Pluspoint helps offline businesses and franchises manage their marketing across a lot of locations at once. That covers getting and managing reviews, running 200+ listings, social media, reputation monitoring, and inbox management. We had a large volume of review data coming in and no good way to make sense of it at scale, so we brought Uinno in to build an AI layer on top of it and to strengthen the engineering underneath the platform.

• An AI module that analyzes incoming reviews for sentiment and surfaces recurring themes, so managers see what is happening per location without reading every review
• A reputation view that pulls review signals across hundreds of locations into one place

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The clearest change is in how our team works with review data. Before, making sense of reviews across all our locations was a manual, time-consuming job, and a lot of signal simply got lost. Now that data runs through the AI analysis and comes back as sentiment and clear themes, so a manager can look at one view and understand what is going on across their locations. The reputation picture that used to be scattered is now in one place. On top of that, the engineering under the platform is in better shape to scale, which matters as we add more locations and listings

Solid and low-friction. We ran this in an embedded way, so their engineer was effectively part of our team rather than a separate shop we handed tickets to. Communication was steady over calls and messaging, changes in priority were handled without fuss, and things landed when they said they would. For us the big value was not needing to translate our product into a formal spec before anything could happen. They understood the context and worked inside it

The forward deployed engineering model was the difference maker. Having someone work directly against our real data and sit close to the product meant the AI analysis was built around how reviews actually come in, with all the mess that involves, instead of a clean theoretical version. They brought real AI expertise, but applied it to our specific problem rather than selling us a generic feature. It felt like working with a product team that cared about the outcome, not a vendor closing a scope

Nothing major. Early on we could have given them access to more of our internal context sooner, which would have saved a little back and forth, but that was on our side as much as theirs. Once we did, things moved smoothly

We had a working thesis and no engineering team. Every studio we talked to wanted a 3-month discovery phase before writing a line of code, and we needed a product in the market fast enough to raise on traction, not on slides. Uinno started with an MVP build and then stayed on as our engineering team on a monthly subscription as we scaled — the same engineers from day one to the acquisition, which is the part most vendors can't offer.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The MVP shipped and, on the strength of a live product with real usage, we closed a $2M seed round in June 2025 — we raised on traction, not slides, which was the whole point. The product kept moving forward from there, and in July 2026 our company was acquired. During technical due diligence the acquirer reviewed our codebase and came back with no material findings. For a startup that had moved that fast, that was not a given, and it says a lot about how the team built things.

They move fast and they deliver. The single biggest thing for us was continuity — the same engineers stayed with us from day one through the acquisition, so we never lost context as the product scaled. That's the part most vendors simply can't offer. They kept the pace up on a monthly subscription without the usual churn or re-onboarding, and the codebase quality held up all the way through, which the due-diligence result confirmed.

Effectively they gave us a CTO as a service, and that changed how we plan and execute dramatically. The team behaved like a technical co-founder, not a vendor; they pushed back on features we wanted to build and were usually right. That kind of judgment, and the willingness to disagree with the people paying the invoice when it's the right call, is not something you get from a typical dev shop.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Uinno could have done differently?

In the first month we underestimated how much product-side decision-making they expected from us. They move fast and they need answers fast — if you're not ready to decide, you'll slow them down, not the other way around. It worked out well for us, but I'd tell any founder going in to be ready to make product calls quickly.

It’s a very new space, and we needed a technical team who could take our vision and turn it into something real, fast, but without rushing, making bad decisions, and spending millions. What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The biggest result is that we now have a working system. We can put in brand data, generate prompts, run real conversations with Gemini, and actually see how the brand shows up in AI responses. We’ve started running beta tests with potential customers, and as someone with a marketing background, I’ve been running my own tests too and the quality of prompts the system produces is really impressive. Going from just an idea to something we can demo to investors and early users in about 7 weeks is a big deal for us.

Project management was very good. Their PM kept things organised and on track, and communication was always clear. During the project, there were some changes in the scope, prioritizing and moving some features like second language support and citation tracking. Since we work on a time and materials basis in an agile way, it was easy to include these as additional work without disrupting the plan for the core deliverables. I also want to mention something that really showed their commitment as their founders and lead engineering manager, despite the war in Ukraine and all the difficulties with travel, they took the time to come meet me in person in Paris, France. That kind of effort says a lot about how they treat the relationship. Day to day, they used an iterative approach, checking in regularly, which made the whole process feel very collaborative.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impressed me most was how they handled the fact that this is a completely new space. AI search optimisation doesn’t really have a playbook yet. But instead of just waiting for us to tell them exactly what to build, their team went and researched the domain, looked at competitors, and came back with their own ideas. Their PM and solution architect would bring up things we hadn’t thought through, like how to manage conversation depth without spending too much on API calls, or how to structure the prompt chains properly. It didn’t feel like working with a vendor. It felt more like having a product team. And I’m not saying this to sell anything because the quality of what they built speaks for itself.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Uinno could have done differently?

No significant areas for improvement. The PoC and MVP phase met and exceeded our expectations in terms of scope, quality, and delivery. We continue working together as the product is growing.

