We are a digital marketing agency offering web and mobile development, search engine optimization, and social media marketing. I am a marketing partner at the company.

What challenge were you trying to address with WebMob?

We don't have an extensive enough ability of developing mobile apps in-house.

What was the scope of their involvement?

WebMob was approached for mobile app development at a level that we wouldn't be able to handle. WebMob has been mainly working with the US branch of our office.

How did you come to work with WebMob?

Because we are connected to the US branch of our company, we had access to the resources available through it. The selection process was handled in the US. I could see that they were looking for a developer with good English skills and a holistic understanding of various project types.

How much have you invested with WebMob?

We worked on a relatively small project with WebMob, for a total of $3,000. The average price for WebMob's services is around $20,000 per app. For a full package of services, including development for 2 operating systems and updates, the cost would be upwards of $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with WebMob in September 2014. We have an ongoing relationship for consulting. We are also planning to start a new project within 3 months.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

Our first development project with WebMob will start in 3 months' time. We have used them for consultation services until now, figuring out what the design challenges for our software would be. In this sense, WebMob has been very helpful.

How did WebMob perform from a project management standpoint?

I would rate WebMob a 9 out of 10 for project management. They don't receive a perfect rating because there were some communication lapses. As with any business, there is room for improvement, but WebMob has overall been quick to respond and detail-oriented. They covered things which I overlooked.

What did you find most impressive about WebMob?

Before making a comparison, I would need to have worked with a few other vendors in the same space.

Are there any areas WebMob could improve?

This may be specific to WebMob's industry: they're somewhat lacking in terms of design, which has been experienced by our US office as well. WebMob didn't follow general design principles and color matching. They could also be more competitive in terms of pricing. Some quotations from WebMob were too high, compared to the features that we were asking for.

We specialize in digital marketing, web design, mobile app design, and many other services like print media and the online space. We cover most anything to do with marketing. Our company has offices in Jacksonville, Florida, and Trinidad.

What business challenge were you trying to address with WebMob Technologies?

Our owner was working independently at the time. He needed help in developing some mobile apps.

We've used WebMob Technologies on an ongoing basis for mobile app development. We've started using them for website development as well. WebMob works on PHP, MySQL, Big Data management, CodeIgniter, Laravel, Custom WordPress development, HTML5/CSS3, Magento customization, .NET, payment gateways API, and social media APIS integration, using multiple developers who can handle different technologies and challenging tasks. For mobile application development, WebMob uses Objective-C, Swift, Android SDK, Xcode, Android Studio, SQLite, core data, Crashlytics, etc., to build native mobile applications.

WebMob has handled the research for all of our projects in order to determine what can be accomplished within a platform, and in order to stay on top of operating system updates. For example, the iOS 9 update made push notifications stop working on the iPhone 6 for a while. WebMob made sure that our apps would regain push functionalities.

WebMob Technologies has worked on various mobile apps with us, including an app for an arena football team. They've also developed an Uber-style taxi app for beach rides. WebMob has also worked on an app for a local IT conference, and we are currently working with them for developing an app for a health care domain, which will be used as a secure surveillance system. It has complex video and audio transmission of hundreds of IP cameras and uses role-based backend authentication using Java technologies.

Our yet-to-be-launched apps built by WebMob Technologies incorporates:

• Social media app for events with group/individual chat, social media integration, push notifications, news feed, photos upload with like and comment features.
• An application with a complex gamification algorithm which binds tasks, i.e bounties, rewards, achievements, and levels. It also covers functionalities like custom filter and google maps, stripe payment integration, help desk, inventory management, photos upload, and ability to add comments.

How did you come to work with WebMob Technologies?

We initially gave WebMob’s team a few test projects. They did well, so we decided to continue using them as our app developer.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

The total cost of WebMob’s services so far has been between $50,000 and $200,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with WebMob Technologies in 2014. We have an ongoing relationship and talk to their team pretty much every day.

Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

We've worked on multiple projects with wide variation in terms of scope. Our healthcare domain app has camera functionalities, while the taxi app needed to tap into the central servers every 30 seconds. WebMob Technologies is very good at finding out how all these various functionalities can be accomplished. This has helped us a lot in terms of research. They're knowledgeable about what they're doing and are able to come back to us within 1-2 days and tell us what we can or can't do.

The Uber-style taxi app has received many downloads and is constantly used by people going to the beach. It has taken the business from a calling service to an online mobile app model.

How did WebMob Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

WebMob Technologies has performed well in this respect. The time difference can be a challenge, but they definitely get back to us within 24 hours. They usually finish their work on Eastern Time, so we've gotten used to receiving answers in the morning.

What distinguishes WebMob Technologies from other providers?

WebMobTech's detailed analysis of any requirement and suggesting the best solution for it puts them way ahead of others. Along with technical analysis, they are pretty good at business analysis of any app or web idea shared with them. Recently, one client wanted to replicate the Advt Delivery module as part of their social media app, which was going to be costly; instead, WebMob Technologies has suggested to use Admob to get the desired result and cost savings to our client. Like this, so many other inputs from WebMob have helped us to serve our clients better.

We would appreciate it if WebMob Technologies told us about any delays upfront.

I needed a tech company to help me to develop my software. I was not in the tech industry and needed someone to understand my goal.

What was the scope of their involvement?

WebMob Technologies built our solution using Java — they were the third development team to work on the project. The main functionality of the system is connecting trading platforms to our platform and automatically syncing the day trades. The software aims to help traders optimize their tracking system, analyze their results, reach their goals, and use them for maintenance.

I've worked with Pramesh (CEO), his assistant, and a developer from their team. 

How did you come to work with WebMob Technologies?

I found them on Google. WebMob Technologies was amazing because they had multiple developers that, within a few weeks, understood what I wanted.

We've spent over $30,000 with them so far.

We started working together in January 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I had too many bugs and issues with the previous developers for our customers. Thanks to WebMob Technologies' work, everything's improving, so I'm very thankful for their work. 

How did WebMob Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate over a Slack channel in case I have any issues or want to change or update something — I can reach them any day of the week, and they're very fast with their responses. In addition, we use monday.com for prioritizing tickets.

Moreover, we appreciate how they tried to understand and quickly find a solution for us.

What did you find most impressive about them?

First, they are cheaper than our previous developers, which is better for me because I can invest more in other parts of the business. Second, they're fast at understanding the project needs and finding a solution, which distinguishes them from other providers. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don't think there's anything they can improve on.

Clarify your needs concerning the project and be specific about each feature you want in the app. Overall, I highly recommend working with them.
