Mizuno was established in 1906 with the pursuit of excellent products in mind and currently employs over 4,400 employees worldwide.

Mizuno not only supports sporting activities by offering better sporting goods, but also develops products and services that make the most of the value of sports and actively spread that in daily life.

I currently manage the Titan Growth relationship for Mizuno.

For what projects/services did your company hire Titan Growth?

In 2017, we were working with a digital agency that was doing a good job, but we felt that maybe more could be done so we put out an RFP that Titan would eventually win.

Titan Growth was hired to help take us to the next level by improving our online exposure, organic rankings, and brand awareness. With multiple products across different categories we needed the support of a smart team with sophisticated technology.

In 2017 we interviewed a number of agencies and Titan Growth really stood out. Their TitanBOT technology was like nothing we had ever seen. We hired them and are glad we did!

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals were to increase first page rankings for important terms and help us increase brand awareness, revenue and traffic to our site. We already had good exposure, but wanted to see that exposure increase even more, and Titan met & exceeded our goals.

How did you select this vendor?

We had a detailed selection process that involved an RFP. We invited a large group of agencies to start and then narrowed them down to our top 10. Then the top three were selected for a presentation to a larger group internally. Everyone in our process was scored on a point basis.

By the time we were done there was no comparison. Titan Growth was the clear winner with the highest number of points across all decision makers.

Titan uses their technology to drive our strategy. Their search engine emulation tech allows their team to understand what to change and when to change it. This has allowed for fewer updates to our pages because each update is more powerful.

They drive the entire on-page SEO strategy and track the success. It’s been incredible to watch how our revenue, traffic, and first page rankings have grown under their watch.

What was the team composition?

They have a large pod of team members that work on different aspects of the project for us. The great thing about the setup they have is that we only need to interact with one person, our PM. He has regular meetings with us to help update us on what’s new, and to strategize.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are currently in our 3rd year working together. In that time we have continued to see results that demonstrate how impactful Titan Growth’s strategy has been. Almost every month we see growth in our online market share coupled with increases in traffic, revenue and organic rankings.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The team is setup in such a way that we have one point person. If I’m in need of anything I simply reach out to my main POC who is available at any time.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I'm impressed that they are never happy with the status quo. If we go back to the first year they really knocked it out of the park performance-wise for us. Just maintaining that growth would have been impressive, but they were never satisfied and always wanted more growth. Fast forward to today and they’ve continued to push us higher and higher.

For paid media Titan works to deliver our brand messaging to the right persona at the right time. They manage everything in the account including creating ads, testing, experimenting, etc. They also provide on-page SEO for our website and make updates on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. The goal is to help generate more exposure, more leads, and push more keyword rankings onto the first page.

What was the team composition?

The teams are made up of groups of people for both SEO and PPC. Each group has specialists that work on different components of either SEO or PPC.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our ROI has been good and we are pleased with the continual progress we’ve made over the last 3 years working together. We’ve seen more leads, and better exposure as a result of working with Titan.

We have one project manager who interfaces with me and the Titan Growth team. Their systems are buttoned down and effective.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

There is a lot of great stuff happening at Titan. They continue to innovate and are constantly trying to beat their most recent results even if those results are great. They have a good culture. I feel like they really care about my success as their partner.

Titan Growth manages all aspects of our SEO. They make updates to our site on a weekly basis, track and monitor our performance, and report back to us on a regular basis. They also proactively give us recommendations. For PPC Titan has a dedicated team that manages all of our campaigns and ad groups.

I’m closely involved with helping to structure budget and I work with the Titan team to continue to push the performance higher. We’ve seen great growth in terms of leads, performance, and revenue from both SEO and PPC under Titan Growth’s watch.

We have two pods of team members that work under one project manager. Our project manager is our main POC. We have scheduled calls every month to review everything. The two pods are broken up into specialists for both SEO and PPC. They are often in meetings as well.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The first year we worked with Titan Growth we saw a considerable increase in leads, revenue, traffic, you name it. It was impressive. We did not expect to continue to see that kind of growth every year. Even the team at Titan told us it wasn’t sustainable. However, we have continued to crush every year with better performance. We are over 1,000% higher in almost all KPI’s since we started. So the results have been phenomenal.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Like I referenced in the question about the team makeup, the project management is arranged in such a way that I only need to talk to one POC who manages everything. The team at Titan has done a great job with managing every aspect of our complicated and complex projects. They take the strategy to layers that most wouldn’t think about.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

First and foremost it has to be the technology they’ve built. The TitanBOT technology continues to be innovated on by their team and gives us an advantage over our competitors. I’ve seen it first hand, and it’s impressive. I have no doubt that it is a big reason we’ve seen such amazing results. Their team is also made of A+ players. Everyone I’ve interacted with genuinely cares about our success and has the tools to make a difference.

I would love it if they offered more services. If they brought the same level of expertise to other digital offerings we’d be all over it.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Tons of exciting first page rankings that really demonstrate the caliber of work and dedication to the strategy. The first page rankings on some competitive keywords show that it works and help our brand compete online.

