The work focused on identifying potential risks through reconnaissance and analysis without attempting to actively exploit any vulnerabilities. Both automated tools and manual review were used to evaluate the site against common security standards and best practices. Testing was limited to publicly accessible components, with no access to internal systems or authenticated areas.

Success for this project was measured by the ability to clearly identify and prioritize security risks, resulting in three distinct findings across high, medium, and low severity levels. Each issue was paired with straightforward, actionable guidance to make remediation as efficient as possible. The assessment also provides a useful baseline for future testing, helping the organization track improvements over time while reducing overall exposure to common web-based threats.

For our clients, ViperByte conducts both external and internal penetration testing to evaluate network, infrastructure, and system vulnerabilities. They simulate real-world attack scenarios to determine how an attacker could potentially gain access to systems, escalate privileges, or move laterally within an environment. In some engagements, they also perform social engineering assessments to test employee awareness and the effectiveness of security training.

The key deliverables ViperByte provides to our clients include detailed penetration testing reports that document discovered vulnerabilities, risk severity levels, proof-of-concept findings, and clear technical explanations of each issue. Their reports also include prioritized remediation recommendations that allow our team and the client to efficiently address any weaknesses identified during testing.
