Terra took some broad suggestions about our goals for an ad campaign and presented a number of creative options. Upon our decision on which one to focus on, they worked with us to refine language and design, and then delivered a collection of print and digital ads.

They developed ads that ran in hundreds of newspapers, magazines, and news sites, that drove thousands of calls and emails to Congress.

They consistently met deadlines and were extremely responsive to outreach, both in the planning and deployment phases, as we asked for small tweaks and new sizes of the ad.

We enjoyed working with Meche and Maria and their team to set clear goals, deliverables, and time expectations. They were very responsive to our edits and for sharing revised versions for when we were presenting the annual report to executive leadership for their review. Their customer service was excellent, and we appreciated their responsiveness.

We're five hours apart, and that time difference didn't slow down the project at all. Their team has worked well with former colleagues at the New York Hall of Science on previous projects, which is why we continued to work with them.

Terra’s scope of work for GFCR included website development, web design, headless development, branding, and support to the digital architecture of REEF+, a community/knoweldge management platform. The agency developed a cohesive visual identity and digital experience aligned with GFCR’s mission, using reef-inspired imagery and clear messaging. Key deliverables included:

• design and development of GFCR’s website and REEF+ platform components
• a scalable and flexible content architecture
• custom administrative controls
• integrated analytics, expert profiles, interactive maps, and modular features to support solution discovery
• impact tracking

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Terra has done a fantastic job working on our project, and it is a pleasure to work with them.

The project resulted in the successful development of an expanded digital presence and centralized REEF+ platform for the Global Fund for Coral Reefs. Measurable outcomes included:

• On-time delivery of website (despite a really rushed one-month time frame)
• On-time delivery of a scalable, role-based platform connecting dozens of organizations across continents
• Continued management and upgrading of this platform

Together, these outputs are crucial for GFCR’s ability to share knowledge and track progress across its global conservation and blended finance portfolio.

Terra’s project management has been consistently strong and reliable. The team develops clear plans for each phase of work, communicates regularly through email and scheduled calls, and consistently delivers items on time. They have been highly responsive to GFCR’s needs, including adapting quickly to feedback, addressing requests promptly, and providing practical solutions when new priorities or adjustments arise. Overall, Terra has been a dependable and proactive partner, with a collaborative approach that has helped ensure smooth coordination and timely delivery!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What I found most impressive about Terra was the strength of their design skills and their ability to translate our needs into a visually compelling and user-friendly digital experience.

Their design approach felt highly unique because it combined strong creative direction with a deep understanding of GFCR’s mission. 

I am also especially impressed by Terra’s quick problem-solving and technical adaptability. As GFCR’s needs evolve, Terra is consistently able to propose practical solutions and quickly adapt platform features.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Terra could have done differently?

No, Terra is a professional and competent organisation.

I would certainly want to work with Terra again to design another project.
