What challenge were you trying to address with Volta One?

We were looking for an agency to help us with branding and marketing.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Volta One created a commercial website and helped launch three different cosmetic brands. We shared some ideas with them, and they provided creative and copyright materials, as well as visual and written content. 

The team also created flyers and other marketing materials, as well as handled digital campaigns and all marketing and branding strategies. They proposed to connect our website and brand with a chain here in the Ukraine.

What is the team composition?

We work with a project manager, a business manager, designers, copywriters, and marketing specialists.

How did you come to work with Volta One?

I asked colleagues, and they recommended Volta One. When we met, I was impressed by their marketing experience and their patience in answering all of my questions. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $200,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around summer 2017, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The sale of the brands was the main goal. One of the brands launched in 2017 is still number one here, both in terms of online and offline sales. A brand that we started earlier this year is 20% of pharmaceutical sales. The team did very good design and copyright work, so we are extremely pleased.

How did Volta One perform from a project management standpoint?

Our brand manager works collaboratively with them to run the project. They work effectively together.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate that we are building a long-term relationship. They understand our brands and our goals, and they work hard to create what we want in a professional way.

Be open and communicate clearly to achieve the best results.

I'm the CMO of QR Health Solutions - a center of excellence for advanced cellular therapy and regenerative medicine. We offer full-scale examination, application of advanced cell therapy methods and long-term follow-up.

For what projects/services did your company hire Volta One?

We needed a clear website to promote our services mainly on foreign markets, plus to give information on advanced cellular therapy.

What were your goals for this project?

Due to the specific of our market and target audience, we had such goals: clear and modern design, usability, fast download speed as our clients are situated all over the world (mostly, Europe, Arabic countries).

How did you select this vendor?

I'd worked with Volta One before on other projects. We asked them to offer their vision of the new project launch. Volta's approach was the most relevant, so we started our cooperation.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

First of all, as the regenerative medicine is very specific topic, Volta suggested to conduct a research of our audience and competitors and find out main guidelines within which we will work. That the main thing, that guys always give additional tools that show wide picture. It wasn't just - here is an attractive design, if you like it, we'll make a website for you. Together with Volta we started from research, create hypotheses, concept and after that were content, structure and design of our website.

On the different stages we engaged different experts. From QR Health Solutions side there were around 6 people. Our team communicated mostly with 2 persons: CEO and PM.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

As it was a very start of the project, Volta team helped us to build effective communication and create messages that are clear for our audience. Our partners and clients have given a really positive feedback concerning general design of the website, its clear structure and fast download speed from different parts of the world.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We are grateful to Otari and Oleksandr for being in touch and making clear all the questions and concerns that appear during the project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Strong focus on the result, fast reaction on new terms or circumstances and responsibility for a quality result within the approved budget.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I have nothing to suggest. They are a professional team with unique and wide vision.

I’m the former president of K.Fund, a charitable organization working on the sustainable development of individual education. We supported a number of projects related to education and the economy.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Volta One?

We wanted to promote the topic of popular science, especially among Ukrainian youth. Our plan was to develop an intellectual mobile game with riddles and quizzes.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Volta One was able to quickly understand our goals. They suggested that we first test our hypothesis and see how many people would be interested in the app. 

They suggested that we don’t invest a lot of money, time, and effort into developing the application, but rather to make an MVP in the form of a chatbot. That way, we’d be able to test out our hypothesis with fewer resources and in a shorter period.

After we made that decision, the work was divided into two parts. We had to gather content for the chatbot, and we had to develop and promote it. For the content gathering phase, we established contact with Ukrainian scientists from different areas—space, biology, engineering, and so on—and hired them to prepare the quizzes and riddles. 

After we gathered all the content, Volta One collected the questions that would be part of the game, copywrote them to be comprehensible to regular people, and developed the chatbot. They were also responsible for advertising, promotion, and PR activities.

What is the team composition?

The account manager was our primary point of contact. I also communicated with Volta One’s CEO regularly. I don’t know what the exact size of the team was, but I know they had copywriters, two developers, and a social media manager.

How did you come to work with Volta One?

They were recommended to me by one of their former clients. Additionally, one of the founders of Volta has another business in the events industry that I worked with several years ago.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent a little more than $30,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them between December 2017–October 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have around 27,000 players using the game. Given the topic and the level of interest we gauged, I think that that’s a great result. When testing whether this topic would be popular enough in Ukraine to become a commercial project, we thought there wasn’t enough demand, so we decided not to go forward with further development. We think the market isn’t ready for us yet.

