• As our company continued to scale, we needed a reliable way to synchronize data between our accounting software and our field software. While a basic API integration already existed, it quickly became clear that the standard sync did not support many of the data fields critical to our internal operations and reporting.
• In addition to improving the current integration, we also wanted expert input and pricing estimates for several upcoming technical projects so we could plan our roadmap more effectively.

The scope of work involved designing and implementing a custom API sync that extended beyond the standard integration. Timebase added multiple additional data fields and implemented custom logic to ensure everything synced accurately between systems. Their proposal was transparent, clearly structured, and set realistic expectations from the start.

By the end of the project, every field we identified at the beginning was syncing correctly, and all additional logic worked exactly as intended. The solution was stable, reliable, and ready for day-to-day operations without issues.

I'm an executive at StockSpeak, a dual-sided platform that gives retail investors a free, per-ticker research hub, charts, fundamentals, and landing pages sitting alongside iutable, timestamped influencer track records with independently calculated gains.

We needed help building our platform from the ground up.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Timebase has built our platform from the ground up. Around that, we need a full per-ticker research experience (charts, fundamentals, and AI-generated investment memos), a community layer with several integrations pulled into the feed, and the infrastructure to support tiered plans and a referral system. Just as important as the feature list was the engineering bar; we wanted a clean, modern, maintainable codebase we could keep building on for years, not a throwaway MVP.Timebase has handled our end-to-end architecture, frontend, backend, and third-party integrations, building it as a full-stack application on a modern Next.js and React stack. How did you come to work with Timebase?

I first connected with Timebase when I was acquiring IP for my business. I was so impressed with the quality of their codebase that they became my development team. I chose them because their pricing fit our budget, they offered good value for the cost, and their company values aligned with ours.

The engagement lasted from January–May 2026.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Timebase has delivered the initial scope in three months — a full month ahead of schedule — without the quality slipping, which is exactly why we've kept expanding the work rather than stopping at the first release. They've gone on to ship several additional phases beyond the original build, including community integrations and an AI research layer, each delivered as its own milestone and on or ahead of schedule.StockSpeak is still pre-launch, so the meaningful outcomes at this stage are about delivery rather than user metrics. Every phase has landed on time or early, and the result is a fully functional, launch-ready platform with live data running through it. The strongest signal is that a one-off IP purchase has grown into a multi-phase build and an ongoing development partnership — I don't keep handing work to a vendor that misses.On quality, the proof is in the codebase rather than a single number. Timebase has built our platform on a modern, consistent stack (Next.js, React, Prisma), and more importantly, with real engineering discipline around it: an automated test suite, code-quality and formatting checks that run on every change, pre-commit quality gates, strict type-checking, and production error monitoring through Sentry. That's the difference between code that demos well and code you can keep building on. The practical evidence is that we've commissioned phase after phase on top of the original foundation without rewrites, and the platform runs cleanly with live market and community data flowing through it. For me, the strongest 'metric' is behavioral — we keep expanding the engagement, which we wouldn't do if the quality didn't hold.

How did Timebase perform from a project management standpoint?

Timebase has delivered ahead of schedule and included some things that we never even thought to ask for. They have excellent, organized project management. We communicate via virtual meetings and email or messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Two things set Timebase apart. First, they've brought the right connections and resources to the table, so problems that would have been expensive to solve from scratch have been handled far more efficiently, which has genuinely saved me money. Second, they've been consistently creative: when we've run into challenges that other vendors couldn't solve or would have thrown heavy, expensive solutions at, Timebase has found smarter, leaner ways through. That mix of a strong network and real problem-solving is a big part of why the project has stayed on budget and ahead of schedule.
