**SOLUTION**
How did you find Vardot?Online SearchWhy did you select Vardot over others?Pricing fit our budgetGood value for costDrupal ExpertiseDescribe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables. The Bayer Becker website redesign project was initiated to modernize the firm’s digital presence and align it with its reputation as a creative and professional land design consulting firm. The original site, built in 2011 on Drupal 7, had become outdated both in design and functionality. With Drupal 7 reaching end-of-life in January 2025, the redesign included a full rebuild in Drupal 11, requiring new templates and updated technical standards such as HTML5 and CSS, while retaining the existing database and ensuring responsive performance across devices The project aimed to create a visitor-focused experience that would better serve prospects, clients, and job candidates. Content was restructured to be more engaging and action-oriented, helping users take the next step in their decision-making journey. Search engine optimization (SEO) was a top priority, with best practices applied across design, content, and site structure to improve discoverability To simplify the user experience, several sections were consolidated. The “About” section was redesigned as a single scrollable page, integrating testimonials and prequalifications. The “Team” section was streamlined to highlight principals and associates with brief bios and infographics. Service pages for geovisualization, landscape architecture, and planning—previously updated in 2023—were retained and visually aligned with redesigned pages for civil engineering, transportation engineering, and surveying. The “Projects” section removed detailed summaries, focusing instead on imagery and key project details with filtering capabilities. The “News” section was transformed into a blog to support content marketing and SEO, serving as a digital extension of the firm’s inSites event series The “Careers” section was overhauled to better communicate Bayer Becker’s employer brand, including mission, values, job opportunities, and office culture. A profile on Sarah Tanner, Talent Acquisition & Development Leader, was added, along with new recruitment marketing photos. The “Contact” section was optimized for readability, especially on mobile devices. Visual storytelling was emphasized throughout the site, leveraging the firm’s extensive library of project and team photos Cost control was maintained by utilizing in-house resources where possible. Ongoing support provisions were established for future Drupal upgrades, security enhancements, and annual template updates

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success? The completed website redesign project for Bayer Becker delivered several measurable outcomes that significantly enhanced the firm’s digital presence and operational efficiency. The new site is now fully functional and secure, having been successfully migrated to Drupal 11 and built to meet modern web standards. It features a responsive design that adapts seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, and it conforms to WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards, ensuring a more inclusive experience for all users. Integration with Google Analytics G4 has enabled advanced tracking and insights into user behavior, while the connection to the Paycor career opportunities portal has streamlined the recruitment process. Although the site is still relatively new, it has already received positive feedback from internal team members, clients, and new prospects, indicating strong early engagement and validating the redesign’s strategic goals.Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs? The Vardot team’s project management throughout the website redesign was outstanding. They consistently communicated each phase of the project with clarity and precision, ensuring that our internal team understood expectations, timelines, and deliverables. Their responsiveness was exceptional—questions and challenges were addressed promptly and professionally, which kept the project moving smoothly. What truly set their approach apart was their use of multiple platforms and tools to document and track every step of the design and development process. This provided full transparency and allowed us to monitor progress in real time. At every stage, we knew exactly where the project stood and what was required from our team, which fostered a strong sense of collaboration and confidence. What was your primary form of communication with Vardot?Virtual MeetingEmail or Messaging AppWhat did you find most impressive or unique about this company? What impressed me most about working with the Vardot team was their genuine commitment to understanding our business and their creativity in communicating our value. From the outset, they took the time to learn who we are, what sets us apart, and how best to reflect that through both design and content. They developed multiple design themes that visually and verbally captured our firm’s unique personality and strengths. Their ability to translate our identity into a compelling digital experience was remarkable. Additionally, they consistently brought forward thoughtful solutions to every challenge, offering multiple options to help us achieve our goals with flexibility and clarity. This combination of strategic insight, creativity, and problem-solving made them an exceptional partner throughout the project. Are there any areas for improvement or something Vardot could have done differently?I don’t think I have any significant suggestions for improvement. I’ve often heard from marketing colleagues about how challenging and frustrating website redesigns can be, but this experience was quite the opposite. The entire process was well-managed, collaborative, and even enjoyable. Working with the Vardot team was a pleasure from start to finish, and their professionalism, responsiveness, and creativity made this project a standout success. **Feedback Summary**: The client is satisfied with their new website, which is more accessible now and has maintained interest among the users despite archiving around 30% of their content. Vardot has performed well, delivered on time, and remained flexible to changes. Moreover, they've been clear and solutions-oriented.
""Overall, we've had a great experience working together.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I'm a protection research and information officer for an international organization. In my role, I'm working on our global law and policy database.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vardot? We had to revamp our website, whose database had more than 200,000 documents. Thus, we needed to work together with a company capable of doing the migration from the current CMS to the new CMS while taking into consideration the further development of the database.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?Vardot has helped us revamp our department's website, and they've also worked on our other corporate websites. Initially, we had two consulting phases, during which we provided them with a lot of information about what we wanted and how. They also told us about the team that would be involved. After that, the first step of the actual project was to deliver the designs. We worked with an external consultant on creating the first designs. Based on those, we continued working with Vardot on refining those designs, listing down the functional and non-functional requirements, and establishing the project schedule. Now that we've launched the website, we're looking into further developing the additional parts we haven't been able to implement yet. We'll also have another collaboration with Vardot until the end of 2024 to ensure that we can implement the additional features we would like to see on our site. What is the team composition?Vardot's team has varied throughout the project, as it depends on the work needed to be done at every stage. We've worked with a project manager and a technical team, including UI/UX designers, developers, a QA analyst, and other teammates who have worked on creating additional designs. On average, we've been working with 4–5 colleagues from Vardot. How did you come to work with Vardot? One of our other departments was already working with Vardot on another website when this project arose, so we were able to leverage their agreement and started working together. Usually, we do extensive assessments of our service providers, as we have a procurement process in place. The fact that we were already working with Vardot for another project meant that they had been selected based on their qualifications. What is the status of this engagement? We started working in January 2021 on the initial consultations. Currently, we're finishing our latest statement of work. We just launched our website in February 2024, so we're wrapping up our latest contract with Vardot.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? We recently launched our new platform, and we're very satisfied. As mentioned, we're publishing policy and legal documents from our organization and from external publishers. Thus, when we migrted from the previous platform to the new one, we archived around 100,000 documents. Now that we've launched the new website, we still have more or less a similar number of users coming to it, which is very good to see because, even though we cut around 30% of our content, people have kept the same level of interest in our site. This is a very good achievement because we expected a drop in our traffic because we have much less content. We've also received great feedback from senior management, who are very pleased with the new website. They've been very pleased to see that our website has become much more accessible and presents much more clearly our policies and legal guidance. How did Vardot perform from a project management standpoint?Vardot has performed very well. Mostly, the delays have been on our side because we have a small team, so we've done a lot of follow-ups internally, and it has taken a long time to get feedback from everyone involved. Vardot has respected all the deadlines. Still, ours has been an iterative process, so we've revised the deadlines if necessary based on our internal capacity to complete the task. This approach has worked very well. Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?I would like to give a shout-out to Israa (Accounts Director). She has acted as the engagement manager and has been engaged in the project from the beginning. She has done a really fantastic job overall, and she's very clear, helpful, considerate, and fantastic to work with.Israa is always trying to take into account all our requirements, looking for solutions for challenges by breaking them down into small pieces to ensure the solution accommodates our requirements. On top of that, she's very communicative as well. What did you find most impressive about them?I've been very impressed with Israa's work. She has managed the project very well, is very clean in her communication, and is very efficient at meeting deadlines and estimating project costs. She's also very flexible with us whenever we've had to refine our requirements. Overall, we've had a great experience working together. Are there any areas they could improve? It would be great if we had more information on the steps taken. Vardot is very active, which is very positive. However, it would be useful to discuss some of the requirements before they actually start to work. For us, having a prior discussion works a lot better so that we can have a look at how the project would be played out in the end, allowing us to provide advice in advance. Adding an extra step in the process would be useful to optimize our time available.Currently, we provide Vardot with the requirements on a very high level, and they work based on those. Then, they deliver the work, we have a look at it, and give them our feedback. Based on that feedback, they refine their work. Although that approach works perfectly fine, that extra step to discuss the final requirements before the actual development work would be helpful.Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs? As a client, it's very important to properly list your requirements. Still, it's also important to take into account that this is an iterative process. For example, you might have an idea in your mind and some designs, but there might exist some limitations with the designs or the development. You might realize that something should have been done a bit differently to ensure users can get benefit from your project. Therefore, you need to have a bit of space to ensure that you can implement final changes if needed. This is something I've really liked about Vardot; they've definitely left room for further discussions throughout the process, which has been very useful for us.

**Feedback Summary**: After launching the new website built by Vardot, the client noticed a 25% growth in traffic, and the site's speed and performance also significantly increased. The updated design and functionalities, such as the data dashboards and search functionalities, received positive feedback from visitors.
""They had a unique capacity to understand our needs and meet new requests as the project evolved.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Advocacy and Communications Manager at Education Cannot Wait, the United Nations global fund for education in emergencies and protracted crises.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Vardot, and what were your goals?

Our website was created as a campaign and advocacy tool before Education Cannot Wait started its operations a new global fund. This wordpress site was outdated and no longer fit for purpose. We also needed to migrate to a Drupal site to align to our host organization (UNICEF) new web governance guidelines. We did not have an in-house web developer and needed a vendor to take this project forward.

We needed a new website that would be fit for purpose for a billion-dollar multilateral global fund. Our goals were to develop a site that met the needs of our various audiences and constituents combining advocacy, information, transparency and accountability functions, to increase the speed and performance of our site, and to increase the number of users, number of sessions and sessions' length, and to ensure a better integration of the site with our digital channels.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched through web developers that had long-term agreements with UNICEF or other UN agencies. The comprehensive procurement process included reviewing technical and financial proposals of 5 vendors that were shortlisted. After completing the various steps of the selection process, we selected this vendor based on the quality of their proposal, the competitive cost estimate, as well as their track record of similar projects working with other UN agencies and non-profits.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had a kick-off meeting to discuss goals and objectives. From there, the team delivered a detailed plan and timeline for the different phases of the project: the inception/discovery phase which included a thorough needs analysis and competitors’ sites analysis; the design phase including delivering mockups of the home page and key landing pages as well as working with us to develop the new site map; the development of the approved design and the uploading/transfer of contents from the old site; the training of our team on using the new site; the launch of the new site including preparing the on-site SEO and server and security; ongoing support and maintenance to maintain the site updates and process support tickets.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

A project manager was our main point of contact throughout the process. There were also multiple additional staff, including developers and designers working behind the scenes.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After launching our new site, we saw a 25% increase in traffic and significant increase in the speed and performance of the site. Our key constituents, including some of our top donors, provided very positive feedback on the updated design and the updated functionalities of the site such as the new interactive data dashboards and advanced search functionalities.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We had weekly meetings with the project manager and any other relevant staff needed to address specific issues. They were absolutely fantastic at keeping us all on track, adapting to any new requests from our end and resolving any bottlenecks. If there were any delays, they would let us know ahead of time. We used Bootcamp as a tool to coordinate the project which worked very well for our team. They were also available to address any urgent issues through bilateral calls/ad hoc meetings when needed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Vardot demonstrated a rare agility to adapt to our small and nimble team and fast pace 'start-up' working environment. They had a unique capacity to understand our needs and meet new requests as the project evolved. Their expert knowledge in UI/UX, creative team and experience working with UN agencies was instrumental to ensure the success of this project.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

When we first launch there were some minor bugs with some of the re-direct pages from our old site and some old posts missing. We let them know and they addressed the situation. They also went above and beyond to go through a full comprehensive check of all re-direct links and all existing contents to ensure nothing was missing.

