could be because of various reasons, but Webomaze is doing well.

They update us weekly on their work, and then we have bi-weekly conference calls. We receive reports over Google Docs that have analyses of off-page optimization, local search promotion, and traffic data.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Most vendors fall off after the first few months, but Webomaze checks in every week. They’re good at providing consistent updates.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not at the moment. I’ll have a better idea after another six months. These past six months have seen our rankings and presence improve.

Give them a shot. Most of the companies I’ve worked with only provide quarterly updates, but Webomaze is on top of their game.

We hired them to troubleshoot some issues we were having with our WordPress theme. It had become very slow and it was impeding our ability to use our site in the way we wanted. They ended up recoding the entire site.

Instead of using a web-page builder, they wrote custom code on WordPress. We had some maps embedded into the navigation menu to make things a little more interactive and not kind of slowing down our whole site.

Our webmaster is working with them to tie up a few loose ends, but everything has gone really well. The process has been straightforward and easy.

We had a kick-off call and a wrap-up call on Zoom. Otherwise, we just used email to communicate with them.

They also did a great job working hand-in-hand with our SEO team.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re efficient and they communicate well even though they’re on the other side of the world. Nevertheless, everyone has been really responsive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There were a few times when I had to ask them for updates, and it would have been nice if they had reached out proactively. Still, as soon as I asked, they responded, so it wasn’t a major issue.

New clients should be very clear about what they want.

I’m an account director at Think2Grow Marketing. However, in my work with Webomaze, I work with Norsteel Buildings, a seller of steel buildings. That includes custom constructions as well as the selling of smaller steel building kits.

What challenge were you trying to address with Webomaze?

Initially, we had a Shopify website which we were using to try to sell the steel building kits. The problem we were running into was twofold: one, the transaction sizes were too large, and two, our SEO practices were only generating value for the Shopify site rather than our main one.

We engaged Webomaze to build an e-commerce store onto our main website to solve those problems. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The team built a WooCommerce store into our WordPress website, which helps improve our SEO value. They were also able to implement a deposit system, so when a user makes a payment through our new online store, they’re able to put a 25% deposit down. Later, we follow up with them to get the remaining balance. 

For the most part, Webomaze migrated the copy we’d already drafted for the Shopify site to the WooCommerce one.

I worked with two people: Ravi (Founder & CEO), who was my main contact through the planning phases, and Vinika (User Experience Designer), who was our point person down the line.

I wasn’t involved in the initial hiring process, but Webomaze was brought on board by a mutual contact’s recommendation.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since July 2020. Our first run of the site was completed in October, but we ran into a technical issue. We ended up having to redo a few months of work, and Webomaze was completely willing to help out.

We’re very happy with the platform and the service. The quality and pace of Webomaze’s work has been excellent. The team has been really open to helping us with little changes and things like that. They’ve been excellent.

How did Webomaze perform from a project management standpoint?

At the start of the project, Ravi and I would meet once a week or once every other week to solidify our plan for the project. The time difference makes it a little difficult to communicate, but for the most part, we’ve found ways to make it work. We communicate back and forth via email and the occasional Zoom call. Webomaze has been very responsive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have an ability to take our changes and incorporate them without pushback. Webomaze was always open to more suggestions from us, and they were very quick to give us an idea of how long or how difficult something was going to be.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I really don’t think so. My only complaint is the time difference, but there’s nothing they could do about that.

Think through your web development process, and keep everyone informed along the way of what everyone is working on.

We had an outdated website that needed to be faster. It also needed more features and needed to be easier to change.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Webomaze redesigned our website, migrated data, and incorporated additional features that we identified as needs. Their team built a new, interactive backend that multiple people can use. They also developed other functions into a single page on the backend. For example, we can gain insight into the activities of our internal users. We can now track the lifecycle of our work and assist in the QA process.

I was first introduced to Webomaze’s owner but now primarily work with another team member.

We previously worked with Ravi (CEO & Founder). He started Webomaze and approached us, so we decided to partner up.

This project started before I became involved in it. I started working on this project around August, and we finished it around October 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The project trimmed days off of our turnaround time. We harvest data and then put it on the website. Collecting, editing, adding data entry fields, and uploading the documents takes a lot of time. The way Webomaze rebuilt our website allowed us to do everything much faster. We can process a document in 15 minutes. It’s a substantial improvement from our original database.

How did Webomaze perform from a project management standpoint?