We had been working with another development team on our mobile applications, but we weren’t satisfied with the quality of their work, so we have been seeking a new long-term development partner. The app's authorization flow was outdated and needed a complete rework. We needed a team that could step in quickly, understand the existing native codebase, and deliver without a long ramp-up.

SOLUTION Uinno assigned 2 dedicated mobile developers who worked on a time-and-materials basis. They got up to speed with our existing Swift and Kotlin codebases quickly and started with the most critical piece, the authorization module. Each task was estimated with testing and bug fixing already included, so there were no surprises when it came to delivery quality.

The authorization flow on both iOS and Android was completely rebuilt and works reliably now. Our users no longer experience the login issues we had before, and the new implementation follows current security practices. More importantly, we proved to ourselves that we can work with Uinno on a T&M basis efficiently, even a small engagement like this was handled professionally, with clear estimates and deliverables that matched what was promised.

UCU uses two separate legacy systems so we needed to move away from them due to strategic risks and operational limitations like lack of bidirectional integrations, scattered data sources across departments, no single source of truth, and heavy reliance on manual processes.

Uinno assembled a team of a Business Analyst, Systems Architect, and Project Manager who conducted in-depth interviews with our finance, HR, and administrative teams. They mapped all existing management accounting processes in BPMN notation, identified integration gaps and data inconsistencies across our systems, and produced a set of deliverables that gave us a clear, evidence-based path forward. Their ERP market analysis was particularly valuable since it went beyond generic comparisons to include UCU-specific factors like non-profit licensing discounts, grant accounting requirements, and multi-department approval workflows for 120+ units.

Uinno’s scope covered the full Discovery Phase for our management accounting system:

We wanted to make retirement planning easier for our users and facilitate our long onboarding process. The main problem was that sometimes we didn't have enough advisors available in certain areas or times. People had to wait, and we were losing potential customers. We hired Uinno to build an AI advisor that could help users get started right away without waiting for a human advisor. The AI needed to use the same approaches that made our existing customers successful.

The MVP took about three months to build. The feedback from users has been really positive,  and our human advisors checked the AI's calculations - they said it's doing a good job.

The MVP launched in three months like we planned. User engagement went up - people are spending about 30% more time on the platform. Our advisors are also saving around 2-3 hours per week because the AI does the preliminary work. We aim to make it 10 hours per week with further development.

We're still in development, but the early numbers look promising. About 65% of users who try the AI advisor end up booking a session with a human advisor afterward, which is what we wanted.

Uinno did a great job with the Figma designs and flow. They were willing to work with me, mostly at the same time as I am in Miami and they are in Ukraine and throughout Europe. It was early for me and late for them but we enjoyed working together. They schedule weekly meetings and are willing to go the extra mile if it makes your project better. 

The staff was patient and kind during our time working together. I enjoyed it so much that I will be working with them again. The prototype came out great and I am very happy. I created some videos for my prototype right after they finished to put the cherry on top. Oleksii, Daria, Vadim, Andrey, Margo, Sergii are all kind humans and hard workers too. I have a brother in law who is Ukranian so it was also nice to work with humans who have the same roots as him. I feel very bad what has happened to their country and stand by them. My mother bought a Ukranian flag and shirt for me early on in the process.

On Figma Daria was very patient and helpful with the designs and made the flows as simple as possible while also following software fundamentals. It is important for me because I have a patent pending idea and am also looking to sell my idea to a company. Working at the same time speeds the process up and also communicating with Uinno what you would like to do is important. The software team cannot read your mind so it is important to sketch ideas out for them demonstrating what you are trying to convey. From there they do a delightful job explaining if it is possible and putting into onto the wireframes. 

I have learned a lot form the staff and I am looking to get more experience with figma over time, but I believe it was be valuable to have a designer and technical expert look over my work to see if it is as efficient as possible. Also to stand out things have to be simple and creative, Uinno was awesome at keeping things simple for the client and for the user.

We used a communication platform so I can send messages to employees with questions or concerns. Uinno gets back to you very quickly and is not pushy.

I’m a system architect and senior consultant at consultant company Captam Finland Oy. I was hired as programme manager for Envirovet Oy that provides a quality management system for veterinarians and public sector health workers.

What challenge were you trying to address with Uinno?

We needed full delivery and service with the implementation of modern quality management system localized to Ukraine.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Uinno developed a fully working quality management system according to our specifications. The system included all specified functionalities and about 20 quite complex UI views. The UI views were about managing the yearly quality plan, writing down the observations from audits, and managing management meetings, tasks, and memos.

Uinno is now hosting the whole system, and the project continues in maintenance mode.

We were directly in contact with four teammates from Uinno.

We found Uinno through a referral from our Ukrainian contact and an online search. We sent an RFQ to some possible candidates, and Uinno’s communication was easy and superior from the beginning. Additionally, their final offer was the winning one.

Some user groups participated in the initial specification phase and had a say in the UX design. They say that the new system is way better than the old one.

The original schedule went a little over the planned time, but it was a coordinated effort. Uinno handled the delay well. We always had an architect coordinating the latest finalizing issues from Jira. Communication was super excellent from the beginning. The last months could have had more status meetings, but we managed to keep things in order with Jira and Slack.
