What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our phones work well. The only time they go down is when we have internet issues, which isn’t TPx Communications’ fault.

How did TPx Communications perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re incredibly effective. When we add phones, they usually get back within 24 hours with an estimate that we can sign and approve.

TPx Communications is very responsive; we communicate via email or phone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They respond quickly, and the final cost is always exactly what they quoted us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, we haven’t had any problems.

The pjt mgmt was good, the techs were very responsive. There were some hiccups along the way, but that is to be expected. Customer & techincal service with MPower / Telepacific / TPx Communications has always been strong. That is why I have stuck with them for over 20 years.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They do phone work which is a mystery to me, that's for sure. They take care of technical issues. We had a billing problem, which we caught, but that was taken care of. Really no problems with them at all, and that is what I want as the guy in charge of tech, no problems.

Are there any areas for improvement or something TPx Communications could have done differently?

Not really -- the first tech that came out, he said it was his last week with the company, and that made me nervous for sure. But no problems really.

TPx was hired to help facilitate the move from our On-Premises Exchange implementation to an Exchange Online setup. We used a Third-party utility called SkyKick to move the users mailboxes automatically. Unfortunately, a few of them had to be moved manually. Nonetheless, they were moved successfully. They also helped set up all of the licensing for all of the accounts. Very helpful.

• Exchange was migrated successfully

• Our billing was successfully updated

They were on time and deliverables were met well. I do not remember if anything was left out.

I was impressed with their thoroughness. They crossed all the T's and dotted all the I's. I remember the main tech, Natalia, being very well versed. It was a pleasure to work with her.

Possibly communicated the SkyKick software functions better. It is pretty generic.

• The network template provides consistency
• Our wireless and wired services are robust and seem to offer consistent connectivity
• Our meraki firewalls are robust and seem to protect the IT Stack.

very responsive yes! Always available to hop on a call if needed and urgent. great team to work with professionally... And yes, delivered on the scope of the work in a timely fashion. I will say however that providing "after care" as far as managing the meraki firewall gui has been hit and miss. And they have offered no solution or offered to escalate to Meraki for us.

They are very professional and extremely responsive. Follow up on urgent issues is excellent. Personally, we could not ask for a better Team overall.

Just because an issue isn't deemed urgent, doesn't mean that it isn't important. And at the very least, offer solutions or offer to escalate issues you aren't able to resolve on your own.

We had a Shoretel Phone System, TPX was used to collaborate with the back end network administrators when swtiching to Verizon VCC and VCE as well as handling issue tickets with ISP (Data Providers who setup a MPLS) providers who were also swapped out at that time as part of the project. TPX was how everything was coordinated at the base level.

• Minimal Downtime: Users had to be able to bring up phones without issue
• Ease of Configuration: MSP had to be able to configure most of it for us as they had the resources to do so
• Uptime of new product: New product uptime was important as it was a cloud VOIP System

Project Management was a nightmare on Verizon's side at first they didn't have a resource which delayed the whole project, which pushed the whole process up against our "Busy Season" but in the end they found a PMP who would manage the project but i cant say it helped much, More of like a secretary function for the project in total, but we got it done in the end so all is good.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The product was a VOIP Hosted in the cloud, the best part of it was that if one of our main locations had an outage the PRI/PKM did not affect our user's functionality. If the MPSL went out we put people on hotspots in the office, and they VPN'ed into the corporate office, and just continued working. It was quite nice. However, the reporting provided in the end was not as customized as the onsite servers provided and extensively curtailed reports the managers were accustomed to.

Are there any areas for improvement or something TPx Communications could have done differently?

I would have set better expectations and more clearly spelled out the benefits. I probably would have also relied less on the project manager and more on the ticketing system that was provided as the project manager was just opening tickets for us.

TPx Communications provides IT services focused on internet connections and SD-WAN setup, which includes equipment like routers to allow a reliable internet connection whenever a line goes down.

They’ve been our partner for around 15 years.

So far, we’ve spent around $200,000 with them.

We started working together in January 2007, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Everything’s going well; we sometimes have complicated tasks that not everybody gets right, but TPx Communications’ work is reliable, which helps our system to stay up. Overall, I’m satisfied with their work.

They deliver on time and stay within budget. Regarding communication, we use phone calls and email.

They provide services that other providers weren’t capable of delivering.

How did you select this firm and what were the deciding factors?

We have been a customer of TpX since it was Telepacific who aquired our previous provider and the service just keeps getting better over time.