From my point of view, Volta One did great in terms of promotional campaigns. I think this is just not a popular topic in Ukraine.

How did Volta One perform from a project management standpoint?

They were very client-oriented. We had communication regularly. They’re precise and to the point, and they always stayed in touch with us during the project. We stayed within the planned budget. The team was professional and personable.

We communicated through email, phone calls, messenger apps, and in-person meetings. The project lasted for almost a year, and we worked in the same city, so it was not difficult to maintain regular communication. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I found their strategic approach most impressive. Volta One didn’t just dive into the project, they did research and analyzed our goals. Their team then made suggestions on how to reach our goals with fewer resources than we’d planned to use. Their strategic expertise distinguishes them from competitors.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Not that I noticed.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I’d recommend working with Volta. I had a positive experience. They’re quite professional in establishing communication and take a unique approach with each client.

I’m the owner of “Lubnymeat” company. LLC “Lubnymeat” is a meat processing enterprise that unites the production capacities of the whole technological chain of meat production.

For what projects/services did your company hire Volta One?

My marketing team and I decided to differentiate our product line - to create the brand of premium meat. This brand was planned to be launched not only in Ukraine but also in some European and Asian countries. It was necessary to develop and produce all types of branding elements - from business card to website.

What were your goals for this project?

It was necessary to develop brand and supporting brand elements that would display and transmeat values of company: actuality, experience, security, craftsmanship, reputation. All identity elements had to be unified to be perceived identically in Europe and in Asia.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

My friend suggested me Volta One.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

Naming. During the development period Volta One presented us several names with the supporting mood boards. We decided to choose agency's favorite - Skott Smeat. This naming is cleared off any negative associations that are rounding meat production.

Branding. During the briefing sessions together with Volta’s team we chose the notions with which our brand has to be associated. The notions are “Exclusiveness”, “Leadership”, “Privilege” and “Dynasty”.

After a month we got the logo. The logo combined cow silhouette and silhouette of crown such compound combination clearly communicated the notions discussed before. Whenever the logo was approved Volta supported it with all necessary identity elements - business cards, envelopes, folders etc.

Website. During the final stage of the project agency’s web designers created the website where the brand legend, information about the company and high quality photos of products were exposed.

What was the team composition?

During the production phase creative team consisted of more than 12 professionals but mainly we contacted with project manager and art-director so exact team composition I can not tell.)

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Sure. This project inspired me and my team to work more and better. For the first time we got more orders than usual . Users our website and costumer provided a lot positive feedback

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

I'm most happy about project management and our communication with the team. Their daily communication is highly impressive. They answer me at any hour, even after the workday is over. They rearrange resources and work on big projects without overcharging us—that flexibility is extremely appreciated.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They have a very talented pool of professionals. We’ve been blown away by their professionalism, by their caliber, and by the quality of code their developers are capable of delivering to us. Across the board, they’ve been a pleasure to work alongside. I’ve always found it easy to communicate strategically with their higher-level executives. Our relationship has been a very positive experience.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We didn’t experience any issues with them during the course of the deployment. There may be areas they could improve, but I’m not personally familiar with what those areas might be.

What challenge were you trying to address with Volta One?

We reached out to Volta One to help with branding.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Volta One created our entire branding, from our company’s name to the brand persona. Finding a name was a challenge at the start, but they got it right. They moved into the design stage and created a logo and brand identity. The team then went on to the packaging and website development. Just recently, they created a distribution presentation for our partners. 

What is the team composition?

They have a dedicated account manager for each part of the project, including design and branding, along with a designer and a project manager. I believe there have been more than five people involved. 

How did you come to work with Volta One?

I asked one of my team members to handle the research and analysis. We shortlisted and interviewed a few branding companies, Volta One being one of them. I appreciated their transparency and professionalism. They told us they wouldn’t work on something they didn’t believe in, and they really believed in our vision. They saw it as building a house, and they wanted to see it completed. That showed me that they’d get creative.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Volta One around September 2018, and we’re currently on phase two of the project. We paused the project for a bit, but that was due to us.

We’re on the last stage of development now, and the website should be live by the end of December.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Volta One is very creative, and they know how to play with colors. When it comes to communication and branding guidelines, they know what they’re doing. Building a brand involves communicating the image that customers will have in mind when thinking about a brand. This is something Volta One is really good at. My team and I have been really impressed by their work, and so are the potential customers that we’ve shared it with. They love the colors they chose; they’re all unique, creative, and easy to digest.