Webomaze took a hands-on approach to this project. We communicated via email, video and phone calls, and presentations. The communication channels were open. We didn’t use any tools outside of PowerPoint, Excel, and Google.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was most impressed by their customer service. I consider myself a needy client because I always forget to mention everything in one call. Never once did I feel like they thought I was needy. I had one urgent request for our site that happened earlier in the project. One of their team members cut his vacation short to return to the office and figure it out as quickly as possible.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they adapted to anything I needed. If I needed more clarification or a 1-on-1 call at 11 p.m., they were available.

Think about your ideas and share them in as much detail as possible. Webomaze will be able to take that information and share the risks and benefits. They will also talk to you about any other opportunities your project offers.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Webomaze is rebuilding our client’s website to make it more accessible and SEO-friendly. They’re working to improve the site’s look and functionality. The website will be under the same domain and URL, but it’s a substantial rebuild and restructure. The website’s structure is complicated because our client provides so many locations and services. I think that the navigation structure that Webomaze comes up with will be really effective and work well.

My team is working with the client on SEO, which will be applied to the new website once it’s finished. Webomaze is working with the client on web development; we’re both in close communication with the client on the project.

Our team works with two people from Webomaze — Ravi (CEO) and Vinika (UX Designer).

We actually didn’t hire Webomaze — a previous manager at my company had worked with Ravi and referred Webomaze to one of our clients. When I joined this client’s account, we were introduced.

I’m not sure what this specific project will cost. Ravi has said that all of the projects that they’re doing for our company will cost more than $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The collaboration started before I joined the company. This specific client engagement began in 2020, and it’s ongoing. The website is expected to launch by early or mid-January 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

So far, they’ve been great to work with. It’s hard to measure the impact because the website hasn’t launched yet. However, at this point, we’re measuring success by how responsive they’ve been. 

How did Webomaze perform from a project management standpoint?

Webomaze’s team has been really responsive. Considering the fact that we’re in different time zones — they’re in Australia and we’re in the US — they’ve been great to work with. They’ve been happy to take feedback, provide recommendations, and hop on calls. 

Communication has been good. They respond to emails quickly and are very willing to get on calls as needed. The team also makes an effort to ensure we're in the loop on how things are going. They provide recommendations or ask questions so that they can be as efficient as possible with their work.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They thoroughly think through potential issues. We’ve brought up design requests and ideas, and Webomaze’s team helps us think through them. That’s important to make sure things are going efficiently and to resolve issues before they come up. It’s been really helpful.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We have good communication and are informed about the progress made, but it would be good to see screenshots or actually be able to look at what they’re working on. I’m sure they’d be happy to provide this, but taking that initiative and just showing us their progress would be nice.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

This goes for working with any web developer, but express what exactly you want out of the work from them, from the get-go. Things can get confusing, especially when you bring things up later on, so just make sure you tell them clearly what you need them to do, why you need that, and what you’re working on as well. Solid communication is the biggest thing.

We went to them to increase our online presence and generate leads for the company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They built our website from scratch in WordPress, creating our site’s content and explaining to clients what we do and what services we offer. Now, they’re in charge of our visual presence, from web design to content. They handle our digital marketing work from A to Z as well, including local SEO, organic promotions, and PPC.

I’ve worked with Ravi (Founder & CEO) and Shubam (Manager, Sales & Delivery). I have one main contact person for SEO and design issues.

How did you come to work with Webomaze?

I found them through Fiverr or a similar platform for offshore contractors. I first got in contact with Ravi, who was very pleasant and seemed knowledgeable. I felt confident choosing Webomaze over a couple of other agencies I contacted, mainly because I felt Ravi would do a good job for me.

The cost so far is between $50,000–$100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Webomaze around July 2016, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Most of our keywords are in the top three places on Google, which is the main metric we focus on. Sales went up dramatically 6–8 months after we started working with them. As soon as we had a prominent presence, we could see calls and sales going up.

How did Webomaze perform from a project management standpoint?

They have 24/7 customer service, including on holidays and weekends. Additionally, they address all our questions and let us know in advance about their availability during off periods. I’ve worked with multiple project managers from Webomazeover the years, and the process has always been comfortable. I always feel confident that my issues are being addressed in an immediate manner.

We communicate through phone calls, WhatsApp, email, and anything else I choose to use. We have conference calls once every 1–2 weeks, and I get biweekly reports covering traffic, clicks, and how people are finding us. I’m in the loop for all of that, and every metric has increased over the past four years.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s their communication and dedication.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It’s tough to say, in that no one really knows what Google does. They change stuff around on a weekly basis, so we can’t really fault anyone in that respect. The communication with Webomaze has been great, and there’s nothing I can say that they haven’t done. I wouldn’t have done business with them for so many years otherwise.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

It’s important to have patience. Results take time, but people normally expect things to go up in a week or in a month. That’s never the case.
