TTFV first completed an auditing process, providing us with a thorough audit report for our Google Ads account and thorough SEO audit reports for two of the company's websites. These reports outlined key recommendations and actions to be performed by TTFV as well as other recommendations – e.g., SEO opportunities requiring website developer work. 

SEO deliverables included/include developing a keyword strategy for our business, on-site optimization and technical SEO with ongoing maintenance, such as correcting broken links, setting up or correcting redirects, inputting meta descriptions and optimizing content for keywords. The agency manages link building as well, including setup of 100 citation links and ongoing guest post links and post placement links. 

Google Ads deliverables included/include development of a new series of Google Ads for our business optimized for conversions, as well as ongoing maintenance, monitoring and adjustment of these ads based on performance, new features and other insights. This involves regular touchpoints with the business to understand conversion quality and value, as well as any business updates.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

SEO (over 4 months): 

• Improved site health from 74% to 82% 
• Built 100 citation links
• Built 11 niche edits and counting
• Built 6 guest posts and counting
• Development of a keyword strategy (did not exist previously) and adjusting that keyword strategy just three months into the relationship based on a new website the company launched.
• Rankings for 7/12 primary keywords improved significantly (one +61 in position)
• Organic traffic increased about 20% over our first three months of the relationship with a drop in the fourth month due to a significant change to the company's strategy involving a new website launch and re-work on webpages. 

Google Ads (Over 4 months) 

• Tested and confirmed successful strategy by ad type for our niche, B2B offering
• Increased ad impressions by over 400% while maintaining the same ad budget. however, we needed to pivot ad type to drive quality conversions.

The team at Ten Thousand Foot View (TTFV) is nothing but quick, thorough, flexible and accommodating – one of the best agency relationships I've experienced in my 15-year career in marketing communications. I've never seen more thorough reports and responses. The team answers all questions within hours, not days. They are available for conference calls at any time to discuss projects in more detail, and with patience and a smile. 

I appreciate the team does not assume we know all of the technical ins and outs of our work together and they provide thorough explanations with no assumptions. I truly appreciated the team's support throughout a key shift in our business recently. Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Setup was extremely quick. We were in a rush to get live, and they made it happen. Since then they have continuously worked with us to optimize ad spend with the primary goal of driving as many leads possible with the lowest possible cost per conversion. As we collected more data and increased our spend, we have been able to add new campaign types including remarketing and display.

Their communication is great. Very responsive. They don't create unnecessary hurdles. They've outlined key requirements but still have flexibility and understanding that things will evolve. They use tools for reporting the monthly performance, which while not flashy, give us the data we need to see. Communication happened by email and Google Meet.

The most unique thing about Ten Thousand Foot View is the owner Ed. He is extremely knowledgable, understands business strategy, processes, marketing, analytics, trends, tools, etc. He knows what he does not know, and will let you know when you need to bring in a 3rd party for a specific service area. In my extensive interactions with him he was extremely forthright and trustworthy.

Ed stays well under our target CPL (cost per lead). For another success metric, we also look at sales from those leads. Additionally, I calculate our ROAS (return on ad spend) from the leads that Ed secures. We’re currently at a ROAS of $26, which is great.

We mostly communicate via email but Ed’s also happy to jump on a phone call at any time. He quickly responds to us. Ed also always provides exactly what we need from him and gives us clear expectations for what he’ll provide.

I’m impressed by Ten Thousand Foot View’s ability to manage multiple campaigns at the same time. Ed quickly pivots when we pivot, so he’s flexible. He also stays professional throughout the process. Ten Thousand Foot View saves us a lot of time by managing our PPC campaigns. They have more expertise than us and constantly enhance our processes.

To measure our success, we look at the CPA and the number of leads received. They work within our CPA parameters and secure many more leads on a monthly basis. We’re constantly looking into the CPA for different campaigns.

The projects we do are relatively small so they don’t require elaborate methodology. Most of the time we discuss over the phone to agree on projects.
