What challenge were you trying to address with Ukrosoft?

I needed an outsourced development partner because I didn’t have development skills.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I’ve worked with them twice in the past year. When clients came to me with projects that involved building a website or doing development customization, I outsourced that work to Ukrosoft.

I did the design and the UX for the projects and gave the designs to Ukrosoft who then developed them in WordPress. I also managed the projects and operated as the middleperson between them and my clients.

What is the team composition?

I’ve communicated with three different teammates. One of the teammates onboarded me and passed me onto a project manager and a developer.

How did you come to work with Ukrosoft?

I put up a job listing on Upwork and Ukrosoft was one of the companies that responded to it. I vetted all of the applications and decided on them because they had excellent recommendations and reviews from their other clients. 

How much have you invested with them?

I paid them $20 per hour and they estimated the hours based on the size of the project. The first project was 100 hours and the second was about 80 hours. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working on the first website in December 2019 and the second website was completed in April 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Ukrosoft was wonderful. They were easy to work with, and I would highly recommend them.

How did Ukrosoft perform from a project management standpoint?

The first project had a tight timeline and we needed a quick turnaround. They met that brief, even though it was over Christmas, so I was impressed that they were able to handle that request. 

There was a time difference between us, but I never felt out of the loop in terms of where the project was. I was able to check the dashboard every night, and in the morning, I’d wake up to new comments and development tasks. They handled the different timezones well.  

They would build it on their platform and then migrate it over to my CMS. They sent me a link to what they were building on throughout the project and I could refresh and provide feedback. Once I was happy with it, they migrated all of the code over to the actual website. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Ukrosoft was very helpful and had great communication. They understood the tight timeline, and I would definitely work with them. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would be open to receiving more suggestions from them in terms of optimization. However, that wasn’t part of my brief, so they didn’t miss the mark.

I’m the owner and CEO of Ask-Shop, a Ukrainian company that sells accessories and replacement parts for phones and tablets.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Ukrosoft?

We hoped to increase sales by creating an Android and iOS app for warehouse customers. It displays all of our updated products and sends users instant notifications. Previously, we were sending notifications by email, but had low engagement.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We worked with Ukrosoft on multiple iterations of the app. We spent a lot of time on design in the beginning, and this allowed me to see what the app would look like before it was developed.

They developed the app in React, for both Android and iOS. We chose to build it as a hybrid because it reduced the cost.

What is the team composition?

I worked with six people from Ukrosoft: one designer, two developers, and two QA engineers, the CEO, and the project manager.

How did you come to work with Ukrosoft?

I first found them when I was looking to create a website. I did some research and a couple of my friends recommended Ukrosoft.

How much have you invested with them?

The project cost was $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The app development project ran between May–October 2019. I plan on having Ukrosoft develop extra features for the app.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The app has helped me grow my business. Around 80% of our clients are using the app at the moment, and our sales have increased by 30%. We already have 7,000 orders through the app.

The app allows customers to easily search through thousands of replacement parts, and to make orders in just a couple of clicks. As a result, the ordering process on the app is much faster than the website. The app is running without any issues.

How did Ukrosoft perform from a project management standpoint?

The management from their side was great. They updated me on a weekly basis. After the design phase, they created a backlog of tasks on Trello. We had weekly sprints, and they kept me updated on what they were working on. I could leave questions and feedback on the Trello cards, and I called them for anything urgent. I received weekly reports on what they completed over the course of the week and what needed my attention.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They addressed all my needs in one package. Ukrosoft created the designs, developed the app, and took care of its maintenance. I didn’t have to find another designer or separate developers for Android and iOS. That was great, and it saved me time. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I didn’t have any issues with them. They told me in advance when a task might be delayed, and they found solutions for all my issues.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Clients should make their expectations clear, and provide as much information as possible.

Daybright is a digital marketing and growth marketing agency based in Jönköping, Sweden. We were founded in 2017 and work with clients based in Sweden. I work as digital strategist and head of ecommerce on the agency.

For what projects/services did your company hire Ukrosoft, and what were your goals?

Daybright needed a new website and we had two objectives:

1. To attract new clients.
2. To attract new staff and digital talents.

We had previously hired a designer who had made design templates and mockups for the website. We now wanted a web developer to build it according to the desigers templates.

SOLUTION

How did you select Ukrosoft and what were the deciding factors?

We have worked with Ukrosoft earlier for our e-commerce store and they have always been professional and with great excellence delivered everything they were hired to do. They are very good in Wordpress which were a big factor since this website would be based in that CMS.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Ukrosoft were presented with the design templates and features that we wanted. The website were built in Wordpresss (PHP). The website itself did not have any advanced functions but needed to be slim, fast page speed and easy navigated.

They would also need to take a simple photoshop sketch and bring it to life. The website features an banner animation that needed to be flawless and easy loaded.

We have worked with a team leader, a project manager and a web developer at Ukrosoft.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The site were delivered on time and the website were built according to the brief. Ukrosoft also built useful post templates etc. to make it easier for us to implement more pages and posts to the website.

