The quality of their graphics and animation was strong, and they were able to adapt their style to suit what I was trying to accomplish. One of the reasons I chose them is that their portfolio showed a wide variety of styles, so they clearly are able to fit their work to the client's style rather than the other way around.

Are there any areas for improvement or something VeracityColab could have done differently?

My project got off to a bit of a rough start. My creative brief clearly stated that the video was meant to be primarily an education piece, but the first draft of the storyboard read purely like a product commercial, with very little expository. Once we hit the reset button, though, the project went very smoothly and I was very happy with the progress.

We gave Veracity a rough script idea, overall messaging direction, and design assets and asked them to ideate and develop an animated explainer video for a new product feature we were launching. Veracity worked with us on a very tight timeline to achieve all milestones throughout the project including a final script, voice-over candidate options and style refinement, storyboarding, and reviews and approval of all visual elements. They met our timeline and were a pleasure to work with!

Our company hired VeracityColab because of their professionalism and their vision with our goal for this project. We wanted to bring our idea to life in a very visual, story-telling way, and Veracity helped do exactly that.

Our Business Manager reviewed many organizations and ultimately settled on Veracity after meeting with their team.

The project included creating a Branding Video of the 2 co-creators of our Professional Development (PD) program. We wanted to capture the audience in an emotional way, and also share the long journey the 2 co-creators took to create the phenomenal teaching program still being used today. This is no easy task, as the 2 co-creators are not the most comfortable being on screen.

The final deliverable was to create a 120 second video to summarize the journey of creating this PD that teachers use and our team continues the legacy for.

We worked directly with many of the Veracity team members. Our first meeting we got to speak with Bob, who is the leader. We had very frequent calls and email communications with Kristina, the project manager, Max, and the production company. They were all fantastic and very easy to work with. They really listened to our vision and all of our notes.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have yet to premiere the video to our team and our audience; however, we are planning to have a launch party and really take it as a celebration of our teams' hard work over the years. This video will live on our new website and the production quality is really going to set it apart from anything we currently have on our website. We believe it will bring in more customers.

In the beginning we had many pre-production calls with the team. We feel that they asked really fantastic questions to really get to know who we are as an organization before even getting to questions about the actual project. We really appreciated this. It created common understanding about the people they will be interviewing during the video. We also had very frequent communication via email throughout the entire process with very clear deadlines, which avoided any confusion.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their personalities really worked well with our team. Not only are they very talented in what they do, but they are also very easy to talk to and easy-going as people. We loved that, because our entire business interfaces with teachers and people every day, and relies on interpersonal communication skills to attract business.

They did a wonderful job, communication was clear, and the type of communication (via email) worked well for us.

I’m the owner of a brand consultancy. Our organization focuses on branding and digital products and content.

What challenge were you trying to address with VeracityColab?

We were building a blockchain cloud storage application for one of our clients and had already developed the brand framework and identity. Our goal with VeracityColab was to create a video that showcased the brand and explained it’s value in the blockchain environment.

We’d already worked with another team to create a series of illustrations, as well as the overall story we wanted, but we wanted to animate those visuals into a video. The plan was to create a 60-second video, as well as additional 30- and 15-second cuts.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

To start, we refined the script and then set up a loose storyboard, which allowed us to see the narrative come to life. We gave them some minimal feedback on that and then created a colored storyboard with our brand's colors and final illustrations. After finalizing the plan, we moved into animation, where we also provided a small amount of feedback.

What is the team composition?

I worked directly with two of their employees, one of whom was a project manager. I provided my feedback to her, and we also worked with their creative director as the project kicked-off.

How did you come to work with VeracityColab?

I’d worked with their team before and really liked their overall approach. I’m an executive creative director, and I come from a writing background, so I’d already drafted a loose script.

We knew that Veracity could refine the story and get it to the length we need. There were also going to be words on the screen for viewers to read, and we didn’t want those parts to be too lengthy either work wasn’t so common.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The video was published on our client’s website, as well as on their YouTube and social media channels. The video has also been used in pre-roll and programmatic marketing efforts.

Our client was thrilled with the video, claiming the story is perfect and unique. The overall process stood of making the video stood out to us as well, especially the space they made for our feedback. Our client was very excited to launch the application.

