I’m the co-founder and CEO of Macro. We created a product that enables users to completely customize their Zoom interface.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with VeracityColab?

We wanted to create a video that showcased all of our product’s features for its launch. However, we didn’t have the bandwidth or capabilities in house to produce the video.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

After I showed them videos that I wanted to emulate, VeracityColab put my ideas into a script. They asked for feedback and tweaked it. Their team then put together a storyboard. They made tweaks based on our feedback and then created the animations, visuals, transitions, and sounds.

We initially scoped a 45-second video. When the video was done, we realized it had too much content. VeracityColab slowed down the video to create a piece that was closer to one minute.

I worked directly with Mike (Managing Director) and Luke (Executive Producer).

How did you come to work with VeracityColab?

I asked our investors if they knew any video production studios. They gathered recommendations of which VeracityColab was one. I reached out and their team quickly responded and gave us a fair quote compared to others. When we hopped on the phone, their team immediately understood the product and our vision. We felt confident moving forward with them because they were a full production house too.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $12,000 on the project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We engaged them at the end of June 2020, and they delivered the video on July 13th, 2020. We launched the product that Tuesday, July 14th after their team delivered the video.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They took my high-level vision and brought it to reality. The end product speaks for itself. It’s an absolutely incredible video. We were proud to launch with the content.

We had people comment that the video made them want to download the product. We launched in two places and the video’s the key piece of visual content. Across those platforms, we generated buzz and secured thousands of downloads in just a few days. I directly attribute that to the quality of the video that we created.

How did VeracityColab perform from a project management standpoint?

We constantly communicated via Slack. I reviewed their work on Frame.io and made comments on the rendered videos. Their team always asked for more feedback. They were open to changing directions within reason. Their team turned this project around in such a short period of time. We had a set launch date, and they went above and beyond our expectations.

What did you find most impressive about them?

My default position was to never work with third parties because the people who build a product know it the best. I reevaluated that stance because of my experience with VeracityColab. They learned our product and asked questions, which signified their commitment to the project’s success. I was confident that they would be able to complete this project.

Other agencies included a lot of buffer in their quotes because creative projects can take many different directions. There’s a big range of budgets for a project like this, and VeracityColab was reasonable. I didn’t expect the quality to be as high as they were able to put out.

They also supported our launch on their LinkedIn account, which wasn’t part of the scope. Their team cared about us and helped us with product adoption.

Are there any areas they could improve?

If we had a more flexible timeframe, we could’ve had more opportunities for feedback.

I’m the chief creative officer and founder of a boutique design agency focused on technology companies, particularly in the SaaS business.

What challenge were you trying to address with VeracityColab?

When all the in-person events got canceled due to COVID-19, a lot of technology companies had to crank up their digital channels to make up for a lack of lead generation on the marketing side. Because of this, we started receiving a lot of digital production work. 

All of sudden, we had a lot of videos to create. It wasn’t an option for us to say no to our clients because we still want to move forward as a business. So, we hired VeracityColab to help us scale up our team.

VeracityColab took on a lot of the video work. We gave them five videos to work on and they did everything from start to finish. They managed the kick-off, writing, creative, production, reviews, and post-production. They only brought us in when it was time to talk creative with the client.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They had the keys to success when it came to video production, so they were a great value add to our team. We got feedback from one of our clients that their video was received well and that it told the story really well.

This particular client is using the video for pitches in investor and board meetings. So, the video not only serves a purpose on the audience side, but it also goes across laterally to support internal promotion efforts. 

How did VeracityColab perform from a project management standpoint?

I loved working with them. Kristina knows how to stay within boundaries while keeping the ball rolling. She’s a clear communicator. She gave us daily updates about the progress and the timeline. We kept communication simple and used Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were enjoyable people to be around. VeracityColab is humble and listens to the needs of the customer, finding solutions that are tailored towards them. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not that I can think of. I’m very happy with their services. If anything, they should just continue to push creative to be cutting edge. Other than that, they did a great job. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure you go into the project with a little bit of know-how and an understanding of the production process. Take time to fill out the first questionnaires they send you because everything is driven by the discovery call.

They’re such a well-oiled machine, and they will craft the solution based on what they hear in the discovery call.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Their team came up with a simple concept for the videos to address all of the project requirements. I'm happy with the quality of the work and the video's style. The videos feel modern, high-end, and elevated. They're also appropriate for our audience.