**The Review** — Aug 23, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: Thanks to the platform developed by Vardot, the vast majority of the applicants found the website helpful and rated it highly. The team is highly responsive, communicative, and flexible, adapting their development process to meet the client’s needs.
"“Communication and project management is what Vardot does best.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I work for a non-governmental organization responsible for assisting people who have been displaced from their native homes, primarily refugees. I specifically work on a one-off project this organization administers on behalf of the state of California. Within this program, I’m the IT manager, so I’m responsible for delivering the portal interface for those who apply for the benefits of this program.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vardot?

The program I work for is an emergency program, so everything related to it has been assembled very quickly. Originally, we had created a portal interface to accept applications and educate users, but that platform was very disjointed.

Therefore, our goal was to create a website that served as a one-stop shop, not only for organizations that help refugees but also for refugees themselves. With this project and Vardot’s help, we were hoping to consolidate all of our functional information and create an analytic reporting capability to see who was interacting with our portal in order to understand and address potential gaps.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Vardot has helped us design and develop the portal we needed. We decided to break the project into two different design and implementation phases so that we could achieve an incremental deployment of the site rather than a singular deployment later down the road. They’ve used Drupal 9 as the site’s CMS and hosted it on Platform.sh. The site also has ancillary services that use AWS, SendGrid, and other standard technologies.

Vardot has great experience in Drupal, so they leveraged the modules and templates they had already developed, as well as the standard Drupal library, to create our site. They’ve also made some custom modifications to meet our needs.

This website has informational sections, such as FAQ, instructions on how to apply, and contact information. Still, the core feature of our website is the application functionality. To apply for our program, a user would create an account and complete an application form. The application form is rather lengthy, so users can return to complete it at a different time, thanks to the login feature. This site also supports information tracking, and internal users and administrators can use it to communicate with each other.

What is the team composition?

I’ve interacted with 5–6 individuals from Vardot, including project managers, architects, DevOps engineers, QAs, and designers.

How did you come to work with Vardot?

I started working on this project after Vardot had been selected as a vendor. Although I wasn’t part of the process, the organization launched an RFP and followed the standard evaluation process.

How much have you invested with them?

I can’t disclose the total amount, but it will be under six figures.

What is the status of this engagement?

We signed the contract in March 2022, but the official design and development process started in May 2022, and our engagement is ongoing. Our contract stipulates a year of hosting through Platform.sh, which will end in March 2023, pending potential extension.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We implemented within the website the capability for applicants to provide optional feedback. More than 75% of users have rated their experience with four and five stars, and over 80% have found our site to be helpful for understanding our program.

How did Vardot perform from a project management standpoint?

Vardot’s performance has been overwhelmingly positive, and they’ve been very responsive. Their team is based in Jordan, so we have a time difference. Still, if I send them a message in my afternoon, I’m almost guaranteed to receive a response or get a change done by the time I get to my office the next morning.

Initially, we had planned to manage this project using the waterfall model, but my stakeholders later encouraged me to move the project much faster. Thus, we pivoted to an agile development cycle, breaking the project into various phases. I really appreciated Vardot’s flexibility in changing their standard development process to meet our needs, which saved us financial and time-based burdens.

Vardot uses Jira to manage their development process internally, and we collaborate via Basecamp. We also communicate via email and share documents via Google Drive and MS Office 365.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Communication and project management is what Vardot does best. They’ve been very flexible in adjusting some of their core operating models to meet our needs, and we’ve been able to achieve much more than the contract stipulated.

Are there any areas they could improve?

To my understanding, there are more holidays in Jordan than in the US, so we’ve had a couple of challenges during those periods. Still, it hasn’t been detrimental to our project by any means; it has only made our communication planning a bit more interesting.

In addition to that, it would be great if Vardot focused more on the security aspects of projects to meet modern standard operating procedures that are now considered industry defaults. Moreover, I would like it if they were more flexible on quotes.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Define your success criteria, feature requirements, user stories, and other details before signing the contract. Vardot will pretty much implement what you ask them for, but it will be helpful to have detailed requirements upfront.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Vardot has developed our website in Drupal from scratch. The site was launched two weeks ago, so they now provide support and maintenance on an ongoing basis.

What is the team composition?

I’ve worked directly with an account manager and a project manager. Throughout the development process, we also worked with two designers and 3–4 developers.

How did you come to work with Vardot?

A friend recommended them to us, and we chose them because they’re professionals in enterprise Drupal web development.

We’ve spent over $200,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Vardot delivered our website successfully, and our collaboration has been great. They’re proactive and constantly provide more services just to keep us satisfied.

How did Vardot perform from a project management standpoint?

Vardot sticks to the project’s scope, but they’re flexible when needed. Additionally, they’re very collaborative and available, and the project manager responds quickly. Although we faced some delays, those were on our side. Still, they understood those delays and kept working. We use Basecamp, Slack, email, phone calls, and Webex to manage the project and communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Vardot has very professional resources. Their team is very committed and timely, and they always know what they’re doing.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be great if Vardot were more flexible in their communication. They’re strict in using their own templates, so I’ve had to convert those templates into the ones our end client uses to keep them satisfied. Still, it hasn’t been an important issue.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I recommend working with Vardot; if they’re not qualified to do something, they’ll let you know.

""We felt like we were working with a true partner rather than a vendor.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am a Project Leader at the Boston Consulting Group.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Vardot, and what were your goals?

We undertake large digital transformation projects for prominent organizations and government entities throughout the Middle East and the Gulf region. We were looking for a long-term partner to help us with the digital experience part of the transformation, from beginning to finish, taking care of the whole project lifecycle.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We’ve conducted comprehensive research on the best technologies when it comes to enterprise digital experience, websites, and portals. We’ve selected Drupal. And then we conducted comprehensive research on leading Drupal agencies and this is when we knew about Vardot, as it ranks among the top Drupal solutions providers on the Drupal marketplace.
We’ve started the communication with Vardot and they demonstrated a thorough understanding of our needs and possessed the industry and technology knowledge. Not to mention the recommendations and positive feedback we received from their references.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The project was a breeze from start to finish. Vardot delivery team follows a very well-structured, yet agile project delivery process. At the beginning of the project, a Project Manager was assigned to the project, who walked us through the project delivery lifecycle and was the focal point of contact. The project has gone into the phases of Discovery Analysis, Design, Development, Training, Content Entry, and Launch.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

The team assigned for this project from Vardot consisted of a Project Manager, UI/UX Designer, Technical Lead, Developers, Quality Assurance Engineer, and a DevOps Engineer.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Vardot provided neat and organized deliverables from project plans to documentation. They have presented multiple design options and the client has selected one of them. The design phase was collaborative and the outcome was according to best practices and an optimized user journey. The website was done professionally, is fast, and is search engine optimized.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Vardot adopts the Scrum project management framework. The project communication was transparent and the channel was wide open using Vardot’s different online tools like Basecamp and InVision. The Vardot team was punctual and detail-oriented. We felt we were working with a true partner rather than a vendor and that they had a stake in the project’s success as much as we did.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their deep knowledge of the best practices in enterprise-level web solutions to different industries, namely the News and Media and the Government sectors. Also the systematic and organized, yet agile approach to managing projects, and the transparency, attention to detail, and commitment to meeting timeline.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing to say. Worked with them twice in 2 different projects; and this is by far the most professional & flexible dev company I worked with

""Drupal teams can be tough to find, and they have exceeded our already high expectations at every turn.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the COO of a digital resource offering non-partisan political analysis for US campaigns & elections.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Vardot, and what were your goals?

Our website was overdue for a CMS update (from Drupal 7 to 9) and needed other updates to better serve our clients and showcase our content. Tasks included integration a third party service for subscription management. We also needed a knowledgeable team to offer us ongoing maintenance and support to further our growth.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We researched firms specializing in Drupal and knowledgeable about the needs of a news-related platform. We were impressed with Vardot's online reputation, particularly in their contributions to Drupal as an open source contributor, as well as their online reviews. We also communicated with them via email and virtually to assess the fit of our needs and standards. We were assured by their marketing and brand presence, but further impressed by their communication skills and proposal. They understood our project, communicated expectations clearly, are well organized and had the exact solution for our needs.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Our work included a discovery process, several team meeting where we discussed priorities and plans and we began work quickly to build out the updates needed, while also implementing their "SMG" plan to support our regular maintenance needs. We have had clear documentation and defined work projects in phased releases. We have used Google Meet for meetings, Google Docs & Sheets for shared documents and view only progress reports, and we have signed contracts and paid bills electronically.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We have worked most closely with our project manager, Israa, who has been fantastic. We've also consulted regularly with Razem, the founder of Vardot, who is knowledgeable, invested in us, and available to answer specific and strategic questions. We also have a team of technicians available to us via our maintenance plan. Israa (the PM) coordinates the assignments of their team to our tickets.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have seen immediate results from our earliest implementation. We improved the layouts of some pages, which as resulted in an improvement in our sharing on social media for paywall content; our site is fully secure with the Drupal 9 upgrades; everything has been delivered as promised. We are currently still working on one of our biggest updates to improve the UX, which we expect will have a direct impact on revenue increases and reduction in staff time needed to resolve subscription changes.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Excellent communicators -- written and verbal. Always reliable and responsible. Deliverables are clear and on time. Everyone is also incredibly kind and approachable. We are huge fans.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They have a wonderful combination of personal touch and pride in their work and customer service, but also a capacity to deliver the work of a huge agency. Their understanding of Drupal (both its strengths and weaknesses) has been essential and exceptional. Drupal teams can be tough to find, and they have exceeded our already high expectations at every turn.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No.

Digital Director, States Newsroom

**The Review** — Nov 12, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: The website’s design and functionality have received positive feedback from internal stakeholders. The Vardot team has great communication skills, and they manage the project well through Basecamp and Google Drive tools. Their resources are responsive and provide clarity in terms of timelines.
"“The Vardot team has been great at communicating timelines.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the digital director at States Newsroom, a national nonprofit that supports local newsrooms in state capitals across the country. I largely maintain and manage our web presence, audience outreach, design work, and technical tools.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vardot?

