Verstiuk Production was responsible for transforming our ready-made script into a compelling animated explainer video. The scope of work included:

• Creating a moodboard to define the visual tone and emotional atmosphere of the video

One of my clients, mFLEX.io, which had just gone through a re-branding, needed an explainer video to convey the benefits of their B2B software solution. mFLEX.io primarily services large multinational corporations that need to distribute HQ-approved digital ads and content around the world to local offices, retailers and resellers. This requires translation and localization while maintaining the brand attributes.

While I managed the design and creation of a new website, sales documentation, etc. I engaged with Verstiuk to develop the explainer video from scratch. We were looking for both a fast turn-around and high quality output - an explainer video which could be used in pre-sales presentations as well as on the website.

The Verstiuk team did a magnificent job of managing the project. Not only did they have a very clear roadmap and process to get us across the finish line, they were also very transparent about the status of the project as well as what to expect in terms of next steps.

They made it very easy for me to review content at every step of the way, were flexible in terms of making adjustments (especially since this was the client's first experience with creating an explainer video, and their messaging was evolving in parallel), and Verstiuk's turn-around time was nothing short of amazing. Verstiuk listens, and then they act. This truly made a potentially complex project simple.

Flawless process, great listening skills, proactive initiative, creative and scripting quality, and transparency. Verstiuk delivered on time and on budget despite some "curve balls" that were thrown their way, and they did so very graciously and efficiently. Plus, they are so nice to work with. It felt like they were part of the team rather than an external vendor.

Based on the project I worked on with Verstiuk, I don't see areas for improvement. I wish all the vendors/partners I engage with were as professional, friendly and proactive as Verstiuk.

Having shown the video to many colleagues in leading industry and government positions, the feedback has been absolutely perfect. The video helped non-technical customers understand its function finally and the technical people can see how it actually works.

We needed a video for our company's annal kick-off meeting that highlighted our achievements from the previous year. Our timeline was short, so we need a team that could quickly turn around a video.

We initially worked with Iryna on the the deal, and the actual work was completed by Sergey. They were both extremely easy to work with and very responsive. Sergey listened to our feedback and turned around edits very quickly.

The video was finished on time and was exactly what we were hoping for.

We run regular webinars to educate our prospects and customers about trends and topics in the energy and energy technology space. These webinars are a key source of engagement with our audience and a significant contributor to the marketing team's revenue goals. We were looking for a production agency to transform our raw speaker footage and slides into engaging and dynamic webinar videos that would help to break down complex topics and convey our messaging in clear and enticing ways.

We got referrals for video production companies from our network. Among the companies that were referred to us, we chose Verstiuk for the quality of their work, compatibility with the team, and their reasonable pricing.

For each webinar (~1 per month) we send over raw speaker videos and slides. Verstiuk uploads one of the raw videos to frame.io and we make comments throughout the video (at the precise timestamps) to define our vision for the final product, suggested edits, and suggested dynamic components. Verstiuk takes all our feedback, asks any clarifying questions, and initiates the video production process. Within a few days we receive the first version of our video for review and feedback. We review and provide feedback on a couple more tweaks.

Verstiuk makes the necessary changes and comes back with the final version. Sometimes one more iteration is required to get it just right. At the beginning of our engagement with Verstiuk, we worked closely with them to create a template for the webinars, defining things like the intro, outro, how we wanted transitions to look, how the branding should come through in the videos. Once this was set up, the above process was able to be followed for quick asynchronous edits moving forward. Aligning and creating this standard at the beginning allowed us to move quickly and with minimal friction for all future webinars.

We work with a Project Manager to communicate our requirements and timelines. He goes through them in detail (in frame.io), asks any clarifying questions, then passes the job to the designers to complete. We usually go through 2-3 rounds of feedback to make any additional tweaks required and to make sure the video turns out just right.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We've been showing the videos during our regular webinars, and have received strong ratings and response rate to our post-webinar follow-ups, as a result of the quality of the videos being produced and the ability of the videos to break down the complex topics we discuss. From each webinar we generate calls with prospects and opportunities.

The Project and Account Managers are always extremely responsive and fast, and work hard to address our feedback down to the very last detail. We use slack to communicate, and frame.io to provide direction on the edits we're looking for.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The efficiency and quality of their work. They are set up to make things as seamless and frictionless as possible for us. Also the speed at which they work - we threw many tight timelines at them and they were able to meet them every time.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

In the future it'd be great to see them suggest some of their own creative improvements or ideas, to take the edits to the next level.

We worked with a primary project manager, and always had real-time access to the rest of the group. The feedback process was encouraged, and any/all requests were quickly discussed and implemented.

We showed the videos to potential investors, potential clients, and current climates and the response was overwhelmingly positive. It's changed the way we approach our sales strategy because we are able to make the entire process much less demanding due to the impact of this video.