Once we determined that our Amazon Workspaces would not work with any provider, the UcX app became the solution functioning on laptop devices for communications. They then updated from their own UcX app to the new Webex version. TpX and our service providers for the AWS and our hardwired phone system worked in consort to obtain the final solution's functionality.

3-4 and they were all IT since making things wrok in the AWS with our vendor was a task.

Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

BAsed on our vendor's feedback to us and the result, we saw progress along the way and the ultimate outcome has been a success.

Seems that they work well together.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They have always communicated options to improve our system over the years. They also serve as out backup DSL should our gigabit service ever fail.

Of course price would be a great help with the cost of everything these days.

TPX has been our phone and internet provider for +6 years. The biggest challenge we've faced was during lockdown. We did not have a cloud based system that would otherwise allow our team members to work from home as all calls were routed to office phones.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

TPX customer service has always been spot on. Our account manager Kenny Medina throughout the years with growth within my company, he's made sure the phone/internet plan fits us. Always being meticulous with explaining any process, possible plans and listening, he's proved to want our business time after time. As such, we've been a customer of TPX for may years.

Focusing specifically on the project that involved having a web based phone system to allow us to operate our business outside of the office, this project had to be rushed. As lockdown notification was given by government with 24hrs to prepare for, to ensure we stayed within the law and keep our team members safe, we had to have a system that allowed them all to work from home.

As we are an online company, we rely on emails as form of communication, but especially over the phone consultation with potential and current customers. First, my rep and I jumped on a call to discuss our needs. Later we jumped on another call with rep + programmer and discussed timeline. Given the lockdown we had to get something in place ASAP. There was a rational understanding on their part of the urgency of this project. They discussed with me how it would work, possible issues given that they were invested in getting a basic version out ASAP and have the system be developped from their.

Again time constraints required something immediate, now. I was completely on board with this. Througghout every step I was kept informed, I would receive follow up calls from Kenny Medina. I never felt lost as I was kept informed. I trusted them and they did not let me down.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After the first launch, as expected, we did have many issues with the phone system. However despite this, it still allowed us to operate our business, which is ultimately key. It took sevral more weeks after the initial launch to get a system that was working spot on and to our needs. I could not be more thankful for the continued communication and ultimately support.

Their management style was that of an empathetic individual championing for me, for the company, for my employees. As a result of the world circumstances, without a working phone system they understood would affect our business which would result in lay offs- this was the reality of things. Communication was constant and timelines were always something I supported. I felt they provided me with a very focused and dedicated service. I knew I was in the best hands possible.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Level of professionalism, patience, caring nature. I did not feel like just another number/project. During lock down times, there was nothing better than working with a company that had such attributes. Then, more than ever, human caring was needed.

What they did and how they managed the project was spot on. As a customer I was happy and at the end I got exactly what this company needed.

After using the service for about 2 years, we felt the need of having more bandwidth , with more and more services on the cloud such as backups and site interconection , this was very important and needed for us to keep everything working with minimal downtime, TPx made sure we had that level of service when performing the upgrade.

4 or 5 persons , We have project manager, the account representative, the IP , and other network experts.

IT worked as expected, keeping the same IP addressing was a must , the installation and turn up of the systems timing was perfect , little to no downtime

Being the sole IT for my company makes things very difficult, TPx adjusted to my needs and provided a very good experience

The technology they rely on is fantastic. their panels and the control that I can have over my network is amazing, the live view of my sites is great as well, the failover features are good as well

Maybe a little bit more of communication, but its understandable with a lot of moving parts specially when 3rd parties are involved such as big communication companies.

We were looking for a way to educate our staff and improve awareness around cybersecurity threats, specifically email phishing efforts by hackers.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

After hearing about TPx's service offerings, I had a series of calls with their representatives and a few of their existing customers. The reviews were excellent and we found their offering to be very affordable and effective - exactly what we needed.

TPx sends our staff a link to a short (~5 minutes) video on a cybersecurity topic each month. We require each staffer to complete this and the accompanying online multiple choice questions, which test for comprehension. TPx also sends a series of random, cleverly disguised "fake" phishing emails that try to entice staff into clicking on something that would allow the simulated hacker to break into our network.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our staff has become much more aware and adept at spotting phishing attempts and is more aware of good security hygiene practices. Over the course of the year and a half we've been utilizing their services, the number of successful "hacks" (getting a staffer to click on something they should not) has dropped dramatically. Our security posture is much improved and IT and our C-suite executives sleep a little better at night.

TPx's team was super easy to work with. Our account rep is fantastic and very responsive.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They offer a great service at a very affordable price for a small organization. Their customer service has been excellent, and our account rep is very responsive. Which comes as a pleasant surprise for a small fish in sea like us.