We were creating a new national website that aggregated content from all of our individual outlets into one central hub. Our team also wanted this hub to be publicly available to readers for them to read all stories in one place.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Vardot built the entire website in Drupal. Our first steps focused on digging into the goals of the website. It also involved determining how much curation we wanted to do and how much automation we needed. In that regard, we already had an idea in mind. For one, we wanted users to be able to manage and curate content, so the website should give them the option to search rising trends among the content. From there, we moved into the design process, which clarified the website’s user flow, aesthetics, and overall UX design. The Vardot team turned around designs. Then, we did tweaks and iterations over the course of six weeks.

Afterward, we started the development process. We were hands-off for a while; Vardot worked on plenty of things behind the scenes before they sent us something to review. While we met weekly in the beginning, we only met every two weeks during the development process. Finally, the last phase of the project was a QA process. Then, we realized we wanted to add some features to the website after it went live, and Vardot helped us organize those features for a later release.

At present, we have an ongoing maintenance contract with Vardot. Their team handles server hosting and administration tasks for the website. Meanwhile, our company doesn’t plan to take on the maintenance of the website since we have a small team. We don’t have the capacity to take on another big national website. If we want to add other features to the mix, we’ll do additional contracts with Vardot.

What is the team composition?

We work with a project manager that meets with us regularly every week. She’s also the co-owner of the company. Another person assists her during our meetings and particularly during the second half of the project. We’ve also met with their CEO, who has helped us determine the basic structure of the website.

How did you come to work with Vardot?

We wanted a team that had done similar projects to ours. Specifically, we wanted a team that had worked in the news space before. Meanwhile, Vardot had worked for Al-Jazeera and other news companies. On top of that, they’d also done similar projects where they aggregated content from different places into one platform.

Moreover, we found good reviews of Vardot’s projects. We also liked that there was a large number of people of color in their committee, plus they were led by a woman who shared the values we had. Ultimately, Vardot understood our project much quicker than other vendors we interviewed. Their bid was also within our budget, and the timeline they laid out met our needs.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested nearly $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in May 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We haven’t had a public launch yet, so we don’t have quantitative success metrics. However, we’ve received positive feedback internally. The website is designed well and functions the way we want. Vardot has also provided helpful ideas that are not in our original scope.

How did Vardot perform from a project management standpoint?

The Vardot team has been great at communicating timelines; there’s great clarity in terms of the options and time we have. They tell us how our choices affect or push back the entire process. Simply put, it’s always helpful for us to not only be held to a deadline but also understand why such a thing is necessary.

Moreover, we use Basecamp and Google Documents and Spreadsheets to manage the project. If we have a concern, we write it on Basecamp, and then we receive quick feedback from Vardot resources. We use Spreadsheets when we find bugs, which we tell the Vardot team through Basecamp messages.

Further, everyone in our team has access to Basecamp, but I’m usually the main point person for that. This has been the way we communicate especially during the active development phase. Since we’ve moved into the maintenance phase, our communication has understandably been less direct and immediate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have organized communication processes.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The only tricky part has been when we transferred content from WordPress to Drupal. They suggested we do that through RSS feeds. Our internal engineer thought that that wouldn’t require too much time, but it turned out that he needed to be more hands-on for it. The RSS tasks took half of his time, which luckily worked out well with our schedule. Our team thought that there was a lot of back and forth in this aspect, and it was confusing. Moreover, if we didn’t have an internal engineer who could handle RSS-related work, it would’ve been frustrating for us.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

As much as possible, have a clear vision of what you want in the beginning because iteration is going to take more time than you expect. Moreover, if you’re going to use WordPress RSS feeds, you should have a clear understanding of your team’s technical needs.

""I'm highly satisfied with Vardot, during the project work, the final product, and post-launch support and follow up.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I work for UNHCR, the United Nations Refugee Agency, which is a complex, global organization with 17,000 employees around the world. I advise on digital tracking and analytics for web/app projects across the organization.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Vardot, and what were your goals?

We hired Vardot to migrate and re-work a custom tool we are using to generate UTM codes, into the Drupal framework (for tracking the impact of communication initiatives. The tool needed to be updated to cater for a growing number and type of users.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

The vendor won an open, competitive bid (technical, financial) with UNHCR to move our global website and the UTM tool to the Drupal framework.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We started our project with a kick-off meeting where the developers working on the project were introduced. We showcased the existing UTM tool, and the business needs the tool addresses. Vardot quickly grasped the buisness needs and helped us translate these into possible Drupal based solutions.

At each iteration of the development work, we had the chance to do extensive testing on a staging site, and make comments and changes. Before launch of the new tool, we agreed on a launch timeframe, and post launch support model.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with a team of 4-5 drupal developers, including the project lead. The project lead would oversee the progression of the project, make sure the solutions being developed addressed the business needs/requirements, and facilitated contact with the relevant developers.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

With the new tool launched we have been able to integrate several new key audiences onto our tool, including email marketers, and the Goodwill Ambassador team. The new tool has significantly reduced the time I spend on admin tasks, as it includes automated features for user registration and password reset.

Furthermore Vardot created the new tool inline with our corporate branding which creates a more coherent experience for our users.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We worked using Basecamp where developers, projects leads and UNHCR could communicate freely throughout the project. Vardot was highly responsive, both over email/basecamp, and to schedule calls when necessary. This was a key aspect that ensured the a timely completion of the project, and much appreciated.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Vardot had a highly professional approach to asking about our business needs in detail, and then translating those into viable solutions using Drupal. This not only enabled us to create a solution that catered to our stated requirements, but also helped us spot opportunities we had not though of ourselves.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I'm highly satisfied with Vardot, during the project work, the final product, and post-launch support and follow up.

**Feedback Summary**: The system created by Vardot is error-free, and the client is satisfied with it. The team has demonstrated a clear understanding of the client’s requirements and the ability to prioritize tasks. Additionally, they offer impressive technical knowledge, responsiveness, experience, and dedication.
"“They’re very dedicated to their work, and they strive to deliver quality products.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a digital marketing manager specializing in e-commerce for an international organization. We provide fundraising solutions for the organization.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vardot?

We were looking to build a CMS for donation landing pages.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Vardot helped us create a platform that facilitates building landing pages and emergency sites to fundraise in global markets. This system can be customized according to the local behavior in the different markets that we serve.

Initially, we wrote the requirements for them, and from there, they organized everything to fulfill those requirements. During this process, they asked a lot of questions and came back with a solution proposal that we went through.

After we signed the agreement, Vardot started the development phase, during which we had weekly meetings to check our progress and touch base in case they needed further clarification on the requirements. Everything went on schedule, according to the timeline that they had provided us in the beginning.

They worked on a Sprint model, doing batch releases and testing in parallel while continuing with the development. Eventually, Vardot started providing us with other solutions for the unforeseen challenges that normally arise during development projects like ours.

Finally, we launched the product with a little delay, which wasn’t necessarily their fault. It was due to the holidays and some technical issues that weren’t within their scope to fix. However, they also were there to follow up until the issue was resolved.

We had a very tight deadline, so we had to cut edges and meet halfway to deliver the product by the required date, dividing the project into two phases. The product they delivered didn’t have the full functionality that we asked for; it just had the critical functionalities that we agreed upon.

After launching the platform, we moved onto the second phase of the project, and we’re also working on other projects in parallel.

This platform is used by 7–8 different markets, and they use the same backend to build donation landing pages, defining the content and the donation amounts. As the pages are customizable, we can also test different approaches to optimize the conversion rates.

Although they also could have built a payment processing system to receive donations, we were already working with a third party for this purpose, and we wanted to continue working with them. Thus, Vardot helped us integrate the third-party payment system into our platform, so users are redirected to the payment app without even noticing. It was a very seamless implementation.

What is the team composition?

In the beginning, we engaged with Vardot’s CEO. Then, their accounts director worked with us to create the whole documentation, including the scope of work and the project plan. This person was also leading all of the conversations.

Once we started getting into more specific details about the project, they assigned us a senior project coordinator, who has been leading the implementation. We’ve also worked with 4–5 senior developers.

How did you come to work with Vardot?

To work for the organization to which our agency belongs, companies have to go through a very intensive procurement process. We usually put out our terms of reference and an RFP, and they have to apply for it. Then, we go through a complete evaluation, where the applicant’s technical team is put together to evaluate their responses.

However, one of our sister companies had already procured Vardot for their services, and they recommended them to us. We also evaluated eight other development agencies, but Vardot stood out from the rest by meeting our requirements and being the most affordable option.

How much have you invested with them?

Including the cost of the second phase, we will be spending around $150,000 on this project alone.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in December 2020, and our engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Vardot has demonstrated a clear understanding of our requirements, and they’ve provided solutions that meet our needs. When we launched a new website through the platform, it was error-free and fast, so everyone was happy and satisfied.

We’ve also tracked their response to requests, their speed on fixing issues, and their willingness to provide us with solutions, and they’ve performed really well across all that criteria.

How did Vardot perform from a project management standpoint?

Vardot is very clear in their communication and spot-on on the technical side. Their organization and project management are amazing, and everything has been just as we agreed on beforehand. Overall, they’re the best agency that I’ve ever worked with.

They’ve managed our expectations in the right way, and we’re very satisfied with how they’ve prioritized the issues that need to be fixed. Other agencies don’t always know how to prioritize, but Vardot always manages to know what is critical and what is not.

We use Basecamp and some of the Google products to manage the project and share the requirements. We also use Basecamp as our main communication channel because it has visibility to all of the participants.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Vardot’s technical knowledge, understanding, experience, and dedication are impressive. They’re very dedicated to their work, and they strive to deliver quality products.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’ve already discussed with them that the initial time planning could have been improved. Although Vardot expressed their limitations since the beginning, we started hitting other limitations and speedbumps along the way.

For example, as this was a global project, we didn’t foresee that they had different holidays than us in their region, which also differed from holidays in America. All of this caused delays, and the timeline estimations could have improved. However, it was a lesson for all of us.

Project Communication Manager, Global Communities

**The Review** — Jun 1, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: The site developed by Vardot works fantastically, and it hasn’t presented errors nor bugs. It’s functional, optimized, and has a great design. The team is client-oriented, responsive, tech-savvy, and professional. They’re dedicated to the project, and they work extra time to meet deadlines.
"“Whenever we have a concern, they always have a solution.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

Global Communities is an implementer of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) youth project. We’re currently implementing a youth-led project called USAID Youth Power Activity, and I'm the communications manager for it.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vardot?

We were tasked to design a digital platform for a large-scale website that was going to be used to engage youth, build their capacity, and ensure that they maintain a positive view of development. There was a challenge and a big vision behind the portal because it was basically four platforms in one. We engaged with Vardot to help us with this project.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Before we initiated developing the portal, we had several brainstorming sessions and meetings. Vardot offered very interesting methodologies, and they were able to understand and transcribe our mission and vision behind the portal. Through this, we were able to overcome the big business complication, which was aligning the vision behind the portal with actual physical capacities and know-hows.

Vardot was our technology partner and implementer. They planned, designed, and built the portal and some of its components from scratch. They used Drupal, mainly in the open-source form.

