I’m the COO of Jersey Loco, an e-commerce and drop-shipping-based store. We sell sportswear and athletic gear. I overlook the fulfillment, customer service, and social media aspects of the company.

We needed someone to manage our Facebook Ads to scale our profits and revenue to the next level.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Upearance does our Facebook Ads and helps us with email marketing and web design. They’ve also designed our logo and helped with our Instagram account.

Before we hired them, we had a Zoom call with Karim (CEO & Founder). He shared all the services they offer and how they worked. Then, we had onboarding meetings to make sure their team knew our brand well enough to represent it in our email marketing and web design.

We provide insights if we feel there’s something to improve or have any questions in general. On the other hand, they provide their own insights into what we could do better, what could be more efficient, and how we could close and finalize sales more often.

We mainly work with Karim, but he has a team of over five people.

How did you come to work with Upearance?

We found Upearance through one of their sales funnels on social media. We wanted help with our marketing, and we ran across one of their ads. From there, we contacted them and got on a Zoom call. They disclosed all the information and were very professional. Everything was genuine and honest. We decided to give it a shot and proceed with them.

We started working together in February 2021, and our relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We wanted to scale the ads so we’d get more profit and revenue out of them. One of our goals was to do $100,000 in revenue and sales in the first month, and we hit it. Since then, we’ve been scaling and improving consistently. All of our numbers, including our ROAs, have increased through the roof.

How did Upearance perform from a project management standpoint?

The communication is pretty seamless, professional, and honest. We work on a monthly basis and have weekly meetings to give progress updates and see where we’re at and where we can improve.

They’re located in Canada, so the time zones are a bit different. However, they’re professional and never late, and we always find a date that works for both of us. We use Zoom a lot.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They aren’t in it just for the money. Upearance genuinely cares about us and wants us to do well. They care about their customers.

We can talk to Karim and let him know our concerns — he’ll try his best to help us improve.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, we don’t have any complaints. There’s nothing that they need to improve.

Maybe their availability on Zoom could be better, but they can’t fully control that due to the time zone difference.

Be completely honest about where your company stands and your knowledge of digital marketing. The more open you are, the more you can get from them. They’ll help you in every aspect possible.

We've seen a major increase in our sales since the beginning of our journey with Upearance. I can say with 100% confidence that they've played a huge part in Lemon Jelly's success and we see only great things to come.

How did you select Upearance?

We contacted multiple agencies in Canada & the USA and chose Upearance based on their current portfolio of websites which was very impressive as well as all the valuable information they shared with us time & time again during our shopping process.

We requested a new website that was up to par with top competitors that could portray all the different types of staff we offer. The website was required to allow visitors to easily book a demo, consultation or trial. We needed the website to rank for certain keywords in specific regions. We hoped for a basic outreach strategy and we received a very thorough & successful outreach strategy.

We worked with the CEO Karim and their web designer Robert who were both on top of the project and updated the project progress board regularly while also providing weekly updates.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We've acquired over a dozen clients and gone from providing 3 staffs to one company to providing over 120 remote employees to multiple 7 and 8 figure businesses in Canada & the USA.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We provided access to a thorough project board from the moment the project started which had every step and a clear breakdown of every small task that needed to be done. Their team delegated to us tasks for things they needed us to provide such as texts, images and videos. It was an extremely smooth execution.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The execution was unreal, no other agency has ever shared with us such a detailed project board and been so on point in terms of the process of building a website and accomplishing marketing goals. They also provided tons of value at no additional cost which helped propel us forward fast.

Only thing that could be better is to have more options for designs though they did provide us with 3 options for every page design. If anything, we should have given more feedback so they could make better designs to our eyes.

We were very pleased with the final design and functionality of the website and the production of the landing video. Most importantly, we saw Dero Enterprises coming in at #2 on google-searches for die casting in Montreal.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Prior to working with Upearance we were paying $65/lead, which was then reduced to $25/lead with the work they did. During this period we transitioned from having a labor intensive sales process that required leads and a longer sales cycle, to a hands-off sales process that allowed users to register directly in the app, which meant a much shorter sales cycle for our team.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication was easy. Karim, also was nice enough to join our Slack team so it was easy to ping him outside of our weekly meetings.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Results. To be honest, it was refreshing to work with a company that once they understood our goal, executed in a very timely fashion. It was a relief to finally work with someone who delivered on their promises and met WISK’s expectations.

Upearance was always very transparent with results and numbers. Standardized reporting could be an area of improvement.
