I'm the VP of Prager University. Our company creates five-minute animated educational videos. Along with overseeing specific aspects of production, I handle the sound including dialogue, sound effects, and sweetening. I also built and manage our green screen studio.

What was the scope of their involvement?

After we shoot live footage and send the green screen cut, VeracityColab makes our videos for us. They come up with all the concepts for the animations. Our creative director and executive producer provide notes, and I work with the team on a regular basis in post-production. We review all the sound files they send us. 

 Usually, the first 10–20 seconds of our videos feature a presenter for the introduction, as well as the close and sometimes in between the animated portions. About 75%–85% of the duration is typically animated, with the remainder being a talking head. Frequently, the presenter is featured alongside either text or a visual animation. 

After VeracityColab sends us the finished version for our proofreader's review, our founder watches the videos to make sure everything is to his liking. The team reviews our comments and tightens up anything necessary before sending me a file with the final edit. I upload them to our social media sites where we release all our content.

I communicate directly with our project manager, Kristina (Director of Video Success Management, VeracityColab). She relays all our requests to the animators. I enjoy working with one specific person so we can develop a relationship. She always understands what we want, and we even created a shorthand.

In my experience working with VeracityColab, we've consistently seen positive feedback from our target audience and internal members of our company about the videos that they send over. 

How did VeracityColab perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management has been fantastic. Our main methods of communication are email and Slack. VeracityColab addresses all our requests punctually, and they're usually spot on. The cuts and deliveries are always on time. We never have to send multiple notes about the same animation. They're delightful to work with. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

VeracityColab's attention to detail, innovation, and level of talent distinguish them from the competition. They have produced excellent content for us that has taken our brand to a new level. I also appreciate their punctuality. Releasing an animated video every week relies on a tight post-production schedule and they always nail their deadlines. Honestly, no. There's nothing that I can think of, and if I had any criticisms, I'd tell you. VeracityColab is fantastic.

What challenge were you trying to address with VeracityColab?

We were looking for an easy way to explain our product and OEM partnerships to our customers. We wanted video materials that quickly and concisely demonstrated our product functions and the value of those capabilities to our end users.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They created six videos for us to use on our website and in email campaigns. Our goal was to describe the way our business works with OEM partners and how that benefits our customers. It’s a bit complex as each partnership is unique, so we presented our own initial scripts to VeracityColab and worked with their team to improve them and ensure that the language would be easy for customers to quickly grasp. Once the scripts were ready, they helped us with storyboarding. All of our video content was aimed at the same group of end users, but they tailored each to our specific OEM partners.

There were four or five people during the discovery phase. Once the project was underway, three people worked on it with us. Their director of video success management was our main point of contact.

My employer had done some previous work with Veracity prior to an acquisition. I received feedback that they were creative, collaborative, and provided quality work, so I wanted to work with them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re launching the video campaigns in January 2019, so there aren’t any metrics yet. Our internal team has evaluated them, though, and they felt like the content was clear and the animation looked good. All of the videos also stayed within the 60-second timeframe, which was critical for us. They did a nice job of concisely conveying the information in a way that would hold our audience’s attention.

How did VeracityColab perform from a project management standpoint?

It was great overall. We felt a little deprioritized for a short period of time (due to slower progress on our end with internal approvals), but they picked up the pace to work with our timeline as soon as I brought it to their attention. The amount of responsiveness going forward from there was perfect.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They take a comprehensive approach to understanding their clients. They want to gain familiarity with your business and look for opportunities to engage and collaborate as much as possible. I appreciate how much effort they put into establishing a strong relationship and welcomed any feedback for making it better.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would’ve liked more feedback when we were doing the scripts. We gave them drafts, which they did offer notes on, but the majority of the edits came from our end. I was expecting a bit more collaboration during that stage.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They’re willing to collaborate and understand your business, so allow them to do that. Let them ask questions and get the information they need in order to make good suggestions on scripting and storyboarding. They’re willing to put in the work if given the opportunity.