Additionally, Vardot has been involved in technical support and continuous digital delivery, which is basically having them with us after the platform’s launch to maintain the portal and make sure that it's working. They’re in charge of supporting us and advising us on data storage servers and other technical aspects.

What is the team composition?

There have been around 8–10 people involved in the project from Vardot’s team. There’s a project director, a project manager, a technical supervisor, a senior UI/UX designer, a rich internet application expert, and a head designer. My main point of contact is the project director.

How did you come to work with Vardot?

We put out a request for application (RFA) on local newspapers through digital media, print newspapers, and social media, and Vardot applied.

When we drafted our RFA, we received lots of questions from different companies that were competing to win this project. Their questions were about the large scale of the work itself — they were feeling that we didn’t have a coherent vision of the portal. This was not the case with Vardot.

We didn’t personally choose them; there was an evaluation committee that went through all of the applications received through the RFA, and they selected Vardot.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $70,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in December 2020. We finished the main product, but we signed with them again for the continuous digital delivery. Working on a digital website never ends because optimization requires an ongoing partnership.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When testing the responsiveness, scalability, and compatibility of the site, there haven’t been technical errors or bugs — our site is perfect. It’s optimized, and we can complete tasks within all of the areas, even with a poor internet connection. I'm very happy with this company because we ended up with a very good design with very high functionality.

How did Vardot perform from a project management standpoint?

Vardot meets all of the deadlines. During development, they utilized Agile methodologies, which were systematic — I really liked that about their project management. In order to meet the deadline, sometimes we had to follow the same line processes and do tasks in parallel, but eventually, all of the deadlines were met.

Even in times where we didn’t feel that we would be meeting the deadline, Vardot was committed to having their staff work overtime. One time, we were expected to do some sort of a demo. A minister of youth in Jordan had the team working during the holiday for everything to go faster. For communication, they use Basecamp. We also have a weekly meeting via Google Meets.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The aspect I like the most about Vardot is they’re very responsive and professional. I don't recall ever contacting them without having their project manager following up with us, either by email or phone. Whenever we have a concern, they always have a solution. Their dedication is also great. They're very client-oriented and tech-savvy.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Vardot has been perfect in all areas.

Any advice for potential customers?

Listen to their advice. If you have any concerns, reach up to them because they have business insight and technical savviness. Make sure to maintain a transparent approach with them, share with them your deadlines, and discuss everything with them. Always make sure that you get a time estimate from Vardot before jumping into the project and guessing how much time things will take on the go.

**Feedback Summary**: Vardot delivered a high-quality platform. Although it was an unconventional development environment, the team was nimble and quickly addressed any issues that arose. The team was proactive throughout and anticipated challenges along the way. They even added extra features at no surcharge.
"“The CMS is stable and we’re happy with the current state of the project.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a consultant at a company that’s not publicly launched at the moment.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vardot?

I’m doing a media project in Iraq and needed a partner that had experience working in the Middle East. We needed a team that was familiar with Arabic that could do a knowledge transfer to help our internal team manage the project themselves.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Vardot helped us come up with the technical architecture and strategy for our Drupal site. The team was able to come with a plan to get us to market. They helped us devise a plan of what to build, how we’d build it, and why.

The team also worked on the entire UX. They did the wireframes, the user journeys, flows, and design concepts for each screen. Vardot carried that design into the implementation. They delivered developed features of our website in incremental phases.

What is the team composition?

We worked with a project manager as our main point of contact. We also worked with a technical lead from time to time.

How did you come to work with Vardot?

I’ve known them for many years and have worked with them to build other media projects in the Middle East. I had a high-quality experience with them in the past and knew they’d be able to fill in the gaps with any uncertainty based on their expertise. I also chose them because they had the best experience in Drupal.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $67,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in February 2020, and we wrapped up in October 2020. They completed the project but we haven’t launched due to some staffing issues.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The overall quality was great. It was a project that was being developed and tested at the same time. It was a very unconventional development style but Vardot was good at quickly addressing issues that came up. The CMS is stable and we’re happy with the current state of the project.

How did Vardot perform from a project management standpoint?

We used Basecamp for primary communication. We also used issue trackers. Once the development was completed, we also used a different bug tracking tool that was managed by a separate team.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their foresight was impressive. They were able to aptly anticipate the needs of the project and the client. I’ve worked with other teams on CMS projects. It was refreshing for them to be a few steps ahead and anticipate the challenges I’ve faced with other companies. They went above and beyond and added some features that weren’t even in the scope at no additional cost.

Are there any areas they could improve?

This project was a bit bumpy. Any issues I had I can attribute to the project itself. There was a shift in management during the project that shifted a lot of components. Vardot didn’t let those internal politics get in the way of their delivery.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure that you have someone with project management experience working with them. Have someone who can act on behalf of the customer and the client.

**The Review** — Mar 22, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: The partner, including executive management members, was satisfied with the high quality of work delivered. The team provided a straightforward CMS that the internal staff is able to update on their own without hassle. Their flexibility in completing tasks outside of the project scope added value.
""They had a high attention to detail, flexibility, and were committed to timelines."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the senior ICT and operations manager at Questscope, a nonprofit organization for social development in the Middle East. We have a mentoring program that helps juvenile centers and refugees overcome any traumas from war or experiences they’ve had.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vardot?

Our website used an old technology that was obsolete. We had many major security problems. We needed a comprehensive website that would reflect the work we’re doing in the field. We needed to include more information about our work and overcome the challenges we had with our old website.

We decided to allocate a budget for that. We wanted a website that was user-friendly with a good CMS that could help the non-technical users like my team add new content and update the website on a regular basis.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We had an initial meeting with them. We were introduced to the team and chatted about our current problems with the website, telling them what we needed. Then, we had the kickoff meeting for the whole project, which started with the analysis of information. Following that meeting, they returned with a solid project plan that detailed their vision for the website as well as the general timeline. I agreed to the project plan, and we started the work.

They provided the concept design for the website. After selecting that, they started building the homepage. After our approval, they started expanding to the wireframes of the whole website. They started to add new pages. We were including every step of the way, checking with us about large and small details. After approving the design, they started adding the content. In the RFP, I mentioned we needed a bilingual website Due to lack of content from our side, I asked them to finish the English side and we’d continue with the Arabic content after receiving the content.

They continued with the design and development of the website. After approving all the content and pages, they started moving to the actual development side. Until this moment, we have the staging environment and the live site, which provides me with the ability to test things before launching them. That’s a great feature. They built the website on Drupal. After the go-live, we kept a maintenance and support contract with them.

What is the team composition?

I worked with the account director and an account manager. From the development team, I worked with some of the engineers. My main contact was the account manager. There were three people from our team working with them.

How did you come to work with Vardot?

I did an online search for local companies here in Jordan. We interviewed different companies and chose Vardot. They stood out to me in the reviews I read.

In the original proposal, we put the scores in front of the vendors and told them we’re going to be analyzing their offers. It wasn’t solely based on price— other companies provided more affordable estimates. However, their online portfolio, the list of clients that they’ve worked with, and testimonies from past clients made them stand out. The technical approach they provided in their original offer is what made their offer the most competitive.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $15,000 JOD (approximately $21,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from February–July 2020.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They provided a very good system. The end result was totally approved by us. When we went live, we did an internal meeting with our top management and shared the website with them. The response was quite satisfying. This is when we knew they did a great job. I’m satisfied with the CMS, the look and feel of the website, and the user journey.

They added new features that we weren’t able to add to the previous website— that was a success. They also gave us great technical training on how to use the website and CMS. They’re very knowledgeable in that field. We trying to add new pages and content ourselves, and it’s been working great so far. I only had to extend a customer support ticket a couple of times for something that was deeply technical and needed a programmer to solve. One of our key success factors from the project is our ability to able to continue the work with minimal interference from the service provider.

How did Vardot perform from a project management standpoint?

We received updates on a daily basis using Basecamp. It’d show the progress and any issues. They introduced us to all the tools necessary for this project. We had weekly meetings to show progress and resolve any issues. I’d call them as well and confirm tasks on Basecamp.

They were very flexible and task-oriented. They stuck to the timeframe and delivery schedule. If we missed any deadline, it was because of us. Our main issue was with the preparation of the content, which was on our end as well. At the same time, they showed great flexibility in helping us with design deliverables that were beyond the scope.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They had a high attention to detail, flexibility, and were committed to timelines.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could take their prices down a little bit.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Go for it. Remember to do your homework first. Know what you need to have prepared— there’s no shame in asking them. Have everything written and approved.

**Feedback Summary**: The website is already receiving positive feedback about its look and feel. Vardot implements a clear structure in their project management style. They adjusted to scope changes and followed through on commitments. Availability and excellent communication are hallmarks of their work.
"“They gave this confidence that shows they know how to build trust.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the communications officer of an international organization.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vardot?

We wanted to revamp our website in terms of its design and look. However, we also wanted to build some more features because the site was a bit outdated and not editor-friendly. We wanted to have the ability to add more images, play around with videos, tweak colors, and those sorts of things.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Vardot revamped our website from our existing Drupal code. For some of the features we asked for, they had to completely build those from scratch. For example, we asked them to build a searchable menu. Because we didn’t previously have that functionality, the Vardot team developed that feature from scratch. The overall work was a mix of building from our existing code and developing new functionalities.

They built our website with SEO in mind. For example, we have headers. Their team created a graphic that allows us to see if a title in a header is too long. So, the overall site is SEO-friendly because of the details they implemented. The Vardot team gave us some training as well. They provided us with some documentation as well as steps and tips to undertake internally in efforts to increase our SEO rankings. Their team is also tasked to do ongoing maintenance and improvement.

What is the team composition?

There have been 5–6 people working with us. We have a project manager who is our main point of contact. Sometimes, her supervisor steps in as well. They also pull in others as needed. For example, there was an issue with Google Analytics so they called in their Google Analytics expert. There were also different team members who gave the training.

How did you come to work with Vardot?

We had an open procurement process. Our organization had a call for orders, and there were many companies who applied. We put together the terms of reference for what we wanted and companies applied for about two or so weeks. It was an open competition, and we had some internal parameters as well.

Our selection was based on a matter of budget as well as reputation. One of the conditions was to provide reviews. Our team checked references and previous work. There were a lot of elements that went into the decisions and selecting who would receive the award under the contract. We had about 50 companies apply, and we chose Vardot in the end.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested around $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement started in July 2020.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We just launched two weeks ago and are already receiving positive feedback from our audience. They praise the website for how nice and modern it looks. Our team is very happy with the result. The website is much more appealing in terms of its visual identity. It has a lot of new features. We’re still trying to figure things out internally because we have a lot more capabilities now in terms of using graphics and photos. There are different types of displays that we didn’t have before.

What I appreciate about Vardot’s work is their availability. They really listen to us. We enjoyed their training and availability to show everyone how the different features work. Having a website that’s more user-friendly, editor-friendly, and has more features that allow us to show the results of our work in a more appealing way is a huge improvement.

