Virtual Nomad (VNcent) ran a discovery sprint for our product and translated our input into a practical documentation and design package. They conducted stakeholder interviews, clarified goals and constraints, mapped the main user journeys, and defined what the MVP should include. Key deliverables were a Vision & Scope document, a prioritized MVP feature set, structured requirements/user stories with acceptance criteria, and clickable UX/UI mockups.

They  helped us get from “we have an idea” to a concrete MVP blueprint in days, not weeks, and it saved us both time and budget. We ended the engagement with clear decisions, a prioritized feature set, and mockups that made internal reviews and next-step planning much easier.

To run an early-stage discovery and documentation sprint for Rankforge and deliver a Vision & Scope package that turned an initial idea into a build-ready product direction, aligned stakeholders, and defined what the MVP should (and should not) include. As a result, Rankforge received a set of artefacts:

• Vision & Scope document with product goals, target users, core value proposition, MVP boundaries, assumptions/constraints, and success criteria
• Key use cases describing how customers will use RankForge end-to-end
• MVP feature list and priorities (what to build first vs later)
• Stakeholder alignment notes capturing decisions and open questions
• High-level implementation roadmap outlining next steps and phases from discovery into delivery

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project gave us an agreed Vision & Scope that clearly defined what RankForge’s MVP is (and isn’t), who it’s for, and what the top priorities are. With that in place, we were able to move straight into estimation and delivery planning, reduce open questions and rework risk, and start development with a clear, shared blueprint saving time and budget compared to a longer, less structured discovery process.

Project management was smooth and well-organized, and everything was delivered on time. They were quick to respond, flexible with changes, and proactive when we needed input.

The scope was to produce comprehensive requirements docs for the product we were planning to release, and complement it with a clickable mockup to speed up the entire development process. As a result we got a set of docs: Product Scope & Vision that included both functional and non-functional requirements, limits and asummptions.  User Stories elaborated from that Scope & Vision Clickable UI mockup built on React RAG-ready database with all the artifacts that we use as a project knowledgebase

They saved us time and budget for the initial phase. In just a bit over a week we had the requirements in place and UI mockups done. A huge help to our product and dev team in terms of the speed and quality standrds of delivery

I’m the head of IT, test, and QA at a pharma health organization.

What challenge were you trying to address with Virtual Nomad?

We needed help with patient recruitment and clinical trials. We had an internal development team, but we needed support.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Virtual Nomad has helped us develop a custom software solution that allows pharma companies to speed up their drug development. We initially helped them to identify the patients for the clinical trials and delivered them a lot of statistics about our hospital network and patients. They’ve provided testing and development services; 90% of the resources do testing and 10% do the development.

We have a vast distributed search engine in many hospitals worldwide. It’s a distributed cloud solution that allows us to access real-time patient data from many hospitals.

Additionally, Virtual Nomad is responsible for release management; they control the build before going to the release. The test services are broad. 

What is the team composition?

Currently, we have one senior JavaScript software developer and three testers.

I wasn’t at the company when they were hired.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2010, and our relationship is ongoing.

The learning curve has been long, but we appreciate the team’s experience. They’ve been with us for many years, and we’re happy with them.

How did Virtual Nomad perform from a project management standpoint?

We have daily meetings, so we know what’s happening on a daily basis. In general, communication is excellent. They discuss all issues with us, and we use email and Jira for project management.