How did VeracityColab perform from a project management standpoint?

I would give them high marks in this area; they stayed within our original budget and even did a little more work than we expected. We thought there were some more interesting parts of the video that we would like to see and use, and they worked around the holidays in July for us to get it done.

They used Frame to capture feedback on the video, but that was the only tool. Email sufficed for everything else.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were very collaborative and possessed great animation skills. Anyone can create a bunch of illustrations, but Veracity developed motion in a dynamic, immersive way.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’ve already provided this feedback directly to them, as they asked what they could improve, but I said that they could pair the music options with visuals, even if they weren’t finalized or watermarked, as this would help establish the relationship between the two mediums. It’s hard to choose when someone just sends you a music track.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a vision of what you want already set when you reach out to them. It’s not that they can’t craft a vision, but when you already have potential visual assets, VeracityColab is great at taking them and bringing them together in a video.

I’m the product marketing manager at a SaaS property technology (PropTech) company based in the EU.

What challenge were you trying to address with VeracityColab?

We were looking for a suitable partner to help us create videos that matched where we saw ourselves going as a brand. We were working with a different partner before, but we were not convinced about them being able to take us where we wanted to go, so we started looking for a different one.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We worked with VeracityColab to produce animated product videos. As a company, we’re very active in the event speech space, and we do a lot of keynote speeches. Therefore, these videos were created to support those efforts as visual mediums.

The process included an initial discovery meeting for VeracityColab to understand what we were looking for and assess what our collaboration would be like. Then, we had a demo session with their animators and managers so that they could understand our product. Ultimately, they delivered five videos and 15-second social media cuts for four of those videos.

What is the team composition?

Initially, we met with Bob (Client Advisor) to begin our collaboration. Then, we met with the rest of VeracityColab’s team, including Kristina (Project Manager), the project coordinator, and a few animators. Kristina was our main point of contact.

How did you come to work with VeracityColab?

I found VeracityColab online while looking for companies specializing in product marketing videos. I spent a lot of time researching different companies, and we felt that VeracityColab really understood what we wanted. After meeting with their team, we felt confident that they would be able to produce something in line with what we were looking for; they were exactly what we were looking for in terms of skills, expertise, and track record.

We spent approximately $20,000–$25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from April–June 2022. Although our engagement has finished, we would definitely love to work with them again.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The videos produced by VeracityColab were very well received internally; I felt like they absolutely nailed the brief. Whenever we provided them with feedback, they took it earnestly and acted upon it, always achieving what we wanted.

How did VeracityColab perform from a project management standpoint?

I’m based in Europe, so we had a time difference. Still, the time difference was never a challenge for VeracityColab. We managed to work very well, and the time difference made our engagement easier because whenever there were open questions or work needed to be done, we had a day to work on it from both sides. Their team was always prepared and asked us questions when needed, and everything was done in a timely manner.

Additionally, VeracityColab offered a high level of communication and transparency. I had worked with other providers before where we had language barriers, or communicating with them was just difficult. However, VeracityColab’s communication was flawless, making feedback cycles quick and seamless, ultimately achieving excellent results.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Working with VeracityColab, I always felt like I was their only client. Other companies make their clients feel lost in their priority list. However, VeracityColab’s level of attentiveness made an impression on me.

Ensure that you have the internal support needed to move at the speed at which VeracityColab moves. If you have everything prepared and ready to go on your end, you’ll see how quickly they turn things around.

I’m the CEO and founder of our company. Our organization is the world’s most deeply connected spreadsheet firm, and we’re in the collaboration software space.

What business challenge or opportunity were you trying to address?

We wanted to make a quick and esthetically pleasing video that could be used for a few different sites, including Product Hunt and Hacker News. We also wanted the video to be high-energy and not be difficult to edit for audiences.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We wanted to have a quick and aesthetically pleasing video showing what our company was for an audience that might not have any exposure to us yet. The VeracityColab team did that for us in the form of an animated video. 

What is the team composition?

We had one main point of contact for setting up the project; that person primarily had a sales role. Subsequently, we worked with one project manager, one full-time member, and one outsourced designer and videographer. That outsourced person did the bulk of the work at the instruction of the project manager and the in-house resource.

