There were several feedback loops.

We worked with The Weather on the full branding and website for our project. The scope included defining a complete visual identity (logo, color palette, typography, and visual system), as well as designing and developing a website that communicates our mission clearly to partners and stakeholders. Key deliverables were the website design in Figma and a fully developed site with custom layouts and interactive elements.

Our team was very satisfied with the new branding identity, and the overall layout and functionality of the website. We have had good visibility to the public too, and use the site for presenting ourselves as a team in professional capacity to diverse audiences.

The project management was smooth and straightforward. We first spoke directly with one of the co-founders, which gave us confidence in the direction, and then worked closely with Lenka, their project manager. Communication was mainly through email, Slack and Google Meet, and they always responded quickly. Deadlines were clear and met, and they adapted easily when we had last-minute requests or needed more explanation.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are a pleasure to work with, professional and creative. What stood out the most was their ability to translate a complex, research-driven topic like ecosystem restoration into a brand identity that feels both scientific and inspiring. The design doesn’t just look good - it actually helps us explain our mission in a way that resonates with different audiences. They also took care of the website handover and organized a technical CMS workshop for our team. They keep maintaining the website for us. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something The Weather could have done differently?

Follow-up about the domain name woudl haev been better a bit sooner or even at the start of the process to avoid delays due to lengthy purchasing processes and other schedule commitments.

The Weather worked closely with the technical advisor in charge of website management for the COST action, building content templates to gauge design direction for the website based on similar websites and the older version of the company website that was in use at the time. The Weather created a new website using Elementor and Wordpress CMS which kept the design of the original website while polishing and improving it. The improvements were (but not limited to): Adding contact forms to the page, Creating custom icons and buttons, Adding dynamic content that can be updated much more smoothly than previously, Providing training on use of Elementor and Wordpress CMS, Maintaining and hosting the website they designed and published, Transferring the domain from the old website to the new one, Implementing SEO best practices and site traffic monitoring. Deliverables (all achieved or ongoing): A fully functional website which is user friendly and appealing to the eye, Basic training for ongoing maintenance, Technical support, Hosting (ideally) for the duration of the cost action (until 23/Sep/28), Establishment of analytics for the website to monitor SEO and traffic

Prompt and on-time delivery of a fully functional, highly customisable website that closely follows the design decisions of the client and fulfills the requirements the client requested (events page, contact forms, information about the work). Ongoing domain hosting, technical support and maintenance

Highly competent project management. One of the reasons we chose The Weather was the initial helpful and friendly communication with the project manager assigned to the project (Hanna Pylypenko). All needs were discussed and accomodated to the best of their ability. During the design phase, communication was smooth and responsive and allowed us to work very efficiently.

This was my first time working with a website design company, but The Weather made it simple and easy. I wasn't bombarded with technical questions and it was very clear what I needed to deliver to The Weather so they could create the website my team and I had in mind. Lenka and Leona took the time to carefully listen to our ideas and expectations for the new website. Throughout the entire planning phase, they paid close attention to our feedback and made sure our vision was reflected in the proposed designs. We were presented with several different layout and design options, from which we selected one to continue developing further.

We were genuinely impressed by how efficiently and reliably the team worked, always meeting the agreed deadlines. Whenever we needed to make changes or adjustments, it was never an issue – we received helpful and professional advice along the way.

In the end, the completed website was delivered on time, and we are very pleased with the result. Not only do we like it ourselves, but we have also received very positive feedback from others.

It has not been enough time to measure all outcomes in numbers. However, we have received a professional-looking visual identity and a strong slide deck for selling purposes, which have kicked off the project in the right direction.