Volta One has gone the extra mile in coming up with ideas and recommending things I wasn’t even aware of. This project hasn’t been just about creating a logo and a name; there’s more to it.

How did Volta One perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been very professional. They stick to the time plan. I can’t give them any bad feedback when it comes to project management. I’m able to contact everyone on their team so that we can share the same vision and know what the next step is. Communication is one of the best things about Volta One.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Volta One feels like they’re part of our company, rather than just working for us. They want to do the best of the best, and they’re responsive. This has been a one-year project, not just a couple of weeks, and there have been changes made. Everything’s been good so far in terms of communication and services, and I can’t complain. 

They understand our vision and do really good work. I’ve never seen something like their work. For the recent distribution presentation that they created, I was really impressed with how they played with the pictures and the text.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I wish them all the best. We have plans to expand globally, so I want to see them present all over Europe. I’ve suggested this to the owner of the company. We could use a strategic partner in each territory, since they’re culturally different and require different approaches. Volta One is a good strategic partner, and we’ll use them again and again. 

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Clients should be as informative as possible with Volta One about their vision and plan. The more we share our vision—how we see ourselves, how we want the product to be, and how we want customers to feel about the brand—the quicker they can come up with good results.

I’m the CEO of kiddo.com.ua. kiddo.com.ua was the online store that sells products for kids and parents. Starting of 2017 it does not functioning because of financial problems, however, me and my partner want to restart this business again.

1. To create the naming for brand that supposed to provide kids and parents with family products. 2. To create the playful identity for the brand 3. To develop the e-commerce platform for the new brand.

My business partner had worked with owners of Volta One previously. We send our brief to Volta One and several other agencies but the offer of Volta agency was the most interesting for us since they optimized expenditures on the project.

My team gave them our requirements - the count of pages that we wanted to have, budget and the timeline of project. Volta team, as mentioned before, took our budget and optimized the spendings on site. Over 4 months, they created naming and identity for our Kiddo project. Also, they designed and developed e-commerce platform for it.

On the different stages of the project were engaged different professionals. Team that was working on Kiddo project consisted around 10 people. Mainly our team was contacting Volta's project manager and art-director.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Volta One helped us effectively communicate our message for the first time. For the first two months we got over 5000 orders which is not bad for new business. Users have provided a lot positive feedback regarding its overall design and user friendly features as well.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We are grateful to Roman, the main project manager of our project. With their help, all stages of the project were absolutely clear.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their creative team produced powerful naming for the brand which according the testing period showed good high retention rates. Also, they designed and developed e-commerce platform for it that excellently works on different devices.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The only thing that I would like to improve if the quality of online communication with the customer.

The new website needed to meet modern web design guides for speed, adaptiveness, usability, and functionality.

How did you select this vendor?

We'd worked with Volta One before and had a good experience, so we invited them to bid on this new project. We liked their offer the most, so we hired them. 

Describe the project in detail.

First, we met several times in Volta’s office to discuss the website's content, functionality, and concept. Within several weeks, Volta’s team sent us mockups of the first few pages and general wireframing for the site. Once we approved it, they started to develop the new website in detail, creating more than 35 unique pages each with its own functionality. The website is mobile friendly and has a multi-page structure with all the information about our association's public activities and economical and legal situation in the industry.

What was the team composition?

Our team consisted of 10 people: a project and account managers, a UX designer, two graphic designers, a copywriter, one front- and two backend developers, and a QA specialist.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Members and partners of our association are satisfied with the website, saying that it's beautiful and outstanding.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We mainly communicated with the project manager, using Zoom and Slack. They had no problem integrating into our Slack channels, and they always responded immediately to any questions or concerns.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Volta One has strong budgetary abilities; the cost of their services is always in line with the quoted price. Despite performing work outside of the scope, they only charged us for the amount they originally proposed. They’re responsible, reliable, and deliver quality results.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The work process was excellently timed. We were satisfied with their work, and our new website has gotten several UX/UI design awards.

We previously collaborated with Volta One companies for a mobile HIV test app project. And after a successful case, they decided to continue cooperation.

After a detailed brief, on which the team specified the main tasks and goals of our organization and a specific site, work began. Prototypes of pages and a site map were developed, which we modified and agreed. Content for each page was added taking into account search engine optimization and the intended design.

Each stage of the project was controlled by the project manager. A team of qualified designers, programmers and layout designers was involved in the development and implementation of the site.

Today, the developed site is a key place for posting online information about our organization. Every month we attract thousands of traffic, the quality of which has grown significantly after the release of the updated design