They took the time to understand our business, our offerings and who the customer was. They didn't micromanage the budget, if they felt something was needed (or I had a request outside the original ask), they just did it. They were focused on success, no matter what. They had a great attitude and were true professionals the entire time.. I can't recommend them enough.

I think they did everything right, but would be nice to have more access to voice over artists as that was a bit limited.

I'm a Content Writer at MarineTraffic, and my team and I wanted to create a video to use as a promo for our new solution regarding fleet operations and management.

MarineTraffic is the world's most complete ship tracking and maritime analytics platform, and we hired Verstiuk to help us create 2 nice short videos including content that will help us explain and demonstrate what our platform and specific solutions built for our users can do.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We looked for Video Production Companies in Greece and in Europe mainly as remote work now facilitates this, and we decided on this vendor based on final due dates and time of deliverables, cost and responsiveness to the request.

We first shared our storyboards, then had a meeting altogether, discussed our needs, and then moved on with the visuals, colours and anything we needed to provide the vendor with.

They came back with the first drafts, we checked and reviewed the illustrations, had another meeting (virtual) and reshared some details, then kept an online communication to make sure all was agreed upon, and we had the chance to send our comments and edits several times throughout the project.

Then the video scripts were sent and we were asked to choose over voiceovers, the sound was added, colours and the final draft was ready for us to review. More comments were added, and then we also requested some subtitles - in English and in Greek - to be added, and the final videos were ready within a very timely timeframe. All files were sent to us, and our collaboration was complete.

Initially and sometimes after that, we worked with the Account Manager to set due dates and costs, as well as discuss major changes after the project had begun, and mainly we collaborated and communicated mostly with the Project Manager.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Anyone who has watched the video (Fleet Operations) has liked or loved it. We are happy we now have a clear, easy to understand visual type of content to share with our users - and which will bring us more interesting discussions with customers.

Very organised and timeline oriented, they stick to the dates they say the project will be based on, and the communication was mainly through emails. Sometimes, calls were also scheduled to help us sync over project details. I found their deliverables always ready on time and as agreed.

They were very open to discussing with us details even after the project started and when we needed extra help with subtitles and voiceovers, they also delivered promptly.

We needed a few meetings to clarify details but any time that was needed, they reached out first we did, so all good.

Verstiuk worked faster than expected, and the results were amazing and incredible — we had plenty of views and impressions. Overall, we were pleased with Verstiuk’s work. 

How did Verstiuk Production perform from a project management standpoint?

Verstiuk resources were highly professional, and I was amazed at how fast they worked without compromising quality. Moreover, their attitude was amazing; they were open to receiving feedback, and our back and forths were quick. Whenever we asked them to change something, they worked on it quickly. To communicate, we used emails. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They worked like a true partner for us. I could get on the phone and ask them if my request was reasonable, and I could rely on them to deliver quickly and with high quality. Once they committed to the project, they were truly into it — it was impressive.

I am the CEO of an independent software vendor based in Australia, but with a development team in Australia and the Ukraine. Our product is a revolutionary digital clinical assistant and dynamic documentation tool for use by medics in the prehospital space.

For what projects/services did your company hire Verstiuk Production, and what were your goals?

We wanted to help potential customers understand how our product was different from their current tool, and why it offers so many more benefits. We decided on a 90 second 2D animated explainer video.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I researched on the internet the types of videos and a lot of suppliers. I read supplier reviews, their websites and looked at examples of their work. I reached out to Verstiuk because of their good reviews and the quality of the videos on their website.

I also expected that, being based in the Ukraine, they would be cost competitive. Verstiuk were very responsive and helpful during the initial discussions, added value during the discussions and were cost competitive. So we signed them up.

We had prepared a draft script with ideas for the visuals. Verstiuk reviewed the script and made some edits to improve it. We gave them our very basic brand guidelines, a 10 minute walkthrough of our product and they proceeded to the storyboard. For a few scenes they storyboarded alternatives in addition to our original ideas, and theirs were much better.

For the other scenes they took our idea and created great visuals. They really nailed our software. Two revisions of the storyboard and we were onto the illustrations.

Again, two minor revisions based on comments I wrote in frame.io and we proceeded to animation. I valued that I could write general comments and they then implemented them, in addition to the specific comments. By the time we were at animations there were no revisions.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

Dmytro was our project manager. His communication in written English was great - friendly, comprehensive and clear. Nothing was a problem and he always gave me alternative solutions to any issues.

Not yet. The video is only just finished.

Communication was via email and comments in frame.io. It was always clear and comprehensive. If any of our comments were unclear, they came back and asked for clarification. Estimations on timing for the next step were always given and kept (or exceeded)
