We’re a property management software that provides tools that help manage tenants, collect rent, send announcements, and handle maintenance requests.

What challenge were you trying to address with SB Develops?

They developed an application and a cloud-based dashboard for properties to manage their tenants.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They delivered an iOS and Android application, plus a website for the dashboard. The site (involving a landing page plus the dashboard) helps capture leads for us and manages tenants for properties.

After we initiated the project, they delivered wireframes and mockups using Adobe XP. Their representatives sat down with us on Zoom to discuss our preferred changes. Then, we moved into app development. They created the backend first, including structuring the database and testing it. Using Test Flight, we identified any bugs/issues or UX/UI fixes we wanted to implement. We’re still working with them now on later features.

What is the team composition?

I work with four people consistently, and other people have been brought on when we needed specific items, like a logo.

How did you come to work with SB Develops?

A friend recommended them to us, and they were fast to respond when we explained the idea. He'd previously worked with them. What attracted me to them the most was that I liked their previous work. It had creative UX/UI.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $50,000­-$100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since January 2020. The first version of the app launched in the app store around December 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re a property management service so we process a lot of payments. Their app has not crashed once or had a single issue processing payments. It’s been very successful. They’ve increased our client base by a significant amount. Our revenue has also grown by a significant margin.

How did SB Develops perform from a project management standpoint?

We used Microsoft Teams and Monday.com for project management. It helped us stay up to date with tasks being worked on. They communicated often, keeping me involved in the process. They didn’t disappear while they worked like the other companies I’ve worked with have done.

Our single point of contact made it simple and prevented miscommunications. This person had education in both the computer science and business sides, so they understood exactly what we wanted. We also received weekly emails with what was accomplished that week.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were great at responding and managing the project. Their pricing was also great. They showed their passion for our business. Other companies had come to me with deals requiring me to pay more to get more, but these people just really love what they do, and they portrayed that in their conversations before signing the contract. They were spending time and investing in the project before they even signed. That’s what made us choose them. Additionally, their UX/UI dominates what other companies in our industry have. From a design and functionality perspective, we’re years ahead of the competition.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing I can think of. Everything was great.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be direct. That was very effective for us as we were finalizing the project. There was no confusion over what we wanted or what they could provide. Let them take charge and lead the project. It’s great for a new company like us, having someone in an advisory role.

We provide a cloud based platform where customers are able to rent a stroller through their mobile device. I am the CEO and the owner of Cuddle Lock.

For what projects/services did your company hire SB Develops, and what were your goals?

We hired SB Develops to create a cross-platform application that allows our customers to rent strollers using our mobile application. Our mobile application is easy to use. Users scan the QR code on the locking device to begin your rental period.

The app will walk them through how to bring it back to the designated station and how to properly lock it back up. The goal of this project was to create a user-friendly application that will help get rid of the old fashion methods of renting strollers.

How did you select SB Develops and what were the deciding factors?

We selected SB Develops based on their past work and great reputation with other businesses. After connecting with them we quickly noticed the professionalism and communication they provided which made them stand out from other development firms.

After telling them what we were looking for they provided very useful suggestion to how we can improve the app and gave us a very reasonable price much lower then any other companies had previously spoken to. Overall what made them standout was their quality of work, communication skills, management methods, and the personalized experience.

They designed and developed a cross-platform application that allows users to rent strollers using our app. They first provided detailed wireframes and charts describing the product and the timeline.

Next they developed the frontend and communicated with us to ensure we were satisfied with the design. After the UI/UX they started developing the software. Last but not least they connected with us to fix all concerns we had. During the whole process they communicated with us and kept us in the loop on everything that was being built.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

There were 4 people in the working on our project, including a project manager, 2 senior developers, and a designer. Other resources were used depending on the project needs.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

They were able to finish the project earlier then expected which gave us a great advantage. Due to the early release we were able to contact all of our stroller locations and set times to go install the software that was built.

Our goal was to start installment before the end of 2020 which is exactly what was achieved. SB Develops and their team performed amazing and exceeded our expectations. We will continue working with them on future project and they will be in charge of maintenance of the software.

Their communication and project management was excellent which sped up the development process. Their work was another very impressive component of their company. They created the perfect app that we were looking for an along the lines contributed ideas that in return improved our software.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, overall everything was AMAZING!

We are a company that manufactures, sells, and operates stroller rentals for shopping centers, amusement parks, zoos/aquariums, and etc worldwide. I am the director of marketing & business development.

We were recommended SB Develops by a fellow business associate. They were very satisfied with the service quality of work and excellent communication. After seeing their work and their professionalism we were confident that they would deliver the perfect product.

The goal of this project was to create a beautiful user-friendly landing page that will help our clients stay informed while helping us generate leads. The first thing we did was brainstorming ideas of what we are looking for. Then market research was conducted.

Next, they created wireframes which gave us an exact idea of what is going to be built. After the wireframes, they began the development phase and kept us up to date during the full process. Lastly, they fixed any suggested changes and deployed the project. They also continued to follow up to ensure everything is running smoothly.

Two individuals worked on our project. One was in charge of the wireframes and market research, while the other developed the full web application.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Yes, the overall feedback from our clients was very positive. We had an increase in the number of leads generated which in return increased our revenue.

The communication was great. They managed the project using Asana which helps us know what they are working on at all times. They also sent emails to update us on any new features and changes. They were flexible and available to have phone and Zoom meetings at all times. We were very satisfied with the communication tools used.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They did a great job communicating and making the experience personalized and unique. We were also very impressed with their work and design ideas. Something that made them stand out, even more, was their ability to create unique design patterns and ideas. They also provided great ideas that helped improve the website. We felt very comfortable working with them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, overall everything was great and a 10/10 experience.