Seeing as the videos haven’t gone live yet, we haven’t tracked their performance yet. But we plan to do so.

How did VeracityColab perform from a project management standpoint?

From a project management standpoint, I appreciated their patience. I typically work on multiple projects at once with various stakeholders. Their team understood when our priorities changed.

For example, a few stakeholders left the project and others’ opinions evolved over time. Veracity rolled with the obstacles. We never felt like an inconvenience.

Their team took any challenges in stride, which made it easier for me to work with my stakeholders. They were professional, so I enjoyed working with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We provide complicated technologies, which are unfamiliar to many people. While it was high-level content, they were never bogged down in the superfluous details. Their concept was straightforward. They offered a lot of creativity, so we got value from our investment.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There wasn’t any particular area where they could’ve improved. As a footnote, when you work with very technical companies, it can be hard to wrap your arms around their messaging. It’s important to ask the clarifying questions earlier in the process.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Engage with them. They were open, receptive, and patient throughout the process. To ensure that you get what you want from the project, keep in constant communication.

I’m the global market development manager of Thermo Fisher Scientific, which is one of the biggest life sciences companies in the world. We have about 80,000 employees globally and are a Fortune 200 company We enable research in life sciences.

I’m specifically, in the molecular biology business unit. We support all of the products that scientists in the lab are using for molecular biology.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with VeracityColab?

We provide next-generation sequencing library preparation kit, and VeracityColab helped us out with six short videos for social.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The first series that we did was for viral surveillance. Our marketing plan shifted quickly because of COVID-19, so this specific technique is used to detect the virus,  track transmission, and track how different people respond to the virus because of their genetic makeup.

They executed the vision we already had. What we wanted was pretty clear-cut — we wanted three 30-second videos that were very organic. We weren’t hiring actors, they just put together stock footage to tell a story. Each video had a specific topic.

The first one covered a couple of different techniques under next-generation sequencing called whole-genome sequencing. Another was on co-infection of the virus and how that impacts treatment. The third one was around the immune response to a virus and using next-generation sequencing to determine the best treatment method, why some people are asymptomatic, and why others are very ill.

What is the team composition?

I was mostly with Kristina (Director of Video Success Management), so two overall.

How did you come to work with VeracityColab?

Another program in our business unit worked with them on several other projects before.

How much have you invested with them?

It was about $12,000 altogether.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from April–May 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We recently shared the videos, but haven’t had a lot of time to collect data. So far, the response has been very good. We’re actually pushing these videos organically and haven’t put much money behind advertising them. We’re using LinkedIn Elevate. It’s a way for us to create curated posts for our sales team and partners to share. All of our sales teams have promoted it. Our first video had a 66,000 reach and an 11% share rate. Our other video had an 87,000 reach with a 6% share rate. So those are some initial numbers, and we expect to see those numbers go up.

How did VeracityColab perform from a project management standpoint?

Their lines of communication were always open. We worked very closely on production and edits. We had to go through several rounds on legal and brand reviews on our side, and as soon as I got that back to them and they were good about making edits quickly. It was like clockwork. They almost always got back to me within the hour.

The video edits were clear and cohesive for our team. They uploaded each revision to a platform where I could leave comments in real-time and share it with our branding or legal team. That saved a lot of time going back and forth on small things.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their customer service, response time, and way of doing things. A lot goes into reviewing the video on the branding and legal side, and they were very understanding and patient. Even if it was a little slow on our side, they were ready to execute based on our feedback.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The first project in any collaboration has a bit of a learning curve. They could take note of little things so subsequent projects move faster.  If they knew our processes ahead of time, things could move more smoothly.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

For things to come to fruition quickly, come prepared with the main message of the video, even if it’s a rough draft of the script.

I’m the founder and CEO of Goalry. We created the first and only financial goal mall where you can reach financial goals and comparison shop for any money matter.

What challenge were you trying to address with VeracityColab?

We’re doing something that has never been done before, which is unifying a brand across multiple websites. Each of the finance stores is a specific website that comes back into a one-member key login.

I had never been able to reach out to all of the people in the industry who I wanted to reach out to until I had an agency-like clear explanation that I could go to market with. So, I wanted to put my idea into an explainer video.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

VeracityColab helped me to crystallize how to talk about the FinTech unification platform that I had built. They created a 2D animated explainer video. They didn’t just create the video, they also developed the imaging of the company, how we speak about it, and the look and feel of the brand.

