VMJ Software has developed a website for my company. At the beginning of the project, we discussed the project's features and the landing pages; we wanted the site to be user-friendly. Their team also integrated a tool that allows us to obtain contact information from our users so we can contact them. They uploaded a test website, which we approved before finalizing it. Their team also developed another two personal websites for me.

I've worked with five teammates from VMJ Software, including a business development teammate, a programmer, and several customer support teammates. 

How did you come to work with VMJ Software?

I found VMJ Software by searching online — I called their agent in Egypt to get information about their work, mentality, and commitments. Once I was satisfied, I hired them. 

How much have you invested with them?

I believe I've invested around $5,000–$6,000 CAD (approximately $3,900–$4,700 USD). 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership began in July 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Although our digital marketing hasn't started, so I can't speak to the number of site visitors it brings in. However, everyone who has seen the website has been impressed. I plan to continue the partnership because they provide good quality work for a reasonable price. 

How did VMJ Software perform from a project management standpoint?

We have virtual meetings with VMJ Software through Zoom and other platforms because they're located in India, and we're in Canada. We also communicated through email and phone calls. Their project management is almost perfect — they send me automatic reminders and follow up quickly. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

VMJ Software's prices are good, their quality of work is high, and their delivery times are reasonable — they fit our needs.

They have nothing to improve.

I'd recommend hiring VMJ Software because they follow up regularly and keep the partnership flowing smoothly.

We want to develop online consultations and help clinicians & patients so we thought that Pharmaceutra would be that platform. For pharmaceutra website development, we have hired VMJ Software Pvt Ltd company. VMJ team developed pharmaceutra website in the Laravel platform.

We got to know about this company from internal references, and the main deciding factor was the documentation including wireframes/flow of website/cost estimation sheet provided by the company in against of our need for the project.

The main scope of the work was to create a website where patients can directly connect with doctors and have discussions regarding their problems and also it can sell pharmacy related items. So we decided to start the project and take it forward in three phases.

The delivery was satisfactory and on time according to the decided milestones. The technology used for developing the platform was Laravel with HTML/HTML5

A team of 5 people worked dedicatedly for my project. We were directly in contact with the project manager, while at development side, there were 2 laravel developers, a graphic designer and a frontend developer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We recently launched our website, and the response on the website is really good as the working of the website is really smooth and dynamic also we have received certain positive reviews regarding the look and feel of the website.

We used to have weekly meetings on skype with their project manager, in which we used to discuss on the progress of the development process according to the decided timeline and also we used to discuss on the queries by the developer side which were listed by them on the trello board beside the brief of the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

There are certain things that impressed me and my team a lot, firstly, The communication from their end was on time, which was impressive in the workflow. Then the delivery of the website was done on time and the back-end of the website was built in such a way that the admin can easily use that without having any sort of technical knowledge.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No such specific area there should be a need for improvement. But I will say keep continuing like this support.

VMJ Software were hired to develop a brand new website from scratch

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Project was floated in freelance portal. I had several discussions with other suppliers, We had few meetings where requirements were discussed and agreed upon. VMJ software drafted and shared a proposal that we worked on and agreed . I had one point of contact (Jai Khetani) who always responded without moaning!

We conducted a kick-off meeting where we discussed our main objectives. In order to accomplish our business objectives, the scope of the project altered several times from our first contract. The ultimate scope was as follows: To create an educational WooCommerce enabled website for doctors in various grades including consultants, To enable video information to stream without interruption. A user experience that is smooth. We utilised the Wordpress platform.

A dedicated team, led by Mr Jai was allocated from the very first day. Ridhi and Roni were other team members that worked regularly and were in touch.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Website is now live. On that end, everything is running smoothly, and I'm pleased with the outcomes. The website development made the improvements I wanted, and it's operating perfectly now. I intend to collaborate with them on new features in the future.

The VMJ Team adjusted to my needs. We collaborated through whatsapp, emails, and goals, challenges, and other details were shared with the entire team. We had regular virtual video meetings to discuss progress and brainstorm ideas. If scope of the project or requirements changed or needed to be modified due to plug ins, the team always fulfilled deliverables and agreed on dates up front.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I felt that the team worked hard on a project that required understanding of the overseas market/people/users. I felt that the VMJ software team catered to my needs and respected my wishes. They had the motto of "customer first" and found a solution to problems that arose during the work. This is common and the team showed flexibility to adjust to the needs to complete project.

Time zone difference was a limiting factor but was handled proficiently and as the project developed, team got used to "late night feed back from myself" and by the time, I woke up in the morning, changes requested were already in place! Thank you to Jay and the Wordpress developer, Riddhi, for helping the process run smoothly.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I dont think so. If I were to suggest anything, I Would only say that sometimes its useful to understand needs early on, to avoid backtracking. I did not have any issues but I feel that team may have worked little more than what was needed (Ie they did extra work which could be avoided). VMJ team is fantastic. As a start-up during the Covid-19 pandemic, we first looked for web-developers in South Africa and obtained quotations which were higher than our budget. Having worked in large corporates who outsourced their IT function to India. I obtained quotations and held meetings with a number of companies and decided on VMJ.

They were price competitive and in my first few interactions I could sense that they always put the customer first!

We had a kick-off meeting describing our basic goals. The scope of the project changed numerous times from our first engagement in order to meet our business goals. The final scope was: To Create a website that allows for both Retail and Wholesale Sales. To allow video content to stream seamlessly. A seamless user experience. We used a Magento system.

A New Business Executive, a web-developer, a graphic designer and a Senior Business Partner.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

VMJ have exceeded my expectations in all regards. They could be regarded as my own in-house IT Team. They have guided me through the process and are always solution driven. I am not from an IT background and I used their expertise to guide my decisions.

They worked well with other service providers eg. hosting company and couriers and would ensure that the deliverable was completed in the agreed time frame.

The VMJ Team will adapt to the style of the client. We worked through a Skype Group and Deadlines, Issues etc. were communicated to the entire Team. If the need arose we would schedule a Video call. The team has always met deliverables and agreed with timelines upfront when the scope was discussed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Putting the client first and their determination to find a solution for every issue experienced, even when the issue was from another one of my companies service providers. Thank you to Jay Khetani and Parth Magento developer for making the process seamless.