Vardot built a knowledge library, and we’re now populating it. We’re an organization that generates a lot of knowledge in terms of publications and reports. These aren’t just from us; we’re a member-based organization so there are a lot of organizations involved. We want to use the knowledge library to reflect on all of the work of our membership. They’ve opened up the possibility to better display and raise our communications profile on the web. I’m confident about the new features and capabilities.

How did Vardot perform from a project management standpoint?

We really liked that they implemented a clear project management process. Vardot always told us what was happening and what they were working on, walking us through phases and timelines. Additionally, they were good with meeting deadlines. Their team required input from us. It was a challenge for us to be reactive, on time, and to keep to the timeline. Sometimes, that was a bit of an issue but it was more on our side.

In the end, there was a two-week delay but it’s because there were a series of things we needed to do first. Pages had to be changed and rebuilt. It took us longer to handle those. Vardot follows through on commitments. They do what they say, and say what they do.

We use Basecamp for project management. Our teams utilize it for messaging, tasks, and topics. Additionally, we have weekly check-in calls as well as ad-hoc calls but we’re in contact daily. They’re responsive, and we get answers quickly. Vardot is definitely client-oriented. They’re active listeners and great at solving issues. Working with them is very smooth.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their responsiveness, client orientation, and the well-structured way they communicate and work in general. The kickoff meeting was super clear. From our first interaction, we could see they work with high-quality standards as well as were very reliable and professional. Over time, we built a trustworthy relationship which is very important for the implementation of this type of project.

They thoroughly laid everything out, leaving no details behind. That was extremely good for us because it allowed us to plan on our end. They provide excellent communication and availability. Whenever there’s an issue, we can talk to someone quickly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’ve had some issues with our web hosting, which needed to be improved to match the needs of the new website and be able to run all the new functionalities. This is managed by a different company so there were some delays due to the needed coordination. This was unexpected but the issue probably could have been identified earlier.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear about what you want and what is required from you at each step of the process. If you present a clear agenda, they will meet your needs and expectations and deliver high-quality standards

**Feedback Summary**: By developing a tickets page integrated with Salesforce, Vardot exceeded expectations because the request was outside the scope of work. At each stage of the project, they produced deliverables that satisfied various stakeholders. Their organization and communication led to a seamless partnership.
""The whole process was really smooth, and we had no troubles. Everything was perfect."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

We’re an outsourcing company that hires people from different professions at different professional levels. We have 3,000 employees, including the head office and the outsourced employees themselves.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vardot?

We brought Vardot on board to develop our company’s website.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Vardot managed the project, which had three phases: requirements analysis, development, and deployment. We asked Vardot for ideas, and their team gave us three design samples. After we fell in love with one option, we gave Vardot the greenlight to use it. Their team built the website in Drupal.

What is the team composition?

We exclusively communicated with Vardot’s account manager who was with us from beginning to end.

How did you come to work with Vardot?

Our internal process requires that we get quotes from three vendors. We chose Vardot based on their technical experience and financial bid.

How much have you invested with them?

The project cost $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with Vardot between July–December 2020.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We established a committee with members from our finance, HR, business excellence, and technical support departments. Each member provided feedback to Vardot and approved each stage as their team finished them. We never ran into obstacles with a committee member. The committee immediately gave us their consent to proceed to the next phase of the project. We announced the successful delivery of the website to our CEO who was happy with it.

How did Vardot perform from a project management standpoint?

Their communication made this project easy. We had one point of contact from Vardot’s and used Basecamp, which was a useful tool that I could use on any device. When their team posted or replied to one of our messages, I received a notification. After Vardot posted a message, we made comments until our teams reached a unified agreement. We also attached the required documents to posts. There weren’t any overwhelming email chains.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Vardot created a page for tickets that transferred to our internal Salesforce. We didn’t know how to build this page and handed Vardot our Salesforce code to embed it into our website. Even though this request was outside the scope, they designed and built the page for us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The whole process was really smooth, and we had no troubles. Everything was perfect.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I would recommend anyone to Vardot, telling them to go ahead.

**Feedback Summary**: The company's internal teams including management are happy with the results of the project. They all like the improved designs, new features, as well as the better UX. The company appreciates the Vardot team's communication, cooperativeness, and hands-on style in implementing the migration.
""We have been delighted with the whole process and the ongoing support/maintenance service we're receiving."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

The Company, Radiant Vision Systems, designs and manufactures high-end electronic systems: imaging photometers, colorimeters, and specialized lenses for light and color measurement. I am in the marketing department and was responsible for coordinating the website project with Vardot

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Vardot, and what were your goals?

We had a large B2B website, content dense, integrated with Marketo, in two languages (EN and CN) that had been built on Drupal 7. Due to Drupal 7 end of life, we had to migrate to Drupal 8, which would involve a complete rebuild of the site structure, and then migrating over the hundreds of pages of content and content assets that we had.

During it's lifetime, the D7 site had also accrued a number of changes and features that made it very unwieldy and frustrating to use on the back-end. The website is a very important tool in our global marketing and lead generation, a critical channel for providing the rich technical content (e.g., Webinars, White papers) that our engineering customers want to see. Our goals with the project were:

we wanted to make some improvements to site design, navigation, and user experience
Needed to ensure continuity of all site functions, integration, etc. for lead gen and extensive tracking
Wanted an improved back-end experience for our internal users who are on the website almost daily updating and creating content.
We wanted a partner who would not just execute the migration effectively, but who would also contribute design recommendations, help us adopt best practices for a modern, mobile-responsive site an optimize the user experience.
We had not been happy with our prior vendor's customer service, effort to solve problems, or even just basic QA of work they did as our ongoing maintenance/service vendor.
We really wanted to find a vendor who would be more responsive and quality oriented.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select Vardot and what were the deciding factors?

We did a broad search for Drupal vendors, talked to and solicited proposals from about 6 different firms.

In their proposal and in video presentation and conference calls with Vardot we were impressed with their professionalism and polish, with their expert level of competency with Drupal, their clean design aesthetic, and their responsiveness/customer service focus that was evident from the very first contact.

There were 4 of us who participated in the decision-making process to select a vendor, and we were all unanimous in our choice of Vardot.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Migrating a large B2B website from Drupal 7 Drupal 8, including: Discovery/discussion of both design and functional requirements, goals, preferences Design phase - we were presented with redesigned pages for review and approval, allowing for multiple revisions until we were completely happy with the proposed designs.

Then moving into the development/building phase, followed by automated migration of large amounts of our content (saving a lot of time!) We were able to see and test all site pages on a staging site prior to launch.

The launch itself went so smoothly, we just went to bed one night and came back online in the morning and there it was without a hitch. Subsequently, Vardot has continued to be fast and responsive doing the inevitable minor changes and fixing little glitches that only become evident in live environment.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We had one dedicated project manager who coordinated with the designer and the development teams on our behalf. She has been awesome. We also had a regular technical/development contact as we worked on various site elements.

A director and other various team members have also been part of the communication loop, ensuring that any questions we had or requests we ,made were addressed promptly.

On the support side, there are several folks responding to any tickets or questions we submit, always within LESS than 24 hours of when we submit even the most low priority request. Responses are always thorough and accurate, fixes applied are correct and effective. The service is fantastic.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Both our marketing project team and others in the company (including our CEO) are very happy with the result. The launch went smoothly in both US and China simultaneously.

Everyone likes the new design and improved features of the site for user experience. And our internal admins and content managers are very happy with the improvements in back-end site operations. Project came in on time and on budget.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

Project management style is communicative, collaborative, and very hands-on, with thorough (but not excessive) documentation of project steps, dates, deliverables, and both client and customer expectations and responsibilities.

Excellent communication and responsive with tracking tools and systems that kept things moving forward. Such as Basecamp for managing tasks and sharing files, and a collaboration tool during the design processes that made it easy for us to review and add comments directly onto page designs.

We are in Pacific Time zone and much of the project team was in Jordan, but we barely noticed any communication issues due to time zone, due to their rapid responses.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their customer service is top notch, we always felt well taken care of, problems were solved quickly, new solutions and options suggested, and proactive management of many elements we didn't even think of such that they never even became issues.

These folks really know their stuff re: Drupal and website design/dev/function/best practices. We have been delighted with the whole process and the ongoing support/maintenance service we're receiving.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not a thing.

""They are always approachable. They are an excellent firm."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

Communications officer in charge of managing websites' developments

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Vardot, and what were your goals?

Our website was old, cumbersome to add content and difficult to navigate on a mobile. We desperately needed to move to a more agile and easy to navigate site.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select Vardot and what were the deciding factors?

As part of the United Nations, all our procurement is through and open and transparent process. There were over 20 companies bidding. The procurement process involved 5 staff reviewing following a rigorous evaluation process set by the UN.

Vardot was selected as they offered the best price, the best services and put together a strong proposal. They also offered a good customer service policy once the website was to be launched.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had initial virtual calls then Vardot's team came to our offices to meet with our Comms team. They led an all staff meeting to get our staffs' feedback into what the new site could/shouldn't be. They held departmental meetings with each Unit to get their feedback and to learn what content was needed for the new site.

They met with the Senior Leadership Team to learn what their needs and expectations were. They took all this information back and put together a detailed workplan with key deliverables. Using Basecamp progress was tracked. When we missed deadlines, Vardot was good at reminding us and shifting plans so that they could deliver on time. Vardot delivered on time and the site went live in July 2020.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

To set up the contract and initial meetings, we worked with the CEO and project manager. Our day to day work was with the project manager, a coordinator and a site development team.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Clients love the new site. Our board of directors is impressed with the way our impact is presented (spend rate, numbers achieved). Traffic continues to increase to our site. They provided 4hrs of virtual Drupal training.

They have provided additional training when we requested training on SEO and google analytics. The Project manager arranged for a person from their marketing team to give us the training. This was over and above our contract and their genuine interest in helping our organization succeed was appreciated.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

They use Basecamp as a communications tool as well as google docs to share online tables and progress.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They provide excellent customer service. They are always approachable. They don't make you feel silly for not understanding web development or CMS.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They are an excellent firm.

**The Review** — Sep 17, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: Thanks to the efforts of the team, the new site launched less than six months. The company has been getting several pieces of positive feedback from end users for the project. The company appreciated how the team's project management documented everything making it all easier to organize.
""They are knowledgeable about best practices across products and branding."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am a content strategy and publishing consultant for the IASLC, which is a small medical nonprofit association with approximately 8,000 members around the world.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Vardot, and what were your goals?

The IASLC had an incredibly complex DNN-based website that was super rigid and segmented. Being a small nonprofit in a larger space increases the importance of being able to be timely and relevant with digital content, across devices and geographic divides, for the society.

They needed a site that made more of their products and resources visible and that drew some direct correlations between the good work of their committees to the impact on daily clinical care for patients with lung cancer. They also needed a site that was easy to maintain.