We are a headwear manufacturer. I am the marketing designer, and am involved in both graphic design and with our marketing team.

What challenge were you trying to address with VeracityColab?

Our users were creating videos with our products, but they didn’t match the brand image we wanted to project. Our products have a lot of features and technologies included in them, and we wanted to highlight those qualities in a straightforward, modern way. We hired VeracityColab to create a series of four videos that our partners could leverage to explain our product line.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The videos were done completely in 3D animation, and each video covered a different product. They did a storyboard for each that explained unique features and how they planned to visualize the content. It was an iterative creative process. We provided them with all the features and our ideas, and they made revisions to make the videos more consistent with the project’s overall vision.

There were two main points of contact, but the total team was probably between two and four.

We did a Google search for potential agencies, and considered several options. Veracity did a good job with their past videos, so we decided to contact them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since the project just finished, we haven’t shared the videos with our clients yet. Though we don’t have any hard statistics, the quality is fantastic. They put a lot of thought into each video, and considered everything we asked for with sensitivity. The videos are well-planned and beautifully crafted to achieve our goals.

We didn’t want the videos to seem too branded, but they needed to be consistent. They’re modern and informational, the quality is excellent, and the transitions are very smooth. I think they did the best possible job with everything we threw at them.

How did VeracityColab perform from a project management standpoint?

They are one of the best agencies we’ve worked with in terms of communication, timeliness, and professionalism. They gave us friendly reminders whenever we needed to provide content or other requirements, and working with them was a very enjoyable experience.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve worked with several agencies, most of which didn’t put in the complete effort that Veracity does. Based on this project, they put a lot of thought into their work. Their planning and the time they put in showed in the first presentation they gave.

During the process, even if we got behind or forgot to provide them with things, they never got frustrated with us and were always very patient and professional. The whole project was very positive.

I wish I could think of something they could improve, but nothing comes to mind.

Don’t be afraid of being too communicative. They’re very receptive, and are good at understanding what it is you hope to accomplish.

What was the scope of their involvement?

VeracityColab has been working with us to develop video-style marketing collateral for several advertising channels. The purpose is to drive awareness surrounding new marketing programs. They’ve been an integral resource throughout each video production process. Before filming and editing, they collaborate with us to script and storyboard each project.

The projects they’ve completed for us thus far involve a mix of animation and live-action filmmaking. For example, some videos feature still images that transition into live-action sequences. Our most recent project with them involved hiring an actor for an on-location video shoot. They’ve also produced concise videos for use on social media.

The VeracityColab team is working to provide a solution for one of our long outstanding challenges. From a sales perspective, traditional PowerPoint presentations are no longer exciting. Holding discussions with customers while flipping through one-dimensional slides fails to represent the fluidity of our products adequately. VeracityColab suggested building a digital video tool to lead presentations while facilitating customer interaction. They’re currently developing that product, and we’re excited to see how it turns out.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve held over 200 customer-facing events since engaging with VeracityColab, and each one has featured something they’ve produced for us. Our product line is still growing, but we can probably attribute $500,000 in revenue from those events. Specifically, they helped us create a unique product workflow video. Tailored to a particular industry, the video assigns viewers the perspective of an airplane passenger. We’ve since launched that video globally, and it’s been exceptionally well-received.

I can’t say enough positive things about their approach to project management. They’re phenomenal at setting up realistic timelines, working toward deadlines, and following up with me enough so that I can keep my team informed.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their attitude and professionalism makes them a fun team to work with. They’re nice people, but they’re also extremely skilled. Whenever we hit a roadblock, they don’t hesitate to brainstorm viable solutions.

While they do offer stratified pricing, I’d like to see them tighten up the ranges between each option.

Come to the project with prepared goals in mind. Also, don’t put VeracityColab in a box. They can bring visions to life, so it’s foolish to limit their possibilities. Work with them with as a team and they’ll produce excellent results.

