I'm a research engineer working with several companies to bring technology ideas to realization through proof of design development.

We hired Timbergrove to develop an ioT network using the latest technology currently available. We wanted the best system to capture all significant data our environmental sensors produced. There team exceeded our expectations by meeting a short deadline and adding great value-added options such as analytics.

There service and products provided everything promised and impressed our investors. We were able to go to the next level of development!

SOLUTION

How did you select Timbergrove Solutions, LLC and what were the deciding factors?

We connected with Timbergrove as they were recommended by a global provider of wireless and ioT services.

With only minimal requirements for ioT data acquisition and communication from us, Timbergrove researched and found the latest technology in ioT communication, built the necessary hardware, developed the necessary software and web application, and included data analytics that blew us away!

How many resources from the Timbergrove Solutions, LLC team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Ian Uriarte brought several developers and admin together to accurately understand our needs and requirements. Over the course of a year, we interacted with a number of engineers/developers that built the system. When the system was initially sent to us, there were a couple of hardware issues we were not able to resolve.

When we contacted TImbergrove, they jumped into action and used live feeds to diagnose and resolve the problems. We later discovered a misstep on our part caused the problem. Timbergrove is not only a great technical resource, they also understand the human piece and are a great resource at difficult times.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Because of the great web application and delivering more than promised, we were given the opportunity to present our sensor technology to our target global company. We are still in development and believe we will be bring more related projects to Timbergrove in the future.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Timbergrove went beyond our expectations for communication, timeliness, and milestone targets to move our project through every step of development.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are extremely innovative and high-energy. They seemed part of our company with their enthusiasm.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They were the perfect collaborator for our project. I'm sure they have areas they could improve as every company does, I just did not experience any.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the co-founder and CEO of a facial analysis company. We had a Cloud-based API for facial recognition and were trying to partner with registration and ticketing companies.

What challenge were you trying to address with Timbergrove Solutions, LLC?

We needed to develop a user interface using iframes to embed into our partners’ applications, enabling a quicker and easier check-in process for events and tickets.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They did frontend design of the interface, as well as implementation. They did everything on the frontend. They used InVision. For implementation, I don’t recall if they used Angular or JavaScript.

They also provided QA on a different project for us.

What is the team composition?

Ian (Founder/CEO) was my main contact. He had a team that included designers and developers.

How did you come to work with Timbergrove Solutions, LLC?

We worked in the same office building. Ian was easy to talk to, and strong in his technical background and experience, and we appreciated the approach of his team.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $6,000–$9,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from July–August 2018. The project lasted for about 6 weeks.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

After developing this application, we were able to onboard many companies. There were 6-12 companies that started using this iframe-based solution. They did very high-end quality work. 

How did Timbergrove Solutions, LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

We had regular meetings. Different team members were involved depending on the tasks being discussed.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They produce high-end solutions. Ian is strong in developing applications and improving existing systems. He also has full, and part-time resources, making it convenient to implement the right people for various tasks and projects. They are enjoyable to work with, and the entire team shows great respect for Ian. They work well together.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No.

Present clear specifications, or a mockup, in the beginning.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Timbergrove Solutions, LLC?

We partnered together to penetrate new markets. We’ve been working on the agricultural industry in the New York state for now.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Timbergrove provides consulting and programming services. They also provide a software, called Maximo, that’s used by dairy farmers and all the services that are necessary to facilitate Maximo. This is a collaboration in which we’re providing the solution for one of my clients. We use AWS as well as some other third-party vendors and databases.

Timbergrove demonstrates and provides technical support for the farms to integrate existing software. Their team also trains and gives technical support on Maximo and other related software. The use of Maximo is for enterprise asset management (EAM). Basically, dairy farmers use Maximo to keep track of and analyze their assets.

What is the team composition?

There are about 4–5 individuals on the team.

How did you come to work with Timbergrove Solutions, LLC?

We’re both IBM business partners. When I started working with IBM, I wanted to partner with a firm to penetrate the agricultural market in this area, throughout the country, and eventually internationally.

Timbergrove is just the right size for our needs. They also have the experience and expertise to enhance my company’s penetration into the agricultural market.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested about $120,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement started in December 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We quoted and got a commitment from my client for Timbergrove to install and provide technical support for Maximo. Not to mention, we’ve done this successfully with the pandemic. Their familiarity with IBM products has enabled us to come in at a competitive price because we’re picking the ones that are most efficient and profitable for us.

How did Timbergrove Solutions, LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

They follow through on commitments. When they say they’re going to meet and talk with me at a certain time, they’re there. Unless of course there’s an unforeseeable obligation that pops up. But for the most part, they’re extremely reliable. We communicate weekly by email as well as once or twice by phone during any given month.

What did you find most impressive about them?

There’s an extreme level of confidence that we both have in each other. Even during the times when I may not have been entirely sure what direction I was heading in. Timbergrove had enough confidence to support me in the direction I was headed in, and it resulted in success for both of us.

We all work together easily and pleasantly so there’s a good working relationship. They’re extremely knowledgeable about Maximo and the business as well as have access to any necessary resources to service any of these clients.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they’re doing a great job. We’ve had success and that’s evidence that our collaboration works.