In addition, although the website is a tool in the overall content and marketing strategy for the association, the backend of Drupal is organized and efficient, thereby driving some process creation and improvement for the society.

Being able to store and search media seems like a very small thing, but it has broken down some silos and driven process efficiency.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select Vardot and what were the deciding factors?

Vardot's presentation and RFP was very impressive. The level of technical understanding and achievements were obvious. The main factor that impressed everyone, however, was their customization of the presentation to the society's needs and goals.

Other organizations gave their typical sales pitch, with specifics peppered throughout. Vardot took the time to make customized mock ups, lists of specific improvements they would implement to meet goals, and suggestions for future growth.

If they put that much work into an RFP, how much energy would they put into creating the website and managing the account? They were the clear choice.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

This is definitely too long to detail here, but IASLC wanted a company that could: create a beautiful functional website that was intuitive for users and admins, use SEO, offer flexibility, and not break the bank.

Vardot used a discovery process, which I assisted, weekly meetings, wireframes, and dev site review to ensure that client satisfaction was achieved.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked mainly with Israa Ahmad, although other staff rotated in and out as necessary. I cannot say enough good things about Israa as a project manager.

She was continuously available, took the time to truly understand content and goals, was extremely organized, had meticulous attention to detail, worked within the confines of budget and an extremely tight timeline, and served as a knowledge expert for staff working on other key technology projects that would eventually integrate with the website.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The site was delivered in 5.5 months and was a dramatic improvement over the pre-existing site. After the unveiling to specific committees, an outpouring of positive feedback was received.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

Israa was amazing as a project manager. She was meticulous, professional, knowledgeable, and always available. She used email, Zoom, and Basecamp to document EVERYTHING, including items for future phases as they were discussed. Timelines were outlined in the RFP proposal and presentation.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I love that Vardot offers a wide array of technology services. They are knowledgeable about best practices across products and branding. Israa herself was impressive in terms of the detailed organization and constant communication.

And honestly, their pricing and sincerity sets them apart from competitors in terms of actually delivering on every promise within budget.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I honestly cannot think of one.

We wanted to redesign our website. We needed a platform that was functional for students and effective for marketing the school. We also wanted the website to be easy to navigate on smartphones, tablets, and computers.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Vardot redesigned our website on Drupal 7. They created various functionalities including a store and an application portal for interested students. Their team also built a portal into the website where people could submit applications for employment. They also created a 3D virtual tour of the school.

They make regular updates as well as host and maintain the platform. Their team will start another redesign of our website on Drupal 9.

What is the team composition?

I've communicated with two people from Vardot.

How did you come to work with Vardot?

We surveyed the market for website developers in Jordan. We wanted a local vendor that understood the market and could visit the school. We looked at a bunch of companies, but Vardot was by far the best.

How much have you invested with them?

The website redesign cost between $20,000–$25,000. We pay them about $3,000 a year for updates and hosting.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started the project around August 2015 and launched the website in December 2015. We just signed with them last week to redo the website again.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We receive between 8,000–10,000 hits to the website per month, which is a lot in Jordan. The platform also always ranks on the first page of Google search results. The website effectively directs traffic to our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts too. All of the parents who register at our school tell us that the website was helpful and made them choose us. It's amazing.

How did Vardot perform from a project management standpoint?

We initially communicated via email but a couple of years ago, they switched to a ticket system. Their team usually gets back to us within 24 hours. They’re a great team.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their reliability’s the reason that we signed on with them again. After launching the website, they worked with us to tweak the website. We’re a school, so we constantly change. Their team supports us in those changes. They’re extremely helpful when we want to add certain pages, remove certain content, and change pages' layouts.

Are there any areas they could improve?

To be honest, I can’t think of any improvements. They’re slightly more expensive than their competition, but it’s worth it.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They’re a small company with a lot of heart. There are huge firms where you don’t know who’s running what. I meet with Vardot’s CEO all the time. Over the last five years, I’ve worked with the same team, which has been really nice.

**The Review** — Jul 1, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: Vardot's work helped the client's reputation improve and has contributed to an increase in writing requests all resulting in positive praise for the platform. The team was excellent to work with and was able to work across languages. They were well-placed to understand challenges.
""I liked the combination of global awareness and best-practice in digital publishing."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

Executive publisher responsible for wireframing and planning the relaunch of an online news company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Vardot?

Vardot have key experience in creating publishing platforms in the region, and they also speak and can read Arabic. The ability to follow best-practice globally as well as customizing for the region was key.

What were your goals for this project?

A more human interface, connected into a syndication cms. Mobile ready, with a modular assembly meaning elements can be switched around depending on editorial workflow.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

Based on their work with Al Jazeera website.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

Vardot were important for discussing the website from a digital publishing perspective; this was their core competency. They advised on wireframing and also were able to make suggestions to the editorial and development teams, based on our requirements.

What was the team composition?

Project lead from myself, with an Amman development team taking over once development began. As such Vardot worked with editorial and dev on the specification.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Our reputation has certainly improved. I have noticed that the number of requests to write for the platform, and receive a portfolio page, has probably increased by 50%. Equally, our long-reads or "Insights" section has received a significant amount of praise from writers and academics. Because the website looks more serious, we are better able to source expert commentary.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Vardot were a good team to work with, because they could process detailed development requests from the Arabic and English editorial teams, working across languages and requirements. Ultimately they would often have to harmonize these requirements culturally - Arabic appears from right to left, but also has visual and style aspects that can be different to an English platform. Vardot were well placed to understand these challenges.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I liked the combination of global awareness and best-practice in digital publishing specifically, alongside an ability to work with a local team in Amman, in Arabic.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Initial timescales were not realistic, but I understand that sometimes this is part of the vendor process in the Middle East. Vardot also expanded development capacity on this project when deadlines were running tight, which we appreciated.

**The Review** — Jun 10, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: Vardot delivered intuitive and streamlined websites that received positive feedback from administrators and external users alike. The team’s adaptable and collaborative approach to the design phase ensured successful final products. They worked diligently to ensure the project remained on schedule.
""Vardot’s project management was a cut above the competition."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a marketing and communications specialist for the American School of Dubai. We’re a pre-K to twelfth-grade nonprofit international school.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vardot?

We needed a new website. We wanted an open source product to align with our new enterprise system. We were on a proprietary school-specific website but wanted to move away from the cookie-cutter model. We wanted a product with more flexibility.

We not only needed an external website but also an internal website. We had all of our users on an internal, private, and secure intranet. After 10 years in use, we had a messy system. The internal site was also on the old version of Google Sites, which were to be retired.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Vardot provided the sites' architectures. Their team directed all of the design phases and worked with our marketing and communications team. Then, they went through the programming. Their team offered training to the people who would use the system. They followed these processes for both the external and the internal websites.

They built both the sites on Drupal. For the internal website, they worked on a single sign-on through Google for all of our faculty, staff, employees, and students.

What is the team composition?

We had a main point of contact for project management and another point of contact who led the development. For the design phases, we worked with both of those people. There was certainly a team of 4–5 people working with us, but there could’ve been more.

How did you come to work with Vardot?

We put an RFP together and researched universities’ and international schools’ websites. We looked at who built those websites and found Vardot. We directly spoke to five different companies after the RFP process. Vardot won the bid in the end.

How much have you invested with them?

The total billing was about $30,000. There’s a maintenance contract on top of that. Their price was reasonable.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began the work in May 2019, and their team completed the first website in January 2020. They’re currently finalizing the second website

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The engagement was a resounding success based on the reactions from our community and other schools. Comparted to two years ago, it’s easier for us to new upload content. The content on our old external website was about four years old because it was difficult to edit and upload. The new website is much more flexible, so we’re able to add pages on the fly and add content daily.

How did Vardot perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team managed the project through Basecamp, which allowed us to refer back to all of the project plans. We communicated through Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Zoom. Their communication was efficient and effective. Vardot also had a good ticket system to address issues.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication was clear and simple. Vardot’s project management was a cut above the competition. They kept us up to date and stuck to the timeline. We held up the project on our end, but their recovered that time by working overtime. That was excellent.

During the design phase, they gave us multiple options. Vardot was patient and worked with our own designers to come up with a good product. Their team was flexible with our design changes too.

They also just did an excellent job. The final product was slick and matched the design, which is unusual. The website didn’t need much debugging because it was so well executed.

Their team also had excellent training documentation. We were able to look at the documents to solve challenges on our own.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Honestly, not really. When we went through the RFP process, we thought that they weren’t as strong in the design field. In the end, they exceeded our expectations with their designs.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I recommended them to many people already.

**The Review** — Feb 19, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: The improved system and new card purchasing site have already delivered a greater ROI than the original amount spent in development, pleasing all project stakeholders and completely satisfying project requirements. The Vardot team is highly organized, professional, and proactive with communication.
"“It felt like they were always presenting realistic timelines rather than just promising things they might not deliver.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am a deputy director of strategic partnerships at a UN agency focused on services to refugees in the eastern Mediterranean region.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vardot?

We wanted to improve our donation website in 2018, and we did that by expanding services that were already in place by Vardot at the time so that we could modernize and streamline our donation platform.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Their team started by analyzing and improving the donor journey itself. We felt that there wasn’t a lot of emphasis on individual donations, so they helped us to redesign the flow in a way that would be more user-friendly, informational, and directive of supporters to the right path for them. Verdot is not a payment platform, so they worked closely with another vendor to help integrate the website with Salesforce.

Another main feature that they helped us with was our expanded payment modalities, allowing our team to incorporate PayPal as a payment method. On top of that, they built an entirely new system using Drupal that functions as an online boutique that allows first-time supporters of the agency to purchase electronic cards for their friends and family members that would be sent out through us for any major holiday and also support our cause.

What is the team composition?

I had one main point of contact with them who had the know-how to answer all of our questions and prioritize workloads for her colleagues, but I’m not sure how many people were on their team in total.

How did you come to work with Vardot?

I had received very positive feedback from my colleagues who had worked with them in the past. They were selected on a waiver several years ago because they were local, but the relationship has been very successful over the years so it was an easy decision to continue working with them.

How much have you invested with them?

The cost from January 2018 was approximately $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them on the project from January 2018–February 2019.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The gift for refugees program was designed very quickly under a great deal of pressure to finish before the holidays, but we’ve already had a full return on the investment we made in the very short period since that program has been live. I think that really speaks to the quality of their work because it’s clear that there are no hiccups in the process at all.

They do a great job of balancing the technology of the product so that it’s easy to use with the creative ideas and designs from our team in order to make our services a little more unique and customized than you might expect from something built this quickly.

How did Vardot perform from a project management standpoint?

One of their strengths is their ability to be totally honest about timelines, even when we are applying pressure to get things done as quickly as possible. They demonstrated the integrity to tell me exactly what they could deliver and when, and it felt like they were always presenting realistic timelines rather than just promising things they might not deliver. For the most part, our communication took place via phone, email, or face-to-face meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We occasionally had problems with our other two vendors in terms of integrating the various payment services that we needed, and Vardot was always on top of communication and collaboration with the other teams, even when they were not. Our project manager, in particular, was always proactive, and that helped us to stay on track which in turn helped save our agency money, and that is always a big deal for a charity organization like ours.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It seemed to me that they were somewhat limited by their exclusive use of Drupal for the new website, but the product that they delivered was very high quality in the end so that was not a big problem for us.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Vardot?

