Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m the chief nursing officer of Village Emergency Center. We’re a free-standing ER company with a group of Emergency Rooms in Houston and its surrounding areas.

For what projects/services did your company hire Versa Creative?

We were looking for a partner to help us with marketing. As a small company, we don’t have enough resources in-house to handle social media, digital marketing, website maintenance, and SEO.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to increase the patient census in all our facilities, as well as help launch new facilities we were opening.

How did you select this vendor?

We searched around and asked other healthcare organizations for recommendations. After interviewing a handful of agencies around Houston, we voted to bring Versa in.

Versa has provided many marketing services including social media management and content recommendations. They’ve also done on-the-ground marketing. Further, they gave us a technical overview of our site and suggested improvements that have made a huge difference in our overall patients/customer census.

What was the team composition?

We’ve worked with a team of creative designers and SEO and analytics experts, as well as with social media managers, videographers, and marketing analysts.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Versa has helped us take our online presence to the top of the standings. Our rankings had taken a bit of a tumble because of an experience with a different company, but Versa helped us build back up. Their advice and direction have exceeded our expectations and positioned us for success.

Our overall census is up 15%, and we’ve seen increased traffic on the website and more patient conversions. They’ve even developed facility-specific strategies that doubled a patient census.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We have no complaints in terms of workflow. Versa’s team has been very responsive to our needs and kept us updated on the newest industry techniques.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We’ve been blown away by their results and ability to collaborate with us. They’re available when we need them and are always recommending marketing channels to reach new customers.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We’re satisfied with Versa and have nothing to say at the moment.

I’m the VP of Sales and Marketing for EXILE Technologies, an electronic pre-press company that serves the screen printing and corrugated printing markets.

We needed to develop a stronger online presence and interact more with existing and prospective companies via social media.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to modernize our advertising methods (trade shows, industry publications) to ensure we were placing ourselves in front of the customer. Boosting our online presence would generate newer and more qualified leads.

How did you select this vendor?

We were looking for a local company with a strong track record that fit our budget. It was also important that we felt comfortable with and confident in their staff. Versa fit the bill exactly.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

First, they simplified and improved our website so it would reach a better position in search engine results. They’ve also focused on SEO and brand awareness, revising our literature, trade show practices, and videos and marketing materials. We work together on producing and publishing blogs and are currently evaluating how valuable PPC campaigns would be.  

What was the team composition?

They have a specialist for every area we want to pursue. Currently, we’re working with a project lead, an SEO specialist, a PPC specialist, a blogger, a photographer, a copywriter, and a graphic designer. Everyone is professional, conscientious, and attentive.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our online presence has skyrocketed, and we rank higher and higher every month for all our keywords. 

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I don’t think we could’ve found a better fit. With monthly meetings and regular communication, Versa remains attentive to our needs and delivers what we need when we need it. We have a small in-house team, and Versa helps us accomplish our goals easily and effectively.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their flexibility and willingness to listen are outstanding. Additionally, they excel at merging their ideas with yours and your needs. They’ve become an authentic part of our business culture and vice versa.

I’m sure there are, but I can’t think of anything specific.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

We are a private equity firm that works closely with physicians and individuals with high net worth. We run, manage, and operate over 60 companies and are well-diversified in healthcare and beyond.

What challenge were you trying to address with Versa Creative?

We’ve had a long-lasting relationship. We initially hired them as an extension of our marketing department.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They worked with us as consultants for years. About two years ago, we made them our full-time marketing team and the only agency we work with. They cover every aspect of marketing for us now, including all our artwork for campaigns, PPC, branding, and major events. The company needed a facelift, so they redesigned our logo, created new brand content and video, and helped with renaming efforts and a new site launch ahead of our 20th anniversary.

A major part of their work with us is to support our annual foundation gala. They provide ideas and strategies for each year’s theme. It’s a very detailed process, and they help with everything from color schemes and logos to marketing and media.

What is the team composition?

We usually work with an account manager, a designer, and a copywriter. The account manager is dedicated to our projects, but the other two team members vary, depending on the task.

How did you come to work with Versa Creative?

They had a relationship with our CEO. We used them for an initial project and they did a good job, so we decided to work with them regularly. They always do a professional job and their quality is amazing.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $1 million altogether.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in May 2010 and the work is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They did an amazing job and the quality of their work brought patients to this facility and hospital. The video played for 1,600 people at one of the biggest black-tie events in Houston. It explained our timeline and our identity perfectly. We were thoroughly impressed with the rebranding effort.

How did Versa Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re great managers. We work together on a project-by-project basis and meet once a month to go over what they’ve done and what will happen next. They give us detailed accounts of time spent and services provided. Then, we have feedback sessions at the end of each project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The relationship is great and working with them is a tremendous experience. Our projects are very detailed and they do an amazing job keeping everything in order. We’re proud of the work we do together.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their copywriting skills and strategic planning could improve but I’m pleased with the effort they put in.
