My company is devoted to marketing and travels and I am the CEO of the company.

For what projects/services did your company hire TheDevLoft?

TheDevLoft has created a few websites for my clients and their graphic designers created allot of different content for us for for instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook.

What were your goals for this project?

My goal was to get great quality for the lowest prices and I found that they had exactly what I needed.

How did you select this vendor?

I had met this vendor before heading back to the US in Krakow where they told me about the work they do. It was an easy choice. I realized the owner was passionate about what he did and he did it for the right reasons.

He spoke about how he wanted to create a company that catered to different budgets and allowed people who did not have so much to be able to get a chance to build something so I guess he is more focused on building long term relationships and investing in the clients.

Describe the project in detail.

Website development in WordPress, a couple of e-commerce websites, one blockchain, and two applications for food delivery for African clients and Middle Eastern.

What was the team composition?

I have no idea. All I know is that I contact the owner and tell him what I won't give a deposit and watch them work their magic.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

If we have tasked them with a few projects its because we are always more than happy because the quality of work is spectacular. They always seem to go above and beyond to make us happy and because we use them regularly we get some extras for free which is always great.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

After telling them what the project is and giving them as much information as we can get to work and always deliver on time and on budget or twice under budget.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The speed and quality of the work. Mathieu knows how to make you feel relaxed and you just feel like you have nothing to worry about. I have had nothing to worry about even though one time a client changed his Idea a few times it did not upset the team they just adapted and pushed forwards and got everything done.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The first time we needed a 3d artist for an animation they only had one that was busy but Mathieu said they hired another two to keep up with demand so I guess they fixed the only issue I ever had. TheDevLoft will be my go-to agency for all our needs in the foreseeable future.

For what projects/services did your company hire TheDevLoft?

TheDevLoft built websites for use before and did an amazing job.   This last job we had an advert to create for a  big client and needed a company we have worked with to build their website. This client needed us to create a promotional video of their product. Client needed us to create a marketing strategy and we were short-staffed due to the Covid situation. We knew that TheDevLoft have an amazing marketing team that we also consult with and vis versa.

We worked with them develop the clients new E-commerce website, develop a brand marketing strategy, the whole nine yards. TheDevLoft were tasked with creating a marketing strategy and website while we created the promotional videos, creation of social media accounts and managing them. The timeline was short as the product is a product built to help disinfect hospitals, homes, offices, during the Covid 19 Pandemic.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal as always is client satisfaction. We were short staffed and because TheDevLofts reputation speaks for itself.  Our goal was to create a full-on Marketing strategy and really get everything created as quick as possible as the client’s product would sell well during the pandemic but also could save many many lives. The product and reputation of the client would make it easy to sell the product but we had to create a marketing strategy and advertising that would be well received in different markets all over the world

How did you select this vendor?

Like I said TheDevLoft was an easy choice. We have worked with them before and we know Mathieu the Founder & CEO is a perfectionist and will make sure his agency would always deliver on top and on budget. They have grown so fast in a few months and have an amazing team who are also able to translate in many languages, many of which we needed to translate the brochures, banners, etc.

We tasked TheDevLoft with the following:

What was the team composition?

TheDevLoft has as a small team of developers but they are extremely effective with their time. They were able to get the website done quickly.  The Marketing team we had consisted of Mathieu himself and 4 other members of his marketing team.     We had two graphic designers working on the project one was French and other from Azerbaijan like our company.  One of his graphic designers is from the same country as my company so speak to him in the native language and have him create the design needed. The French guy Pierre has won awards for his work in animation.  Previously worked with a studio creating

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Like every project we do or have done with their company. TheDevLoft delivered on time. We can see the experience of their team.  We have gotten them to add a few things to the website but overall we will be using them now and be needed them to work with us to modify a few things when the Covid 19 pandemic is over.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Our teams have worked together a few times and because Mathieu is really easy to get along with, I believe he chose a team that was like him. They are easy going but extremely professional. We spent hours on Zoom everyday doing back and forth.  

Since they work late at night as some of clients in the US and other countries require work to be done late their team and hours worked late night but we got the work done quickly. It’s almost like working with my own team.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Everything. The company started less than a year and have been able to get some big clients. What is there to say but good things.  The CEO told me he had planned for a while to open his company before he did and it shows he had the experience and contacts to be able to get such good clients. They work with small companies and big companies and adapt quickly.

That is what was so great. They quickly built a team to focus on our project within 48 hours.  I believe their company will grow rapidly but for now I can tell that every member of the team has a huge amount of experience in their different domains. 

Are there any areas for improvement?