We wanted a Jordan-based Drupal company to take over our website development and hosting and we chose Vardot for this purpose. We were already working with school-specialized Drupal website development company in the US, but were not happy with their service. We have both a public website and an internal portal.

What were your goals for this project?

--Transfer all work to Jordan and work with a company that was locally-based --Develop and grow the website and the internal portal

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

We researched website companies in Jordan that work with Drupal and met with a few. Vardot's work and client list stood out from the start, so we went with them.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

The provided support for our two websites (internal and external) and helped us develop the sites extensively over the four to five years we worked with them. They were also handling the hosting of our two sites.

What was the team composition?

Small team of dedicated people. I think we worked with around five to seven people overall.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Our website and internal portal became stronger and better than they ever were prior to working with Vardot. We knew from the analytics that traffic was increasing to our sites.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Efficient, well-organized and responsive team. Ticketing system worked well. Nothing was ever impossible.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their dedication to our project, the personal attention, the follow-up, the can-do attitude, the amount of time they spent working on our project and our problems to find viable solutions to everything, the way they treated our project as their own -- as if they had as much a stake in its success as we do.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Everything was great.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

The ForUS platform/portal is a national initiative by the King Abdullah Fund for Development (KAFD) to facilitate career opportunities for the Jordanian youth and unemployed. Besides job vacancies; the portal features integrations with strategic partners that provide volunteering work, critical skill development courses and e-mentorship. The discovery stage was very quick and thorough in terms of gathering requirements and establishing objectives. We established strategic partnerships early on as well to identify all integrations required. The integrations were started as soon as we received and approved the wireframes and designs. An initiation stage was necessary due to the fact that we needed 3 of our team members to be trained by Vardot’s technical and project teams for the duration of the project delivery process. The website was developed and delivered on the timeline agreed between us.

What was the team composition?

The team was composed of a project manager who led communications and coordinations between ourselves and Vardot. The team of course included: 2 x Senior Web Developers 1 x Junior Web Developer 1 x QA Engineer Add to that; our own 3 trainees that received training from Vardot in Drupal and project management.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We received positive reviews from all the early testing regarding the ease of navigation and user-friendliness of the UX across all devices. We were most impressed with the impact that the new Drupal CMS made on our on-site SEO performance. Our team is comprised of a number of users with various publishing permissions and with the new CMS installed the publishing process became more streamlined and easily managed.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The workflow was smooth and easy. The project manager communicated updates with us on a daily basis via BaseCamp and phone. Of course, our 3 team members communication in person with Vardot team throughout the project delivery.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was very impressed with their strict adherence to agreed-upon timelines and delivery deadlines. The project was delivered on schedule. The designs as well and attention to UX was impressive. Our team members also conveyed to us their joy at spending time within a large team and how much they benefited from Vardot’s expertise in Drupal.

Are there any areas for improvement?

As I mentioned earlier; the experience was both impressive and hassle-free. I highly recommend Vardot and will look forward to any future ventures that arise between us.

**The Review** — Jul 28, 2019

**Feedback Summary**: Delivering a responsive and attractive platform, Vardot helped yield a 600% increase in traffic, which has contributed to revenue growth. Their skill, workflow, and attention to detail continue to impress.
"“We’re impressed with their passion for offering solutions.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the CEO of Mkateb.com, a one-stop retail shop offering stationery, office supplies, and digital printing services. Our platform also acts as a multichannel logistics hub and distributor.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Vardot?

We hired Vardot to improve our old website, which had a lot of technical bugs and SEO issues.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to launch an enhanced and professional e-commerce website that would be our main platform for online purchases and inventory. The old Magento platform was outdated and not mobile-friendly, resulting in poor customer experience and lost sales.

We wanted to have a site that was more visually appealing, interactive, and responsive. For example, we wanted to improve the site’s search functionality and product catalog. It also had to be compatible with social media and other modern technology.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

We searched for reputable vendors in the Middle East that could provide e-commerce website design and development services. Vardot had the best portfolio out of four candidates with similar services.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

Vardot redesigned and rebuilt our e-commerce site using Drupal. Initially, we had several rounds of feedback on the platform’s design to ensure that it would align with our objectives.

The team then seamlessly migrated our platform from an old version of Magento to Drupal, which is much more flexible. They were quite excited to show us the platform’s new features during our training sessions.

We asked them for features that would allow us to run better campaigns, such as discounts and coupons. After we edited the products, Vardot launched the website on a hosting server they manage. They continue to provide regular support and maintenance for the platform.

What was the team composition?

We work mainly with two people from Vardot, a project manager and a technical team lead. The team also included designers and developers and testers.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Our organic traffic has increased by over 600% due to better SEO. As a result, our sales have also gone up. Plus, we can easily run sales campaigns on the site with a quick time to market.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The engagement is going quite smoothly. We communicate online through a project management system that allows us to upload files, comment on discussions, and follow up on milestones. We also comment on designs using InVision. After we went live, Vardot provided an online ticketing system that allows us to report issues and specify their urgency.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We’re impressed with their passion for offering solutions. They anticipate problems and deliver well beyond the project scope. The quality-price ratio is also quite impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I have nothing to highlight for improvement.

"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the associate director of outreach at American Muslims for Palestine. I was one of two leads on the website project with Vardot.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vardot?

Our website wasn’t user-friendly, and we wanted to redesign it to improve user access. We also wanted our website to reflect our growth and brand evolution.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They did full-stack web development from our design specs, using Drupal on the backend and InDesign and InVision on the frontend. The new features include categorized content, a company description tab, a new color scheme, video display, social media integration, and a more prominent donate button. We also can now preview images for use on the site. They currently host the site and make any requested changes.

What is the team composition?

I interacted with two of the four people working on the project. One was a designer and the others were developers.

How did you come to work with Vardot?

I knew Vardot through a family friend and our team thought their professionalism beat any other vendor. They were also flexible with our needs.

How much have you invested with them?

We have spent $30,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in September 2015 and the engagement concluded in October 2016.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They offered support for a year after launch, making changes and fixing bugs as needed. Even adjustments that weren’t originally budgeted were complimentary. We’re going to hire them for another site revamp to add additional features.

How did Vardot perform from a project management standpoint?

They used Basecamp and set us a work plan and a schedule. I found their project management very professional and they always kept us up to date. They responded to emails or messages within 24 hours.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They treated our project like their priority. When we had a DNS server attack, they quickly dealt with the problem.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I thought we didn’t spend as much time talking about the design and research as we should have. We’ll probably do that the second time around.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Customers should stay informed about what you want moving forward and communicate with Vardot constantly. A failure to respond will delay the project.

""I was happy with the entire engagement and we didn’t have any problems."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the executive director of PeaceGeeks. We are a nonprofit organization that focuses on technology for peace.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vardot?

We needed a website for one of our projects as an inventory of content promoting peace, tolerance, and cohesion in the face of hate speech and polarization in digital spaces. We wanted the product to focus on reducing vulnerability to extremism in the Middle East by trying to change the discourse in digital spaces.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed the site on Drupal 8 based on our designs and concepts. We spent time discussing the site’s intended look, functionality, and content.

What is the team composition?

The project manager was our main point of contact. She was involved in the initial negotiations and various high-level milestone moments.

How did you come to work Vardot?

We submitted four cross-offers and Vardot offered us a 50% discount because they supported our work. Although the offer was still higher than we had budgeted, the team’s excellent national reputation made the decision a “no-brainer”. We made the budget work.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them from January–May 2018. The website is launched and we’re now moving into a maintenance phase.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We can make improvements to strengthen the calls to action. However, that area falls under design more than content.

How did Vardot perform from a project management standpoint?

The team was professional and the project manager was easy to communicate with; we used Basecamp. Vardot did everything on time; there were delays, but those were on our side. Originally, we wanted the site ready for an event, but turnover made that target impossible. However, the team did everything they could to get it launched.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Vardot is a smaller organization with a presence in both North America and the Middle East. While there’s a lot of practices I’m already familiar with, the team knew how to engage audiences in the latter region and create right-to-left site content.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I was happy with the entire engagement and we didn’t have any problems.

Any advice for potential customers?

Be ready and get the content prepared early. Vardot will be ready to hit the ground running.

**The Review** — Feb 15, 2018

**Feedback Summary**: The updated web platform and photo application represent a huge leap forward in market opportunities, which wouldn't have been possible without Vardot and their technical expertise. Superior output quality has furthered their involvement. Assigned specialists are exceptionally responsive.
""Working with Vardot has made a big difference in expanding our market through the products we offer."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

The mission of The Life Writer is to make life story writing easy, affordable, and available to everybody through technology. I’m the CEO and co-founder along with my wife, Teri.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vardot?

A big part of making life writing easy is to offer automatic voice transcription. The idea is that instead of paying somebody $50,000 to produce your story, you can do it yourself with our technology for $100. We've been through four different software providers over the years while trying to bring this product to market. Many companies said it can't be done or didn't even want to try.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

The pre-existing version of the program was written in Drupal 6. In order to add automatic voice transcription required Vardot to update the program to Drupal 8.

Previously, we only offered clients the ability to produce a life story memoir like you see in the library. Some customers, however, didn't really want to write that much and would prefer using photos and describing what is happening in each one. Vardot created a photo book option that is landscape instead of portrait layout and much less dense with text.

What is the team composition?

We've worked with about five associates.

How did you come to work with Vardot?

We were reaching out to a lot of different companies trying to find one that was more capable than the previous firms and also a better value. I can't remember exactly how we got connected with Vardot. What really stood out was that they told us about a vulnerability on our website and advised us to get it fixed right away. I really appreciated that and it made them memorable.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project kicked off in early October 2017. Right now the product is 99% done. We're getting ready to launch the new site in the next 7–10 days.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They deliver value by keeping their costs on the lower end and working very hard. Other companies are quick to send a bill and deliver a piece of work that isn't done or isn't very good. It's been just the opposite with Vardot: the product is very high quality and a great value.

Working with Vardot has made a big difference in expanding our market through the products we offer. Many people feel they don't have anything to say or are intimidated by writing a memoir, but everyone has a box of old photos that they want to share and document somehow. After eight years of trying, it's finally about to happen and that’s because of Vardot.

How did Vardot perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re super responsive. Throughout the entire project, they responded the same day or the next day. Other companies we worked with wouldn't respond for days or weeks even on really important or time-sensitive questions. It's incredible how quickly Vardot responds; they’re seriously amazing.