I work in global marketing for Thermo Fisher Scientific. We're a large life science supplier. My team markets a premium PCR reagent as well as the thermal cycler instrument.

I was launching a new instrument and looking to do something different than a typical launch. As a low end instrument, it was tricky to pull off something bigger and bolder while remaining within the fit of the entire portfolio.

VeracityColab created a 37 second video. They led the project all the way from concept to final polishing and delivering various versions of the final file. They worked on scripting and outlining. They created the piece using CAD files and other technologies. We just started another video with them that's in the very early stages.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The instrument launch video is unlike any that we've had for my product line. It's won us attention and space in meetings that we don't always get. PCR is not the most exciting thing the company sells. So in addition to trying to get our customers attention, we're always trying to get the attention of the sales team. This video really grabbed their attention. We were able to secure space at a sales meeting just to play this video. It's received a substantial amount of organic views on our website and on YouTube. It also does well in paid ads.

How did VeracityColab perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team is excellent. We have an internal agency here, but VeracityColab blows that away. They have great creative people with purpose and artistic ability. They take ownership of the project to make it better than the original concept. They're personable on top of being highly talented. I really appreciate the way they describe exactly how they're doing something or why they're thinking a certain way. It’s a combination of being humble while always delivering a high-quality experience.

A unique attribute of VeracityColab is their cutting edge technology. They make suggestions for different types of formats, which I haven't found from other companies.

I can't think of anything. I've been really pleased with the service and the product. Even though they were a little more expensive, they deliver a lot of value because the final product is off-the-charts better than others.

Have a strong idea of your goal and strategy, but be open to letting them enhance the execution. Let them have input on the concept. They have many great ideas.

I reached put to VeracityColab regarding a new product we launched earlier this year in February 2018. It was innovative and groundbreaking in the market. We wanted to use video to create additional awareness and intrigue to keep the momentum and interest going almost a year later. 

Our idea was to create three short videos that work both alone, but also in a series. Each one is approximately 15 seconds long and speaks to one of the enzyme's main features; the speed, robustness, and the fact that it's been engineered. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had initial conversations with two people. We laid out our concept via e-mail and had an intake meeting via phone. VeracityColab came back to us a week later to propose three ideas. Rather than pitching them in person, they used a video format because we were too busy to meet in person that week. They walked us through their vision at three different cost levels, from the low end of $35,000 to a $55,000 cost or a $75,000 budget. They provided music samples that would go with each option. 

We knew we wanted 15-second videos. Our idea for the style was music-driven, quick, with minimal speaking and a few motions on the screen rather than a real person. We sketched out our idea to mimic the music video for the song "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" with catchy music and adjectives that repeat throughout. Each video speaks to one of the product's three main attributes as represented by an adjective. We included a musical piece in the background to weave the videos together. Even if users watch them independently, they know to look forward to the next one.

VeracityColab has worked with other departments in our company. We received a recommendation from our colleague. They used to work together exclusively for video development. They came into our office for a team meet-and-greet.

We started working together on this new project about six weeks ago. We began the initial discussions after they wrapped up another department's team video. The project is ongoing.

VeracityColab produces excellent quality work. They can complete many different types of projects. I appreciated the three budget options they gave us at the start. Beyond quick, low-scale videos, they also have wonderful capabilities to produce extremely high-end work. Based on the two videos our team has worked on with VeracityColab, we've seen the full range of their skills. 

Our product reveal video was very technical. It showed the specs and included really cool music in the background. On the other end of the spectrum, we recently completed a marketing program launch video with a theme like an airline safety videos. Our employee served as the actress. They rented props and studio space. It was really creative and showcased our products by sending them down a conveyor belt.

