What challenge were you trying to address with Webgate?
We didn’t have a website, so we needed a company to help us build a website and turn our vision into reality.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?
Webgate designed and developed our main website using WordPress. Their work involved UX/UI design and backend integration. Before building the site, they provided us with a few design proposals.

In addition, they developed three more websites for us for three different businesses. The main website was launched one year ago, but they still manage our site updates.

What is the team composition?
I worked with 4–5 people from Webgate, including their CEO, co-founder, and head of sales.

How did you come to work with Webgate?
I found Webgate through an online search. We chose them because their methodologies were clearly described on their site and because their pricing was very competitive.

We spent between $40,000–$60,000 on this project.

What is the status of this engagement?
We worked on this project from January–November 2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Thanks to our new website, it was much easier for us to recruit people and fill up our open positions. We’ve also received positive feedback and even inquiries from other YouTubers asking us who made our website because of its creative design and ease of use.

How did Webgate perform from a project management standpoint?
Webgate performed well in terms of project management. We had weekly meetings, and they provided regular updates throughout the project.

We primarily communicated through Google Meet.

The scope of work was to manage and ensure the security of 3 domains. That includes creating a stagging environment, setup up WordPress, software and plugin updates, security and protection and improving website speed and performance. We also need to create elements like a megamenu, custom logo, cookie consent etc.

The kindergarten operates as a non-profit organization, a civil association, which is financed by voluntary contributions from sponsors and parents.

The development was agile and best effort, without deadlines. We used ClickUp tracking tool for creating tasks, assigning the tasks and tracking progress. After each deliverable we did the round of test to prove the quality of deliverable.

Recently, they were helping us a lot to ensure correct dataflow not only from web to Pipedrive, our CRM. Their knowledge of Zapier, integration tool, was and still is a great help for us.

Their time management was great, they were always able to tell us when some feature or fixes will be done and always kept the deadline. Also their communication is great, whenever they had any idea or question, they reached out to us and didn't implement solution until we figured it out. Their time to respond is also less than 24h which means that we can always count on them, especially in time-sensitive things.

Their cooperativeness and willingness to find a solution were impressive- even when we didn't know how to resolve our problems, we sit together with Webgate and together we looked at problem from various points of view. Every time we found solution that was technically possible and satisfying to our needs.