VeracityColab was referred to me by a friend I trusted. They produced a video for that friend, and it was of high quality. It seemed that type that I’d want for our project, so we hired them.

We received a lot of good feedback from the community on the video itself and how it presented our company to the audience. It was aesthetically pleasing and entertaining while also being full of information that came out of the collaboration between me and the VeracityColab team. 

How did VeracityColab perform from a project management standpoint?

VeracityColab was highly organized and stayed on top of things. I could trust the timelines we set, and that was a great feeling. We generally communicated over emails. I tried to involve our own collaboration tools to make things a bit easier. 

Moreover, the revisions we did were effective. I was hands-on with this project to make sure that it came out just the way we wanted, especially since it was the first video we had. Ultimately, we came out of the project with a reusable video aesthetic that we could apply to future projects. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

VeracityColab was highly collaborative. Since I’d done video design myself internally, it was a joy to work with a team that was so effective at taking our feedback and efficient at turning it into results we could see.

For context, we had done videos before internally; we had a team member who was talented. When we decided to use an external resource for this project, there was concern about them not taking our feedback seriously. Fortunately, we were pleasantly surprised that the team did an incredible job. They paid attention to our requests and delivered them through the video. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

At times, we felt like we were playing a game of telephone from the project manager to the actual designer. The manager was incredibly skillful and fast, but it felt like we were communicating in one direction; our messages were relayed from the manager to the designer, and that added a bit of a delay in the process.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Trust VeracityColab and be at ease. They’re as good as they claim to be. For context, I’ve been naturally a bit skeptical of working with them. However, I’ll be more relaxed and trusting of them as go into any future engagements. Overall, trust their process and feel confident about it. They’ll deliver and you’ll be satisfied.

The process went quite smoothly with VeracityColab controlling the timeline. The client had delays on their end and Veracity always rolled with the punches and still worked to complete any feedback in a timely manner. I was extremely appreciative of their review process and organization throughout the project.

We worked with a project manager and I inputted feedback into the system they used so it was seamless and easy to follow! They always asked questions if they needed clarification and offered a few options to any call out/blocker that came up.

I’m a product marketing manager for a SaaS company in the legal technology space. We sell our software to law firms, corporations, and government entities that require a platform to aid in discovery processes.

What challenge were you trying to address with VeracityColab?

I worked on two different projects with them last year. The main effort was to put together an updated product tour video. VeracityColab had created a product tour video a while ago, but it didn’t include several important feature updates we’d made to our platform. As it was non longer an accurate representation, we went to them to create a new video script and animation plan that appeared polished.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

In our kick-off call, I discussed what I needed, and they asked exploratory questions to further my own understanding and theirs. Afterward, I put together a preliminary storyboard and outline, from which they developed a nicely displayed storyboard and script. We went through a lot of back and forth, leaving comments on parts that were too long or required rewording. I also provided them with GIFs and short video clips of the platform to information the animation. The result was a 2.5–3-minute video.

I primarily worked with Mike (Managing Director), and Kristina (Project Management Director) was our project manager.

I wasn’t involved in this decision, as I joined the marketing team after they were selected.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

This video has really helped us establish our brand and voice, and the voiceover VeracityColab put in really helps personify our otherwise cut-and-dry platform. The video has also been very helpful in sales conversations and marketing.

The second project we worked on was a very short 30-second video of a particular part of our platform. It documented a cool feature we wanted to emphasize. We utilized it in a YouTube ad, and it turned out to be one of our top-performing campaigns on the year.

How did VeracityColab perform from a project management standpoint?

They stick to deadlines and are very communicative. If Mike is out, then Kristina will step in. Someone is always available.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication and willingness to understand our platform has been very nice since it’s a complex platform. They put in a big effort and asked a lot of questions to build their own knowledge base of our work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be helpful to leverage a document system that organized our work. We shared Google Docs to work on the script, but this led to us sifting through different versions. Having a permanent system would help remedy this.  

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You might come in with a specific idea of what you want, but listen to their feedback, as they know what they’re talking about. Certain features don’t always translate well into animation.