So far so good! Regular reporting, and being a local agency we get together periodically for ongoing planning.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are super professional and responsive. Their search engine crawler technology was something I had not seen elsewhere.

Back in 2007 SEO was a pretty new concept, but Titan Growth already seemed to have a good handle on it. Our goal was to generate leads from the website, but also to be there top of mind when our customers would search for a company like ours. Our goals today are the same. We want to get great leads from our efforts.

How did you select this vendor?

We selected Titan Growth because of their experience and because they were eager to help us grow. They were one of the first companies to figure out a strategy that would help get keyword rankings for businesses onto Google’s first page. Today, they have continued to improve their processes and are ahead of the curve.

Back when we started we had a new website. In the beginning Titan Growth helped us with the launch and build out of the new site. They went in and changed a bunch of the code, added things like title and meta descriptions, modified the content, and changed link structure.

After they had done the foundational work they continued to work to get us more exposure. We’ve been working with Titan growth for 12+ years and they have continued to adapt and change over that time.

The introduction of their TitanBOT technology was a big deal for us. When they started to use the technology on our site it really started to grow. Shortly after that, we added PPC as a secondary service to help drive even more leads.

Over the 12 years, we’ve always had one point person that helps to manage our strategy. Titan calls that position a PM, and they manage both the SEO and PPC team for us. It’s not unusual for other team members to be on our calls to add or get more information on what they are currently working on.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We give a lot of credit to Titan for helping us grow the business when we first started, and to continue to help get us business now. I have told the team there that when we first started working with them I was eating top ramen noodles so I could afford their fees!

Here we are 12 years later and it’s one of the best decisions I made to work with them. They have always been there when I needed them from a consulting perspective, but most importantly the services they provide, SEO and PPC, continue to drive a bunch of value for my business!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Project management is done in a way that requires little of my time, which is important because I’m very busy. I can trust the Titan Growth team to get things done without me having to check on them, or remind them that something needs to be done.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their service is top notch, the results they deliver are incredible, and the team is great to work with. Keep in mind if you are considering hiring them that the SEO portion takes time. It’s not going to happen over-night. But if you stick with them it will pay off. T

heir PPC team is also top notch and they have a good relationship with Google, Bing, Facebook, and LinkedIn so that helps out a lot. They go above and beyond on a continual basis.

When we came into the market about a decade ago, we wanted to make an effort with PPC and SEO. Titan Growth was brought on to help with that.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our work with them started with SEO. We were trying to gain traction and recognition in that effort. Once we were started there, we moved on to PPC through Google Ads. The main focus has been on SEO, but we are actively working on the ads as well.

What is the team composition?

Over the years, we’ve worked with many different people. There are always many team members operating in the background, but we keep one main point of contact. Currently, we’re working with Austin (Project Manager, Titan Growth) directly. On our calls, other people join depending on the topic of discussion.

It was many years ago. We were doing online searching and found strong recommendations for their services. They were ranked highly by independent companies evaluating SEO companies at the time. We reached out to them from there.

We spend about $30,000 each year for their SEO and PPC services combined.

We started working with them in 2010, and the collaboration is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Now, we have over 1,000 first-page results on search engines. When we started out with them, we didn’t really have an online presence. We’ve been able to infiltrate the market with their help. Initially, we were just getting leads through PPC because we weren’t known in the industry. At this point, we have a good deal of traffic coming organically. We can attribute a lot of that success to Titan Growth’s role in our engagement.

How did Titan Growth perform from a project management standpoint?

We take calls with them every other week to review the last month’s progress and upcoming targets. Our teams use that time to devise a game plan and examine the potential for certain web pages. Now that we’re ranked highly, we can track keywords to push us up to the first page. We collaborate with them on that. Outside of our meetings, they’re readily available to us when needed

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have their own proprietary software that works closely with Google to inform their SEO tactics. That’s been helpful in achieving success because they’re able to predict which SEO methods will allow us to avoid looking too strategic and stay off of Google’s penalty radar.

They have a nice system in place. Trust the process and work with them to push your project in the right direction.

Threadbird is a screen printing & merchandise company that specializes in all aspects of screen printing, embroidery, custom-cut garments, and promotional products. Users come to our platform to create a physical representation of what we call “their tribe.” We’ve printed for Fortune 500 companies, churches, schools, sports team, and emerging apparel brands. In several cases, we’ve worked with a client from ideation to production to customer delivery fulfillment.

What challenge were you trying to address with Titan Growth?

We employed a prior agency for specifically SEO services. We had reached our limitations with them because their team couldn’t provide more guidance. Our company knew that there was a better agency out there.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our engagement started with SEO and grew from there. We started with a baseline and understanding of how we would grow from there. After establishing a baseline of 2,500 keywords within the first three pages of Google, we started onboarding them for Google Ads. Their team also performs social media advertising for us through Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

Our team conducted an extensive search. I talked to around 20 different companies. Titan Growth stood out because of their understanding of Google and how SEO works within it. They had a step up from other agencies in that regard. I also enjoyed that their company is a similar size to us, but works with groups much larger than ours. The opportunity to work with an agency that we could grow into was attractive to our team.