VeracityColab takes feedback well. We communicate a lot of back and forth via email. Our team holds ourselves to very high standards. We want everything to be perfect, and Veracity has met all our demands. They collaborate wonderfully with us to get exactly what we want. In the end, we always end up loving the final product. VeracityColab truly cares about their customers. They're easy to work with and put the client first.  They’re committed to delivering exactly what we need. A couple of times, we haven't heard back from them in about a week and a half. We assume they've been busy working on our project. We recently decided to move forward with one of the concepts, but they haven't responded in a while. It could be due to my travel schedule and their other work. We wanted an advertising platform that enabled credit unions to brand themselves and dealerships to upload inventory. We envisioned the platform as a shopping site for credit union members. Our goals included increased engagement via our website.

The engagement started with a conversation between our team and Charlie (Founder and CEO, VeracityColab). After we explained our ideas for a sleek-looking video, VeracityColabs proposed a procedural video as the deliverable. A procedural video would allow us to brand the content for each credit union in an automated process. Currently, the team has produced the one main 60-second procedural video. They will subsequently deliver several cut-down versions of it with branded content.

We’re now building marketing campaigns for our credit union clients. The campaign will encourage them to upload their brand colors and logo digitally; VeracityColab will then incorporate these designs for each video. We expect to go to market at the end of October 2018.

Some of our beta clients have already adopted the branding. For two clients, VeracityColab delivered one 60-second video and one package of branding videos. The latter includes one 60-second video, one 30-second video, and five 20-second videos for social media. Both credit unions were happy with the outcome.

The video content is state of the art. Although we won’t have complete results until after the launch, we expect this project to break even. That return would exceed our initial expectations for cost. Furthermore, we will look for increased engagement levels after VeracityColab fully implements the marketing campaign.

The team goes above and beyond the call of duty. Their efficient communication and accommodating approach have made the engagement a positive experience. VercacityColab proactively adheres to tight timelines; they’ll interact directly with our clients as needed.

We wanted to create a video to showcase our process and the work we do for an all hands staff meeting. The project required a video producer, so we reached out to VeracityColab.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The video was a visual representation of the consumer benefits we offer and how we hope to manifest those benefits. Production was iterative and took place within a very quick timeline. Our team mapped out a rough storyboard and VeracityColab combined live-action video with end product screens and animated characters to help explain how our services can be used in daily life.

We work with a core group of 4–5 people, including an account manager, two creative leads, and a few other people. There are additional members in the film crew when we shoot footage.

Planning for this project started in October 2016 and shooting started that November. They took time off for the holidays and we unveiled the video at an all hands meeting at the beginning of January 2017.

From a qualitative standpoint, they told our story well and generated a lot of internal excitement. They had a good understanding of our strategic goals and we continue to use the video they produced to reground our staff.

They understood the tight timeline, took direction well, and made us a priority. Whenever we gave feedback, they took it in stride and made creative recommendations. If we requested something that wasn’t possible within the time frame, they offered alternatives that would give us the payoff we wanted. We had a good creative collaboration.

They pay attention to detail and have a knack for catching things the average eye would miss. Their responsiveness and solution-based mindset make them good collaborators.

We provided them with our client's brand direction, and they used that information to create a draft for the video. They produced a one-minute video that included voiceovers, visuals, and stock imagery. They also added a branded bumper to the video to showcase the new logo and tagline we created.

We haven’t rolled out the video yet, so we don’t have metrics to speak to that. As the middle agency in this project, our measure of success is the client’s satisfaction, and they were delighted. They were satisfied with the video and found it to be a natural partnership from their end.

They were great at managing execution and timelines; the deliverables were always on time. I always knew where they were in the process, and we didn’t need to have constant communication. We wanted to create a one-minute video that succinctly articulated our value proposition, what problems our company solves, and why customer service departments should care about us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

VeracityColab created a short, animated video that explains how our product can help customer service departments. We worked closely with them, providing all the key points and concepts we wanted the video to hit. They wrote a script and then we iterated on it until we got the final version. They then created the video, which is in the final phases of development.