The team delivered all of the assets for that including a logo. They also delivered a core strategy of how the mall works from unlocking to locking the store. The team worked with me to formalize the company’s brand.

I communicated with Charlie (CEO) as well as an account manager. Overall, I interacted with 3–4 teammates.

How did you come to work with VeracityColab?

We found them on Clutch, and I could tell from their work and reviews that they were the right company to work with even if they were a little more expensive.

We signed the contract in mid-February 2020 and the project wrapped up in May 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Their work changed the course of the company because now I have a way to present it in a way that’s next level. They didn’t just explain the company through a video, they took the time to explain the imaging for the entire company. 

They took on more of an agency role as opposed to just a video producer role. As a relatively small business, I was lucky enough to have that agency-like partnership without having to pay the millions of dollars that other brands pay. Now, I use the deliverable for everything.

How did VeracityColab perform from a project management standpoint?

They used state of the art technology. Charlie was there from the beginning to explain what I needed to his team. I would make comments and they would provide feedback as well. If they thought something would work better, they would let me know and vice versa.

It worked out perfectly. Both sides played off of each other and it worked out. The team listened well and they delivered expertise. They were very collaborative — it's in their name.

What did you find most impressive about them?

VeracityColab took my business as if it was their own. They produced the deliverable as though it was for their own company. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I have no suggestions. Honestly, it was a perfect engagement. I didn’t have any frustrations the whole time. They went above and beyond by giving me multiple assets. I would advise VeracityColab to expand their service to help after the deliverable and promote the videos because I would feel confident letting them take on the marketing as well.

I was the leader of the creative team at NEXT Trucking, a freight tech company. Being in logistics, it’s an 800-billion-dollar industry, and we were seeking to disrupt that by helping to replace traditional brokerage as well as specializing in port drayage, a really convoluted and complicated process of getting containers from the ship out into a yard for truckers to be able to transport it more easily and quickly.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with VeracityColab?

We were trying to help solve some of the blockages in the industry by innovating and simplifying as well as speeding up the process, because time is money in this business. If we were able to help expedite and revolutionize methods and processes, we could then become an owner or kingpin of both drayage and what that meant for the fleet that we had involved. 

We had various competitors in the space that were also aggressively ramping up. We saw VeracityColab as a way to tell our unique story and perspective of what we were seeking to do to help both sides of the marketplace. When you consider logistics and what that typically looks like, there's the shipper who needs to get something from point A to B, and then you have the trucker who's making a living by taking that container from A to B. We wanted to tell the story of how a shipper could be given a peace of mind and a level of control that they don't ordinarily get because of the amount of overhead and complications that occur within logistic pipelines, as well as telling the carriers that we were doing everything we could to help make it easier for them to pick up more containers, get more money, and not have have to rely on antiquated processes that were naturally just hindering the way that they work. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

VeracityColab was key to us bringing the technical side of the production to life. While I was able to help lead quite a bit of that storytelling ideation, we needed Veracity to fit that wisdom into a micro-sized script. We knew that these commercial spots wouldn’t be very long, so we needed Veracity to help effectively tell this story at a broad stroke within a very limited amount of time and space, as well as maximize some of the visual impact. We also needed help recruiting talent and finding the producers, directors, and photographers. We relied on them to maintain this timeline and get the work done without unnecessary complications. 

It was an end-to-end project, and that was important; it would have taken a lot more time for my team to do this ourselves than it did having multiple people who specialize in this and already have the existing contacts pull it all together. 

What is the team composition?

We worked with a few people from their team. We worked with Kristina (Director of Video Success Management), who was a bit of the liaison or coordinator, and another person who was the main producer. There was also Mike (Managing Director), one of the managers on the project, and then Max (Creative Director). Max was my most important contact in terms of who I expressed my creative direction to. He helped go very granular into the specifications, plotting out what I wanted and explaining some of his ideas on how we could make a quick, succinct, and visually impactful narrative. 

How did you come to work with VeracityColab?

I joined NEXT Trucking about six months after VeracityColab was hired, but I was given the project to lead. Prior to my coming on board, they didn't have anybody that specialized in creative direction, and unfortunately, that had led to them having some unsuccessful starts with VeracityColab before I was able to help redirect it. I do remember hearing that one of the reasons why they wanted to work with VeracityColab was that they were able to do some really creative work, based on some of the other specs. NEXT believed that they had the talent to both tell a story and do it for a decent investment. 

How much have you invested with them?

I believe we spent $110,000 on three spots.

