The scope of work covered the end-to-end technical development of the VolEver mobile application and its supporting administration system. The project included:

• development of the mobile application for Android and iOS,
• backend development and system architecture,
• setup of a Django-based admin interface for managing users, requests, and communication,
• implementation of key user features such as registration, verification flows, help requests and offers, chat, scheduling, and notifications,
• testing and iterative improvements based on operational feedback,
• bug fixing, release support, and technical consultation.

The main deliverables were a fully functional mobile app, a working administrative backend, core matching and communication features, deployment-ready releases, and supporting technical guidance for further use and maintenance.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project resulted in a functional mobile application that was launched on Android and later made available on iOS. Within the first month after launch, the app reached more than 400 registered users, which was an important early indicator of adoption. Another measurable outcome was the delivery of a working Django-based administrative environment that enabled our team to manage registrations, user verification, moderation, and communication processes in practice. The platform was also made available beyond the Czech Republic, including Poland and Lithuania, which confirmed its readiness for use in a multi-country project context.

Project management was satisfactory overall, although there were some challenges during the cooperation, especially in communication and coordination. We appreciated that Think Easy acknowledged these issues and responded with a staffing change on their side, which led to an improvement. They were willing to react to our needs, address feedback, and continue adjusting the work based on the realities of the project. Despite some difficulties along the way, they remained committed to delivering the necessary outputs and supporting the project as it evolved.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What we found most impressive was their willingness to adapt the solution to real operational needs rather than treating the project as a fixed technical assignment. This was not a standard commercial app, but a tool used in a sensitive social context involving volunteers, refugees, and project staff across multiple countries. As this was our first experience with mobile app development, we also appreciated their effort to explain technical matters to us in an understandable way and guide us through the process. That made the cooperation easier for a non-technical team.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Think Easy s.r.o. could have done differently?

One area for improvement would be more in-person meetings focused on the design of the mobile application and the administrative system. For our team, especially as a non-technical client, face-to-face discussions would have made it easier to align expectations, clarify details, and make some decisions more efficiently. While the cooperation worked overall, more personal design sessions could have improved the process.
