Introduce your business and what you do there.

We are a private equity firm that works closely with physicians and individuals with high net worth. We run, manage, and operate over 60 companies and are well-diversified in healthcare and beyond.

What challenge were you trying to address with Versa Creative?

We’ve had a long-lasting relationship. We initially hired them as an extension of our marketing department.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They worked with us as consultants for years. About two years ago, we made them our full-time marketing team and the only agency we work with. They cover every aspect of marketing for us now, including all our artwork for campaigns, PPC, branding, and major events. The company needed a facelift, so they redesigned our logo, created new brand content and video, and helped with renaming efforts and a new site launch ahead of our 20th anniversary.

A major part of their work with us is to support our annual foundation gala. They provide ideas and strategies for each year’s theme. It’s a very detailed process, and they help with everything from color schemes and logos to marketing and media.

What is the team composition?

We usually work with an account manager, a designer, and a copywriter. The account manager is dedicated to our projects, but the other two team members vary, depending on the task.

How did you come to work with Versa Creative?

They had a relationship with our CEO. We used them for an initial project and they did a good job, so we decided to work with them regularly. They always do a professional job and their quality is amazing.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $1 million altogether.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in May 2010 and the work is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They did an amazing job and the quality of their work brought patients to this facility and hospital. The video played for 1,600 people at one of the biggest black-tie events in Houston. It explained our timeline and our identity perfectly. We were thoroughly impressed with the rebranding effort.

How did Versa Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re great managers. We work together on a project-by-project basis and meet once a month to go over what they’ve done and what will happen next. They give us detailed accounts of time spent and services provided. Then, we have feedback sessions at the end of each project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The relationship is great and working with them is a tremendous experience. Our projects are very detailed and they do an amazing job keeping everything in order. We’re proud of the work we do together.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their copywriting skills and strategic planning could improve but I’m pleased with the effort they put in.
