I am the CEO of a small clinical stage, biotechnology company developing a miRNA for the treatment of peripheral arterial disease.

Although we became operational in 2019, we have never had a logo or website. As we are about to enter clinical development, we felt it was essential to have a web presence to let both investors and potential clinical subjects know about the Company.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We interviewed a number of web designers and was impressed with Vektra's prior work and their promise to develop the materials quickly.

We originally sent Vektra background materials on Merand. With this, Hlib prepared a number of logos. Upon selecting a logo, Hlib then gave us choices of web templates. After we selected a template, he used our material to populate a draft site. I then edited the materials. Once we agreed on the final site, Vektra transferred it to our hosting service.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We dealt directly with Hlib although I know other members of his team were responsible for transferring the site to our host.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I work with a somewhat demanding cardiologist and was very surprised he liked one of the logos without any modification and really liked the template and draft website. Indeed, all members of our Board were very impressed with the final product. Importantly, we were trying to get this up by the end of 2022 to help in fund raising and clinical trial recruitment and Vektra met our timelines.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Outstanding, Hlib communicated quickly and when I had changes, they were made within a day. I run other companies and no other web designer has been this efficient. I wish I had met Vektra before committing to other designers but when it makes sense to change, I will move all my business to Vektra.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Easily responsiveness. Other groups take weeks to return feedback, Vektra usually makes edits and gets the next version back in 1-2 days. Also, they seem to understand the edits the first time around so we do not have to continue to try to get things right.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not really. I was very impressed with working with Hlib and his team at Vektra.
