For each of the videos in this project Voquent researched their network for several (up to 5) samples of voice talents according to a general directorial direction, The chosen talent was then contacted by Voquent as they pinned down a date for the recording session (where they would record a script delivered by me / my client). After the respective, successful recording session a sound engineer would clean up and in some cases re-arrange / edit the recording/s and deliver them in high quality (non-lossy) WAV format. Most of the time, also the door for slight changes and ammendmends (re-phrasing / re-deliver some words or sentences) is kept open - but due to the excellent voice talent works this is very rarely neccessary.

The main video of the campaign already made it to several hundred views.

Voquent was at any time invested in delivering as fast as possible. As they are dependent on finding recording dates with their network of voice talents, sometimes there is a need to shift talents because of their workload or holidays, but a satisfying solution was / is always found. Voquent is always open to and heavily interested in feedback and makes it possible to re-record punctually if specific words and phrases need another pronunciation according to the client/s.

I find the quality of the voice talents very impressive. Most of the time they get it absolutely right in the first recording session with no critique and necessity to re-record anything at all. Also they always communicate super friendly and try to meet the clients wished where they are able to.

Just once there was a minor gripe with one of the voice talents, which did not completely deliver to the full satisfaction of the client. But admittedly the style we where trying to go for in that particular video was notoriously hard to get right (having something between serious delivery and dry humor).

Although Voquent were great in going above and beyond with this project, I think it should be the standard to be able to request multiple auditions from talent. Voiceover samples are often difficult to judg, because the talent presents a wide range of tones.
