I am the CEO of Sprog Group Limited. Sprog is an app that allows parents to find things to do with their children based on their time, budget and location. We are based near London in the UK and plans to expand across the rest of the country.

We were a new company and had 3 failed developers before Tecocraft. We had been scammed and had our time wasted by other app developers and this had set us back nearly a year in the business.

The problem was that we had a idea, we knew what we needed on the app but we had no technical skills for app or web development. with us not having much knowledge we was always concerned with paying too much for what we wanted. All of this had set us back several months with customers wondering when the idea we often spoke about would come to life.

So what we needed was an app for android and for ios, and a simple landing page website for people to understand our business and to download the apps. We also required some UX design to bring our ideas to life.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to have a functional app for ios and android. For this app to be scalable and be able to rsponse quickly to user requests. We wanted to have a launch for the app aswell. Our goal is to have 500-1000 downloads by the end of 2020.

How did you select this vendor?

We identified many vendors but unfortunately many fell short on what we required, some had too difficulty in speaking english. i would say around 20 companies were considered and the people deciding this were myself, my co founder and an app consultant here in the UK who would ask the technical questions. We chose tecocraft because of their ability to understand exactly what we required, they had case studies from what they had previously completed. there were on time and gave great advice. Instead of just doing what we asked they added valuable input and gave a reasonable price for the work.

We provided wireframes from our previous designs and then tecocraft presented a detailed design of what the app would look like. Once we were happy then they provided a scope of the project, their timelines and cost breakdown. Throughout the project they helped by the further creations and startegy. They have continued to provide on going support for the app after completion and have built the app for ios, android with we a website to compliment it.

What was the team composition?

We had the same team from start to finish. We had a designated project manager and a developer who we had contact with.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The launch for the app is on the 10th Feb so we will see how many downloads we get form then. From testing and trial feedback we had a great response from users so far. We will await the 10th Feb but we are currently tracking at over 100 downloads and expect this to rise to 300 in launch week. The userbility that the developers have created with this app has been the best point from user feedback.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project manager was on hand to provide frequent updates, although there was a time difference they provided updates whenever we asked. Understood our issues that came up and quickly went above and beyond to fix the problems. Any feedback we had was greatly understood and they managed expectations very well.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was impressed by their ability to understand what we wanted and provide solutions to things we hadn't thought about. They had extensive knowledge with app development and for us who don't have much experience they never took advantage of that and in turn helped us learn so much in the process. There strengths are there coding ability for ios and android, to create a good user experience app.

They have case studies for all type of work and are a very professional company. the project managers are fluent in english so this was a massive benefit to us when we working with them. Whats unique about them is that they were the only company we found that could take our ideas and transform them into reality for a reasonable price.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I think we could of drawn out the designs more clearly to give to the team and this provided some issues later on. Communication was great and we just needed a little bit more in some stages to make sure we were both aligned but this was minor issues. Once we spoke with the team it went perfectly well.

We wanted to add extra functionalities to the back end of the site, as well as overhauling the site's appearance.

We selected Tecocraft LTD due to their good reputation for high quality work produced within a tight time frame.

Once we had described the project we set up a Skype call, put together a list of tasks and began work with their developers right away. We were in contact over Skype, email and on Google Docs in order to share updates and feedback from both sides.

We were in touch with business manager Ankit as our point of contact throughout, and a number of different developers worked on the project.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The new site design is clean and consistent with added functionalities, such as a sign-up form, an events page with a calendar and a hidden members' area including forums and exclusive content. The client was happy with the update and is moving into the final stages of finalising the site.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication with Ankit was consistent. He kept us regularly updated on the progress of the project and asked questions when anything was unclear, responding quickly to queries and updates.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was very impressed by the way that the vendor was able to quickly comprehend our needs and the scope of the project. They were efficient and communicated with us clearly and consistently. They readily accepted feedback and went the extra mile to perfect the site.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I would have liked to have spent a little longer at the start of the project discussing the overall vision for the website, rather than quickly breaking it down task by task. However, this is a personal preference and the project was still completed to a high standard.

Implementing marketplace payment processing using Stripe Connect.

What were your goals for this project?

Enabling our sellers (Transport Companies) to receive their funds immediately and to enable a proper "marketplace" relationship between the buyers and sellers regarding purchases, communication, refunds, platform commission fee and Stripe processing fee. Offering buyers multiple payment options.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Trust and experience, we had been working with Tecocraft, specifically Hiral for around 1.5 years.

Tecocraft implemented the payment system in 20 days for a very economical price, the development demanded familiarity with Stripe, Laravel, CSS, JS etc, and an above-average understanding of the rules and regulations of the online fin-tech industry.

What was the team composition?

Hiral was providing oversight over the project work. Priyanka did an excellent job as the main developer and also had a great attitude. There was a developer or two as far as I can tell providing assistance when required.

It's a mandatory part of our product and crucial to the functioning of a two-sided marketplace.

Hiral stood by on all communication and made sure that their progress was constant.

We've been working together for a while now, so communication and understanding is imperative in selecting a partner in this, good knowledge of the work they do.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Only language, a bit more focus on improving foreign languages would go a long way. Communication wasn't difficult though.

Tecocraft was among three vendors whom I considered for the jobs. However, Kajal set herself apart from the other vendors when we spoke via LinkedIn messaging. Her knowledge, tenacity, and willingness to walk me through the projects, which is something the other vendors did not express to me.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Kajal had great time management. She worked on three projects for me and fulfilled them in a timely manner. Kajal contacted me everyday with detailed updates of what she had completed. She always made sure to answer any question within the same day I asked.

I am very happy with the final products. I am a very maticulous person, and always voiced the small changes that I wanted. Kajal would take that information and immediately make the necessary adjustments to my specifications. In fact, because my business is always evolving, I have decided to make Kajal my only go to developer.

We launched the app yesterday in our convention. Audience wowed and were happy to download it.

We had a daily connection on Skype and were sent new apk's twice a week with updates and bug fixes.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was impressed with their ability to work under pressure. We have informed about our wishes to handle a deadline 8 days before the convention, and explained this would require extra care and attention, and Ankit and the team complied.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Better QA and testing. Some times I had to report a certain bug a few times, even it was claimed it was fixed the next apk still had the bug.
