Please describe your company and your position there.

We provide analytics, modeling and simulations development, web design and development services that support enterprise scale simulations and modeling programs. I am owner, principal designer and owner of the company.

For what projects/services did your company hire WaferWire Cloud Technologies?

WaferWire allowed me to quickly scale development services. Once we established our design and documentation processes, WaferWire provided rapid prototyping and development of user interfaces for several models and decision support spaces.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal for the project is to provide rapid and responsive design services for the Veterans Healthcare Administration, resulting in the deployment of a large scale (over 5,000 users) simulation user interface and decision support platform. We continue to provide iterative user-centered improvements and designs.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I knew this vendor through mutual contacts within Microsoft Corp. I gave them a small project, through which, I was able to judge their capability first-hand. They delivered an on-time, high quality product. From there I extended them to a multi-year master services agreement.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

The Modeling to Learn program supports multidisciplinary teams of front line psychiatry, psychology, social work, nursing and certified peer support specialist providers in the Veterans Health Administration. Modeling to Learn websites provide a simulation and decision space to implementation scientists, quality improvement researchers, and to patient, provider and policy-maker stakeholders across the Veterans Health Administration, and other integrated addiction and mental health care systems. Praxis Analytix and WaferWire provide web development services, troubleshooting and administration services of our Forio Epicenter enterprise simulation platform that is the foundation of Modeling to Learn.

What was the team composition?

The project team includes an interdisciplinary mix of 45 research scientists, educators, psychologists, psychiatrists, data scientists, modeling and simulations, program managers and web services developers.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The primary contract for this project has been complimented with multiple follow-on contracts and modifications over 4 years, which I take as evidence of our primary customer's satisfaction.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management is the customer's responsibility in this context; however, our deliverables have been consistently 4 months ahead of schedule. In fact, our primary customer has repeatedly requested assistance in devising effective project management methods to bring the entire team in-line with the schedule.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

WaferWire has an impeccable customer focus and they turn work around incredibly fast. Furthermore, their rates are very competitive and represent a good value for their customer.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I have no suggestions for change. We have established some very robust processes that result in solid working designs that meet our requirements.

We do many services for car dealerships in the Seattle area. I am the General Manager for the company.

For what projects/services did your company hire WaferWire Cloud Technologies?

This recent project is a dispatching software for our film installers and managers to use. They also designed a recon tracking and approval software for us in the past.

What were your goals for this project?

Streamline communication and logistic management for all our film installation cars.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I got a referral to them years ago for the previous project. They have very fair pricing and do a good job with the application development.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

We now have a web browser application to use at the computer and phone apps to use in the field. They designed the program and databases from scratch and everything works well.

What was the team composition?

I have 2 main contacts, but they have a whole team of developers on their side. We communicated over email and had screen-sharing web meetings.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

This has greatly streamlined our dispatch communication and has been great help for us!

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We had periodic web meetings to review progress, and a spreadsheet to track changes, fixes, etc throughout the process. It was effective and we got the project done in good time.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

It was cost-effective, and we received a good end result!

Are there any areas for improvement?

Very little to improve. The only thing that might be nice is support during our business hours in US Pacific time.