What is the status of this engagement?

They were brought on in January 2019. We restarted the project when I came on that July, and we finished in February 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Shortly after we wrapped shooting, NEXT went through a round of layoffs where they got rid of 40% of the company, including the creative team. We ended up leaving before the commercials were finished. I’ve been told that the CEO and VP of marketing were quite happy with it and felt like it came out pretty well. However, the problem was that we were the people who were going to promote the spots, so I don’t think they’ve actually utilized the spots beyond posting them on YouTube. My plan was to use them in our growth marketing strategy, campaign ideation, and social media, but the company decided to scale their business down dramatically. I think they’ve stepped back on trying to have a brand.

How did VeracityColab perform from a project management standpoint?

I would say that it was pretty good. They were very thorough. We had a very long email thread that occasionally got a little hard to follow, but I wouldn't fault them for that. I'd say they were very good at listening; if I needed to ask a question again that I couldn't find, they were really quick to help point to the solution.

They were good about trying to mitigate any miscommunication, and being someone that really applied a similar amount of effort toward preventing that as well, I think we made a very effective team. Prior to my joining the team and taking over the contract, I know that they had a harder time because they were unable to communicate what they really wanted. We were also able to kind of get rid of some noise and people that didn't need to be in the conversation. By the time that I got in and course-corrected, we were able to really effectively move this project along at a much faster pace, and they were excellent at understanding what I was looking for and what we needed.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I've been on a few projects like this before. If we needed more funding to get a broader vision brought to life but were met with resistance from the business, VeracityColab was pretty good about trying to make sure that the client left happy. It did take a little bit of ideation, and I felt like between Max and I working creatively together, we were able to solve this. Rather than immediately suggesting cost cuts, they’d have us look at what mattered most to us. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I was a vocal supporter and proponent of them at NEXT, but I can tell you that there were a handful of people that had a different experience or felt that it could have been a little smoother and quicker. I know that when they came back and asked for a revised budget, some people felt caught off guard since we were already investing so much money. I would say the reason why this hit NEXT so hard is because they were asking for an additional $50,000–$70,000.

One of my colleagues who worked with us on the project and has a tremendous amount of experience in video production felt that there was opportunity for them to be a little bit more effective with the organization from start to finish. I understand when you're in a creative role and you have a lot of clients, there are so many different things, and different clients have different priorities, so I understood and tried to maintain a bit more vocal support. I think that they did try to do their best with what they could perceive as the needs and the challenges of the situation. NEXT was not an easy client, and I tried very hard to make us a really nice and palatable working partner. I think that that came through, and I think that's why we got the good work that we did.

I did not love the stylist or the makeup artist that were hired; I felt like they were a little too inexperienced and or on the lower end of what I was expecting. The stylist only brought one shoe option that never would’ve worked for a trucker, and the stylist brought clothes that looked way too cheap for the shipper. There was something in there that worked, but it was very close call where I felt almost uncomfortable with the way that it was going. If I'm going to put on a production of $110,000, I want TV-grade styling. The stylist and makeup artist weren’t bad, but they didn't understand the concept well enough, and that meant that I didn't necessarily get the exact look that I wanted. I got enough, but I felt like we could have been a little closer. My colleague also told me that they didn’t give many music options. Those details – like the styling, makeup, and music – really separate an extremely good commercial and one that feels small-scale.

Any advice for potential customers?

I would say you need to know what you're doing. You cannot not be a good creative director and hire this agency because, while they have a creative director there, if you don't know what you want out of it or you don't understand creative direction, you're going to go in circles. They'll interpret a lot of potentially wrong ideas if you're not guiding them correctly and really sharing enough insights. I know it was really helpful to them that I relayed all of the most important information as it pertained to our demographic.

If you don't have a good creative director working with you, and you try to hire them to do it all, you might take a longer time to get to the end result than if you have someone that understands what you're really trying to do. I would also say that communication and organization are key here. When it comes to a project of this scale, there's so much work that comes. 

I think there were some constraints within the business. If they are looking to get on the next level and become top of mind, then I think they have an opportunity based on who they are as people. I really, really enjoyed working with them as a team. If they're looking to get to a premiere level, it's in those details.

BACKGROUND

I’m the co-founder and operating executive of a technology company that specializes in hosting software for paid group chats for influencers and businesses.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with VeracityColab?