We’ve invested between $200,000–$ 1 million.

Our engagement with Titan Growth started in July 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re ranking well above our baseline. In about a year and a half, we’ve ranked between 4,700–4,800 keywords. Due to Titan Growth, we’ve doubled our exposure to potential customers. As of August 2019, we’ve listed 2,700 keywords on the first page. We’re pleased about that.

Google Ads and our social media work have also been a success.  In full transparency, we’ve eliminated our budget for LinkedIn. It wasn’t working, which happens. There are going to be tests that work well and others that don’t.

Internally, all of their work has been well-received. We’ve upped on monthly spend with them with social media and Google Ads. If we weren’t impressed with Titan Growth, we wouldn’t keep spending money with them.

How did Titan Growth perform from a project management standpoint?

From a project management standpoint, it has gone very well. When our engagement began, they said everything would be up and running in 30 days. Titan Growth kept their promises. They hit their marks while making sure we are held accountable. Their team keeps an eye on what we need to do to keep us on target and done within a timely fashion.

Having worked with various agencies, I’ve enjoyed with Titan Growth that we had a seamless user experience while transitioning from the sales team to the account team. Sometimes, clients can form a close relationship with the sales team and have to start from scratch with another group. The ease of working with Jake to Sam has been smooth.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate their responsive communication. We’re not their largest client, but I always receive a response from Sam within a couple of hours. On the rare times that he’s unavailable, he’s transparent and lets me know who I can talk to during his absence. Sam also lets me know if he doesn’t have an answer. He will find a way to get me the right answer. Other agencies are inclined to guess a solution that ends up being incorrect. I need the correct answer, not an explanation just for the sake of answering the question.

Are there any areas they could improve?

When we first launched, I wish we did social media advertising with them because we would’ve been much further along. Other than that, no. Nothing is missing from their team.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would recommend Titan Growth to clients.

Pac-Van is a B2B company that works in the storage solutions field, which includes shipping containers, ground-level offices, modular buildings, portable liquid storage tanks, and mobile offices. We’re based mainly in the construction industry, dealing with the rental and sale of shipping containers.

What challenge were you trying to address with Titan Growth?

We wanted to develop our organic leads. First, we engaged with Titan Growth to assist with our SEO and SEM. We also hired them to be in charge of our PPC campaigns.

Titan Growth helped clarify our strategy. Our company is continuing to grow with multiple locations and innovative product lines. Their team has worked with that information to find ways to garner leads. We also created an e-commerce store, which is strange for our industry. Users can buy and rent containers online. What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Titan Growth is continuing to find ways to grow the company organically. We’ve had issues tracking what comes from paid or organic. After a year, we decided to engage with another vendor for PPC. This had nothing to do with Titan Growth’s work, but people higher up in the company felt nervous and wanted to separate the two. When we had them working on both processes, it was easy to see how wonderful the numbers were. Now it’s a little harder, but we measure success in a variety of ways and continue to grow.

How did Titan Growth perform from a project management standpoint?

Titan Growth is always willing to go above and beyond. For instance, I received an email today about something that didn’t pertain to them, but I still asked the SEM team. Sam responded, giving me an expert opinion. He wrote out an in-depth email that explained the topic quickly without dumbing anything down. We receive monthly reports and have a monthly call. They’re extremely helpful. It’s easy to get answers to our questions and reports. Titan Growth is respectable to their clients.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their customer support is impressive. Their team truly goes above and beyond to explain processes. They’re always there for their clients. If someone is out, they make sure a backup plan is in place, so that anyone can fix the problem or answer the question. It’s commendable how Titan Growth works.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they’ve consistently been there for us. If we feel that something is off or we need something, they’re willing to step it up. Since they’re industry experts, Titan Growth gives educated knowledge that we look to. It’s nice working with a company that’s willing to break information down, discuss the reasoning behind issues were concerned about and can explain why an idea we present may not be the best for the future.

It’s refreshing to find a company that works so hard for their customers. A lot of people work on autopilot, only checking in once a month. Titan Growth looks at our project daily. They treat us like we’re their only client.

Titan Growth helped us increase customer awareness through an improvement in our page rankings. Besides improved page rankings, the key results we've seen are an increase in page traffic and an improved overall website strategy.

Aside from that, the monthly reports ensure continuous improvement by providing constant updates and ideas.

How did the Titan Growth perform from a project management standpoint?

The team provides detailed answers to my frequent questions via email or the phone. They investigate solutions if they don’t have one readily available. Also, they are quick to respond, which means we can grow the project scope without waiting for them to catch up.

In regard to SEO, they are the best vendors I have worked with. The team is personable, responsive, and knowledgeable. The simplicity of having one contact person for all questions is really helpful.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We want to improve our local SEO, but this isn’t something that Titan Growth typically does. However, they’ve provided many helpful suggestions for improvement in that area and are helping us do our best to rank locally despite that not being in their wheelhouse. So even though I would love it if they were also local SEO experts, they’ve still impressed me with their willingness to support us in that way.