We primarily used Basecamp to communicate as well as some video conferencing and email. One of our initial concerns about working with them was communication because they’re based in Jordan. In fact, communicating with them is easier than with many other companies we’ve worked with even if they were located down the street.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They try harder than other companies. We had so many requests for them to change things once they delivered the site and the book building app. They've been so good about listening to us and actually doing the things we ask. They're just so dedicated and I can't say enough about them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They pretty much nailed it. I don't think we've seen anything they could do better. We've been extremely impressed.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

One thing that worked for us was taking a screenshot of anything that needed to be changed or fixed. We communicated back and forth via screenshots, which made it easy to understand exactly what we were talking about and really saved time.

Vardot’s team is professional, flexible, and responsive but their true strength lies in their deep knowledge of Drupal. Their emphasis on customer support and fluency in English are also remarkable.
""[T]hey really want to make sure you’re happy."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

We offer an enterprise SaaS [Software as a Service] product where customers can log in and search for data on the companies that they currently or potentially will partner with.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Vardot?

We hired them to create a simple yet powerful website to be able to attract potential customers as well as help with recruiting efforts in the quickest time possible.

What were your goals for this project?

Our main goal was to have a nicely designed website that can attract customers and explain our product in a straightforward and clear manner.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

I’ve known about this vendor based on other major projects they have worked on in the past. When it was time to select a vendor, they were one of the front-runners based on their experience.

Describe the project in detail.

They designed and developed the website and created content for it. They also provided maintenance and were able to implement everything from A to Z, which was a relief for us.

What was the team composition?

I interfaced with the CEO and a project manager. I know that there were two developers and a quality assurance resource dedicated to the project, which was more than enough based on its size.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What outcomes or results can you share that demonstrate progress and/or success?

We’ve received great feedback on the website from people outside of the company. We continue to obtain many leads and are able to track visitors thanks to the analytic solutions that Vardot implemented.

How effective was the project management?

They are a very responsive team and deadlines were always met. We used Basecamp for communication, which was very easy. They’re also fluent in English, making it even easier to talk with them.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

It’s probably the best company I've worked with when it comes down to their knowledge of Drupal. Their flexibility, professionalism, and support are second to none—they really want to make sure you’re happy. Lastly, it was a great price for the amount of work involved.

What tips or recommendations do you have?

My advice to any potential client would be to be prepared with the content for your site. The more proactive we were as a client, the faster things progressed.

Vardot delivered the product according to the set requirements and was responsive to technical concerns. They have excellent project management capabilities and can deliver work on time.
""They were very quick to respond when we had questions or concerns.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your organization.

We're an intergovernmental organization based in Vienna, Austria. We work with the governments of Saudi Arabia, Austria, Spain, and The Holy See. We were founded in 2012 with a specific mandate to foster and promote inter-religious dialogue between representatives and followers of different religions and cultures. We do this through a number of different programs. We provide training and mediation services in conflict resolution. We develop resources and publications on the subject, and we work with partners in education and media.

What is your position?

My title is media officer, but I work more with the communications department. I oversee all forms of communication.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
Could you describe the challenge that you were trying to address when you first approached Vardot?

We were looking to redesign and relaunch our website. We had a basic and very static website, which was created in something of a hurry. So, we'd been working with that for a couple of years and were facing a number of problems. For example, it was built on a proprietary CMS [content management system], which meant that we couldn't edit the site ourselves. Also, the website had not kept pace with the organization. We have changed considerably since 2012, and the website no longer reflected the current reality of the organization.

**SOLUTION**
Could you describe the actual scope of work assigned to them during this engagement?

We were looking for development and design. They provided us with training on how to use our new Drupal CMS, which they carried out after the site was completed. They were also involved in the discovery phase. Vardot worked very closely with us from the beginning. When we hired them, we only knew that we wanted a new site. We had decided what we'd like to see, from a very non-technical point of view, and they worked with us very closely in the process of translating that into an actual website.

We had decided to use Drupal before Vardot was involved, though, and we contacted Vardot initially because they had really excellent credentials with Drupal. We were very clear that we wanted something that was intuitive, open source, and easy to use and manage. My supervisor and I have both worked with Drupal in the past and have been very happy with its overall performance.

How did you come to choose Vardot as your partner?

We had a transparent bidding process. As an inter-governmental organization, we had some pretty strict procurement rules, so we did a bidding process. I believe the initial bid went out to about 16 companies. After the bidding process, we had technical and commercial assessments, and Vardot was the clear winner in both categories. Also, we liked that they had a lot of experience with mobile development and Arabic fonts.

What were the results of the project?

The site was launched on January 21 [2015]. But now we are working on a second multilingual site.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
In terms of results, could you share any statistics, metrics or user feedback that would demonstrate the over quality of their performance and/or the success of the engagement?

In the two months since the launch, we've seen between a 50 percent to 60 percent increase in the total number of visitors to the site. We were very satisfied with their project management capabilities, too. They were very responsive to our needs throughout the planning and development phases. It was very clear at all times who my contact was at Vardot. They were very quick to respond when we had questions or concerns. We have a fairly involved internal process of approvals, and they were very understanding of that. I liked the way we decided on timelines for delivery, and they stuck to those timelines. The product was launched on time, which is a first for us.

When working with Vardot, is there anything that you would consider unique about their practice that distinguishes them from other vendors?

What I really liked about the team from Vardot is the fact that they actually took the time to understand our organization. One specific thing was that there were certain parts of the content we had developed, but hadn't realized its full potential. They were able to point out that potential and encourage us to highlight the information. That showed that they were able to go above and beyond their role as Web development experts and advise us on branding and marketing. We really appreciated that well-rounded approach.

In retrospect, are there areas in which you think they could improve as a service provider?

At the moment, we're going through the process of launching the multilingual site. We're launching in four different languages at the same time. Looking back, I think that maybe we should have been a little bit more realistic about the amount of work that was involved and the number of people we would need outside the core team. So, maybe a little more planning in that phase would have been beneficial. We both assumed that the process we'd used for the English version would work across all the languages, but we found out the hard way that was not the case.

What advice, if any, would you give a future client of theirs?

If there's a multilingual aspect to the project, especially something outside of English and Arabic, both of which Vardot is very comfortable with, I would perhaps look at detailing what is involved a little more. I can't emphasize how important that planning phase really is before you begin to build.

Industry: Education
About the Project
The ACS provides an American-based program that prepares students for global citizenship. With an expanded, world-class school complex opening in 2023, the ACS needed a more dynamic and user-friendly web presence to engage its growing community.

In addition, the site was slow to load and had no SEO optimization, which negatively impacted its ranking.
Vardot was chosen to build a new website aligned with ACS's key strategic goals of increased engagement and improved communication of their mission and programs. Partnering with the ACS project team, Vardot rebuilt the website from scratch and made improvements in a range of key areas.
Improvements

Refined content experience
Advanced UI/UX
Best-in-class administration

The Results
With greatly improved user experiences for their community and their own internal teams, the ACS is set up with a web presence that will facilitate their growth and engagement with key communities from parents to students, government stakeholders, and donors.

### Enabling Doctors Without Borders
Industry: Nonprofit
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)/ Doctors without Borders are an international, independent medical humanitarian organization. Founded by journalists in 1971, it is now a global team of over 65,000 dedicated to delivering medical care where it's needed.
Challenge and Solution
In terms of overall technology and solutions, these were less than optimal. The old MSF CMS was built on Drupal 7, so was nearing the end of its lifespan. In addition, the site was hosted on a non-Drupal compliant server which led to performance degradation over time.
The site itself had areas that needed improvement such as the inability of the editorial team to update content or create pages without needing developer help. The donation system was also separate, very specialized, and not easy to update. Finally, the UX/UI needed to be more responsive and more on-page SEO made possible.
Vardot was initially awarded a support and maintenance contract for the old site in 2018. After providing excellent service, we were given the go-ahead to do a full site audit. We found that MSF needed a responsive, multilingual site with an integrated donations platform to further its funding potential, marketing efforts, and knowledge sharing objectives. The audit outcomes led to this project which covered:

Hosting and content migration
UX/UI redesign
Integration of donations platform
Rebuild of a new site on Drupal 9

Key Functionality

A fully customized native Drupal donation system was integrated into the CMS, with multi-currency support to maximize the ease of potential donations.
State of the art editorial tools, Layout Builder for easy drag and drop page creation by any non-technical team member.
Content from the old site was mapped to the Information Architecture and migrated entirely with a simple RSS feed.
Upgrades to cloud hosting for top-level ISO security compliance and to Drupal 9 for CMS longevity.

### Enhanced Cyber Security and Leading-Edge UX
Industry: High Tech
About the Project
The Challenge
OQ8 is a Joint Venture (JV) between OQ Group and Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI). The newly merged corporations needed an impeccable and immaculate website that represents the brand in an appurtenant manner. The website must be simple, scannable, catchy, but also perform in an utterly perfect modus operandi.
OQ8 puts emphasis on having a friendly UX and granting their visitors an unblemished web experience. Yet, as these huge corporations struggled with their cyber security before, the latter was a serious concern that should be left in the past. Moreover, the website should have an intuitive admin UX that gives full control of the components of the website to non-technical users.
Our Solution
These stressing challenges were all addressed quickly by Vardot’s expertise and their powerful Drupal website builder: Varbase CMS. Varbase Layout Builder was used to its full potential to create unique features and dynamic page designs.
In fact, all the designs were from custom blocks that were created particularly for this project, which enables the OQ8 website admins to easily create and edit pages using the drag and drop feature from the simple admin dashboard. Using Drupal as a content management system also solved the corporations’ cyber security problems.
The Results
OQ8 now is well represented with an intuitive and responsive website that features some splendid dynamic designs without sacrificing any shred of their security and privacy.

### Bayer Becker: Digital Experience Redesign
Bayer Becker is an interdisciplinary consultancy specializing in civil and transportation engineering, landscape architecture, planning, and land surveying. Since 1968, it has served both private and public sectors across the US. With growth in team and services, the firm recognized the need for a digital transformation to better reflect its innovation, strengthen community engagement, and improve its online presence through enhanced UX/UI and SEO.
The Challenge
The old website limited Bayer Becker’s digital impact. Outdated UX/UI design weakened brand identity and confused visitors. Navigation was complex, making it hard to find key information. Editorial workflows were inefficient, slowing updates and hindering collaboration. Additionally, poor page speed and SEO performance restricted visibility and talent acquisition. Instead of a simple redesign, Bayer Becker required a scalable digital experience that improved storytelling, accessibility, and business growth.
The Solution
The implementation was based on an atomic design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and reusable components. Developers translated these into Storybook libraries, maintaining seamless collaboration with designers. The site was built on Drupal to ensure long-term agility and performance. Key features included:

Custom, user-centric UX/UI design
Responsive architecture across devices
SEO optimization with metadata, alt text, and fast load times
Streamlined editorial workflows with role-based permissions and scheduling

The Results
The new digital experience now serves as an extension of Bayer Becker’s heritage and leadership in design innovation. It showcases projects, supports recruitment, and enhances internal processes. By balancing strategy, design, and technology, the platform elevates Bayer Becker’s ability to influence the spaces where communities live, work, and play.