We wanted to get a combination explainer and promotion video with a blend of live-action and animation. The goal was to have a 2-minute hero video and then a few cut downs for socials and YouTube advertising to explain the platform and illustrate its use.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They delivered write-ups of the scripts and then we provided feedback. However, we didn’t like the creative direction they were taking and we had a lot of back and forth. As time went on, we lost faith in the process.

I was reviewing one of their script submissions and my girlfriend noticed that they had included a line referencing a well-known sitcom. The reference they made was incredibly inappropriate and unprofessional.

This upset our investors and everyone on the team. At this point, they hadn’t even completed the script yet. We had paid a $44,500 deposit and they charge us for the scriptwriting, offering us a refund of $29,500, which I eventually accepted. However, they then changed the terms of the deal and decided that they would pay us over the course of three months.

Since then, they’ve missed two payments and have only paid us back $9,000. On top of this, they usually don’t respond when I try to contact them. When they finally replied, they told me that they’ll let us know when they can pay.

What is the team composition?

We worked directly with three of their teammates, but our main point of contact was our project manager.

How did you come to work with VeracityColab?

We had a list of small, localized companies in the area where we’re based. Their portfolio looked quite good and they weren’t as expensive as our first choice. One of our co-founders and I met with a few of their team members in person and gained some confidence from that, which is why we decided to work with them. 

How much have you invested with them?

We had initially agreed on a budget of about $89,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from October 2019–February 2020. We received our first payment from them in March 2020.

Describe the impact this engagement has had on your business.

It’s completely delayed our marketing plans because we now have to find a new firm. Additionally, the funding that we had allocated to marketing is now tied up. VeracityColab misappropriated the funds that were meant for our project in the first place and they still owe us money. Our timeline has been pushed back by more than six months because of this.

How did VeracityColab perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management was poor. What sticks out to me was that there was a very inappropriate reference in their script, which no one screened or vetted. That alone speaks volumes. 

Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?

No, I have no comments. Our whole experience was sour, so if I did say something about this, it would just be a token. 

In what specific areas can they improve?

They should’ve been more transparent in the scripting and planning processes. VeracityColab should’ve also reviewed their work.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Just deliver a complete script to them and know exactly what you want ahead of time.

I’m a senior account marketing manager at Experian, in their Partner Solutions business unit. We help our partners accomplish their objectives with credit education and identity protection products. I help them market identity protection and credit education products to their customer base.

What challenge were you trying to address with VeracityColab?

We work with a lot of different enterprise companies, and when we produce content, it takes a lot of time. Because of that, we need to make sure all of our content is best in class. 

We partnered with VeracityColab because of their expertise in making product marketing related videos.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They produced two commercials for one of our partners. We had some initial input around what we were looking for. We wanted it to be live-action, and we provided details about our audience, and some of the key propositions we needed to communicate. Then, we outlined what our voice needed to be.

VeracityColab came back to us with a really strong video-based creative brief. Including our input, they created a story that would be easily communicated through video.

They did filming and production as well.

They’ve worked with another branch at Experian in the past, and they had a really impressive portfolio of work. We did an RFP to compare VeracityColab and another production company our partner worked with before, and VeracityColab came out on top.

We started working together in December 2019 and we wrapped up in March 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We launched the campaign on Facebook, and the videos had just under 2 million views.  Although there have been other marketing initiatives, after the video was released, we saw the best month for that product.

How did VeracityColab perform from a project management standpoint?

In terms of project management, it was perfect. I was consistently kept in the loop and they followed up if there were action items that need to be completed. Most of our communication is over email.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

VeracityColab stands out from creative strategy, to the number of resources that they put on set, to the understanding they have for the product. They’re able to communicate in a way that makes sense to the consumer and accurately described the technology. Although they’re more expensive, the difference was night and day. They understood our product and what motivates consumers, and they've been able to tell that story effectively.

Not really, they take feedback and input really well.

All the information you can provide them on the product, the audience, and your business, is extremely beneficial. They’re going to be able to take that and come up with a strong recommendation.

What challenge were you trying to address with VeracityColab?

We were looking to overhaul our product videos. Part of that process was building those videos from scratch but also improving the level of sophistication of our videos across the board.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our initial engagement with them consisted of four product videos. We had an overview of our overarching product suite, and then we three 30-second cut-downs for social media and other channels. They were like little snapshots of the overarching video.

They were with us throughout the entire process right from end to end. And so we kind of initially gave the idea to them. We work on a script together. They helped us with all of the storyboarding, went through multiple edit cycles there. And then pre-production was very, very smooth.

