Pac-Van is a B2B company that works in the storage solutions field, which includes shipping containers, ground-level offices, modular buildings, portable liquid storage tanks, and mobile offices. We’re based mainly in the construction industry, dealing with the rental and sale of shipping containers.

What challenge were you trying to address with Titan Growth?

We wanted to develop our organic leads. First, we engaged with Titan Growth to assist with our SEO and SEM. We also hired them to be in charge of our PPC campaigns.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Titan Growth helped clarify our strategy. Our company is continuing to grow with multiple locations and innovative product lines. Their team has worked with that information to find ways to garner leads. We also created an e-commerce store, which is strange for our industry. Users can buy and rent containers online. They’ve helped us with that as well.

What is the team composition?

We have a team of four or five. I work closely with about three of them, including Sam (Lead SEO & PPC Project Manager, Titan Growth).

How did you come to work with Titan Growth?

We asked a partner who was leaving the company for some suggestions. After pointing out that Titan Growth seemed reputable, we met with them and were highly impressed. Our engagement grew from there.

How much have you invested with them?

We spend around $5,000 a month.

Our engagement with Titan Growth began in May 2017.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Titan Growth is continuing to find ways to grow the company organically. We’ve had issues tracking what comes from paid or organic. After a year, we decided to engage with another vendor for PPC. This had nothing to do with Titan Growth’s work, but people higher up in the company felt nervous and wanted to separate the two. When we had them working on both processes, it was easy to see how wonderful the numbers were. Now it’s a little harder, but we measure success in a variety of ways and continue to grow.

How did Titan Growth perform from a project management standpoint?

Titan Growth is always willing to go above and beyond. For instance, I received an email today about something that didn’t pertain to them, but I still asked the SEM team. Sam responded, giving me an expert opinion. He wrote out an in-depth email that explained the topic quickly without dumbing anything down. We receive monthly reports and have a monthly call. They’re extremely helpful. It’s easy to get answers to our questions and reports. Titan Growth is respectable to their clients.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their customer support is impressive. Their team truly goes above and beyond to explain processes. They’re always there for their clients. If someone is out, they make sure a backup plan is in place, so that anyone can fix the problem or answer the question. It’s commendable how Titan Growth works.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they’ve consistently been there for us. If we feel that something is off or we need something, they’re willing to step it up. Since they’re industry experts, Titan Growth gives educated knowledge that we look to. It’s nice working with a company that’s willing to break information down, discuss the reasoning behind issues were concerned about and can explain why an idea we present may not be the best for the future.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It’s refreshing to find a company that works so hard for their customers. A lot of people work on autopilot, only checking in once a month. Titan Growth looks at our project daily. They treat us like we’re their only client.

Our VP, marketing communications employees, and our CMO were involved in the hiring decision. Since we were just starting out in SEO, we wanted a team that could provide simple answers and set us up for long term growth. We looked into a handful of other vendors before deciding to hire the team. The people we connected with and their measured approach to the data really solidified our partnership.

The team works to optimize our SEO with the aim of improving our Google rankings. They also work to increase the reach of our content so that it can be easily found through organic searches. Titan Growth continuously provides stakeholders with insight about algorithm changes and methods of site improvement.

We work with one main project manager and another Titan Growth employee that communicates our SEO updates. Our contact Sam (Lead SEO & PPC Project Manager, Titan Growth) brings in other team members as needed.

Can you share any statistics or metrics that speak to the quality of their work and impact of the engagement?

Titan Growth helped us increase customer awareness through an improvement in our page rankings. Besides improved page rankings, the key results we've seen are an increase in page traffic and an improved overall website strategy.

Aside from that, the monthly reports ensure continuous improvement by providing constant updates and ideas.

How did the Titan Growth perform from a project management standpoint?

The team provides detailed answers to my frequent questions via email or the phone. They investigate solutions if they don’t have one readily available. Also, they are quick to respond, which means we can grow the project scope without waiting for them to catch up.

What impresses you about the Titan Growth?

In regard to SEO, they are the best vendors I have worked with. The team is personable, responsive, and knowledgeable. The simplicity of having one contact person for all questions is really helpful.

Our internal team is excellent at producing content for us, but Titan Growth helps us improve that content for SEO purposes without plugging unnatural keywords into our blog posts or web pages.

Titan Growth crawls through our web content and makes suggestions for updates based on our goals. After we give our approval, they implement and monitor those changes for us. We meet bi-weekly to discuss how we’re doing, changes to major search engine algorithms, and what they plan on doing to ensure that we don't lose any previously obtained results.

In regards to SEO, our goal was to fend off some major competitors who were growing very aggressive in our market, with organic exposure that was eating away at our market share. We also wanted to increase our national reach and brand awareness and improve our paid media performance.

How did you select this vendor?

We spoke with a number of agencies. We ultimately chose Titan Growth because of their technology, team, and track record.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

They manage all SEO, using their in-house TitanBOT technology to drive the strategy and make frequent adjustments and on-page changes to our site. Additionally, they consult with our team on content and have guided us through two website migrations.

They also coordinate and execute our entire paid media strategy. They handle Google Ads, Bing, and a few retargeting platforms as well as our social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, restructuring and retooling the accounts multiple times. They supervise the spending, then readjust the budgets to meet our goals.

As far as email marketing, they manage both cold email outreach and nurturing. They helped develop ideal customer profiles and implemented an impressive tech stack that ensures delivery into inboxes.

What was the team composition?

We have one primary point of contact at Titan Growth who answers all of our questions and brings in other team members when appropriate. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They added millions in additional SEO revenue in just the first year. Previously, SEO alone had been responsible for less than a million dollars in annual revenue; now it generates tens of millions of dollars in business. They accomplished this by investigating in depth those keywords that would actually result in paying customers.

On the paid media side, we identified very specific ROI goals that needed to be met in order for us to be competitive and profitable. We did not meet those goals the first few months, but Titan was very clear that was to be expected. Once they restructured the accounts, the performance improved exponentially. We continue to exceed our ROI goal, enabling us to increase our spending and generate millions of dollars in additional revenue.

The email marketing efforts complement the paid and SEO strategies because we are able to target the email list on all paid media channels and attract more people with SEO. Because of this, we’ve landed some massive accounts.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow has been great. They communicate probably more than necessary, but that keeps us involved and informed. I’m more of a macro manager, so when things are going well, I tend to leave them alone and let the project run itself. We are guilty of skipping the every-other-week meetings (which Titan strongly dislikes) but I know my team appreciates the communication and really enjoys working with them.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their performance definitely tops the list. They have delivered on everything that they said they would and then some, all with some incredibly sophisticated strategies that extend beyond my expertise. Their TitanBOT technology and cold email tech stack are beyond impressive, as are their video brochures and their paid media relationship with Google.

They are also a great group of people. Titan recently won a “Best Places to Work” award from Inc Magazine, and I was not the least bit surprised.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I would love for them to adopt other more traditional areas of marketing, such as radio, television, and direct mail. Other than that, I can think of nothing else they can improve upon.
