Our business web application for knowledge management and education required an advanced set of new feauresfor many different forms of content, new user interfaces, advanced search, course management and Gradebook capabilities in the case of the education product. The deliverables were advanced features, a multitude of unique user interfaces and workflows and improved user experience across a complex web application.

We were able to deliver the advanced web application solution feature addiitons to our product to enhance the products capabilities that met our clients requirements and concluded with the successful launch and adoption of the features with our clients users.

We utilised Jira project management throughout the project and the Valuebound Team were able to wrk well within the project, engaging as needed and meeting very challenging timelines.

What challenges were you trying to address with Valuebound?

We needed to develop a custom web and mobile application that could allow us to sell our products online. We needed a platform that could handle heavy traffic and scale easily.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had an initial discussion with Valuebound. They created wireframe documents and came up with a project plan. Afterward, they assigned a product owner and helped us find the proper infrastructure for the platform. So far, they’ve had a sprint and provided us with a demo. The development of the final product is still ongoing.

Valuebound has used Drupal, React as a frontend framework, and AWS for hosting. The app is available for Android and iOS, and Valuebound is currently helping with website maintenance.

Our most important success measures are speed, performance, and site functionality. Valuebound has been excellent in those aspects. In particular, speed is vital for us because we have a low bandwidth in India, and they’ve done a great job; the app loads quickly. Also, we haven’t had any crashes. Overall, we’re happy with the results so far.

How did Valuebound perform from a project management standpoint?

They have a strong project management process; it’s one of the remarkable things about them. They’ve done a great job delivering reports, and the team is responsive and attentive to our requirements. Overall, their project management skills have been key to the project’s success.

Valuebound uses project management tools like Trello boards to track progress and provide regular updates. Additionally, we mostly communicate through Zoom meetings and WhatsApp messages.

Their focus on project management is amazing, and they’ve helped us deliver at the quality level we expected. Moreover, their commitment to open-source technologies is very impressive.

Based on my understanding, Valuebound has a strong project management process as well as good technical expertise.. They follow an Agile development methodology and use Redmine as project management tools to track project progress and provide regular updates to clients. They have been doing a good job in delivering items on time, which I particularly appreciate.

I found them to be very responsive and attentive to our requirements. They prioritized communication and collaboration throughout the project, which allowed us to have a clear understanding of the project goals and timelines. Overall, I think their project management approach and responsiveness have been key factors in the success of our project.

The scope of Drupal migration and development work for a web development project of $55k with ongoing support for next 3 years. Drupal migration to recent version and from other CMS like Kentico and wordpress was major requirement. The project involved a web and application design, development, deployment, and support for at least three following years for our customer facing and employee facing portals.

It also included development of reporting solutions needed for our cost estimations. The technologies they should have expertise in are Drupal CMS, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL database, and Git version control. Key deliverables were Easy-to-use Drupal template development and use of existing ones and right ones for our portal.

Second deliverable was Increase collaboration and reporting content management authoring approval process management across Research and Content team, and final senior management team.

They were timely in delivery is one thing that matched our expectations. They were good planners and provided timely developer support. Getting good developers is difficult for Drupal but they were able to do so.

Following the platform's relaunch, we observed a significant increase in user engagement, with a 600% rise in user activity. Furthermore, the platform saw a surge in user-generated content, leading to organic growth.

During the project, we held daily stand-up meetings with both the product owner and other team members to stay updated on progress and resolve any bottlenecks promptly. We extensively utilized JIRA and Google Chat for seamless coordination and communication.

What I found most impressive about this company was their commitment to honest and transparent communication, which was demonstrated through their weekly project progress updates to all stakeholders. Their customer relationship management (CRM) team ensured that all stakeholders were kept in the loop with timely and accurate information, allowing for smooth and efficient collaboration.

Additionally, the company delivered the project on time, meeting all expectations and requirements. Overall, their exceptional communication and project management skills, combined with their dedication to delivering quality work, made them a unique and valuable partner to work with.

While they sometimes over-communicated, it was not a major issue and actually a positive aspect of their approach to project management. Overall, I was satisfied with the work they delivered and did not have any significant areas for improvement.