I wish they had an office but they had one but closed it as they are not allowed to work in the office anymore until the pandemic is over. We will definitely be working with them again and hopefully see them in their new office.

I hired TheDevLofts amazing Digital marketing team to make sure the website I had created was SEO friendly but also tasked them to do some other advertising that was required by my client.

What were your goals for this project?

My goals for the project was to give the client what they asked for. Although we design and build websites and deal with all the graphics having a team of professional making sure the website gets seen and get TheDevLoft to create a marketing campaign around the clients product.

I had previously worked with the devloft on a UI/UX design for a website and did some work with them.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

My company deals with web dev and design but as Digital Marketing isnt reall what we do it was easy to choose their company to deal with creating advertising, Optomising the website but also marketing the company using different forms of marketing. I just let them do what they do and they more than surpassed our expectations. My client was very happy with the job both from my side and thedevloft.

What was the team composition?

TheDevloft has strong team but I never went into detail with them about it. I just knew they could handle it easily.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I previously spoke about the about the outcome. TheDevLoft surpassed our expectations. They took charge and got things done. I wish I had used them before. Mathieu is easy going and very friendly. As long as my client is happy I am happy.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

TheDevLoft like I said was tasked with marketing the clients products on Facebook, instagram and because they are in contact with some well know influencers the clients product got allot of orders within day 3 of handing the marketing part of the project to their company.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

This is the first time I've worked with them but it definitely won't be the last. They had used my services when they first started and still as for consult because they always want my point of view on designs.

Are there any areas for improvement?

workflow with my team and TheDevlofts was smooth because when you take two companies that know what they are doing and understand how things work its easy to get things done.I think Mathieu and his team at TheDevLoft would need a bigger marketing team soon because I will and my clients also be using more of their services.

I’m the CEO of the Finnish company Celarius.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with TheDevLoft?

I was looking for developers.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started off by discussing the project. I gave TheDevLoft some documentation, they came back with an offer, and we split it off into milestones.

There’s a variety of technologies involved. We’re using Firebase for web development, and we’re also doing mobile application development on top of it. There’s also some RESTful API development. The languages used are JavaScript and TypeScript, along with normal web ones — HTML and CSS.

I started off by requesting a general UI/UX design. My drawing skills are very bad, so I just presented some wireframes of what I wanted, and asked them to make it look good. Once we locked that down, they started the implementation. We split the project into short milestones based on which features should be done first and which should come later. We can always look at where we are and what we’re doing.

What is the team composition?

Mathieu (Founder and CEO) is my main point of contact.

How did you come to work with TheDevLoft?

I went to Ukraine multiple times to have discussions with different development companies. I chose the location because the development cost in Ukraine is much lower than in the Nordic countries. I got a lot of business contacts on my trip there, TheDevLoft being one of them.

How much have you invested with them?

It’s a bit hard to give an estimate because we’re still negotiating the project and we’ve done it in stages. I’d say I’ve spent €3,000–€6,000 (approximately $3,300–$6,600 USD) per month on development with them. 

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with TheDevLoft around January 2020. The project is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They have an interesting model: Mathieu finds the developers I need for the project, who then present their work. They’re partly hired or subcontracted to him; it depends. Mostly, I’ve seen the results of people working in the project, and I’d say I’ve seen 2–5 applications, web pages, and designs. It depends on what the person does, but I have lots of examples of what they’ve done.

How did TheDevLoft perform from a project management standpoint?

We mostly communicate through online chat and email. We have checkup calls if needed, but it isn’t actually relevant to speak to them face-to-face. I like to keep it much more optimized than that.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The developers are pretty standard, but the way TheDevLoft manages its customers is a bit different from most other people I’ve met. They want to keep the customer happy, and they charge us once we’re happy. That’s a bit of a gamechanger in the field, given that most companies like to charge upfront. We get what we get, then we have to negotiate on making changes. 

TheDevLoft does it the other way around: they discuss the deliverables with me to see if I'm happy, and make changes if I’m not. There might be costs involved in that, but they’re not predefined. They have different ways of approaching the customer, and I definitely like that.

There have been cases where the deliverable wasn’t exactly what I asked for, and I used to have to pay for it and the changes as well. This is one of the reasons I switched to TheDevLoft: they’re much more agile in that sense. It’s a small team, so I can keep track of them very tightly. There’s very good communication and feedback, keeping me in the loop with what’s going on.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Finding more highly skilled developers would be an improvement, but this isn’t TheDevLoft’s fault in any way. It’s the nature of the market they operate in. Other than that, I’m very happy with them.