We had already implemented a effective way of working on earlier projects, where the team members of Ukrosoft were invited to our Slack account. We then started a channel for the project where all communications where held. Ukrosoft presented a timeline at the start of the project which we could follow. All communications were held with the project manager who then informed the developer.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Ukrosofts biggest strength is their flexibility in projects. They are open to our ideas and are always happy to make changes who might come in late or change the course of the project. They never complain and always fix issues as fast as they can. Ukrosoft also often come up with their own ideas on how to improve projects and websites. But they never do anything without first check it with us.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No.

We are web development company specializing in open source programming and website support. I am the owner of the company.

For what projects/services did your company hire Ukrosoft?

Ukrosoft forms the core of our offshore office. They help with day to day website and server updates as well as developing large complex WordPress, Joomla! and Symfony web applications.

What were your goals for this project?

We have multiple goals throughout the year. 1. Is to provide critical and timely website and server support for a variety of clients. 2. Develop websites and web applications. This includes SEO and design services. 3. Be responsive as possible to the clients meaning a 24 hour or less response time.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We were looking for a way to offshore a lot of work and to save on overhead costs of having a permanent office in NYC. We sent out various requests through different platforms, namely Upworks, Fiver, Ideallist, and third party agents. We tested with multiple vendors from all over the world. Ukrosoft was one of the respondents to our requests.

Ukrosoft provides project management, web development, programming, system admin and SEO services. This involves developing custom PHP applications, WordPress theme design and development, Plugin development and support for the applications.

What was the team composition?

The team composition is a Project manager and 2-3 developers of various levels, an SEO team and a System Admin.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Ukrosoft has performed well. It's team of developers are very knowledgeable and efficient. The impact has been that by doing a good job and having good communication they have been instrumental in building the reputation of my company and helping us to have the confidence to pursue large contracts and make due on promises made to clients.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management is arranged through a project manager. The project managers we work with have been responsive and effective in getting the tasks to the right developers and staying on schedule.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

In this line of business, with everything remote it was hard to find a vendor who was able to communicate in real time and to be responsive. Many vendors will leave you guessing about work being done and the development schedule. Because we are so far away from each other day to day, hour to hour and event minute to minute communication is the number one important thing to me and Ukrosoft has been able to do this.

Are there any areas for improvement?

For communication, we are doing a good job, but sometimes things are missed and need to be followed up on. I don't have time to follow up on all the projects all the time and expect to be notified and have constant daily communication. This maybe is more difficult now because of COVID and the team not being in the same office anymore, but more constant communication and quicker follow ups would be one area to improve.

I’m the founder of an architectural rendering services firm. We cater to real estate clients on staging virtual renovations. It helps clients visualize their work before its executed.

What challenge were you trying to address with Ukrosoft?

We wanted to implement tiered, custom pricing options on the backend of our e-commerce site.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They helped us by incorporating custom pricing options on our e-commerce backend. It was their responsibility to implement the backend functionalities that would allow the WooCommerce site to function. Additionally, they did some custom frontend work. We had to customize the area where customers can upload files, executing on our requirements. In addition to WooCommerce, they implemented AWS and integrated with S3.

What is the team composition?

There was a project manager and another customer service teammate interacting with me. There was a group of developers working behind the scenes. 

How did you come to work with Ukrosoft?

I found them on Upwork and interview them along with a series of vendor options. Their owner was very responsive to me and made a strong first impression. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent under $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement lasted from March–September 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

All of our customers have commented on how much smoother the e-commerce experience is on our site. It’s helped increase business for us. They’ve streamlined the whole process of doing business with our customers, so it’s much more convenient now.

My project manager was very skilled and organized. I’d rate them very highly in that area. They’re very good communicators.

They’re honest people to do business with.

Please describe your company and your position there.

We run a swedish Ecommerce business that sells posters and prints. I am the founder and marketing director of the company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Ukrosoft?

Ukrosoft have helped us build automated editors for our customizable posters. Instead of adding personal details like names and birth years manually on every customers poster, Ukrosoft have built automated versions that creates the posters in the backend.

What were your goals for this project?

To save time on manual work and being able to sell more posters online.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We have tried a few different agencies before trying Ukrosoft. None of them were even close to the level of communication, competence and engagement that Ukrosoft puts down in their project. We choosed them after reading reviews on Upwork.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

They have built multiple automated products for us, but the major project have been the so called Love map. A poster with a map that connect two lovers. A heart is placed on both their hometowns and a line is drawn between the hearts. Earlier all the maps were done by hand in Indesign, researhing where the cities should be placed and then placing the hearts.

Ukrosoft built a solution there the customer fills in all the details and the system then adds the hearts to the map. The customer can then do multiple other design options, zoom in on the map, move the map, add text etc. The poster is then rendered in the backend, a printed pdf is created and automatically uploaded to our server so that the print personel can download it to the printer and send it to the customer.

What was the team composition?

The project team was myself as the client and at Ukrosoft they hade one project manager who was taking care of the contact with me. They also had developers, but I don't know how many that was working on this project.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The love map function has had tremendous impact on our business. The manual work on doing each poster was incredibly time consuming aswell as frustrating. Before we could never advertise the product to it's full potential - and now we can!

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management was very good. We had daily updates in a Skype chat as well as having a Trello board there we could keep track of everything that was done and that were in the pipeline.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

That everything is possible. Even if I come with last minute changes, they always fix it with a smile. They always respond quick, sometimes even in the evening and on the weekend.

No. Not in this project.
