We have hired Vyrazu Labs for multiple projects though this project was related to finding the best institution based on their interest in different subjects. Our goal was to make a great UI that will appeal young generation and a robust backend that can easily scale.

We were already working with Vyrazu Labs for a long time, and they were always good in providing and full filling the requirements that we came up with. Selecting this vendor was not a brainer as were already happy with their services.

The scope was to create a platform that can be used by students who are looking to choose the subjects for their curriculum. This tool was to ask them to go through a very small question-and-answer session to check their interest in different subjects and create their profile. Based on their interest our tool recommends different schools or colleges which they can choose from.

This helps students to get the best subject that matches their interests, as well as institutions, get the best student for their courses. The major step was the following:

The technologies that we have selected were the following:

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our system helped us to reach almost 10K students within 5 months after the delivery, we were able to onboard many institutions on our platform and we are doing good.

Although I talk to the entire team though my main point of communication is Vasu Naman. I find him a great leader as even before starting the coding he manages to put every single details of the project in Scrum which help me to track the development and I believe it helps programmers to code properly too.

The communication of the entire team is great, very well, and fluent in English so no issues from my end. Regarding timeliness, they have never missed any deadline and I am very happy about it.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They call themselves a research-based development company, which reflects what they do. They will take your requirement, study that, and then will get back to you with the best technology that you should be selecting.

I have also noticed that they helped me to add more functions to the system that I was not thinking of and it made my system even better.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

It's a fact that however good you are you need improvements. What I find about them is they are continuously upgrading themselves. When we started a few years ago they were using the best tech available at that time and now they are using the one which is available now.

We had a series of meetings so that we could properly discuss all our goals and objectives. After discussing in detail, they offer wireframes and designs and they build everything accordingly.

There was a project manager to handle the app work and he was the point of contact too throughout the MySig app development project. Apart from the project manager, there were two lead front-end and back-end developers to discuss with.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After a short span of time, we did an app beta launch, we have experienced a good range of app downloads and achieved quite a good rating too. Apart from this, we are also enjoying a boost in traffic after launching the app. We are getting positive feedback from our users and the user base is also increasing at a good pace.

The project manager was very helpful and easy to communicate all our requirements. He also offered frequent updates so that we can stay on the same page. Face-to-face video meetings and phone calls were the main communication mediums. For feedback, we followed the Scrum and daily standup approach. We got everything on time and we are pleased with that.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Vyrazu Labs runs with a very impressive app development skillset. They are highly qualified and experienced in user experience and execution. They were very patient in understanding our requirements and were willing to work closely with us. Together we learned a lot of things.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

As a customer, we always look for things much faster, as the needs of our customers/users are changing day by day, although the approach Vyrazu Labs has taken is in fact the best approach since they have delivered projects much faster but as a customer, I always look for being faster in terms of turnaround. Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

As being a Government organisation the impact was more on the citizen of our municipality i.e they were now able to see day to day work which is happening in our municipality.

They can book resources online, it was tough for them earlier as they have to come to office and then they had to apply. They can apply for jobs online whenever they see new jobs. So the overall impact was on the citizen and this system helped them to use technology to simplify their work.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management was good, and since they were using Agile Methodology it was even better for me since I personally follow Agile Methodology as well. So, my experience with them in-terms of Project Management was quite good

Every week they provided weekly update, everything was properly document for each new feature they used scrum. Though this was quite documented, we used to have calls to explain functions and complexity of it which was something I liked a lot.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

In one sentence, I would say it's their communication and responsibility. They were highly available and very responsible for whatever they did. For bigger project like this there are highly possibility of bugs and broken features, but my experience was very good with them. As I found very little or no bugs at all.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I found them excellent in what they do, as my experience with them was awesome so I think they can improve what they have and become even better.

Vyrazu Labs PVT. LTD. is developing my platform using MySQL, PHP, and JavaScript. It’s almost complete now, but we’ve been on hold based on my schedule. We’ll start testing it in September. We talk, they build, and I review it. As we come up with new ideas, we talk about i, and they implement changes.

Those I’ve shown the platform to so far have been impressed. Vyrazu Labs PVT. LTD. have also made improvements to my concept along the way. I’ll come to them with an idea, they’ll respond with an alternative, and they’ll explain why theirs is the better option.

They’re smart and have a “can do” attitude. They say that nothing is hard, it might just take time. Their team is strong and I very much like working with them.

We use Skype and we email. Any time I need to speak to them, they’re available or they call me back right away, at all times of the day and evening.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're good at what they do and their technical knowledge seems up-to-date. They make good suggestions for improvements. I’ve had a strongly positive experience with them; I consider them to be friends at this point.

No, they’ve met all my criteria.

Make sure the communication is ongoing. If you don’t hear from them, don’t assume they’re not working—they are. If you have questions or want reassurances, just reach out to them. They’re always available.

This was the first commercially released independent game we distributed on Steam. It showed that we could develop feature-length interactive stories for a global gaming audience.

VYRAZU LABS PVT. LTD. built the app from start to finish. I'm currently talking to them about updates and a website as well.

What were your goals for this project?

I needed to build an app that could scan a barcode to get product information, then load a location, category, and expiration date. Users needed to add the product to their list, view everything easily, and sort by expiration date to see what products would expire soon or filter products by category and location.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I searched Upwork and posted a vague job description. More than 60 people sent messages. I looked at their reviews and hourly rates; I didn't want the cheapest or the most expensive option. I had several phone conversations, but they were clearly the best. It's extremely difficult to describe your vision, especially when you're speaking to someone from another continent, but communicating with their founder was easy. He was the only one who understood exactly what I needed.

Describe the project in detail.

They created an app that could scan a product when it is purchased and again when it is used, using an API. I created designs on Adobe Illustrator. They evaluated the designs, made some improvements, and offered some ideas to make the app and my company better. Some of those ideas are in development now. At this time, the app is a hybrid for iOS only. VYRAZU LABS PVT. LTD. is currently developing the website.

I'm not sure how many people were involved. I spoke to the founder most of the time. If I wasn't speaking to him, he was still involved with the conversation. I've only spoken to two others. I prefer speaking to one person.

Our major measure of success was to launch a functioning app. I wanted to launch the MVP and work on improvements later.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was good. VYRAZU LABS PVT. LTD. was always available for the meetings I requested. We spoke using Upwork, Skype, email, and WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The communication flowed well both ways. Their best quality was their patience. I had no experience in app development, so I asked a lot of questions that must have been common knowledge. They never made me feel uninformed, and they never seemed annoyed. They definitely went out of their way to explain things and bring me up to speed.

The project took longer than we originally estimated, but that seems to be the nature of development. I'm hiring them again, so I'm not too concerned.