We went from scripting and storyboarding to sourcing video artists and locking in the UI animation and workflows and going through the final reviews and polish of the video.

Since then, they’ve worked on several other product videos. They’ve been able to plug into our brand and elevate the look and feel of everything that we do.

What is the team composition?

My main points of contact were the managing director, video success manager, and creative director.

How did you come to work with VeracityColab?

We did an initial search and we actually found VeracityColab via a bunch of review sites. They had. Top-tier reviews and a lot of five-star rating when we looked through their portfolio. We were really excited because they’ve collaborated with some amazing brands.

We were also really pumped because they had motion graphic chops. We looked at their motion graphics videos, and when it comes to product marketing and animating UI, it’s all about having motion graphic artists who can bring different workflows to life in new ways. So, that was what was in our heads when we were looking and vetting different vendors.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in August 2019 and it’s ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

 They’ve been able to generate thousands of videos on YouTube for the launch videos they’ve done for us. They’ve also elevated how our marketing team as a whole approached video as a medium.

The biggest impact has been on our brand equity and brand awareness. Kudos to them for being able to activate our vision and bring our product to life in new and exciting ways. In particular, they were able to showcase the UI in different environments and have really elevated the sophistication of our product videos.  

How did VeracityColab perform from a project management standpoint?

The crew is amazing. It felt like we were a part of their team and they were a part of ours. We had them on our internal messaging app and we could go back and forth daily. So it was a tightly knit crew. One of the best parts was that we were always on top of our milestones, and they were tracking success so we didn’t have to. Their project managers are fantastic, and they were able to get the project off the ground incredibly quickly. I have to shout out the project management team because they really helped us fill the finished product that our entire team is very excited about. We’re very amped for the project to be out in the world. Our project was so successful because they were driving it for us and pushing it to succeed.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re truly a genuine partner. Michelle has helped us come up with fresh ideas and new ways to highlight different workflows. She asked about how to bring new characters and voiceovers into the mix. Across the board, they check all the marks. They plugged into our team, but they brought fresh ideas and creative direction.

I would recommend VeracityColab to any organization that is looking to up-level and take their product video into a fresh direction. The best part about working with them is having a structured support team that always has our back. They’re the best organization I’ve worked with.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Not really. It was a smooth ride, though it was a learning experience and we had to work through things together. We weren’t sure how many edit cycles we needed, but that was more on our side than theirs.

Make sure you outline al of the stakeholders that need review the video across the organization. Having one point of contact also helps you consolidate edits from the rest of your team.

What challenge were you trying to address with VeracityColab?

We brought them on for different marketing pieces, primarily videos about our flagship product.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They really did everything. We had a couple of ideation sessions with them to get started. We gave our vision of what we wanted presented in the final video, and we focused on some things that hadn't been touched upon in previous videos. They took our initial ideas and gave us a basic rundown of their vision of the video. Once we accepted that, they went into storyboarding.

From that point on, we just needed to review a few things and tweak them here and there. We swapped out a couple of graphics in place of some of the ones they had used.

What is the team composition?

At first, I worked with their CEO, but it was turned over to our project manager, who became our main point of contact. There were a couple of other people involved, but I didn’t contact them directly.

How did you come to work with VeracityColab?

I came in as marketing director after they had already completed nine of the 10 videos we had contracted. So my work with them was really just on this last video. As I understand, our CEO met them at a conference.

How much have you invested with them?

In total we spent between $10,000–$25,000, including $1,800 in change requests.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from July 2019–March 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Although we don’t have any data on the video yet, they hit the nail on the head from the beginning. They had a great understanding of what we wanted and they were able to just take that and run with it. And that was really, really encouraging and cut down on our feedback process. Our executive team is notoriously picky, but they had minimal changes to this and were happy with the entire production.

How did VeracityColab perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was as close to perfect as one can get. They kept us on task, weren’t overbearing, and if we told them that we needed more time, they were very understanding. If I had a question, I could expect a same-day response. Most of the time, there was an answer, every once in awhile, they would say they need to look it up.

There were also no hidden costs. If something we needed, they would let us know if it would cost more. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication is better than most organizations. Their ability to take a vision without a ton of input. They took what we said, asked a few general questions, but still knocked it out of the park.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m all for constructive criticism, but I’ve been so impressed and so pleased with what they’ve done for us.

Be responsive to their questions. Trust them, and they’ll put together something of quality for you.
