I’m the graphic designer in an ergonomic product company which is famous for the economic monitor arms.

Because our team is concentrated on the product design, marginal jobs such as box design are always outsourced to professional marketing companies. It is more practical for the company with limited workforce.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We have the factory that makes all of our products’ package designs and manufacture before, however, we think the package can be better optimized under the tough logistic situation and save us cost. So we looked for a more professional marketing company which has the experience of ergonomic product packaging.

First of all, TF account manager Beth emailed us and we communicated about the demand and requirements. She sent us an excel to proof as well. Beth sent us the package graphic design within a week. Our team decided to ask to reedit in one place of the package and they sent back the final vision within 2 hours. And the following steps were quite efficient and both parties were satisfied about this transaction overall.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

They did some research and draft design for all types of products. I heard that their designer manager did two versions for someones, which made the reedition so quick.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The program is done under a good expectation. They offered a smaller package that better optimized the space and saved us cost.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

When we emailed Beth about our feedback, she would usually email us back said she got it and she would ask the graphic team to work on it. And sometimes she added the expected date of the work or sometimes she just emailed us the graph after few hours.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were always efficient and punctual. Always reply and hand in work in time. A good listener, they really understand and come out with what we want which saves our time and cost.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Yes. I did find sometimes hard to explain the requirement details with them. Being more active and reactive is better for communication. Being more advisory is better for professionality.

For what projects/services did your company hire TreeFruit, and what were your goals?

Our team is running official accounts on famous social media platforms which require all types of creative video production from time to time. We were thinking of giving a try on a tabletop tour video, and if TF gave us exactly what we wanted, we could go further. My company has a long-term mission and it is divided into a number of short-term goals. ATM we would definitely want to see how it goes especially how many followers and viewers that it brings the brand.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Interesting question, we had limited budget for the first trail so we were tight up finding the highest value-cost shooting service while the company had to be experiential at the same time. It was quite hard in the beginning because of inflationary cost till we find TF, a company different from most alternatives – it is quite honest and we could reach a quick agreement on the price. Their cost-effectiveness and personality made us hire them!

Because of the confidentiality, I’d rather not to reveal the details about the video. The process comes as planned. The demo received by the date due, my side concluded few details that we required to add/remove and after two rounds communication, the video had re-edited as we expected. And because we had left enough leading time for re-edit, we got it all done before the due.

Beth Zheng is our account manager so she is taking care of the whole routine.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We found a about 16% increase in traffic, and got more page sessions. Other further details are not preferred to revealed here.

As they said, they have a quite cohesive team which bring all talent people together and make use of each other best. We use Working E-mail and sometimes we range Skype calls on video details communication. We have quite flexible communication and I find no difficulty hearing from their answers.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

TF is so creative, I remembered one time I was talking about an idea that I would like to present after few hours, Beth emailed me back and she said the team carried out two approaches of presentation and could range a call to dicuss about it if I want.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Well, TBH, I would say because of the limited budget, there is limited service and options that we can choose( which is understandable though). There are limited models and prop so that the scene is somehow lacks of innovation.

In the very beginning, a project coordinator was assigned to be the main point of contact throughout the project and we had a video conference with TreeFruit to discuss our e-store customers, brand positioning and objectives.

Form there, we got a three-person crew to support us and received the mock-ups and layout within two weeks.

4 members were included in the team: A project coordinator for scheduling and contacting; A designer for page design and creative direction； A photographer for product shooting and image retouching； A copywriter for content writing.

After updating our product listing page on Amazon India, we found a 30% increase in traffic, and got more page sessions.

TreeFruit has a comprehensive service items, and we can get a package solution from them. No need to hire & coordinate photographers, graphic designers and copywriters separately. Their team does it all in one project for maximum value and minimum hassle.

Are there any areas for improvement?

TreeFruit does awesome in graphic design and video production. I think it will be more gorgeous if they can have the capability of PPC management and SEO.

We have an extensive business relationship with TreeFriut in video/animation projects, including new product release promotion video, product instruction video and corporate video. TreeFriut helped us finish more than 10 videos already.

What were your goals for this project?

We hope the product features video can vividly show the benefits of our speakers – driving more traffics to increase the sales. And our customers can have a quick guidance of how to use our speakers with the help of the product instruction video.

We want to work with a video production agency in local area, because it will be more convenient for us to push forward the progress of the project.

At first stage, we had a meeting with TreeFruit to introduce our Wi-Fi speaker and discuss our goals and objectives. Then their scriptwriter finished the first script in one week and scheduled the second meeting to confirm the details with their director, including video types (shooting or animation), models, BGM, etc.

We received a video demo after two weeks. A coordinator was assigned to collect our comments and feedback of the demos. At last, they completed the final editing within one week.

A four-person crew was assigned to be responsible for our project: One scriptwriter for scriptwriting; One director for scheduling the shooting and production; One animator for post-production; One coordinator for organizing the feedback.

Once the Wi-Fi speaker feature video was released, we got a lot of enquiry for our B2B customers than ever before and some of our customers wanted to use our video in their B2C channels to help promote their sales.

Their four-person crew team has a professional standard workflow to organize the project process. So we don’t have any barriers of working with them. Moreover, they completed the whole project within a month – more earlier than we expected before.

They mainly provide English subtitles and narration, and it will be more awesome if they can provide other language options.

Are there any areas for improvement?

As their HQ located in China, it will be better to set up an overseas office or branch in North America - then our representative in Canada Customer Service Center can work with them in a more convenient way.
