We are a multidisciplinary company whose key product is the development of Touch Free technology and we needed help from an agency that can help implement new mechanics and experimental concepts that will give a new and exciting experience with our gadgets. Over the past 3 years, the Umber team has been implementing great projects for our devices, which have different mechanics of motion detection and different screen sizes. 
We have developed gaming projects, retail projects and experimented with onboarding for Touch Free technology. We were happy to present our gadgets with applications that helped develop Umber both at major trade shows and presented them to customers. Also, as part of the cooperation on our secondary services, the team helped to prototype and develop design for HeathCare products of varying degrees of complexity. 
The Umber team took care of communication with the client, product research even in quite complex and intricate medical treatment protocols, and all stages of design development and project support, both at the development and product improvement stages.

When working with Touch Free technologies, we need to search for new approaches R&Ds. Since our company is constantly experimenting to find the best mechanics and the best usability, Umber's help with their creative approach and understanding of user psychology was very important for us. Many of their ideas were successfully presented to hundreds of visitors to our stands at exhibitions.
We see this in our internal app usage statistics. Also, as part of the cooperation on HealthCare products, many products have been launched on the market and we receive positive feedback from customers regarding the usability and visual side of the design.

We engaged Umber to help us with a client project. The team took a significant part in the development of a large logistics project under their own development. Without details so as not to violate the NDA. Umber developed a comprehensive logistics solution for the client, including two web platforms and a mobile client application. 

In less than two years, the solutions were completed and are currently being tested internally. During this time, we prototyped, developed the design, developed a back office with a full-fledged API solution, and developed the backend + frontend for each solution separately. The team also helped a lot with management and communication regarding the functionality for which they were responsible. They have built a great cooperation with our specialists, which we are very happy about.

When two teams develop the same product, something can always go wrong. We are glad that we worked as a team and the product is already at the stage of corporate testing. We think that to have 2 web platforms and an app developed that are connected to the same back office and have passed our internal testing is a great result. It significantly digitalises the client's business.

The development/design/testing teams had internal daily calls, and once a week, we had weekly calls with the whole team. The management team conducted demos with clients and investors according to the functionality's readiness. There were delays if the client wanted to show investors more than the team's capacity could allow.

The acquaintance was accidental. Initially, we tried to delegate small design tasks and over time it grew into a long-term full-fledged collaboration.

After the first acquaintance, we decided to start our work on developing a new version of the blog. The main tasks were: to create the blog that will be convenient for any user who will perform business tasks and update the visual appearance of the site. In the latest versions of the product, we have a built-in process of design delivery, a holistic design system, and stylistics, which is actively implemented in the content, and marketing materials.

What was the team composition?

It all depended on the project. Both the product designer and UX and UI designers were involved in our internal project. Valentin had controlled the quality of delivery and decided who should be involved in different tasks and projects.

The design process was set in motion, thanks to the created design system and patterns for building visual content, we can create new features much faster and fill the site with quality content. When working with our clients, we are able to quickly formulate a task, determine estimates, and gradually present the work to customers. The ability to involve designers in negotiations with clients greatly simplifies the work process.

Each project is built by designers taking into account technical features and has a components kit which significantly reduces development time. The optimally built process of interaction of designers with us, as a result, helps to plan more qualitatively own time and resources.
